The place is pretty cute and has unique decoration inside, there's even a paper clip table! The service was pretty fast and it wasn't crowded when we went, which was off hours. The Boba came out pretty quickly. I got the brown sugar tea boba and it was good, very standard.
This milk tea place is at the Old Stadium Mall. The decor is nice and modern. They have a few seats near the glass window. They sell teas, rice yogurts, smoothies and milk caps with tons of different toppings. What makes them different is that they sell authentic Pop Mart blind box toys. I was so tempted to get the Haci Pupu, lol. Plus, you get $5 off $15 if you use your American Savings Bank debit card. I got the large Mango Milk Cap $7.75 and the hubby got the large Brown Sugar Milk Tea $6.50 plus $0.95 for the brown sugar crystal boba. The Mango Milk Cap had real mango fruit in the drink. It was still a bit tart even at 100% sweetness. Next time, I'll ask for 125% sweetness. the milk cap gave it a creamy texture, which was so good. My hubby liked his milk tea, but wasn't happy with the boba. He said it was crunchy. However, it was his fault. He ordered the crystal boba instead of the regular boba. I'm going to have to school him on the drinks and toppings.
I decided to come back to try Lunar Tea again since last time I went was years ago! Service is fast and the cashier was knowledgeable about the drinks. Anyways, I ordered a classic milk tea, 75% sweet, with no toppings. I'll be honest, for 75% sweet it felt like I was drinking syrup. It was VERY sweet and the tea flavor was weak. However, my boyfriend got a roasted oolong tea milk tea, 50% sweet and that was perfect. I'm just shocked at how big of a difference of the sweetness is. Overall, I think maybe I would come back and try a drink at 50%.. but I'm not too sure..
I saw a fellow YES member visited this location and saw the drink she ordered...it looked divine so I had pay a visit myself! I ordered the Honeydew Smoothie with brown sugar boba and felt like a little girl drinking boba for the first time. It was so refreshing and at the perfect sweet level especially now that it's hot in Hawaii. The service was exceptional as the female who rang my order helped me with choosing the right item to buy and offered me a choice of toppings. The parking was not bad at all. I parked on the street where you can find metered parking and was lucky to grab a spot the first time around. I highly recommend you visit Lunar tea. Btw- they also sell gift cards and many other collectible kawaii items.
Fine but not my favorite spot. Lunar tea has a cute space with a few seats and easy parking. Their drinks are ~$7-10, which is average for boba these days, and I think the quality is also about average. I had the oolong milk tea and added boba, which I got at 50% sweetness but found it was still very sweet. It was probably from the brown sugar boba, but I'd go down to 25% next time. The milk tea was as expected - I wish it had a stronger tea flavor, but it was fine. Overall I'd come back here if I'm in the area and craving boba, but wouldn't make a special trip.
Love that lunar tea is consistently delicious! Have always loved their drinks, matcha, ube, fruit teas, boba, coffee, every drink that we tried has been consistently good! Parking lot is small and noticed that they put up parking signs to scan put in info but didnt realize it till we left! Also the last two times I went the parking has been full! Gave up looking and waiting for a stall and left. Everytime we are in the area though it is a go to! Their matcha is one of the best and actually tastes like matcha! They also have tons of gacha machines and Asian snacks to buy. Service is always great and they have a stamp card to reward you after ten drinks.
Lunar Tea is a cozy boba shop located across the Old Stadium Park. The interior features crane machines, plushies for sale and adorable moon decor to match it's name. Service is friendly and helpful. My favorite things to order are the matcha latte and the brown sugar milk tea. Their teas are strong and flavorful with adjustable sweetness. The shop is small and definitely a place to grab and go but they have a few counter seats and benches if you want to chill for a bit and enjoy your beverage. Don't forget to grab a stamp card if you know you'll be returning!
Very clean inside. Parking is a B**** (horrible) btw but other than that the everything went smoothly. Our orders wet correct and everyone was nice. But I didn't like that they have a "green tea" when it's actually a Jasmine green tea. I know this isn't a problem for some people but when you're expecting something and it isn't, it is. The taste is different. I don't mind a Jasmine Green Tea but they should advertise that. Just saying. And my fellow Yelp readers, be warned!
