    The library of ramen choices!

Build-your-own ramen + boba = dangerously delicious (in a good way)! Finally checked this place out, and it's a total game-changer. Ramen: Solid Korean ramen choices, and you can go wild with add-ons (gyoza, spam, Vienna sausage, soft-boiled egg, corn, you name it). Prices range from $0.99 to $2.50 per topping, for a fully loaded bowl--so you can go cheap or go big. Boba: The real MVP. You can dial in your sweetness. Toppings? Jelly, popping boba, classic tapioca--they've got it all. Deals: Snag a combo for 15% off--great for groups or meal-prepping your ramen cravings. Bonus: They sell pure sugarcane juice too--refreshing and not too sweet (unless you ask for that 20, haha). I tried calamansi flavored juice. Only knock? Decision paralysis--too many tasty combos. But I'll be back to try them all!! TL;DR: Ramen + boba + sugarcane juice under one roof. Do it.

You've got to BEE kidding... That's what I was thinking as soon as entered this newbie place with Nadine as we further our adventures as I knew it as a former tea spot in the past but they up the popularity with ramen and combined it with the love of boba as well. Bumble Tea Cafe and Ramen is located on Kalakaua Ave but not in Waikiki just head up north to a building on the corner of South King Street and yes parking in the area is very challenging but is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy as the owners here are just so nice and friendly. As we were wrapping out my birthday outing it was obvious as I was wearing items that would signify a celebration and ordered on of many sweets they have in their display case which was an Oreo cake and when he brought it out instantly put a candle on it and wished me a happy birthday and what a thoughtful thing to do. As every little though matter these little gestures do bring out the joy in it all as this new small local biz is just starting out (not all of the menu items are available yet) I can see with the constant flow they're getting it will be a cool hangout place. Sitting amongst the ramen wall it was quite overwhelming just trying to choose just one but with quite the variety one day I'd definitely like to give it a try and here you can also add additional toppings to your ramen to bougie it up cause if you can add toppings to your tea why not to your noods as well. Thank you!

Dessert in Honolulu, Hawaii... After dinner, Irene remembered that she saw a new place on Kalakaua Avenue where King's Tea used to be... Let's go! Bumble Tea Cafe and Ramen is a cozy shop with positive energy and a Wall of Ramen! It's really cool! Service is friendly and helpful! We were really lucky with a metered street parking spot right in front. Parking is free after 6:30pm. I got the Watermelon lemonade and Irene got the pretty K-Pop Milk Tea. The workers placed a complimentary birthday candle on the Oreo cookie cheesecake tart with fresh berry topping! Thank you! It would be nice to return and try the Build Your Own Ramen Bowl with the self-service Ramen station! What a fun experience!

They serve boba, smoothies, coffee and some desserts. We got the Bumble special and the strawberry matcha with oat milk. They also have seating outside and inside as well as a space upstairs. Perfect for studying or doing some work. Owner and workers are very nice. I'll be coming back again! Parking: street parking right outside the Cafe

Brown? Sugar cane juice (Not recommended)

Honestly the worst tea place I've been. I ordered what was supposed to be fresh sugarcane juice and it was definitely old, or left out to oxidize. I've never had sugarcane juice that was brown! The taste was off, and I didn't even taste any Calamansi either. The drink was mostly ice too as you can see. It also said on the menu "limited time" so not sure if that already meant its expired or whatever this mystery drink was. Would not recommend or come back. Waste of money!

New to the neighborhood. Boba, smoothie, juice, and a wall of instant ramen to choose from to cook there. The staff was super friendly. Seating inside and out. Bright and clean.

Walking off our pre lunch meal and decided to get a refreshing drink. Then we seen Bumble Tea Cafe and Ramen and decided to try them out. It was previously known as kings tea. We were greeted enthusiastically by Cynthia and she was such a sweetheart explaining all the different drinks they served. She let us get a swif of the jasmine tea and jade and I loved the jasmine fragrance so I ordered a jasmine milk tea. My bestie ordered a Watermelon Fruit drink. Real sugarcane was used so that's a plus ! The shop is really nice and clean with a ramen wall and two ramen machines near the front entrance. Chairs are so comfy to just chill and sip on drinks. It felt great to be able to just talk with Cynthia while we killed time too. I highly recommend going there for their ramen and drinks ! Be sure to stop by everyone !

Went for Boba and to check out the ramen library! The staff was so knowledgeable and helped us choose all the yummy menu items! They have add ons like spam, egg, green onions and the newest tech to cook your ramen in 5 mins. They have all kinds of Ramen that are hard to find. We chose Buldak cream carbonara, braised beef (not spicy), and fire bull. All were delicious! The owner was there and helped choose a drink- we got the honeydew milk tea, tiger milk tea, and sugar cane juice with calamnsi- best drinks we've had on the island! Boba texture was perfect and flavor was . Def coming back to try more of the menu items!

Cheers to Saturday family day n ramen!at our new hot spot!!

From the minute we walked thru the door, the experience was amazing. They shared knowledge on making the ramen... the different flavors n gave us samples of a couple drinks which we enjoyed sooooo much And beyond friendly n gracious they were....

