After eating an udon lunch I needed a little pick me up. The girl who made my drink was really sweet and very efficient. The drink was pretty strong, heavy on the matcha. There no where to sit in this area of STIX Asia. So i just took it to go and walked around Waikiki.
Got to try their hojicha with Azuki/mochi balls soft serve and it was delicious! I usually opt for the matcha but the sweetness melds in with the earthiness of the hojicha perfectly. I tend to like sweet things so I don't mind, but I also appreciate a deeper and more bitter hojicha/matcha taste as well. Service is takeout and efficient - you can try and find a table around Stix or in the newly renovated area when you go deeper into the plaza. Ambiance is a quick takeout vibe. Definitely a very great idea after dinner and looking for a solid dessert place to talk and chill! I always love coming here. I do also remember when they did the Sakura ice cream with gold flakes and the cherry blossom displays. Overall definitely a solid place to get your matcha fix! Pro Tip: Order it in a cup for the soft serve to prevent it melting and being able to avoid spillage so you don't dirty your outfit.
Stay for Parfait . Located in the heart of Stix Asia, this counter is great for a post-dinner dessert -- if you're in the mood for green tea or matcha flavors. Wasn't quite full after a quick YEE so decided on picking up a well deserved sweet treat from somewhere new (for myself). Their 1 size parfaits are well worth the price and served in a LARGE cup. I'm admittedly not a parfait connoisseur but will say that the soft serve, scoops of matcha and azuki, and hard to reach matcha jelly i scraped up from the bottom of the cup tasted delectable. The unexpected Frosted Flakes threw me off but also added a crispy textured crunch I can appreciate. Honest take, it was kind of hard to dig through the toppings just to get some soft serve. And bummed it only comes with 2 pieces of mochi...but am grateful for the content amount of the dessert. . ありがとうございます for the dessert, Nana!
The matcha was good, it was on the sweeter side but I got it with oat milk (which explains the sweetness). But service was nice and efficient. The employees were kind! The store is situated in STIX so do expected foot traffic and lines especially during dinner time. There is ample seating and two photo booths, and is a great dessert after a heavy meal at one of the restaurants in STIX:) The hojicha ice cream was very sweet and it had azuki beans. Parking IS a bit of a pain in the butt but I recommend parking at ROSS and buying something, of any amount, and they will validate you for 3 hours!
The matcha here is earthy, strong, and nutty. It is the perfect sweet treat after a meal. I got the matcha with soft serve with 50% sugar, and it was perfectly balanced - sweetness wise. The people are friendly and very patient in explaining the different toppings in each parfait. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some good matcha!
Nana's Green Tea is a popular chain in Japan and there is one in Honolulu, Hawaii. Located in the underground shopping center this place is a small store with just a place to order. I got a green tea float and it is not sweet at all. So if you want something sweet you need to pick a different item to order. I like my desserts to be light and not too sweet and this was good. Fast and tasty, with plenty of options for everyone.
From the light green color of the matcha soft serve, I thought the flavor would lean more towards milk rather than matcha. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how potent the matcha was in this cool treat. The earthy bitterness punched its way through my palate after the initial milkiness; it lingered for some time without leaving a medicinal or grassy aftertaste. It's more bitter than sweet and milky but in a good way, and I've never had anything like it. Service was fantastic. The gentleman who rang me up patiently answered my questions and kindly gave me the kama'aina discount, even though I wasn't a Hawaiian resident. My matcha soft serve was brought out very quickly after ordering, and I was happy to see a heaping swirl of it in the cup. Nana's Green Tea can be found on the lower level of the fun STIX ASIA food hall. I enjoyed walking through this ethnically decorated food court, window shopping for things to try. It definitely has something for everyone.
I do think this place is worth the hype. They had lots of options so we were a bit overwhelmed but I believe we tried the matcha soda with soft serve. The pricing I thought was pretty good, matcha tends to be on the pricier side. This one wasn't bad at all. I would like to go back to try their hojicha or one of their azuki lattes. My first time enjoying Nana's Green Tea was in Las Vegas. It is easily one of my favorite places for café food and dessert. So, when I saw this one in the Stix basement of eateries, I was delighted to to try their current specialty parfait. Indeed, a big hit with the people I was with that day. My friends and I went back several times during our vacation as it was a great way to get out of the heat and relax for a while.
I kept hearing about this place and finally got a chance to try it when I was in the Waikiki area. Located in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, it is located downstairs by the restrooms. We came here on a very hot sunny Saturday, craving for a refreshing treat. I ordered the Matcha Shiratoma Float which is made with matcha green tea, matcha ice cream, and topped with mochi balls. This drink did not disappoint! It was not overly sweet and had a very rich matcha flavoring. It was so filling that I couldn't finish it all at once. We got here a little before they opened at 11:00 AM and there was already a line! Can't wait to try the other flavors. It's a great refreshment to get while walking around Waikiki on a hot sunny day. Might also want to take advantage of the AC and sit at the tables inside the food court.
Decent matcha place if you're craving it and in the middle of Waikīkī strip. They are located on the "Asian" side of the food court. While the drink was good, I didn't like that the sugar couldn't be adjusted since they prewhisk the matcha in batches.
Good matcha latte, not very impressive but not bad. They have a lot of selection of matcha dessert inside of an asian food court.
LOVE, LOVE LOVEE this matcha spot! Staff are SO nice and kind. Matcha comes out pretty quickly and the hojicha is tasty as well. Also love the location as it's close to other restaurants. The ice cream is delicious.

