In a toen with great burgers this place falls way short. The service was slow and just kind of lame. The food took sooooooo long. The cook actually makes one order at a time. Like from begin5to end. Then he does the next ticket. Was like watching ice melt....... The food, i had a mushroom jalapeño cheese burger with bacon. It was mostly bread and canned mushrooms The bun was from costco i think. It's a dinner. A greasy spoon. I love these places Because they're a part of our history and culture. Service is great. I believe the owner works at this property and he's not sitting around, he's running food and filling drinks, working the register. I love it. Very nice man. The food i was actually really impressed with. No, these weren't the best ingredients. No, this wasn't the Kobe, angus or waygu beef we sell at my restaurant... But it was cooked really well. Nice and juicy with perfect seasoning. My eggs, perfectly runny, my hash browns... I f**king love hash browns and people screw them up ALL the time! Used to hit this spot up a lot in the 90s with my family. In middle school and high school I would stop in just for fries or chili cheese fries after school. Sometimes I'd come here on Saturdays with my bro and play some arcade games. Fun times. Before today, it had been over 10 years since I've had a burger here. My dad and I were walking to Subway and decided to give this spot a new shot since their new management. We shared a double cheeseburger with fries and a small salad. The guy at the register (I'm going to assume it was the owner since his daughter was there with him) was very... not personable. Didn't smile at all. Wasn't welcoming. Service was pretty slow. Not much clientele really. Only one cook, which I guess makes sense if there's no clientele. The food/price ratio is fair. It's alright quality. Could be better. But for a burger joint it passes. There are better diners out there like Louis on 6th or Douglas. But since the last time they changed management it seems it has improved a bit. Was having my semi-monthly to monthly red meat craving so decided to stop and try this place since I've never been. I was skeptical as it is not in a good area of town, but didn't feel unsafe. Place is clean, staff is friendly and prices are very inexpensive. I ordered the jalapeno mushroom cheeseburger combo, and it was pretty darn good, and fries were piping hot. The only thing lacking is the jalapenos could've had more kick to them. I also like the fact that they have something on the menu for everyone, so if you have a vegan friend, or if you are not in the mood for a burger, there is plenty to choose from, including breakfast! read more

I used to love this place when I was a kid good fries and still the same, Now that I'm older this is what I see and that is not a good thing needs to clean up it act. Floors not clean and dirty dishes stacked in the dinning room and tile falling off the ceiling. Need a lots of TLC. And not happy service. read more

This place was always hit or miss and today they definitely missed. I walked up to the counter and I heard the cashier and the cook having a weird conversation about eggs I believe.... I thought it odd but ordered two breakfast burritos and a kids breakfast combo. I got home, unwrapped, took a bite, and wouldn't you know it... The eggs had a HORRIBLE sour taste. Like turned over milk.... I'm pretty sure all they had left were spoiled eggs and decided to serve them to the customers. The taste in my mouth just won't leave. It lingers.... A really solid fast-food joint with generous servings for the price. The Gyro, zucchini fries and Jalapeno hamburger lasted us two meals.

Disappointed lately.... Fish sandwich was disgusting. The fish had to have gone bad and they still gave it to me. The quality of the food has gone down in the past 6 months or so. The cooks have very little respect for the food they are cooking. Not so good any more. The burger patties are so thin you can barely taste the meat. I'm a fan of chilly cheese fries didn't think would find a place like the ghetto LA I was raised in . they are the bomb they are very cheesy and use two cheeses which I just enjoy very much they have pretty good burgers too haven't tried much but will soon read more

