A TEArrific spot... It's been awhile since we've gathered so choosing a spot can get tricky but here we are at a newbie in the Chinatown Cultural Plaza where they do charge for parking but on Sunday all street parking is free and I did get very lucky to find a spot right beside the building. Located on the ground floor right across from Sandy's love the super cute logo of various sushi is definitely bright and cheerful is a unique thing to see in this area. As I did want to later browse around the area I passed on the sushi and decided to order a tea which choices they have does compliment with their menu items is very nice and cool. Besides on their menu there are some items that's not on it like "Refreshing Lemon Tea" where there was a picture of it right beside the service counter and decided that was it a simple yet so refreshing sip that I love. Though I didn't order any sushi my besties did and was made very nice and though we usually do know what's in it some of the rolls didn't have enough description for me to decide and wish that they provide that versus asking is much more convenient for me since I do have some allergies. The staff there is so nice and friendly as we were a party of five the four top table was a bit small and gave us another table and allowed us to catch up and hangout a big longer is so generous and kind. As we commented how adorable their logo is they gifted us a logo take out bag which was so thoughtful and with that will carry the wonderful Fruisea with me. Thank you!

New place...at Chinese Cultural Plaza. So if you're driving, choke parking. It's on the river side of the plaza...close to Lee Ho Fook...if you in the middle, closer to Tai Pan. Best part: 1. They are really nice there. All smiles. Apologetic for waits. 2. Good Special. Hopefully new one for next month. Special that ends today ... free drink for spending so much, free dessert for spending so much. Spent a lot so I got both. Lime Tea was really tasty and refreshing. Little sweet for me, so gave to the hubs. 3. Good prices, but it's in line with the quality. 4. Cute take out bags! Some things that need a little help: 4 pages of menu. No descriptions, so try to decipher from the sorta blurry picture. Girl at front super nice, but not super confident what's in everything. Had to ask, but better than just making things up. The "fancy" big rolls...cali on the inside. Too bad b/c missed opportunity to be super creative with the Sakura Roll. Cali and the sauces are a little too "haole" for my taste. I do like a good cali, but it doesn't need to be in everything. Ordered a bunch for my lunch, baby's dinner, and Ma's dinner. - Ocean Lover Combo for Ma - Fried Calamari - Came across more Italian-ish than Asian-ish. But not terrible. - Takuan for baby. Decent size takuan so baby will be happy. - Soba for baby. Big, so feed the hubs too - Spicy Ahi and Spicy Salmon Nigiri - not bad, but something missing. I think a spooge of sesame oil would be good. And more chili oil or powder. I like that it's not sriracha kine. - Volcano Waave Roll - Shrimp Tempura inside, spicy ahi outside. Usually aioli (I think) and kabayaki on top...noooo kabayaki for me. Too sweet.

I first saw Fruisea on my Instagram reels mentioning that a new affordable sushi place opened up. I tried to look up the menu online, but wasn't able to find anything so my coworker and I decided to head there and check it out. It is located near the river on the first floor in Chinatown Cultural Plaza. Staff were very friendly and seemed like it was a small family business. My coworker and I ordered the dynamite roll (spicy salmon, shrimp tempura roll), the tsunami roll (california roll topped with spicy ahi), the curry fish balls, and the calamari. They also mentioned this special where you get a free sparkling drink when you spend over $35. We opted for the yuzu one. It was light and refreshing. Would definitely get again! Very affordable and service was quick. I will definitely come back to try the other stuff they have to offer.

I just had a ginger drink to go. It had a nice ginger flavor and tiny pieces of orange rind too. Very refreshing.

First time customer who turned into a regular customer! I heard of this place from many coworkers and heard nothing but good things about it. I didn't bring lunch today so it was the perfect opportunity to try them out. I tried their Volcano Wave bowl. I honestly had no expectations but oh boy, let me tell you for the price, it is a MUST TRY! Their spicy ahi was tasty, it has a nice decent kick to it (nothing too crazy), ahi felt fresh. The shrimp was okay. It's your typical fried shrimp that you get on most restaurants. The sushi rice didn't stand out much to me but it was tasty. The portions are decent and the value is good. It definitely won't break your bank. I suggest you order ahead of time cause they can be slammed during lunch time. Definitely recommend!

Highly recommend this place as your next stop! Lots of different options of sushi rolls, bowls, n, platters, drinks, more and beautiful presentation. I absolutely LOVE Salmon! The staff were extremely polite and provided excellent service. It was a must as well to get the strawberry matcha latte! There is also tables as well for a pleasant dine in.

I decided to finally go out of my usual choices and try Ginza out. Ginza is located in the main ward building (the one with the theater), on the side, between Men's Warehouse and L&L. We got seated fairly quickly and was given water. Upon ordering we were also given edamame to nom on while we waited. We also decided to order two rolls, an AAB combo set to try a variety of things and fried calamari for food measure. We got: * Jen's Paradise: 9.7/10, heavily recommend. I was really craving sear salmon and it definitely helped to satisfy that craving. I didn't realize that the roll part itself ONLY has shrimp tempura within the nori (no crab salad, avo, etc). * Bomb: 8/10, clearly I lacked my reading comprehension skills this day because I didn't realize that this was baked... so when it came out and the entire roll was fully cooked I was heart broken. It tasted good, just not what I particular want at a sushi restaurant. * Chicken Karaage: 5/10. I do NOT recommend this. They remined me of mochiko chicken, but these were not very meaty or flavorful. * Fried Calamari: 10/10, fried to perfectly in my opinion, each piece was plump and delicious. * Miso Butterfish: 8.9/10, it was good, flaky and flavorful. Just not something I would order again, but it was good to try esp it is something they're supposedly known for. * Mixed Tempura: 10/10, yum I love mixed tempura, no notes, it was hot and crunchy. I would like to mention that our wait was quite long. I don't know why because they weren't like SUPER busy. It took 10-15 for us to get the miso soup and salad for the combo. +5 for the calamari, +5 for the first roll then a few minutes after for the rest. I feel like 15-20 minutes for our first actual item (calamari) to come is kind of crazy, it kept being brought to the wrong table (2-3 times). Our server apologized so its not a huge deal. Otherwise, I still enjoyed our experience. I would definitely come back again to try the rolls I would enjoy more (utilizing my reading skills a bit better LOL).

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

Every piece of sushi was beautifully presented not overwhelming. You can really tell the chefs put a lot of thought into the balance of flavors and textures. One of my favorite bites was a sashimi piece topped with something that looked like finely grated cheese (not sure what it actually was), but it melted perfectly with the fish and added a really unique savory flavor. The chefs and staff also had a good sense of humor. At one point they served kinki fish and jokingly explained that the English translation sometimes gets called "idiot fish," which got everyone laughing at the counter. The omakase is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, and overall experience made it very satisfying. If you're looking for a refined sushi experience with great service and beautifully crafted bites, this place is worth the splurge.
