Aloha All, Always passed this restaurant and they always have a line of people, so I figured I'd give it a try. I waited in line till it was my turn. With all the heat we've been experiencing, I decided to order 2 shrimp ceviches and some water. The cashier asked me if it was for here or to go, which I found odd, because from the street as you pass by, you see they have outdoor seating, so I thought they would bag all the orders until a door opened and people walked out, that's when he's question made sense. I walked in and they have a small dining room with maybe 6 or 7 tables that can accommodate 4 to a table comfortably. I didn't see a restroom inside or out. Waited for my I'm order to be called so I can pick up my food. There are no service people, so you bus your own table, if it's a mess, you may have to clean the table yourself, if the help preparing food is busy. When I finally got my meal and sat down, they served my meal on a cooking pan, they must have been out of the regular plastic trays you get at restaurants or cafeterias. I expected the ceviche to be cool and fresh, it was room temperature and the cucumber and tomatoes were soggy, which for me means old products, the shrimp was okay in size but at room temperature it left me wondering, the only thing fresh was the onions. The flavor was alright, but nothing to brag about. I've had better ceviches at outdoor events sold by street vendors and I always couple that with 2 hot dogs with bacon Well I have them a , I'm on the fence if I'll return, I just don't feel safe eating here. I'll probably go to a repeatable restaurant as opposed to a Mom and Pop shop, which to be honest, shouldn't matter. Enjoy your holiday weekend and please be safe Mahalo! read more

Just ok food here! I got the steak nachos and they were decent! They loaded up with sour cream and guacamole which was good. The steak was ok but i had better. Now would i buy them again here, probably not! They do have a nice staff here because they served me a bit after they were closing early. The area is kind of shady. I would not eat outside at night. They accept cash only so beware. They do have an ATM outside but i don't know how good it is or if it charges. I have always passed by coming from the traffic circle going to the west side and seen this place many times. I most likely won't visit again since there is tons of other good mexican restaurants around town. read more

I love mom & pop restaurants. I prefer them to bigger chains which is why I picked this location today. Because it has 4 stars I expected amazing food, but that was not the case. Food was mundane and the quality was not great. My meat tasted burnt & not in a nice charred way. Fries were completely unseasoned. Worse thing, I received no salsa w/ my order . . . Casa Sanchez is a small little Mexican restaurant with outside seating and a drive thru. Everything about the decor is outdated and not kept up at all. Honestly, you probably wouldn't even notice the place driving by as it kind of looks run down. And because the place is outdoor seating only, the weather has aged and worn it out. But I guess we are here to talk about the food. This location is a CASH ONLY place. So make sure you got cash handy. I don't normally get my Mexican food from here as Los Potros is across the street. But sometimes, they just don't have what I'm craving. Casa Sanchez serves ceviche! And that's something I just crave! And the best part is that it's ceviche tostadas. It's just the perfect amount for one person, at least for me. I normally get shrimp ceviche tostada, which is 4.25 for one or two for 8. Which is a good deal. The prices here for food is actually fairly cheap and decent. The food is pretty good, not the best Mexican food I've had. But it's pretty good. The tacos here are good too. They offer lengua tacos (tongue) which you can't find everywhere. Thei They also have a drive thru which is nice too. It's rare to find a authentic Mexican restaurant that has a drive thru when you're being lazy. But it's literally down my alley from where I live, so I just walk. read more

This is one of the best Mexican food restaurant in Long Beach and I'm so fortunate to find it. The food is delicious and they have a drive thru if you're not dining in and plenty of parking spots if you are. The food is delicious, good portions, service is always friendly and attentive. My favorite is their grilled fish tacos and shrimp cocktails! The wet burritos are pretty massive and flavorful. Ordered ground beef tacos and the meat was burnt ; literally burnt , and when i asked for hard shell i meant hand made or fried and they gave me store bought shells and they were cracked before i even attempted to eat the food , the i only ate the rice and beans the salsa was good tho . Had the worst experience ever. I placed an order for super nachos with extra meat and no onions. Drove home and to my surprise it had onion. We were clear and said twice no onions. Called to inform them of their mistake they said come back bring the nachos and we will remake them. So we went back. Got our new nachos asked for more salsa and they charged me for it after having me drive back for their mistake. We paid and left. When I arrived home I notice it really didn't have any meat. At this point I'm upset because I paid extra for the meat and still drive back for their mistake. I called and the man told me that is the serving for extra meat. The other nachos I return had extra meat. I have been loyal to this location for years. After today never again will my family and I return. Very disappointed. read more

So glad we found this spot. It was open late and the tacos were amazing. So was the nachos. We sat outside and enjoyed our food. The employees/owners were so nice to us as well. And so inexpensive. Went here for a late night dinner. The service was beyond great. I really enjoyed the orange (I think habanero) hot sauce. This place is much less "American Mexican" type of Mexican food you would find at an Alberto's or the like. The cooked jalapeños were really good, and my veggie burrito was very good. Hi group being an old guy, I'm really particular about my Mexican food, especially here in the LBC, there are a million but a lot taste like they buy everything from Sysco food and that's not what I want.. Found this awesome place 5 min from my place on PCH near Cherry, and have to say I'm so happy and lucky I found them... It looks like a family owns it and the Pastor burrito, the carne asada burrito, the lengua taco was great. I went there today to try a couple of taquitos and they were very good... Pretty awesome size burrito (old school size) plus it's sonora style so the hot sauce is really cooking although today it was really mild but maybe they have 3 flavors??? This is a REAL Hole in the wall GREAT AUTHENTIC Mexican Food! Coming from a MEXICAN it states A LOT!! It's very affordable and tasty. My family's FAVORITE is the Carne (Steak) Asada Quesadilla. Fist of all, don't judge this Casa Sanchez by a less-than-satisfactory visit to the other ones. #3 is clearly better and different than the some of the others that share its name including the one on Anaheim and Redondo which I can walk to, but never go to as the result of multiple marginal experiences there. Casa Sanchez Number 3 seems to be owner operated by two really cool, really friendly guys who run from the cook's line to say hi in Spanish to customers in the drive through, say hi to you, and offer you chips with beans on them and bring them, and your food, when it's ready to your table. Don't forget to also ask for carrots and help yourself to their two good salsas, a tomato garlicy mild one, and a spicier tomatillo chile de arbol one. Notice the table to your left where a father and son are dining on big ceramic bowls full of shrimp soup sided with a plate of chips and beans and a bowl of chopped cucumbers. Check the pigeons and the big-old soccer field down below the parking lot. Notice the intense ghetto flavor of the neighborhood and this delapidated old taco stand and the people of all races and colors coming by for a smile and huge portions of good food for dirt cheap. First let me warn you, this place looks like a crap-hole! Second, don't be scared, the food is great and the people working are super nice. The old drive-in restaurant has been cranking out some delicious and CHEAP food.