On a short trip to Oahu, my husband and I had an afternoon to explore Waikiki. This place was a happy discovery. It's on the basement level of Waikiki Stix Asia amidst a few other enticing looking restaurants we, unfortunately, didn't have time to try this time. Out of many incredible sounding teas and dessert options, I went with the (insert the one starting with an H) in a cone with Shiratama and Azuki. Yes, I have a rotten memory at times. In any case, this soft serve was delicious. It was like drinking tea but in ice cream form. Yum, yum, yum! My husband had the cold brew green tea, in tea form. Also so good. Service was friendly and I appreciated the Kamaaina rate. I cannot wait to go back here and bring the whole family. read more

After grabbing ramen at Bario right nearby in STIX Asia, we needed a little something sweet to finish off the meal - so we went straight to Nana's Green Tea for dessert! I opted for the Hojicha soft serve with chocolate in a waffle cone. I personally prefer hojicha over matcha, and this hit the spot! It was perfectly balanced - not overly sweet, with that deep, roasted, toasty flavor hojicha is famous for. The texture of the chocolate mixed in was a great touch, too. Between the delicious soft serve and how convenient it is to grab after dinner, this is definitely going to be a spot I frequent. Next time, I'm coming back specifically to try one of their iconic parfaits! read more

High quality matcha that tastes just like I'm in Japan. I got to try the matcha soft serve with warabi mochi. The soft serve was delicious, but i would skip the mochi next time... nothing really stood out about it. Staff was welcoming & accommodating, service was very quick. Nana's is a kiosk instead the Stix food hall. I stopped by to try the green tea soft serve. Their version has a good, solid flavor. The service was friendly and quick. Great stop on a hot day in Waikiki after the beach. read more
I love visiting here when I'm in Waikiki. It's not the most convenient for me since I need to find parking, then walk here, but recently I've been having lunch/dinner at Stix Asia and then having this for dessert. I discovered that you can park in the structure, and I think it's free parking for the first 2 (?) hours with validation. The service is quick even though the line can be long sometimes. There are places to sit inside or right outside. I usually get the same thing - Matcha soft serve with the kinako mochi. So delicious. read more

