I was craving carne asada fries today and I came across this place on grubhub and they offered a coupon. When I got to the location to pick up my order during the time frame, it wasn't ready yet and I think I had to wait around 10-15 minutes. My only complaint is I would recommend them being more transparent with when the food will be ready. But it was worth the wait cause the carne asada fries were bomb and it came with a lot for a good price. One order of carne asada fries can be shared with 2-3 people. You can imagine my horror (after placing a $40 order) to discover I placed an order with Tacos Panchito in Corona...NOT Long Beach! Mortified, I got on the phone with the Corona location to try to cancel the order, in hopes of both not wasting food and getting a refund. While I waited to speak with a manager, my BF jumped on his phone to place an order with the LBC location. As for the Corona order, I eventually spoke with Rami, who was super nice and helped me without any issues. (I was so relieved! I'm not made of money.) Rami also went out of his way to help us navigate how to pick up our order from their Long Beach "Cloud Kitchen," which was a first-time experience for us, so we were super grateful. Rami dazzled yet again when he text me about an hour later to ask how our food was! Let me tell you, that level of customer service is never a requirement for me, but BOY do I SUPER appreciate it. Decided to try this place yesterday evening because it has good reviews and it's close by my house but my wet burrito was not wet. Which was annoying. Overall it had good flavor but the tortilla was soggy and it just fell apart when I added lime and salsa. I also ordered rice and beans for my family but the beans were overly salty. All in all, I had heart burn all night and couldn't sleep. I wasn't even going to write a review but here I am the next morning at work with the runs, stomach cramps and no appetite. The best quesabirria I know in Long Beach. Very tasty, especially when combined with consommé, guacamole, and sour cream. Their cabeza tacos/burritos, asada fries/nachos, and torta cubana are fine too. They have always been great with accommodating my custom requests when I order delivery too. Personally, I think Tacos Panchito has savory birria and cabeza, so these meat options go well in their classic dishes like tacos, burritos, mulitas, quesadillas...Their asada and grilled chicken are good too but can be a bit on the dry side, so better to have those in fusion dishes like fries, nachos, or something with plenty of sauces. Their salsas are great - especially the yellow habanero. I like their yellow salsa a lot, but can't take too much heat so typically I mix 2 green:1 yellow for my plates from them. Prices are super reasonable. Portions are much more than you would expect. I'm seriously going to get fat eating here because everything is so good you want to finish it. This is what I've tried so far: Shrimp Ceviche - made with whole shrimp that let you see how fresh they really are - you might consider cutting them before serving to make it more chip friendly. Carnitas Nachos - the portion is large enough for 3-4 people as a dinner. Loaded with perfectly cooked shredded carnitas. I am super picky about protein sources and there was not a single piece of fatty meat in there. Albondigas Soup - comes with all the fixings - a nice surprise. The hot red salsa is delicious if you like spicy. Guacamole - delicious and FRESH - I'd swear it was made when I ordered it. Although I will say their chips are nothing special. Carnitas Wet Burrito - huge and nice presentation considering it's take out. Now let me explain a little about their location. It is located at 1388 Daisy Ave. There is no store front. You get to choose your protein (there are a LOT of options - we got the asada) and then corn or flour tortillas (we went with corn to get that "street taco" feel) and with that you get all the sides (beans/rice) and fixin's for a solid 4-5 people - since it was just the BF and I, we got to enjoy this delicious treat 2 times off the same order. My husband and I tried this place for the first time a few days ago. This place will definitely hit the taco craving spot. My husband and I got the 1/2 pound of asada to share, while he got asada fries and I tried a chorizo mulita. Everything was yummy but I have two things that made me take a star off 1) you pay $1.00 extra for a tiny salsa. (Maybe throw in 2 for that....just a suggestion) and 2) although the asada was good, it could have had a little more flavor. I will say the salsas are sooo good. Seriously some of the best I have had. The habenero was my favorite and my husband liked the spicy red. The green was good too but we like some spice. I am very picky about my al pastor (only like it at one other spot) and this is probably my favorite. My husband and I liked the tinga tostada but we probably wont order it again because its not as big as we hoped. The ceviche was very good...it almost had a Mexican shrimp cocktail feel. Very refreshing. Cant wait to update when we try the other meats. One thing my hubby does miss is having spicy carrots, radishes and cucumber to munch on. I work at a nearby hospital and make late night orders for my department every so often. I've made orders from other taco spots in the area, but my new favorite has got to be this spot. The meat isn't dry, but also not too oily, and I really like that we can order meat by the pound so it makes it easier to order for larger parties. I had an issue with ordering through a third party delivery app, but once I contacted the restaurant, I was met with such good customer support.
