First time at El Chivito Restaurante in Long Beach and 9th and I had an amazing experience. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. I ordered the Chorizo Omelette with extra added some veggies and graciously accommodated my request. The omelette is delicious and just the right balance of ingredients. The star though are these homestyle potatoes. So perfectly tender and lightly flavored to perfection. Unlimited refills on Horchata and that's a plus. The service and atmosphere is top notch. Happy to support a neighborhood spot. Next I'll go for the Birria. read more

Very nice , very clean, great customer service. I forgot to take a picture of my food, but we got tacos, regular asada and birria asada with cheese, a veggie burrito and piña frescas. We were also given fresh chips and salsa, two types of salsa. We were offered a second round of chips but when they came out they were burnt. The waitress did offer to make new ones though, but we declined. I really loved how clean and nicely setup they were the most, but I would still also recommend to give their food a try! read more

Our family visited Long Beach from Southern Utah today. We craved mexican food and saw this place near us. Let's just say the food was amazing. My husband got birria tacos, I got green chicken enchiladas, and my mother in law ordered carne asada chilaquiles. Service with Sauri was great, she was attentive, helpful, and welcoming. The chef/cook Jorge gave us amazing food and was very friendly. Overall 10/10 experience. If you're ever in Long Beach and want amazing mexican dishes.. definitely come here. Place is also very clean so we appreciated that. read more

I live in the neighborhood and was walking by and saw a sign for Chilaquiles on the window and had to give it a shot. Most important thing first, food was great. The chips were perfectly sauced, my carnitas were as flavorful as I'd expect them to be. Great dish. Even more importantly though, the customer service is phenomenal. The girl Mona who was working the front was very welcoming and obviously loves her job. She was attentive without being too much, just fantastic. It's a small but adorable place. They have a cute Instagramable wall for pics for ppl who do that sort of thing. It was nice having a leisurely Sunday breakfast at a cute little spot in my neighborhood. The birria tacos are next level... seriously, some of the best I've had anywhere. The customer service is top notch. The staff really takes care of you and pays attention to all the little details. They make you feel welcome every time you walk in. The place is always very clean and nicely decorated, you can tell they put a lot of pride into keeping it inviting and comfortable. The menu is huge too, so there's always something new to try, and so far, everything we've ordered has been amazing. Serving old school mexican food, along with a selection of breakfast items, tacos and enchiladas and they do birria as well. First off the service was Impeccable and the attention to detail was off the charts. Mona was welcoming as we stepped through the door. Ambience is cozy and clean. This is a family run and owned business. The owner Jose the man behind the grill is a sweet man who loves to cook and takes pride in his work. Mona asked us what we wanted to order, we decided to take a seat and look at the menu. Mona brought out chips and salsa for us, the salsa is simple and clean with a kick at the back of your throat. My husband decided to order a breakfast burrito his way. This entails a lot of specialty requests and Jose did not disappoint. I ordered the childrens cheeseburger protein style and It comes with fries and it was tasty and hit the spot. They are open seven days a week from 8:AM/8:PM. They are working on a website and paper menues for on the go. They do take phone orders for pickup and various delivery apps.