BEST RAMEN AND BOBA SPOT IN TOWN Family friendly environment and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I also love the DIY ramen station. You can choose from a whole wall of ramen and also add your toppings (we got the boiled egg and mozzarella toppings) then watch it cook at the ramen station. We had the sugar cane calamansi and the mangonada and also got the strawberry coconut before leaving.

    Tiger milk tea

Super good quality boba tea and the lady who worked there was so sweet! she helped me find a tea she thought i would enjoy and it was delicious.

You need to try the Mangonada it's good!

First time at Bumble Tea Cafe it's a cute place where you can choose your own ramen. The owners here are great.

Honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly and their new item, pure sugar cane juice with a hint of calamansi!

The sauce to dip the noodles in was good. It was flavorful, salty, and sweet. My wife had a bowl of ramen. I got to try the soup and it tasted really good. I also like how thick it was. I don't like thin soup on my ramen, so this I really liked. My daughter was gulping down her noodles... just shoving it into her mouth. That is a huge thing for me because she's picky with food. We also had the potato mochi. I also liked that one. It had good texture, crunch, and chew. It was brushed with a glaze. The flavor was good. I'm not a chicken karaage guy. But I'm mentioning it because we ordered it. The chicken karaage were good chunks of chicken. Not like other places who give small chunks. My wife liked it because it had more chicken than batter. Service - The Place had good service. The food came out on time. Servers were checking up on us without hovering or being overbearing. They paid attention when we called asking for help. I was listening to the workers, and they seem to like being there. I mean, "work is work", and no one REALLY LIKES going to work. I'm pretty sure we'd all rather be someplace else besides work. Maybe I caught them in a good mood, but, it genuinely seemed like the moral in the place was good and the people working there that night didn't mind being there. Vibe - Small, family vibe. I liked that there was buzz but it wasn't loud. When we came, most of the people there were older, but as we left later in the evening, a more younger crowd started lining up and coming in. That tells me, they appeal to a wide demographic/pallet, which is good. Overall, it's going on the list of places to go back to and recommend. I don't really like going to ramen places during the summer because it's hot. But I would go here.

What's even more impressive- patrons can watch the chefs make the food right in front of them (making for a cool dining experience). Highly recommend getting there early- lines are insane! But for the most part, the line moves fast because meals are dished out quickly and guests eat and leave in a timely manner. And prices are relatively low compared to other places. I ordered the #2 Creamy Broth- creamy chicken broth topped with juicy pork chashu and a flavorful seasoned egg 10/10! This was absolute fire!!! My wife ordered the Chicken Katsu- lightly battered, well seasoned and packed with flavor. We also ordered a side of Shrimp Tempura and Potato Croquettes. Both were equally delicious, but the potato croquettes hit the spot with a well seasoned potato mash, encased in a golden deep fried breadcrumb 10/10! It's an absolute must!

They are currently exploring a new concept, which is a bit different from what it used to be. There's quite a bit of items missing from their old menu, but they have included new dishes to try. I got their Beefy Gold which has a lighter broth. I also ordered a side of yuzu peel & juice, reminiscent of the yuzu shio ramen. I'd say that the broth is pretty good (light broth is gentle to the stomach), and the noodles were cooked well. You'll probably miss the fatty chunk of charsiu, but they now have pulled beef charsiu instead which is stringy and just as flavorful :) Service was friendly as always and they were very attentive to our needs. Ambiance is a bit more upscale than their previous Ward location, and definitely larger. Will come back again to try their Otoko-Meshi items, overall just glad that they're back!

The open kitchen concept is nice, the restaurant feels much larger, and overall the new location is more inviting than the old one. Unfortunately, the food and menu changes were a big disappointment for me. The old location had a much larger menu with plenty of ramen options, while the new menu is limited to just three choices. The ramen itself doesn't taste the same, and even the noodles seem different. The biggest letdown was the chashu--it used to be served as a whole slice of pork, but now it's more of a shredded meat style that lacks the same appeal and texture. Adding to that, the new location currently doesn't have a liquor license, which takes away part of the dining experience. While the new space is beautiful, I left missing the food and variety that made Kamitoku one of my favorite ramen spots. Hopefully they'll bring back more of what made the original location special.

The biggest issue, however, wasn't the wait it was the outdoor dining experience. Sitting on the patio felt like being dropped into Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Every imaginable bird seemed to be there: little birds, big birds, one-legged birds, scruffy birds, sick-looking birds, and fearless "gangster" birds that stared you down and swooped in the moment food hit the table. They hopped onto empty chairs, circled the tables, and constantly tried to steal food, making it impossible to relax and enjoy the meal. I understand that outdoor seating comes with the occasional bird, but this was on another level. The restaurant should consider better bird deterrents because the constant interruptions took away from what was otherwise a very good meal. If you order takeout or sit indoors, you'll probably have a much better experience. The food is worth trying, but unless the bird situation is addressed, I wouldn't choose the outdoor seating again.