Fînding our destinatiôn Çalifornia Kabob Factory unexpectedly closed, we went to Hamburger Dan's. A simple spartañ setting of the kind which used to be ubiquitous, ample parking în an area known for parking impossiblity is very appealing to the hungry, we did find the food tasty, breaded jalapena peppers with good dreßßing, pastrami burrîto. Been coming here for years growing up, it's a whole in the wall for this city and always liked the service and stopping here for a quick bite but lately the cash register on the weekends they have is terrible to say the least. She does not pick up the phone, I called 7 times in a row and no answer and I walk in and she was making herself a cup of coffee stating she was busy when there were no orders, she also refuses to put her mask properly and talks all over the food with her mask right above her lip. She has the worse attitude and refuses to make any changes to any meals such as additions or substitutions. I just had a junior burger special. It's a basic burger with cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomato. I omited the 1000 island and got ketchup and mustard instead. The bun is toasted which is a plus for me. It also comes with french fries and a drink. My husband got the chicken club sandwhich combo which came with ffs and a drink as well. I am so full and my burger was the size of a mcdonals cheeseburger but wayyyyyyyyy better. Every now and then when I want a fresh cooked burger, I go to Hamburger Dans. After dropping my parents off on their cruise I was hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. I didn't feel like driving too far since I already drove out far to drop them off, so when I entered "burger place" in my GPS this place popped up. They have their own parking lot and it was easy to find, but don't plan on coming here when school is out for the day. I was leaving this place right when all the kids got out of school so there was tons of traffic of parents picking their kids up, literally in this parking lot, school buses, and just lots of ghetto kids coming into the restaurant for food and being annoying and loud. Thankfully when I got there for lunch there wasn't that many people there. I ordered a burger and requested it lettuce wrapped. The cashier, who I'm assuming is the owner had a super heavy accent and it took him a while to understand what I wanted. Once we got that figured out I noticed he tried charging me for two meals, but I only wanted one burger. We got that fixed and then I asked for a diet coke. He said "It didn't come, no diet." I said "You don't have it?" He said "No, it didn't come." and tried offering me iced tea. Now I love my diet coke, but found it odd it was the only drink unavailable, so had to settle with a regular coke. Again, this took a lot of time to figure out because of his accent. It did take some time to receive my food, but I was in no rush, so I honestly didn't care. The burger came out like I ordered and the fries were pretty addicting. Also the ranch was bomba. I noticed some young kids sitting at the high-top tables and I'm assuming they were the owners kids because a little 10 year old starting wiping the tables and windows. I usually have great things to say about this spot. A few misses (the taquitos were not a good choice), but usually good. The burgers and fries are great. The fried zucchini, not so much. I ordered them a few times because the first time I had them they were really good. But the last few times haven't lived up to the first time. Huge Huge burgers. Fries are delicious. It take a bit of time but for a char-broiled sandwich you should wait. Ordered Chicken bacon avocado combo and it was very juicy. They gave us a ton of fries and hooked us up with a ranch. Yummy! read more

Went here for dinner the other day. The cashier was nice, my order was made promptly. Although it was made to go when it was meant to be for here. The food was good, and the restaurant was clean. Also the prices are reasonable. I will be back soon. ** UPDATE** So looks like they have hired a new cashier. As soon as I walked in the cashier was bizzy on her cell phone, did not even aknowledge me or even say wait just a minute while I finish doing whatever it is im doing on my cell phone ... which is probably more important than doing my JOB properly ... Anyways, when she finally did aknowledge me, she wasnt too friendly. Sort of seemed annoyed by me and other customers presence. Im bothered because the last 2 times I came here the customer service was superb. Both cashiers (young girl) and older gentleman (Owner?) who took my order were beyond nice and helpful. I kind of really dont want to come back anymore. Worn out, old craptastic booths...looks like they are doing a piecemeal renovation of the dining room. My impression was that new owners recently took over. As far as making the place look clean and fresh, they have a long way to go. I was hungry and in a hurry so I ordered just a burger and drink. There were two orders ahead of me and the phone rang 3 times for orders to go for pick up. It did take a while...but, my food was prepared to order. As for the burger itself it was 3 star "A-Okay" as far as burgers go. They need to close down for a couple of days and devote some serious time to making their dining room halfway decent. read more

the cashier with those pink fake box braids needs to be fired. she has some of the worst attitude of any person i've seen working at a fast food place in a long time considering shes not even working hard!!! she was gossiping about her crew members not prepping in the mornings. the entire time while my pickup order was being made (30 mins after i placed the order with no one in the restaurant.) while it was being made, she didn't even help to cook it in the back had already orders lined up. (fyi they microwave to cut corners which didnt make sense considering i placed my order a long time prior and they charge 10 dollars for soggy asada fries) this place was also losing doordash orders while i was there and ms. cashier handed me the food with soda allover the bag completely unopened and acted like it was a chore for her to pass it to me. food was mushy. never again read more
