Did everything exactly as promised and with great care. Reasonably priced, too. I would definitely use again.

Enkhe and Andrew were great! They took care with my furnishings, wrapping them carefully and working efficiently. And they were both very personable which made the move process even better. Definitely recommend! read more

We had Rush, Alex, and Vladimir and they did amazing. They worked hard in the heat and were incredibly kind and easy to work with. They finished way ahead of schedule. Would 100% recommend them. They didn't put any plastic down to not track dirt in nor was their truck big enough for our second stop, however I don't believe this was because of the people that came to do the work but rather something misunderstood at the office. But they were incredibly kind and hard working. read more

Global Moving Systems - good guys - Movers Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

I had a very small move and wanted to work with a company that was local and knew the area well. I found Global through Yelp and definitely had to use them with all the great reviews! Communication was well done. The estimate sheet stated everything that I needed to know (including any rate increases). I packed all my boxes since I was only moving into a small 1-BR apartment. Email reminders of my move were helpful and if I had any questions, their replies were quick. My whole move was quick and easy. My only complaint was they arrived at the starting point about a half hour earlier than expected. It rushed me a bit since I was eating breakfast at the time and I had to quickly eat and change before their arrival. Other than that, it was one of the most easiest moves I've ever had. Thank you! read more

Highest of recommendations for the Global Moving team! For over a year, they supported our needs as we utilized their services in helping prepare a home for sale by storing extraneous items and then providing great service for move in on a new home purchase. They were very quick to respond to any questions and all the move teams were friendly and professional to work with (and special call out to Rush for going above and beyond). I would absolutely work with them again and recommend them to anyone needing a quality moving team. read more

Hired global movers to help us move from arlington to fair lakes. Rush and Alfred were the two movers that helped us out. These guys were rockstars! They were professional, quick, and efficient. Both rush and Alfred were friendly and followed all covid protocols and gave my gf and I peace of mind with the move. Def 5/5 service and recommend global and both rush and Alfred to help with any move! They also help pack things for you as well so if you have fragile items, ie. Tv, glass tables, be sure to let them know and they will take very good care of transporting it safely! Highly recommend them! Great job global! read more

I'm very disappointed to write this since a couple years ago we used Global and had a good move. But we used them again this year for our move from Chicago to Charlotte and it was a horrible experience. I highly urge you not to use them as a moving company. The dates worked out where Eugene had a team in the midwest, so he took on our move and offered to do it at the same rate as we paid 2 years ago, which was great. About a week before the move he called to ask if we could move 5 days earlier, that it was better for him, and we made it work. The movers were supposed to arrive from 8-10AM. They didn't arrive until 4:30-5PM. The truck, and the t-shirts the men wore, said "Green Line Moving." Originally, I thought we still had members from Global doing this move, and Eugene led us to believe that, but this was the team we got. The packing was slow and took hours, far too long. Our apartment wasn't empty until 2AM, which was unacceptable. Our building staff was pissed about the noise and how long the elevator was locked. The packing was sloppy and items were thrown into boxes without wrapping or any professional effort. We were supposed to meet the truck at our new apartment at noon 2 days later. They arrived around 5:30PM. The unload took a long time (despite a 3rd guy helping at one point) and was done once again very sloppily. A single man brought in our very large dresser by himself, with dolly wheels on our new carpet, and almost smashed it into the wall while trying to get it off the dolly alone. They didn't empty our clothes out of our dresser drawers, and moved it full. We had a cabinet in our living room with 2 drawers full of fragile barware, which was also packed without emptying the drawers. One of the movers carried it in upside down, the drawers fell out, and all the contents smashed all over the floor. Nothing during the pack was organized or labeled. We couldn't find any important electronics cords and the movers had no idea where they were. As we unpacked over the following week, we found boxes where items were just thrown in. A glass jar was thrown into a box upside down, with the contents spilled. My KitchenAid mixer, which was a wedding gift, was put at the very bottom of a kitchen box, sideways, not wrapped, next to metal objects. One of the levers broke off and can't be replaced. This is a $500 mixer and was treated like it was worthless. Our mattress was bent throughout the move instead of being kept straight. When it was put on our bed, the top was uneven and warped. The movers made no effort to clean up after themselves. They left trash all over our old and new apartment buildings. The reason we hire movers is because our home is important to us and we want professionals doing this job. That was hardly the case here. All packing, disassembly, and assembly of furniture was supposed to be included but my husband had to keep jumping in and doing some of this himself because of how far behind the move was running. We came to an agreement with Eugene for about a 15% discount for the fact that everything ran so late and was done so poorly. As we found more damage and issues as we unpacked (due to the movers' negligence, not typical move wear and tear) we reached back out with our concerns, and asked for another $350 to cover just SOME of the repair and damage costs. He responded saying this was fair, and that he'd write me a check, but ONLY if I signed a form saying I wouldn't review him on Yelp. That is completely shady and unacceptable. It's also not how Yelp is meant to work, paying off customers to keep reviews offline. When I said I'd sign an updated form without the mention of Yelp, he responded with a nasty email saying that he changed his mind, now he wants the 15% discount he gave us paid, and if we don't pay it, he'll send us to collections. He doctored the contract my husband signed with the total amount, ABOVE his signature, to make it look like my husband signed off on paying that extra 15%. This is completely and totally unprofessional. Who does that? Someone you shouldn't work with, that's who. Eugene insisted he did us a FAVOR by doing this move. Apparently the move that got them to the midwest cancelled, so they could have cancelled on us. Frankly, he should have told us the situation up front instead so that we could have been the ones to decide to find new movers or work with this team. He also kept saying how he was losing money on this move. Ok? You are a business owner and your choices led to this situation. I'm sorry if you lost money but we lost time and important belongings in this scenario, too. Sometimes as a business owner, that happens. We shouldn't have paid a cent with the way this whole move was handled. I'm sure they will respond to this review with all of their points about how somehow they're not in the wrong. But all of this is true, it's what happened, and it's on them as the business. read more

