Dessert in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawai'i... I saw this new location of MOSA! and wanted to visit. I've been to the Waikiki and University area shops already. The advantage of this location is its free street parking on a Sunday and on holidays. If you park in the SALT structure, the first hour is free. Inside, we appreciated the good air-conditioning, colorful interior, and spacious dining area. Shared outdoor dining is also available. Service was very friendly and welcoming! Our server even checked up on us after she delivered our order! I got the one scoop of ice cream which comes with a fresh strawberry, a flower pot container, and a shovel spoon! The macadamia nut topping was $1 more, but worth it to me. My friend and I were really happy that the topping was on the bottom of the scoop, too. The Chocolate chip and Honeydew mochi flavors were really yummy! I'd come back for maybe even a triple scoop!

This is a Taiwanese dessert shop. They're known for their ice cream with shaved candy nut toppings. They also sell matcha, coffee and frozen tanghulu. We tried them out tonight and they were busy. People kept coming and going out of this small shop. I got the one scoop (ube) $6.95 plus $1 for the mac nut topping. My hubby got the two scoop (chocolate and cookies & cream) $8.95 plus $1 for the mac nut topping. You can also get the pistachio topping for $1 or the original peanut for free. They serve the one scoop in a cute planter bowl with a shovel shaped spoon. The ice cream was good. It was smooth and creamy. The flavor wasn't overpowering. I totally loved the mac nut topping. All of their nut toppings are made in house. The next time I want to try the matcha ice cream with peanut topping.

How do you Mosa... What started out was a cup of Matcha Ice Cream topped with peanut brittle has now shuffled to actual Matcha from Shizuoka Japan and knowing that I'm able to get a cup right here in Kaka'ako has been the joyous news as a matcha lover would love a cup especially after 4pm where many places do close not here as you can enjoy your guilty pleasures and so much more. Located in the former Bar 9 location there are some metered parking or if you park right in the building the first hour is free no validation is needed grabbing your favorite treat is even easier. The staff is so nice and friendly so welcoming and Mickey was awesome making my drink himself as I got the Matcha (or Coffee) with your choice of cold foam (Macadamia Nut for me) Peanut, Pistachio or Ube is available and sub out Oatmilk for +$1 and Peanut Sprinkles are free I can't help but add Macadamia Nut Sprinkles for +$1 (Pistachio Sprinkles +$1 as well) which I really loved at it just added that extra crunch and flavor with each sip it's just a unique flavor. The vibe is so vibrant and fun with brightly painted wall murals and the probably the most popular gaming is found here as well decent amount of seating inside as well to stay cool and get work done as I already see some are taking advantage of is nice. Mosa has many options to enjoy your ice cream in a cup or wrap which I already know and love so I had to try their matcha which was a nice sip but do really recommend adding the sprinkles as I'm crunching through it as well speak though personally could use less milk the next time as it was a bit too creamy for my personal preference as I lost some of the matcha flavor half way through my drink...keep it going as there's nothing like it in the SALT area of Kaka'ako and I very matcha appreciate it. Thank you!

One of my favorite new dessert spots! I've always loved visiting their Waikiki location, so I'm excited to have a new Kakaʻako location that's more convenient and has easier parking. The staff are always friendly and give great recommendations. Mickey, one of the owners, is super cool, and you can tell he's very passionate about what he does. They have a solid variety of ice cream flavors, so there's something for everyone. Definitely try the peanut brittle, as it's what they're known for! The shop is clean, bright, and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back again many more times in the future!

I love the matcha, it was directly sourced from JAPAN & they had a nice ice to drink ratio! Always friendly service, fun staff, & love all the ice cream flavors. DEEZ NUTS also give everything a nice crunch, great texture!! I got to try their Ube Foam & MacNut Foam - yummy!!

Nice foamy drinks. Ordered the Coffee base with Macadamia Nut foam without any special add ons. The drink is good and I wanted more. I wish they had a larger size. But, be careful because some add ons are Ala Cart.

A cozy corner in the heart of Kaimuki :)…read more I happened to find this place when I was searching for cafes around the area, and it did not disappoint. Honey Matcha Latte is my current favorite: just the right balance of matcha, milk and honey :) The vibes are so nice. You'll be greeted by the green green plants (which are actually for sale!), and then grab a drink down the hall. I also like how they have a "Sip & Chill Zone" where no ipads or computer work are allowed, so you can just relax and talk story. This is my favorite spot because I can just do some people watching by the window as I sip my matcha latte. It's a nice place to detach from the hustle even just for a while.

I think for my own needs for that day this cafe didn't meet my needs. It was very crowded. The…read moreseats left weren't available. There was no AC only some fans blowing hot air around. All the seating was very close so it was distracting to hear sooo many conversations and different volume levels. I wish the space was more comfortable with cushioned or relaxing chairs/seating and more spacious. The decorations were beautiful and the plants in the front were so lovely.

Hello Again is a cute little spot in Chinatown that's perfect for a quick matcha pick-me-up,…read morewhether you need to get some work done or just relax after strolling the neighborhood. They have small tables and cubicle-style setups with charging ports, so it's easy to settle in, sip, and work if you want. I came mainly to unwind and try a few of their matcha drinks. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. A fun touch is the cameras they place on the tables so you can snap photos of your drink, yourself, friends, or whatever. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the café and the matcha is decent for a quick fix. I'd definitely come back.

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
