This restaurant is perfect for every setting: casual, girls' night, date night or a birthday dinner. I believe there is a cigar lounge on the main floor where you check in with the host or hostess. Cornbread, drinks, and food were all . No complaints. Service was great. They do close pretty early so get there with enough time to dine and socialize with your party. The first steak came out over cooked but our waiter and the floor manager came over and took care of it; replacing our steaks at no cost. One of my friends got the lime potatoes and they didn't taste like lime and seemed a little too much oil for me, the mashed potatoes are better. Drinks: I love the old fashioneds here. They do a TX sized pour for $3 and it's worth it. Also, the ice cubes have a TX state in them. Too fun. Service: They were incredibly busy for a Thursday night so I understand some delay in the drinks especially, but we got our food before we were even asked if we wanted a second round of drinks. Large space. Cool atmosphere, but they play music loud so people talk loud which makes the space very noisy. This seems to be the vibe every restaurant wants, but I find it annoying. We were seated off to ourselves, until we were not. There were two large empty tables behind us and soon they filled with a very loud party, who upon arriving surrounded our table with a big group hug and practically smothered us. I finally had to say something, which I'm not proud of but I just can't understand why people can be so rude! Literally bumping into us! Service was smooth and efficient. No issues there. The appetizer list is almost all fried food. I have been to a lot of high end restaurants that offer to fix my order separately to accommodate my allergy. A few friends and myself went to Haywire for their cowgirl dinner, amazing concept! We've bee trying different girl dinners around Dallas and this was a great one! First, we went on Friday without a reservation and it was absolutely packed, which we expected. When you arrive, the 1st and 3rd floor are open seating, and the 3rd floor was such a vibe! The staff was very nice, we were taking photos of course and they were very kind, offered us drinks, and answered our questions about the seating situation. We ended up waiting for our table for about an hour which really wasn't terrible as we took photos and had drinks on the balcony. We ended up sitting on the covered patio next to the food court and they did have live music in the courtyard, which tbh was very loud and not my favorite part of the night, so if that sort of thing bothers you, request to sit indoors, but it ended up being fun! Our server's name was Tony and he was fantastic! He was very nice and accommodating, made sure everything came out to our liking, and was a total joy! He even recommended this special lemon butter sauce that is typically served with a pasta dish, but we dipped our steaks in it and it was game changing! The drinks, great, the Caesar salad, yummy with some smokiness, the fries, awesome, and we even got a shrimp appetizer and got more at the end it was that good! We had dinner recently at Haywire in Plano and it was spectacular. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. We started with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and it was chilled and delicious. The appetizer of choice this visit was the Fried Green Tomatoes which were lightly battered and had a pair of great sauces; one on top and the other on the plate below the tomatoes. The steaks, both filets, were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The Pecan Pie was a bit different, more cakey than expected, but the caramel and vanilla ice cream on top took it to the next level. Our server was in training, but you really couldn't tell. We only knew because she said so. I highly recommend Haywire for the food, the atmosphere, and the unexpected, reasonable prices. read more

The quality of the fish was very fresh and well cooked but it lacked flavor, I could not recognize a rub and the sauce was very plain. I tried my brothers ribs which were very flavorful and tender. The tallow fries were good but inconsistent as we got 2 batches. The dessert was the star of the show! All made in house, we got the whiskey pecan pie, with the bread pudding. The pecan pie was my favorite, very flavorful with the whiskey nicely complimenting the well made filling that was not overwhelmingly sweet, the cinnamon roll crust was amazing as well. The bread pudding was delectable, made with croissants, very buttery and paired well with the ice cream and caramel sauce. The area was very cozy with an industrial interior, crowded but not loud. I was mind blown by this massive steakhouse! Haywire sits in the center of Legacy Hall across from the Gucci store. It's about 3 stories tall with elevators and stairs leading you up to the different floors. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch despite having to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Ambiance was a check check check. I had no idea what I was walking into and it just kept going? Dimly lit with modern Western decor and gorgeous sunlight shining in. It was a pleasant surprise on a cold January afternoon. Shoutout to our bartender Marcus (or maybe Patrick? It was hard to hear) for being so kind and helping us pick some drinks while we waited for table. My cold brew espresso martini was exquisite. Chef Timo, thanks for a delicious brunch!