Cutest little boba shop! The parking in this little shopping center is tight, but I've always been able to find a spot. The inside of this shop is very aesthetic and very in-theme. The hanging lights above the bar seats are moons and their popular drinks are marked with a moon on their menu. There's lots of seating, from wooden barstools to a giant clothespin bench and giant dice stools. There's perfectly organized shelves of unique snacks and collectibles for purchase. There's even a claw machine to play in here! The workers were nice and the drinks weren't bad. Definitely need to try different things next time!
I was so excited to try Lunar Tea because it was a family friend's favorite place to get boba. I'm happy to report that this spot met all of my expectations and then some! I came on a weekday, and it was completely empty. The single employee helped me choose from their extensive menu. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had rice yogurt drinks offered here!! Prior to this, I had only ever seen one other place that offered rice yogurt drinks. I ended up getting a large mango rice yogurt, 50% sweet. My order came very quickly, and it was absolutely delicious! The mango was very fresh, and I enjoyed the chew of the purple rice. You don't even need any extra toppings. My only critique is that it could've used more rice. Please note that this drink DOES have milk for any milk-intolerant friends. My family member got the ube smoothie, which he said was really good and flavorful! But he recommended getting it 75% sweet. Inside, you can find some seats/tables along the window walls. I tried studying here, but the glare is a bit uncomfortable for anyone who is light-sensitive. There are also snacks and merchandise for sale! And a cute claw machine, too! Parking is free for the 1st hour (I believe), but there's a slight fee after that. But it shouldn't be much of a problem for pick-up orders. Also, ask for a stamp card! You get a free drink after your 10th purchase!! Overall, I highly recommend Lunar Tea. I will be back to try the azuki flavor!
Came by lunar tea multiple times during our trip and it was definitely a treat! We were brought here by a family friend and I am happy that they did. Each time I did try different things, so I got the regular brown sugar milk tea, and the Hong Kong milk tea which was my ultimate favorite. The boba was really good and the staff is super friendly. There is minimal parking but every time we went we got lucky. One of the times I called ahead on the phone because I knew they were closing soon and wanted to get my order in before hand. They were super friendly, and were willing to accommodate my request, and had the drink ready when I arrived. I was able to pay in store. Inside the decor is really cute too and they have a claw machine.
Wanted a quick boba drink as I was in the area and decided to try Lunar Tea for the first time. The vibe inside is very cozy with ample seating and gacha/claw machines, which seems to be pretty fitting recently. Riley was very knowledgeable about the drinks and patient with me when ordering as I mentioned I wanted something different than my usual brown sugar boba order, so she recommended the purple rice yogurt. Not too sweet, pretty good to my liking! I will be coming back :)
Their ube smoothie with boba is solid. It's not on the sweet side, just the way we like it. I believe you can adjust sweetness level. They have a bunch of claw machines inside if you're into it. They have some asian snacks if you're feeling hungry too. I tried their banana chip snack and enjoyed it.