Located inside a food hall, I came across this spot while looking for dessert. I ordered the matcha/vanilla soft serve and added mochi. It was very flavorful, and the mochi was soooo soft. You could tell it was made fresh that day. The matcha flavor was strong, which I really liked. Service was quick and friendly. It's a small stand, so it's more of an order-and-go setup, but there are plenty of tables inside the food hall. read more
Stumbled upon this ice cream place after our ramen dinner. It's located in the royal Hawaiian center in the basement of the stix Asia. Huge selection of match ice cream or sundaes. The girls behind the counter were super helpful and swwet. It's super busy, and they have a lot of visitors throughout. read more
Fire. I tried Nana's for the first time in Tokyo and remember it being one of the best iced matchas I've consumed. They did it again at this location and it tasted the same. Their matcha is nutty and has that thick creaminess that makes for the best iced matchas. Service was super quick too. read more
Heavenly soft serve at Nana's Green Tea! Get mouthwatering softserve matcha at Nana's! Here's a great reason to venture into Waikiki and STIX ASIA in the Waikiki Shopping Center. Love love love the hojicha but had to try the sweet potato flavor on this particular trip. Strawberry and matcha are delish also. There's not a flavor I've tried and didn't like lol. Service is always prompt and very pleasant. Seating is available on nearby tables. Have yet to try the drinks but perhaps will on a future trip. read more

Was craving some hojicha soft serve so I ended up here after a day out in waikiki. The parfait looked super good and luckily I was with my wife so we could split it. The size of this dessert is way more than I could finish on my own. We decided to go for the shiratama parfait vs the warabimochi. Both are mochis, but the shiratama is plain and the warabimochi is dusted and flavored. We figured that the parfait already had a lot going on and didnt need the extra flavor. In hindsight I would say that the additional flavor wouldnt have hurt. The parfait itself is really good especially the hojicha icream part. I wish it came ina different container that made it easier to mix. It was hard to and so we had to eat the ingredients fairly seperate. I think it would have been nice to especially break up the chunk of vanilla soft serve in the middle. Overall tho, it was delicious and really hit the spot! read more

THE BEST. Can't wait for them to open a location in Pasadena Feb 2026! During our vacation in Oahu, we went to Nana's three times. It was THAT good! The matcha and hojicha parfaits were our go-tos. My favorite was the hojicha parfait w/ waribashi mochi! It's located in the Stix food court in Waikiki. read more
Even though I ate plenty of awesome and delicious things the last time I visited Honolulu, there were a few places in particular that managed to leave a lasting impression on me. Chief among then were a couple of well known gems, Side Street Inn and Tonkatsu Tamafuji, Nana's Green Tea wasn't all that far behind! Somewhat surprising, given how it's a mini-chain of sorts, but who cares when the food tastes this good! Since I only tried a spoonful of Nana's Green Tea's matcha the last time I was here, I never bothered to write a review. However, that spoonful was more than enough to make coming back an absolute must during this trip. Located at the center of the Stix Asia food hall, everything about this place looked the same as I remember. Most importantly, the menu still had the same intriguing collection of matcha, hojicha, and azuki varieties of their lattes, soft serve, and parfaits, as well as a few seasonal items. However, as appealing as all of them sounded, I knew before we even arrived which matcha treat I was going to get! -- MATCHA WARABIMOCHI PARFAIT - Matcha Pudding, Matcha Ice Cream, Vanilla Soft Serve, Red Bean Paste, Warabimochi (Jelly Mochi), Corn Flakes Cereal, and Whipped Cream...$12.50 This was even better than I remember! The pudding and the ice cream each had a lot of matcha to it that was both well complemented and tempered by the serve and the red bean paste. Also, the warabimochi had a nice chew while the cereal added a nice crunch. DELICIOUS! -- YUZU & BLACK TEA PARFAIT - Yuzu Juice, Lemon Sorbet, Vanilla Soft Serve, Black Tea Jelly, Shiratama (Mochi Dumplings), Corn Flakes Cereal, and Whipped Cream...$14 The Matcha Warabimochi was better, but this was still pretty solid in its own right. On the plus side, I loved the Shiratama (so chewy!), the black tea jelly, and the taste of the yuzu juice. However, between the juice and the ice cream, all that citrusy tartness got to be a bit much. In addition to how both parfaits just tasted so good, the other thing that impressed me about them was how neither was overly. To be clear, that's not to say that they aren't sweet; it's just that they weren't as sugary as one might expect them to be at first sight. If it's still a potential concern, though, getting this without whipped cream would be an easy modification, as it didn't really add anything for me. Even with summer passing and the weather cooling ever so slightly, Nana's Green Tea is still the perfect choice if you're looking for a cold, sweet treat. It's great to know they have other locations sprinkled in other parts of the country, as well as Canada and abroad, but, sadly, none are anywhere close to me. I guess that just means I'll have to keep coming back to Hawaii for more. Oh darn... read more