Naagi and his crew were fantastic! We moved from the DC Metro area to Pittsburgh, PA. I moved March 30th from NYC to Bethesda, MD with two babies from a three bedroom apartment that was full of belongings. These guys were amazing. I got an all inclusive quote - there were no hidden fees, no drama. The move went very well - nothing was damaged and the guys were very quick. The apartment was completely empty in about three hours. During this time they moved all boxes, suitcases, and furniture to their truck. Dissembling of some furniture was needed as well (and they helped our reassemble it at the new place). Honestly, I was a little worried to only have two guys moving everything we had but everything went incredibly smooth. I will definitely use them for our next move. Totally recommend them! read more

I worked with GMS last year and everything was well communicated, the move was swift and perfectly executed, and I'm now going to utilize them again for my next move. Highly recommended! read more

I'm glad I moved with GMS. I compared nearly 20 companies and really explored about 5 before deciding on GMS. Yuri was upfront and transparent. Expectations and pricing were clear. Crew was efficient and professional. We did a local move but we had ~12,000 pounds of stuff so it wasn't an easy one. Three guys took care of it over two days, but they hustled...it was clear they wanted to finish the job so I and they could move on to the next thing. I paid less than the estimate. Rush, Alfred and Andrew were all congenial, efficient, professional and strong. If I have to move again I will call them. They listen to customers and will do what it takes to make things right. read more

After getting numerous quotes, I decided to go with Global. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but some of the cheap quotes had some red flags that just put me off. After messaging Stefan a bunch of times, his demeanor just stood out to me. I got a sense of trust and professionalism that just sat right with me. I called him on the phone to give him our 10% deposit (to reserve the movers) and my hunch was right. He's a very personable and professional guy - very easy to deal with and articulate. Before the move: Questions were answered in a timely manner. During the move: Three young Georgian guys showed up and they could not have been more professional. They showed up in a Budget Rent-A-Truck which was kind of odd. I expected it to be a truck with their logo on it - like in the pictures on Yelp. They moved the entire contents of our 2 bedroom apartment in disgusting Summer heat and humidity. We gave them plenty of water, fruit, etc. They actually showed up earlier than planned. And while I understand why - due to the heat - we had the freight elevator reserved at a specific time. I have to say that it stressed us out. So the guys went to breakfast and came back at 9am. The house (we're moving into) has mostly hardwood floors and the guys put felt pads on all of the furniture before placing them onto the floor. They also furnished a large plastic envelope for our king size mattress. They used tape to make diagonal handles so that carrying the mattress was easier. Cool trick. One thing that irritated me was the fact the office never told the movers that we had an upright piano. They were surprised when they arrived and didn't really have all the proper equipment to do the job efficiently. So they hoofed the heavy piano up two flights of stairs by hand. After the move: Nothing was broken, lost or damaged. Truth be told, they decided not to move two glass items for fear of breaking, even though I suggested wrapping them in furniture blankets and tape. The day took about eight hours - for three guys and a truck, it cost me $1125.00. To be clear, I rate the three guys a solid five stars but the company 3.5 stars for poor communication. read more

Had an issue with final price being higher than initial quote, and Eugene (owner) called me the next day to honor the initial quote. Very appreciative that he listened and took time to resolve the issue! *Note that customer service is very good and would be great if Global could lower the 6% fee to use credit card and the arrival time window (3 hours). read more