I'm not sure why I resist trying new or different flavors after consistently ordering the same things. If not fruity then floral. If not mango then lilikoi. If not jasmine then oolong. If not tapioca boba then amber boba. Etc etc. Ironically this time I couldn't decide on the which combo so I YOLO'd and ordered a Hong Kong milk tea with grass jelly. I didn't drink it right away coz I was full from a late snack from a Yelp event. After several hours (overnight, in fact) in the fridge I was pleasantly surprised to discover the tea didn't taste watered down despite the melted ice. It did have a tiny bit of over steeped aftertaste, but I'm not sure if maybe it's the bitterness from the grass jelly. I'd order the Hong Kong milk tea again but not with grass jelly. The cafe was empty at around 5pm. Service was friendly and efficient. There are now so many claw machines! Even though it's been years, I am still impressed/amused/entertained by the moon mural and giant clothespin and dice seats. read more
TL;DR Awesome tea/boba drinks in the heart of Honolulu Strawberry Rice Yogurt = ONO Roasted Oolong Milk Tea = ONO Matcha Latte = ONO ----- Lunar Tea has been a go-to for my family for several years now. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them previously. Conveniently located in Old Stadium Square, Lunar Tea offers high quality tea drinks with lots of topping options. My personal favorite is the Strawberry Rice Yogurt with brown sugar boba. Yummm! The base of the drink is creamy and the rice and blended fruit add a ton of texture. I enjoy that the flavor of the drink tastes natural (enhanced by the fresh blended fruit) and not at all artificial. The Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and the Matcha Latte are also in the rotation quite often. I usually supplement with either brown sugar boba or grass jelly depending on how I am feeling that day. I don't have much more to add. The drinks are always on point! read more

We had a group order for work. We were craving boba and we initially started a group order through one company but after entering all the orders, that site wasn't working so we looked through DD and Lunar Tea was at the top. No one at work tried them before so Yelp to the rescue!! For the first group order, I got the matcha latte with boba. I inhaled it! It was soooo good. Sorry no photo but there is a photo in the most recent order. The second time around, we did about group order. It was late in the day so I didn't want anything with caffeine. The mango rice pudding had great reviews. One said that you would need to get "used to the bite" of the yogurt. I was more intrigued so I ordered it. I'm thinking that the bite meant that it was sour. To me, the mango balanced it out. The best part is that it had mango pieces!! This is now my "go to" drink. read more

One of my favorite boba places!! Was Hana Tea, but since they moved from Kalihi, and I found out about Lunar tea, we now have a go to for our brown sugar milk tea fix. Cute boba shop located in Moi'ili'ili. They have a cute claw machine with stuffed animals, labubu, monsters, coin purses, more stuffies, they also have Asian snacks and chips. Never had a problem with customer service. Always nice and friendly. Since we been 2 days in a row, white girl with braids and glasses, long hair, always nice and polite and patient. Sorry don't have her name. They have variety types of drinks from milk tea, to brewed tea, fresh milk, fruit tea, rice yogurts, smoothies, milk cap, and also variety toppings. You can also choose your sweetness level. Again, my go to is brown sugar milk tea with brown sugar boba - in case any of my friends reading this lol... and the wife likes the rice yogurts. She likes the purple rice yogurt and today she tried the mango rice yogurt and she said it's her fave. She likes it. Definitely make this one of your go to boba/ desert/ sweet treat stop! Not a bad option for boba! This boba shop is located along S King Street, and there's usually some parking available in the lot or along the street during peak hours. The shop itself has a clean interior with a gray colorway; some seating is available as well with cute merchandise stocked on the shelves nearby and even an arcade machine tucked in the corner. I got the jasmine tea with milk cap and boba with no sugar, and it came out very quickly. The cashier and barista were both quite nice as well. Overall, I liked my drink. The boba was sweet and chewy, and they gave a good amount of it. The tea was fragrant and tasted pleasant as well. I would definitely come back to try some more drinks, as they have a good-sized menu with plenty of things to try! read more

I got the purple rice yogurt and it was delicious. I haven't had one since Yomie Yogurt closed down in Ala Moana. Will def be back to try other drinks in the menu! read more