Literally my favorite green tea place follows me when I travel. Stumbled upon this on Yelp when looking for restaurants in Honolulu and practically cried when I saw this was there. We came 2 days in a row. I first ordered the matcha parfait which is a must. Such good flavors and textures, highly recommend. I also ordered the brown sugar matcha latte which was so delicious and a great not-too-sweet drink. I did also try the matcha soda on a whim because I was feeling brave....don't think I'll ever order that again. Not your typical drink lol Everything else though is a must try for sure. So happy I found this place in the Stix Food Court! read more

Matcha Cafe Maiko has always been my go to for matcha soft serve on the island, but this time around I wanted to give Nana's Green Tea a chance. I've only had their matcha latte in the past and it didn't wow me since I was unaware it would come unsweetened. I 100% enjoyed the matcha soft serve. You can get it in a cup or cone. The shiratama were chewy and bouncy. The addition of the azuki was a nice touch that complimented the matcha. If you're a local, they offer Kama'aina discount by showing your Hawaii id. Service was quick with ordering and preparing your order. They have a handful of tables where you can sit to enjoy your treat. Located inside Stix Asia food court in the back. read more

We often end up at Nana's for dessert because (1) they are still open by the time we finish dinner and (2) their matcha is good! It's not overly sweet and perfect if you're a matcha fan. I love getting mine with the warabi mochi topping. The mochi is super soft and glassy and the syrup pairs well. It's located in the Stix food court. The building they're in does validate but I think you need to spend $35 (which works if you're with a group and/or get dinner here too). There's some open shared seating to enjoy your food. They also do a kamaaina discount if you show your ID! read more

Came here a few times now. We ordered the Matcha Shiratama Parfait, Matcha Warabimochi Parfait, and the Matcha Green Tea Float. Everything was delicious. If you're a fan of matcha green tea then you'll love this. Staff are friendly and fast. There's a paid parking structure for this entire building, but I don't know if they validate. They have a few tables to sit and eat. This place is located at the bottom floor food court area. read more
I was searching for good matcha in Waikiki and stumbled upon this place located in the STIX eatery which is new and clean. The matcha itself is very concentrated and strong! It's more of a bitter taste and less sweet/umami, but I still enjoyed it. Thank you Imani (I apologize if I butchered spelling) for your wonderful service! I didn't realize the matcha came without sweetener and she was so patient with me as we added more to my liking. Kind interactions like this keep the world going round. read more
I love nana's hojicha soft serve! I'm a frequent matcha consumer since I don't drink coffee anymore and hojicha is a nice alternative. The soft serve is super refreshing and the perfect sweet treat. Always find myself coming here especially if I'm having a meal in the STIX food hall. Cone or cup is the same price here which is nice as well since a lot of places will charge extra for a waffle cone. read more
Yummy matcha soft serve!!! Great and kind service. I bought a matcha soft serve, and I immediately dropped it :( I felt so bad so I was going to just order another one but they just gave me a new one for free. They sell hojicha powder for those who like to make hojicha! The nana's in Japan sell the sweetened matcha powder so I was hoping to see that here as well. Unfortunately they don't sell it here, but it is a bigger establishment in Japan than it is here so it's understandable. read more
