First time customer here. Tried the berry banana smoothie and it is delicious! You can taste the berry and banana and there's no added sweets like sherbet or ice cream
Mini Chicken on crispy noodles was savory with lots of gravy. A little peppery and just right. The noodles were super crispy with bottom soaked and softened underneath. It was topped with debone mini chicken and Bok Choy under chicken. It was very tasty! Fried rice: lots Char Siu with peas and carrots. However, it was a bit bland, but could taste the salt in the shrimp. Avocado smoothie with tapioca pearls.... Nice taste and cold! Out of this Lanai Food Court, this is reasonable and better food. Service is minimal and ambiance is average. Ciao!
Service is still good. I was there about 10:30 am. In a few minutes I got my order. Order the Lychee Coconut drink. Strong Lychee flavor, not much of the coconut. I also had the Seafood on crispy noodles. Good taste and the noodles were crispy. If you come early, there is no problem finding a seat. Clean and spacious dining area. Enjoy
If one orders an entree one can get a discount for some drinks. I ordered singapore noodles with less curry. Lots of different ingredients. Very tasty with shrimp, char sui, rice noodles, bean sprouts, eggs, and green onion. No line so fast service. Remember to bring a bag to carry your container home since it is very hot to the touch. No msg.

In the former location of Shirokiya, oh no I'm aging myself with that comment XD There are lots of seating and tables inside the food court to dine in. And parking is within walking distance along the Macy's side. Their hours of operation are from Monday - Saturday: 10:30 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. The wait isn't that long and they're made on the spot. Top flavor for smoothie recommendations are Watermelon and Avocado with the added Tapioca Pearl (BOBAZ!) Topping. Though I'm sure all the other smoothie flavor options are yummy as well :) and what one likes is a personal preference. Got black pepper chicken with brown rice. Huge portion sizes and made to order! It was piping hot when it came out. Everything tasted fresh and lots of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were quiet but friendly. Great grab and go in the mall and you can take it to sit down and grab a drink from the bar right across. It's pretty quiet in this food court because it's not the main one in the center of the mall!
The large, colorful menus attracted me to check out their spot in The Lanai at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Sooooo many drinks to choose from! They have a large menu just for smoothies and then another large menu of milk teas and fresh teas. The Jasmine milk tea caught my eye first. I asked the employee what the difference was between the Rose Jasmine milk tea and the Jasmine milk tea...like what would it taste like with the rose added to it? He mentioned that they were out of rose so it wouldn't matter anyways. I asked which of the drinks on that menu were popular and he suggested ones like passion fruit jasmine tea or peach jasmine tea that didn't intrigue me at all. I ended up going with my initial Jasmine milk tea and I'm so glad I did! It was so refreshing! I definitely want to go back to try some of their other drinks. There was also a food menu that I would definitely want to go back and try as well. Lots of Chinese food options to choose from. And no MSG!
Smoothie is pretty good... boba is soft and fresh. Best part is I did not have to wait very long. Shop is located in the food court so it's very busy and a bit noisy.
Today I got to try the Eggplant & Tofu Plate with Milk Tea and it was very tasty. This place is very convenient when you just want to have a quick meal.
Love it. My Pepper Pork Cop plate was ono. To know I can get good Chinese dishes made to order at s food court is awesome. I'm not a fan of buffet style fast food. I'm going back to try some more. It's a good place to people watching. Helpful staff.
Hi tea cafe located in the newer Ala Moana food court across Macy's! This spot is a gem and you wouldn't expect such quality food from a drink shop but it's a solid spot for Chinese! I got the chicken chow fun and it was a good portion and flavor. Wok hay was there and the wait for it was not very long. They've got all the hits like minute chicken cake noodle, fried rice, Singapore noodles, and many other classics. Did not get a drink this time but it's on my list next time. Located in the lanai food court in Ala Moana next to Macys, HiTEA is a great spot for boba tea, smoothies, or juices. They also serve food, but their drink menu boasts about 50-60 different drink options varying in fresh fruit or powder flavored varieties. I had the taro coconut milk tea on this occasion with boba. Boba, jelly, bubbles, and other chewy add ins cost a little extra in addition to your drink, but each concoction costs between $7-9. The service is quick (I think I only waited five minutes for a made to order drink) and the counter no frills, just the way we like a fast food establishment to be. Definitely competitive with the sharetea that operates a few feet away! read more
We stopped by HiTea Cafe to take a break from shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Known for their delicious drinks and teas. We tried out their menu of Chinese food. We ordered the Minute Chicken with Crispy Noodles. Boneless chunks of chicken that were perfectly cooked (nice sear on the outside and soft and tender inside), served on a bed of Hong Kong style crispy noodles accompanied with some Choi Sum. It was served Hot and Fresh. Simply delicious . Service was great, they were very quick and efficient. Definitely recommended not only for their drinks but their food as well. read more

