We went to Matcha Cafe Maiko every night (4) we stayed in Waikiki. There are options for ordering at the kiosk or the counter and both are pretty quick. You wait for your number to be called and go back in for your order. The soft serve was very good, and their mochi is yummy as well. It's not flavored but its texture is on point, we really liked this place but the seating is limited and the outside can be a bit sticky or dirty.

I gotta matcha latte float. It's good, just remember it's not the sugary type, it's good matcha with soft serve on top. Service was really fast and our drinks were good.

Let's face it... I'm not in the target demographic for this place. But after the morning sweet-tooth from Donut King down the street wore off, Mrs. Picante and I were in the mood for some sugary, ice-creamy, matcha-ey goodness. We happened by the place while out walking (nobody may walk in LA, but plenty of people do in HI), and sauntered up. Gonna be honest-- I had a tougher time with the menu, just because we had never seen it before, and the 15 year olds running the joint (nice kids, but you know... I'm old enough to be their dad...) didn't exactly walk us through it-- just sort of waited for us to order. I pointed at a few things that were graciously pictured on the menu, and tapped my credit card. When it came out, I learned that I went with a multi-layered matcha and vanilla creation with mochi and fruit and probably red beans in there somewhere. I ate it like I was going to the electric chair-- very tasty dessert. Mrs. Picante is not a big matcha far, but her all-vanilla on a cone thing worked out fine, too. As a walk-up place, there was no where to sit inside, so we found a bench outside and watched the world go by. Luckily, it stopped raining for about 10 minutes during our 4 day stay, and this was when it happened. You're soaked anyway, so who cares if the bench has water on it? Not us.

Matcha soft serve!!! We visited during spring break so they had special flavors such as Sakura soft serve and bunny matcha marshmallow. It's absolutely delicious and perfect. They also sell matcha drinks and other variations of soft serve. Service is quick too since you order on a touch screen.

What I learned in Waikiki is - if the place has more than 4 stars in reviews and there is a line, then the food is good. Every time I passed by this cafe there was a line. So I joined it. It went very fast and the ice cream was exceptional! Pricey but delicious.

11/10 dessert. Seriously!! The matcha was incredibly tasty and balanced. The black sesame was also so good. I will say the workers were rude.

Cafe Maiko is a wonderful spot providing matcha dessert, as well as other Japanese flavors and sweets. This is still the best match soft serve that I've had outside of Japan, and highly recommend to anyone that is looking to fulfill that craving.

I got the matcha float with oat milk and mango soft serve and it was amazing. The matcha is rich and strong and the mango is very light and creamy.

This is a must try for Matcha lovers !!!!!! Waited until they opened to be able to experience this. We ordered - Matcha Latte w/ Oat Milk- So much depth in flavor even from the creaminess of the oat milk. I rarely ever chug my beverages, but this place I finished it by the time we walked back to the car. Matcha Latte w/ Soft Serve- Next time I'm for sure ordering this. The soft serve added so much creaminess to the drink more than just the oat milk , which I was an absolute fan of.

My family and I love matcha everything! My mom was craving some matcha dessert and we came here after our dinner in Waikiki. We were not disappointed! They give you a lot for the price and you could share this with another person. We had the shaved ice with Azuki and condensed milk on top as well as the one with the matcha soft serve. The soft serve is sooo good! This dessert actually tasted better than a few we tried in Japan. We will be back when we are in Waikiki!

We visit this place every time we are in Oahu, and every day we are in Waikiki! 2x this trip, 4x last trip. Anything is good, especially the matcha soft-serve. We had the matcha shave ice which includes the soft-serve and shave ice because why not both? They're public seating but when it's busy there may not be many tables. There's usually bench seating next to the shop of around the large tree.

My only regret is not getting a matcha latte. Came here after lunch at Marugame Udon so we were pretty full. When exiting the restaurant, this cafe is right outside. Was so excited to try and there was no line! I hear the line can sometimes be quite long. My daughter got a matcha soft serve in a cone and I chose black sesame Ube swirl in a cup. We ordered on the kiosk and they started preparing our order. While we were waiting, a pretty sizable line started forming. I am in love with all of these flavors, it is not overly sweet and it's so creamy! I could come every day, lucky for my wallet I don't normally like driving into Waikiki lol.
