Mini Chicken on crispy noodles was savory with lots of gravy. A little peppery and just right. The noodles were super crispy with bottom soaked and softened underneath. It was topped with debone mini chicken and Bok Choy under chicken. It was very tasty! Fried rice: lots Char Siu with peas and carrots. However, it was a bit bland, but could taste the salt in the shrimp. Avocado smoothie with tapioca pearls.... Nice taste and cold! Out of this Lanai Food Court, this is reasonable and better food. Service is minimal and ambiance is average. Ciao!

Service is still good. I was there about 10:30 am. In a few minutes I got my order. Order the Lychee Coconut drink. Strong Lychee flavor, not much of the coconut. I also had the Seafood on crispy noodles. Good taste and the noodles were crispy. If you come early, there is no problem finding a seat. Clean and spacious dining area. Enjoy

Singapore noodles with less curry - still tasty

If one orders an entree one can get a discount for some drinks. I ordered singapore noodles with less curry. Lots of different ingredients. Very tasty with shrimp, char sui, rice noodles, bean sprouts, eggs, and green onion. No line so fast service. Remember to bring a bag to carry your container home since it is very hot to the touch. No msg.

HiTEA Cafe is located in 'The Lanai' food court. On the 2nd level of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The Macy's department store side of the mall. In the former location of Shirokiya, oh no I'm aging myself with that comment XD There are lots of seating and tables inside the food court to dine in. And parking is within walking distance along the Macy's side. Their hours of operation are from Monday - Saturday: 10:30 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. This is their website here: https://hitea808.com/ And you can also order online through the link on their website! This is their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/hiteahawaii/ They are also on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/hiteahawaii/ The tagline on their website is, "Where Boba Dreams and Stir-Fry Cravings Come Together!" There is a good variety of items as their menu offers different bubble milk teas, smoothies, Chinese styled stir fry dishes, rice and noodle options as well. They started in 2015. I've tried various Stir-Fried, rice and noodle dishes from here. All very delicious! My personal favorite is the Beef Chow Fun. A classic! You can also choose different protein options like chicken or shrimp for this dish. But my favorite things are definitely the smoothies! Easy to grab and go. The wait isn't that long and they're made on the spot. Top flavor for smoothie recommendations are Watermelon and Avocado with the added Tapioca Pearl (BOBAZ!) Topping. Though I'm sure all the other smoothie flavor options are yummy as well :) and what one likes is a personal preference. Lotsa different available Jelly Topping options for $0.75 upcharge including Mango, Rainbow, Grass, Lychee, Coffee, and Passion Fruit. Also, Azuki Beans. There's a special deal when you order food, you can get a Milk Tea or Fresh Tea at a discounted price (#60-87 for $4.95, saving $1). Give them a try :D

Got black pepper chicken with brown rice. Huge portion sizes and made to order! It was piping hot when it came out. Everything tasted fresh and lots of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were quiet but friendly. Great grab and go in the mall and you can take it to sit down and grab a drink from the bar right across. It's pretty quiet in this food court because it's not the main one in the center of the mall!

The large, colorful menus attracted me to check out their spot in The Lanai at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Sooooo many drinks to choose from! They have a large menu just for smoothies and then another large menu of milk teas and fresh teas. The Jasmine milk tea caught my eye first. I asked the employee what the difference was between the Rose Jasmine milk tea and the Jasmine milk tea...like what would it taste like with the rose added to it? He mentioned that they were out of rose so it wouldn't matter anyways. I asked which of the drinks on that menu were popular and he suggested ones like passion fruit jasmine tea or peach jasmine tea that didn't intrigue me at all. I ended up going with my initial Jasmine milk tea and I'm so glad I did! It was so refreshing! I definitely want to go back to try some of their other drinks. There was also a food menu that I would definitely want to go back and try as well. Lots of Chinese food options to choose from. And no MSG!

Smoothie is pretty good... boba is soft and fresh. Best part is I did not have to wait very long. Shop is located in the food court so it's very busy and a bit noisy.

Today I got to try the Eggplant & Tofu Plate with Milk Tea and it was very tasty. This place is very convenient when you just want to have a quick meal.

Love it. My Pepper Pork Cop plate was ono. To know I can get good Chinese dishes made to order at s food court is awesome. I'm not a fan of buffet style fast food. I'm going back to try some more. It's a good place to people watching. Helpful staff.

Great bitter melon beef plate! Always have a good experience with this restaurant. I've also tried a few of their smoothies and juices and they're good too!

Just because we were rushing to get dinner did we choose to "try" the food here. We saw a lot of old favorites that you would normally see at a Chinese restaurant,. Prices though are pretty pricey. We ordered crispy noodle with beef and eggplant/tofu. The eggplant dish was bland. The taste appeared as if they needed more salt. The crispy noodle was decent and flavorful. Noodle toppings were not okay. Again lacked flavor. After reading other reviews. We may or may not return.

Also, the Hong Kong MilkTea was excellent with a cute little frozen tea, teddy bear on it. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves celebrating the service was excellent! Our server made great recommendations. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest disappointments of my vacation. The Singapore crab completely missed the mark. Instead of the rich, savory, slightly sweet and spicy flavor I was expecting, it tasted like it was covered in plain tomato sauce with very little seasoning. There was no depth or authentic flavor at all. The salted egg yolk wings were just as disappointing. They were incredibly bland and lacked the rich, buttery, savory salted egg flavor that makes this dish so popular. I honestly don't understand why these are recommended as signature dishes. I came in with high expectations based on the reviews, but left wondering why anyone would recommend such bland, overly saucy food. There are far better places to experience authentic Singapore-style flavors. Worst meal of our trip.

It's quaint inside, but again, old school, so you'll see some boxes stacked in the corner. Janey got there first and said the man working was kinda unfriendly. But I think it was more about not knowing who we were, and like I said, lots of locals that frequent. The woman working was really nice! I just let Janey order. We started with some delicious hot n sour soup. The fried rice was really good! Loved the crispy skin duck! The gau gee mein had a great assortment of vegetables! And the sauteed choy sum(?) was good! Overall, really good local Chinese food! Though the interior is nice, it was a little warm even with the AC. The first thing I saw when I walked in was the owner making dumplings by hand. That immediately gave me the feeling I was in the right place. Growing up I watched my own Mom make our version of dumplings, so seeing that kind of care and craftsmanship felt familiar. The owner was warm and very welcoming, and as each dish was completed she brought it out fresh from the kitchen, which gave me a chance to taste the food while it was still steaming. It was hot, but I could not stop myself from sampling it :) Everything I ordered was delicious and clearly made fresh. I'll be honest though, watching the dumplings being prepared right in front of me was a real highlight. I'm sure that some of you out there can relate to this. I also had the chance to meet owner's mother and another gentleman who I believe may have been family, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is small, but it did not feel rushed. We had a good time talking story while the food was being prepared. It was a challenge for me to drive home with all that food in the back of my car. I was tempted to pull over and just indulge, but I remembered that I had to share it lol My summary? Good food, genuine hospitality, and a great first impression. I will definitely be back.