Just because we were rushing to get dinner did we choose to "try" the food here. We saw a lot of old favorites that you would normally see at a Chinese restaurant,. Prices though are pretty pricey. We ordered crispy noodle with beef and eggplant/tofu. The eggplant dish was bland. The taste appeared as if they needed more salt. The crispy noodle was decent and flavorful. Noodle toppings were not okay. Again lacked flavor. After reading other reviews. We may or may not return. read more

The drinks here hit the spot on hot days, and I love the variety of options. There was a gnat or some bug in my initial drink, but I showed it to the worker and they were very understanding and remade my drink quickly. I got the limeonade, which was super refreshing and had a dash of honey. You could tell they used real limes to make the drink. read more
5/26/24 Sunday....a hot day in the island and adjusting to the humid temperatures of Hawaii Nei. We grabbed some drinks here located in a food court across Macys and Starbucks at Ala Moana shopping Ctr. We ordered a taro drink, mango tango smoothie, and honey lemon drink x2. Service was quick and staff was nice. Drinks had the right amount of sweetness. So refreshing! Happy drinks!! read more
Snack in Honolulu, Hawaii... The Lanai at Ala Moana Center is quite the busy food court. It's near Macy's on the Mall Level and shares the free covered parking with many other vendors. There are a variety of choices for everyone! I waited a while to get a clear shot of the storefront of HiTea Cafe. Then, I had to decide on which flavor to get. I chose the coconut smoothie (because it wasn't made from a powder - like the taro items) and took it to go... it was refreshing and not too sweet. I'll be back because the gal at the counter was friendly and efficient. She said that the products are non-dairy... yay! I'd also like to try their food - the menu (House Pork Chop and Garlic Butter Shrimp) looks good! read more
Located in the Ala Moana Lanai Food court, Second floor, next to Macy's. This review is for the boba lychee green tea only. Comparing with different boba tea stores, this one could be better because they do not offer a sugar level for the drinks. The drink was too sweet, syrupy and artificial tasting as well as the boba wasn't as soft, so I could only drink half and had to throw the other half away. Did not leave a satisfying sweet taste after eating dinner. Don't think I'll be ordering boba tea from this place again. Service was ok, and lots of parking since it is at Ala Moana. read more
If it weren't for my apple devices needing some serious help from the apple geniuses, I would not have known about this place. But on my way to the restroom in the food court where this store is located, I saw a short continuous line yet ignored them :P After ordering my Teppanyaki Farmer steak burrito, steak plate, teppanyaki steak with garlic chips (on all versions) on five different occasions, I finally gave in to that line and took a chance at checking out the menu. From afar while sitting at the high top tables munching on my steak plate rice and salad, I entertained the idea of ordering different drinks. Would I like a tea instead of my normal fresh fruit smoothie love? Maybe I'll give the green tea a chance. Oh chocolate!!! But what about the fruit smoothies? Mango? Hmm. Pineapple? Maybe. Strawberry and blueberry? Mmm..Maybe just blueberry? Blueberry and banana? Yes yes, I decided, I must quench my thirst with some vitamin C from some blueberry and banana fruits. So I got into line, ordered my drinks, and asked for boba topping, no sugar, and honey only. The salesperson looked at me curiously. She had never made drinks with honey only and worried if I'd like it. I promised her that I'd let her know if it worked and to not worry. - The MATCHA COCONUT MILK TEA with boba contained flat squares of ice which I didn't particularly like so the next time I asked for less ice. Still too much ice so the next order the cashier recommended I try it as a smoothie instead. I can't wait to try it as smoothie. The green tea is yummy! - The BLUEBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE with boba or grass jelly was an immediate favorite. - The WATERMELON SMOOTHIE with grass jelly was light, refreshing, and delightful! - The CHOCOLATE BANANA SMOOTHIE with boba was yummy and hit my chocolate spot. - The BOBA (TOPPING) is perfectly chewy. Nom nom nom! :D - The GRASS JELLY (TOPPING) is fresh tasting with that nicely crushable jellowy texture The sales ppl are accommodating and helpful. I appreciated their willingness to adjust my drinks to only include honey. - The HONEY substitute for the sugar mixture is healthy and delicious if you like that kind of thing :thumbs up: While I haven't tried every flavor, I appreciate that the drinks I have tried taste just like the fruit or green tea should. If you need a DRINK CARRIER, they will provide one for your carrying convenience. I saved my carrier and keep taking it back to the store in an effort to help them save supplies :wink: The TOPPINGS [select your fav(s); add 75¢] are added to the cup first, the drink is added next, the cup is then sealed tight so be sure to invert and shake the bottom end of the drink to homogenize the contents. The plastic STRAW has a perfectly pointed end that perfectly punctures the cup seal, just be sure to break the seal slowly to avoid messes. Now instead of steak plates or ramen being the reason for driving to Ala Moana Shopping Center to visit this food court, these fresh fruit drinks have stolen the show. For now, watermelon (with grass jelly) and blueberry-banana (with boba) - both with honey - will be my usual smoothie staples! :D Thank you for helping me to keep healthy with your yummy drinks, HiTEA! :D See you again soon! :D read more
Giving 5 stars for their smoothie! I haven't tried their food. The smoothie (avocado banana) had a nice strong flavor with real fruit, it had a lot of real fruit and wasn't watered down with anything. Bobas were soft and sweet. I love boba drinks that use real fruit and don't skimp on the ingredients! read more

