10/11/22 Taco plate with rice, beans, and a small drink for $12.00!! Incredible value!
    L G.

After reading the favorable reviews of this spot, I decided to give this place a shot! So glad I did, my coworkers also enjoyed their plates as well. I ordered the taco plate which come with a reasonable serving of rice and beans, 3 soft tacos, a yellow pepper and lemon PLUS a small drink all for $12.00. Now THATS value. Also the gentleman behind the counter was so incredibly kind and pleasant and helped everyone, honestly, filled with joy. Great spot!

Decided to try something new then my usual today should of known better. Usually get the choriqueso but today decided to order the Carne Asada Fries. I wasn't sure what it came with I just told my friend to get no onions and all sour-cream no guacamole. I open it up and there is runny liquid cheese lettuce an tomatoes on top of the fries an meat. I picked off the lettuce an tomato an still gave it a shot but a few bits in an I ate an onion. Mind u I said no onions cause I am allergic. I honestly think it mixed in with the lettuce a lil but Still. I picked and ate around what I could but definitely not a good item to order. They need real cheese slightly melted on it too. Love the Choriqueso though have to get xtra chips with ur.

Love the food here! The cashier is so friendly and helpful I'll eat here when I'm in the area. And so far I've returned three times. My first time I ordered the nachos loco which had beef, chicken, and shrimp. So good. Carnitas quesadilla's also excellent. Third time I tried the beef enchiladas, didn't disappoint. Prices are reasonable, there are always several specials. I might just go tomorrow too.

Very clean and friendly service. I came to the Long Beach courthouse to handle a ticket and became extremely hungry. I walked out of the courthouse and connected to it I found this place right outside. I saw Mexican and I knew I had to try it. I was greeted right away by Carlos, who was extremely kind and eager to get me to try their nachos. I immediately agreed that it would be a good idea and gave them a try. Within 10 minutes my food was prepared and I sat outside to eat. Now the only reason why it's not getting a five star review was because of the chips. The chips were stale. It was uncomfortable trying to take a bite into the stale chips. Other than that, the meat was amazing. I was starving so I finished all my food. They gave me two salsas and they tasted good. Nothing extra special or nice but a decent tasting salsa. They have a huge menu so don't be shy to try other stuff. The staff is pretty nice and they clean and sanitize the place. Overall, i hope they change up their chips so I can change my review to five stars!

Enchilada plate with hair in the enchilada.

This restaurant is new, today was their grand opening. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. This is not traditional Mexican food: it's more Tex-Mex. I had the enchilada plate and a small coke: $11. The chicken was dry, the enchilada sauce is too tomato heavy, making it taste more like pasta sauce than enchilada sauce. The beans and rice were passable, but barely lukewarm . The worst part was finding a hair in my food (see pic). Maybe this was all due to first day jitters, but I won't be returning.

Stopped by this cool Mexican spot in DTLB. The dude up front was very nice and explained everything that he recommended. I ended up going with a asada burrito and it turned out great. I only paid 8 bucks and got the burrito chips and a coke. Not only was it tasty and inexpensive, I was surprised how fast I was able to get my order. I Will definitely be back.

I had the 3 Primos Fajitas and they were amazing!!! I'm guessing that's their signature meal... it comes with Chicken, Steak and Shrimp. Of course with all the grilled veggies, rice and beans... it's a must try.

I was in the area and being that we're in time of lent...I decided to have a shrimp cocktail on good Friday , it was delicious.

Food was so so. Did not like the chips. Enchiladas were small. Tacos ok. Tiny portion of rice. Too expensive for what got.

It's normally taco Tuesday or dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived. Mainly everyone was seated outside which we wanted a table as well. There was one that we were interested in and asked if we could have it which the waitress working was ok with. But it needed clearing up. It took a while for someone to come out and clear and clean the table up. It was fine waiting but it was like did someone forget about us. Anyways. We got seated and then the waiting continued. It could be that they were short staff but it seemed like there was only one person working. It took a while for someone to finally come back and acknowledge us and take our order. After that the chips and salsa were brought out. Once we ordered the drinks it was easier to place everything together. Menu for happy hour is pretty limited. A few drinks and beer on drafts and for food, maybe 6 items on the menu. Went with an order of the street corn which was quite tasty. An order of the mole chicken nachos and the queso dip with barria. Out of the three, the queso dips and the street corn were great. Nachos were good but nothing really major. The flavors of everything were quite tasty. Dishes were 12.00 an item. For happy hour, it was decent and what we had was good. The service was pretty slow at the beginning. Only the front patio and inside seating was available as the back patio wasn't open. We did start to see other staff walking in so maybe there was only one staff during the time.

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

Seeing people going in and out which I knew it was a restaurant. Last night we started off with drinks at the speakeasy next door. The two places share restrooms and that's how I found out about this place. Let me say it was a vibe. The first thing you notice from the back, the bar area and Photo Booth. And the live DJ keeping the place on its feet. We ended up wanted to check it out as it was a full restaurant and bar. Friday night without a reservation, spoke with hostess which they could accommodate 6 of us in a bit. Still had to close out at the other place before. The restaurant has a cool vibe with the main dining area in front, bar area towards the back side and on the opposite site is where the DJ booth was. Sam was our waitress who took very good care of us. Very sweet, friendly and of course attentive. Made sure that we were well taken cared of and if anything was needed she was there. It's a cool Mexican restaurant with a cool vibe to match. The place did get lively and was pretty full. You had parties up and dancing and enjoying themselves. Anyway, food and drinks. Started off with some spicy margaritas. Wow, they were strong but good. You had to sip versus drink... lol... Bartender was not playing and in a good way. The menu is somewhat limited compared to other restaurants but what was offered all looked amazing. A modern twist to Mexican food but still with the amazing authentic flavors. Instead of a meal we opted for à la carte and shared everything. Also was informed that the dishes are like tapas and great for sharing. Chips and salsa were brought out which both the chips and salsa were excellent. An order or the aguachille which had that nice sour taste with the lime juice perfectly balanced for the shrimp and trimmings. Served with tostada. The shrimp ceviche, another wonderful dish. Nicely marinaded in the lime juice was very flavorful and also served with tostada. An order of the enchiladas, came with three but we split it for 6 of us. The cheese and filling was very good. The molcajete served in a volcanic bowl stuffed with different meat, cactus, cheese all combined to create an amazing dish full of flavors. A must have and lastly the adobado hamachi collar, yellowtail. Very tasty but did have a fishy taste. Yes it's fish but still. Quite tasty and plentiful. Overall food and vibe was great. The place was definitely lively in the evening. We can finally say we've been and tried some amazing dish. It's a place that worth coming back for more.