I had a very positive experience working with Global Moving Systems. We had a long distance move from NYC to Arlington VA ! The movers we had that day were fantastic! I am so happy I hired Global Moving Systems for my cross-country move. The 3 men who packed my fragile belongings and furniture took their time, and did it right. I felt confident everything would arrive in the best condition possible. My desk has a glass table top, and I also have mirrors; I'm so relieved to have them back in perfect condition. The men who packed my belongings seemed far more experienced and capable than any other movers I've dealt with. They were also very kind, respectful and took their jobs seriously. Each one seemed to know exactly what he needed to do, and they worked seamlessly as a team. It's the first time I've seen movers who were not in a rush... as though they were packing their own belongings. The man who unloaded the truck on the other side of the country was also very experienced, knew exactly what he was doing, and reassembled my furniture properly, after treating my belongings with respect. This is exactly why I hired Global Moving Systems, after reading the reviews. I deducted one star for poor communication from the office (once the truck was loaded); however, I was given a sizable discount after complaining about it, which makes me a very happy customer. I will definitely use/recommend them in the future. Much appreciation to everyone, for a job well done. read more

I see why Global Moving received all the great reviews! I used them on three separate occasions and they did not disappoint on any level. I love that whenever I called not only was my calls answered but they were able to solve my issue immediately. Their professionalism and outstanding customer service was so appreciated during the stressful time of moving. Each team member I encountered was extremely polite, extra careful and worked effectively. We experienced bad weather and Global Moving came to the rescue by offering me a workable alternative. I moved one month ago and just getting around to filling out this review of Global Moving System. My wife and I always do our research when making a large purchase decision. This was no different. We reached out to five moving vendors before making our selection. All saying what you expected them to say and some overly persistent reaching out to me before making my selection. Global Moving System was the only one that took the time to send someone to my house to give a first-hand evaluation of our move which was very professional in my opinion vs Zoom call or basing the job on the square footage of our house. They came off as very professional. Had a good track record and a lower price than the rest. So we selected them for our move. They kept in touch with me throughout the process. The day of the move they were punctual and came ready to work. They worked throughout the day only stopping briefly for lunch on a 12-hour day and at our house, They worked like a fine-oiled machine. Them knowing what each person's responsibilities were. Never slowing down and Staying on point. They left our house late that night with about a van's worth of items not fitting on either truck. Only to then have to drive the two trucks out of state the next day to unload the morning the next day. They stayed positive and cheerful the whole day, The office manager managed to make some magical adjustments to other scheduled trucks to pick up the balance of our load and deliver seamlessly for us as well as the other jobs schedule. The owner also worked very had to find someone who would professionally reassemble our pool table after our move and called me personally to speak with me and share the arrangement he made. This is the 7 move I have been involved in 5 out of state moves, work-related, and can honestly say they were the best I have worked with. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service, price, and professionalism at every level. I would highly recommend them and will make sure to share my experience with as many as I can. Thanks again Global Moving Systems for helping minimize the stress of our move. read more

Moving is stressful and moving companies are risky but this one was a disaster. GMS gave us a 3 day window for the pickup of our possessions to be moved cross country. The week before Yuriy, the sales manager, called to ask if we could move the date ahead as they had an opening. We explained that we were not packed and were working towards our agreed 3 day window. There was no communication after our possessions were in their hands. After numerous messages, I finally was informed that our possessions were in storage and would not be available until possibly 24 days after pickup. I was told the delay was due to the fact I did not agree to an earlier pickup. My sectional was dismantled without my knowledge and not reassembled. The damage is too long to list. This is a warning to look further for a reliable moving company. read more

We used Global on a Thursday and my daughter used them the following Saturday. In both instances, the service was EXCELLENT. I used Global Moving Systems to move out of my house and into storage, as my lease was up and I'm quarantined out of state. I was anxious about having to facilitate them packing and moving my things without my being there, but overall, the company was very responsive leading up to my move, answered my questions ahead of time, and performed the move within the estimated number of hours. The reason for only three stars was the timing of the movers arrival and the lack of communication on move day. The movers were supposed to arrive between 1-4, and call me ahead of time so I could walk through what needed to be done with them. I moved meetings around at work, facilitated street parking, and friends to meet the movers assuming this window, and then heard nothing. Ultimately, after I called, I was told their earlier move had gone long--but they didn't arrive until 5:30pm and I had to keep calling the main line to get the movers status. There was no automatic updating on their part and it unfortunately made it stressful. I would recommend the crew, they were excellent and even FaceTimed me to make sure they had everything, but overall, the move day experience from the main management wasn't handled professionally. read more