Really good Chinese food from one of the food courts at Ala Moana mall near Macys. They cook to order so it's fresh. We ordered the house fried rice which was really tasty without being too salty and the house crispy noodles. I would definitely order this again good amount of protein and veggies and enough gravy to mix with still having some crispy noodles. read more
First time eating at this spot at the Lanai food court in Ala Moana Shopping Center. Glad I came. I went with the chicken crispy noodle and the salt & pepper pork chops. Both dishes were good. Pork chops were seasoned and fried crispy. Noodles hit the spot. Sauce was flavorful and chicken/ veggies were great. Great selection of Chinese food especially when i want to do take out. Lots of variety for everyone. Awesome service from the staff, order came out quickly. read more
My friends and I wanted something simple and I guess healthy (having vegetables). Convenient and a quick place for Chinese food. It's cheap for the amount of food you get. We ordered: - Crispy noodle and seafood - noodles were crispy, flavor was ok. A bit on the bland side. - Tofu and vegetables - two scoops of rice with half the plate of vegetables. Mainly onions. If you order a plate, add on a drink for a better deal. read more
This place is located inside the Lanai food court at Ala Moana. They're basically a Chinese noodle, plate lunch and milk tea place. So far I've tried their crispy pork chops and seafood crispy noodle. They both were very good. I suggest getting the gravy on the side for the crispy noodle so that it doesn't get all soggy. I've ordered it once with gravy on top and once with gravy on the side. It was mostly zucchini, broccoli, and onion in the gravy with a few pieces of seafood. For $15 you would think they could give more shrimp, calamari and fish. I've been on a rose jasmine milk tea craze as of late. I just love the taste and the fragrance of it. This one at HiTea was excellent. read more

In the Lanai Food Court. Drinks only no food. Mocha smoothie, coconut smoothie, honey jasmine green tea. Around $5 each. All pretty good. Not anything overtly special. I read the food is good. Big portions. No skimping on meat. $13-17ish 6/22. But again....we just got drinks only. read more

Every time we visit Honolulu, we always go to HiTEA cafe at Ala Moana. I like this location because there's a lot food stalls nearby that we can walk around while we wait for our drinks. Our go to drink is always the papaya shake. I love the freshness of papaya here. read more