Twas a hot day, we had just finished thrifting and my kiddo's wanted Boba. We're rarely on this side so I had no idea where a Boba shop might be. Luckily 2 mins away from Savers was the cutest Boba place, probably my second fave on the island now. It also helped that my daughter's name is Luna and the place was called Lunar Tea so she was excited!! The parking lot was pretty packed but we managed to find a spot on Sat afternoon. There were about 7 other people in the shop and my kids managed to find the last 3 seats. This place was so cute! There's a giant moon on the back wall with the cutest sitting area and little moon orb lights. The girl at the counter was nice and answered all my questions. I can be annoying and ask for suggestions because I hate when I try something new and I don't like it. We opted for a mango smoothie, lychee smoothie and taro smoothie all with boba. They were delish and did not disappoint! If you love boba and the moon, this is the place for you! We got a stamp card and you can be sure we'll be back to try the other drinks. The rice yogurt drink is an acquired taste. I should've known not to get it since I'm not a big fan of yogurt's sour tang, but I did enjoy the rice texture. It just wasn't for me, but I could tell it was made with a lot of care and presented beautifully. Those that love yogurt would love it. read more
So many places have closed since I was here a couple of years ago. Since I was in the area I had to stop by to see if they were still in business. Great news - they are!!! It's hot as heck outside so I came in for something cold and caffeinated. Ceylon is my favorite hot to so I tried an iced one, no sweetness. It's excellent. One large Ceylon and I'm going to be set for the evening! The interior is still cute as heck and I'm glad to see it has a strong Insta following. I wish them many more years of success! read more
Midweek boba run. This seemed to be the popular spot on Yelp. Cute little shop. Bar seating & some cool wooden dice & clip to sit on. Packaged snacks & plushies also displayed. We got their Passionfruit Yuzu tea & Wintermelon tea with crystal boba. Both were refreshing and delicious. I love that you can adjust sweetness & ice levels. Their crystal boba is more on the softer side, not as chewy. There was no one before us but it took a very very long time for us to get our drinks. There were groups that came after us and we all had to wait for a while. Good drinks. We may have just gone on an off day. read more

Had dinner nearby and wanted to get something sweet to end the night. I started searching for things around the area and came across Lunar Tea. There were good reviews so we decided to go. I usually opt for a fruity tea instead of milk tea. Staff was very knowledgeable and made a couple of suggestions. My husband ordered a Honey Yuzu Tea (Large) with crystal boba. I just wanted a few sips so we just got one. We got two crystal bobas, I think it was strawberry and mango? This was my first time trying crystal boba and I think I actually like it more than regular boba. I like the texture and the chewiness. The tea was really good! Just the amount of sweetness. The vibe in here is nice. We didn't stay after we got our drink but we probably could have stayed there and enjoyed our tea. Will be back again! read more
Walking in to see cute decor and a painted lunar wall which is very on brand. The menu was filled with options which can be a bit overwhelming! My husband got the mango rice yogurt and loved it. I personally didn't fully enjoy my winter melon tea as it wasn't as refreshing as must places I've been to. I know they aren't known for this drink so I wouldn't blame them! I'm never really in this area, so I don't see myself coming here often but it was a nice sweet treat! read more

Been there more than 2 dozen times, seriously, I have the stamp cards to prove it! Our go-to is the Thai milk tea and regular milk tea. Their brown sugar boba is the bomb, chewy and soft. We've had their excellent smoothies, yogurt drinks, and teas. read more
Stopped by here a few weeks ago because the fiancée had a makeover appointment nearby, and I was craving some boba to cool myself down from the beautiful but humid, Hawaii weather. Was pleasantly surprised to find Lunar Tea, based upon Yelp's recommendation. And the fact that it happened to only be 2 blocks away from where I was parked, made the decision to come here an easy one. It's located in a very easy to miss row of shops, located in between a block of businesses. But there is a private lot with free parking, which made stopping by here significantly more convenient. The inside of the shop is actually fairly spacious, despite the small appearance on the outside. Offering a clean, pleasing aesthetics, with some limited indoor seating, and air conditioning to boot. There was literally no other patrons when I visited at 10:47am on a weekday. And the cashier who took my order was very nice and courteous. However while waiting for my drink to be made, I could tell she was new, as she was still being trained/coached by what appeared to be the manager/owner of the shop. Ordered a Mango Peach Iced Tea w/ Honey boba, but did not notice until I waited outside that I was given Amber Boba instead of Honey boba. Not a huge fan of Amber boba, but did not want to go back in to have the order corrected, in case it got the cashier in trouble. The tea itself was pretty good, and definitely refreshing on such a hot day. Will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Waikiki, but will make sure to actually get honey boba next time. read more