YESSSSSUH! They really like to move itttt! My dad needed help moving so of course I search for moving companies on Yelp. Global Moving Systems has high reviews; so, I contacted them on a Friday night. I received a response and quote early the next morning. They were ready to schedule for the SAME day which was Saturday, or the next day, Sunday -- like woahh, you guys are fast! Like dang, you guys are ready to move like my dad (ha, pun intended). I was the one who wasn't all ready for that... so, I ended up scheduling for the following weekend. Anyways, I'm blown away with this moving company. The customer service is truly amazing. The movers are so polite and hardworking. They are all about helping you and getting the job done correctly. They really take care of you and your belongings. The next business day, they even called to follow up with me and the moving experience. Like again, I admire amazing customer service. Moving is stressful but Global Moving Systems took all the burdens from my hands (literally and figuratively, ha! Okay I'll stop now.) If I could give 0 stars I would. Booking was easy but unenthused. I felt like I was selling myself when I first called in and not the other way around. I should have taken this as a red flag, but I figured it was end of day and everyone has off days. The price was in the middle range of the quotes I'd received so I booked the move. Day of my move the movers were late. They were scheduled to arrive between 9 and 10am, I called dispatch at 9:55 and was told they were in traffic. My crew didn't show up until 10:30/10:45 which makes me think they had just left when I called or someone severely slept in. Either way, they should have called ME not the other way around. My move was a long distance move to California and there was absolutely no coordination in regards to when my items would arrive. The form you fill out tells you to call to arrange delivery and I called multiple times. Finally I was given the phone number of my truck driver and I was told to call him. Thanks for coordinating GMS - that's what I pay YOU for. After a week I called the driver. I still had hopes someone would contact me but nope. Driver said he'd be there "after Wednesday." Twenty minutes later he calls back and says he'll be there ON Wednesday. Movers arrive on time on the delivery day and scam me out of $300. I live on the 2nd floor but because there was a landing halfway up the stairs, they charged me $75 for an extra flight of stairs. Then, since they have to park behind my building and not in front of me they charged me a "long carry fee" of $225. I'm not even sure how the walk they did equates to a long carry... the hallway that leads to my stairs connects to BOTH sides of the stairs so they maybe walked 30 extra feet than if they'd been able to pull up "front." And again, front and back is irrelevant since the breezeway connects to both sides. This extra $300 was NOT written on my final invoice and was demanded in cash. If I did not pay, they said they would unload my goods on the sidewalk and I could have friends over to carry it up. Yes, they said that. To a 100lb female who moved from DC to CA. They knew damn well I don't have friends to carry my large furniture and they knew I was expected at work at 1pm that day so leaving my stuff outside was not an option. That's ridiculous to even suggest that. It takes them 3hrs and multiple smoke breaks to unload the truck. A piece of my bed was "lost" so they couldn't assemble my bed and my entertainment center was damaged. The crew was of no help. I called the moving company and told them that the support beams and screws were probably in the truck. I had watched my pickup crew tape the screws to the beams and based off the inventory sheet, I knew they were loaded on the truck. GMS said they'd call me back after connecting with the driver and surprise! they never did. They'd also said I could send them a bill for having to fix my entertainment center and buy replacement pieces for the bed but since nobody was calling me back at any point in this process and I'd already been scammed out of $300 I have 0 faith in being reimbursed for anything. Use at your own risk. I'll be posting a review to angie's list as well. The 5 star rating for this company is 100% unwarranted. Only positive is Stefan is really nice but sadly useless. He started to recognize my voice whenever I called but sadly didn't have the proper authority to help. read more

Not a good experience... Numerous large items were not moved/left behind by the crewmove such as: 1. Numerous large boxes (more than two) 2. Wooden dining room table 3. Tower fan  4. Ironing board  5. Book shelves (the crew moved the bookcase but not the shelves.. confusing) All of these items were place on my inventory list as requested before the move. I believe that your company is responsible for completing the job that your crew was paid for but did not complete. I already had to deal with the crew trying to get paid for an unscheduled stop to a gas station(with my belongings in the truck 40 minutes- I followed them and took pictures). This was a local move, 10 minute drive time at maximum. I should not have to manage this process to the degree that I had to. I am very unhappy; especially when I gave the crew a sizable tip. I request that a manager from your company call me to make this right. UPDATE - 5-16-2019 Company owner did contact me to make things right. He was unhappy because I, as his customer, was unhappy. Kudos to the owner, Eugene, for holding his crew accountable and for putting his customer's satisfaction first. -NP read more
