We usually come here on Friday nights and Mono is always our man! He is so friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. He is both the bartender and food server We aren't sure why the rating here isn't higher because the food quality and service is amazing! If you happen to stop in, I recommend the bar seating. We have never been disappointed.

My spouse used to live in Long Beach, and this was his favorite Mexican place. He was excited to take me here on a Friday morning. We walked over and we were about 10 minutes early before they opened, but they let us in anyway. They started to soft with free chips and salsa. It was very good. We both had a spicy margarita, which was big and equally good. For his meal, he had the chicken tacos which he raved about. I had the cheese enchilada lunch special, which was delicious. It was a very large portion so I was not able to finish it. The waitstaff was extremely friendly.

Food - *****A+ The food here is so delicious, exactly the kind of oooey gooey cheesy Mexican grub that is my favorite. The portions are large here so you can share or take half home for tomorrow so good value too! The guacamole is so fresh and chunky. Service **** B. We sat in the bar for the first time tonight. The bartender is so joyful and helpful with yummy suggestions of his favorite items on the menu. As he delivers your food he warns you the plate is "Caliente!" Ambiance: **** B. The ambience in the bar is the best of the 3 options of where to sit here: the other two being the restaurant or the to-go Jr. Mex. The bar is the most fun and we are sitting on the barstools chatting with some characters. We might come back here not only for the best Mexican food but the fun conversations.

Visited last Saturday for dinner before we left to our Carnival Cruise. Started my vacation with a margarita and a taco dinner! Husband recommended this restaurant as he had it on previous work trips. This restaurant is comfort Mexican food and just feels like a warm hug. The shredded beef taco and chicken taco tasted just like tacos I had made from my mom. The salsa on top of the tacos perfectly accented the tacos. Beans and rice were perfection! The margarita was perfectly mixed and very delicious! Can't wait to come back!

FYI: Lite Beans is a completely different type of beans. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at SuperMax, and I have to give them just one star. As a regular customer at this location, I often enjoy the convenience and usually good food, but this time, the customer service was utterly unacceptable. The inside is cute gives a small restaurant vibe despite it being a chain restaurant. After placing my first order through UberEats using a gift card, I encountered significant confusion over my request for "lite beans." I assumed it meant a smaller portion of the regular refried beans, but instead, I received pinto beans--completely different from what I expected. On top of that, the rice was served in a smaller portion as well, which only added to my frustration. I acknowledge that this was my mistake, but it's not clear that asking for "lite beans" would result in receiving entirely different beans. This lack of clarity in their menu led to a frustrating experience, and I expected better communication from the restaurant. When I called to explain the situation, hoping for some understanding, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The staff member simply said, "Well, sorry, that's your fault." This kind of indifference is unacceptable. Instead of taking accountability or offering a resolution, they deflected blame. When I asked if I could get the correct beans, I was told I would have to pay for them because it was "my fault." To make matters worse, the to-go person tried to share their own personal story as if that would somehow make the situation better. Honestly, when I am trying to resolve my issues as a customer, I don't want to hear about someone else's problems. It's incredibly frustrating and completely misses the point of good customer service. Overall, the lack of accountability and poor customer service ruined my experience. For anyone using the app, be aware that choosing "lite beans" may result in receiving pinto beans instead of what you expect, and don't be surprised if the customer service leaves much to be desired. SuperMax really needs to step up their game in terms of communication and how they handle customer concerns. The one with cheese is normal beans and rice. The one without the cheese is lite beans and 'normal' rice.

Food was good, nothing special but good. Staff was friendly, I sat on the restaurant side but the bar side definitely seemed like a good vibe.

Chilaquiles with green rice! So good!!

We walked by this place on a Friday night out. So come Saturday morning we decided to give this place a try and we were so happy we did!! The chips are tostada style and the salsa is pretty tasty. They have a menu of all their daily specials. I had the chilaquiles with green sauce and green rice and all of it was delicious! Our waitress was Lizelle and she was so nice! She would give extra recommendations to stuff we had no idea about, she recommended me the green rice which id never heard of before. Then my brother asked for some hot sauce and she brought him a few different options. She was definitely going above and beyond with us and we all really appreciated it! Especially mixing this great service with the great food, we will definitely be coming back!

They show the NFL games that are broadcast locally. So just the west coast games.

Is the Fullerton location open on Mother's Day, if so do I need reservations or is it just business as usual?

You might want to call Super Mex to ask them your questions directly. I don't know there holiday hours.

I think 3-7 weekdays, appetizers and drink specials

First of all one of their workers with the mastche and tattoos is so cute which is always a plus for the ambiance. It didn't take long to get our food. About 5 minutes and they brought it out to where we sat since we dined in. First of all! You need to get an aguas fresca. We got the medium for the orange mango and the Jamaica. They are so natural. I'm a huge fan of artificial flavor so this was a huge shock, but it pairs so well with their food. My only regret isn't getting the large. For the food we got the burrito 2.0 asada and the chivichanga chicken. The burrito was great but very heavy on the beans. Make sure you get extra green salsa. It's their best and a perfect balance of salty with a hint of sweet. The red salsa gets spicy. If you can't handle hot Cheetos don't eat it. Now the chivichanga thing was perfect. It's so tiny but the fact it's about $5 was perfect. I have never had something so well priced and portioned before. The way I can describe it if you ever wanted to taste high class Taco Bell that will make you want four more then you need to try it. And I mean this in the best way possible. It's so cheesy and savory and yummy!!! Truly just from these two dishes we will be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Our next dishes is to try the tacos!

We ordered caramelos with the poblanos inside, as well as their horchata. Tortillas are some of the best I've had. Super soft and flavorful from the grill. The fillings and salsa were good too, but it was really wet, and the bean ratio especially compared to the meat, was a little off. Always am going to want more meat. Horchata was unique since it was coconut based. Overall solid spot with patient staff. Tacos La Rueda is still better, but will be back when in Long Beach.

It's normally taco Tuesday or dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived. Mainly everyone was seated outside which we wanted a table as well. There was one that we were interested in and asked if we could have it which the waitress working was ok with. But it needed clearing up. It took a while for someone to come out and clear and clean the table up. It was fine waiting but it was like did someone forget about us. Anyways. We got seated and then the waiting continued. It could be that they were short staff but it seemed like there was only one person working. It took a while for someone to finally come back and acknowledge us and take our order. After that the chips and salsa were brought out. Once we ordered the drinks it was easier to place everything together. Menu for happy hour is pretty limited. A few drinks and beer on drafts and for food, maybe 6 items on the menu. Went with an order of the street corn which was quite tasty. An order of the mole chicken nachos and the queso dip with barria. Out of the three, the queso dips and the street corn were great. Nachos were good but nothing really major. The flavors of everything were quite tasty. Dishes were 12.00 an item. For happy hour, it was decent and what we had was good. The service was pretty slow at the beginning. Only the front patio and inside seating was available as the back patio wasn't open. We did start to see other staff walking in so maybe there was only one staff during the time.

The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH.
