We were extremely impressed with the team that supported our move this past weekend. Howard and his crew were professional, hardworking, and incredibly skilled at maximizing space. They strategically packed an impressive amount of furniture into a 26-foot truck, and it was clear they took great pride in their work. Our primary frustration was that the move ultimately required two trips, despite us being very clear in advance about the volume of furniture that needed to be transported. For larger moves, the company should consider investing in larger trucks. They were very specific when it came to to finer items and how they were packed and transported which I really appreciated since I had a number of finer pieces of artwork. nothing was damaged or broken and they were great at communication. I initially considered doing the move with 3 friends but opted not due to timing constraints. I chose RADA based on the high ratings and the lowest price. They sent two guys and a big truck who showed up on time, and these guys HUSTLED. From packing up the house to unloading at the new house, they were super efficient, wrapping furniture, and packing the truck tight. They did a good job. Was on time. And moved in a reasonable amount of time. I had a very heavy treadmill and a three level home but they were able to get it all done. Another thing I like was they were pretty straight forward with their pricing. Some movers jack on a bunch of fees at the end but they didn't and I really appreciate that. read more

Not very happy with the hire. The movers were nice and hardworking but the large van did not have a loading ramp and the floor of the truck was at least 3 feet above the ground, maybe more. I felt bad for the movers, esp because they were not tall at all. They had to struggle a lot with a couple of the items such as a wooden dresser they were expected to haul on to the truck without a ramp. They also took a lot longer than I expected. The biggest minus was the manager/owner was unnecessarily rude when I was confused about the final amount. Very condescending and quick to anger. Did not bother to explain my confusion at all, just got angry. Appreciated the hardwork of the movers but I will not use the company again because of the manager/owner. read more

Bro what the heck is wrong with this company? It's like night and day. I had a great experience with them back in June of this year when they moved all my belongings with insanely good service and friendly movers. But fast forward to October, same year, and I get the two worst movers ever. No calls or texts, they come late, demand I pay extra for the same items I had moved previously (I had no extra fees for previous move) and I get this vibe that I'm getting hustled for my money. Apparently contacting the owner and they bring back a screenshot circling what was said in their policy when I had understood that already but didn't apply to my previous move. Hired RADA on a short notice to move a few items from Arlington Rockville and then a few items within the same building. They were able to accommodate. Crew was prompt and hardworking. Everything came wrapped. Only criticism is that RADA needs to provide team with a drill to help re assemble an item. I ended up having to pay $50 more than expected for time that elapsed and ultimately decided not get the item assembled as it would've taken all afternoon with just a screw driver when I needed other items moved. read more

We have used RADA three times already, they are that amazing. Seriously, these guys are so professional, take great care of your items, and are just all around great value. We called in to get a quote and the receptionist was great in helping to answer any questions and/or just provided excellent service. When moving day came, we thought we had everything BUT we realized we totally forgot some BIG furniture pieces. The guys were exceptional in being prepared with extra wrap to expertly wrap the sofa, side tables, and dining room tables! We moved from a condo and storage unit into a townhouse and they did it with such ease. I am still in awe of how they were able to carry a heavy ass king bed frame up 3 flights of stairs without breaking a sweat! These guys are top notch. They helped my son moved yesterday from a third floor to a fourth floor apartment within the same complex. The initial communication was pretty clear and responsive. They charged a minimum of 3 hours for 2 movers including one hour of travel time even though it didn't take that much time for them to get there, which was ok because it was communicated beforehand, and it is a standard practice among all movers nowadays. They arrived a few minutes later than the schedule time which was fine because they had let my son know. They didn't move very efficiently especially at the beginning. Took a couple of bags or a box or a couple of chairs at a time. Which was still ok. What upset my husband and I was after they moved everything into their truck and got to the new location, the guy in charge told my husband that we needed to pay $100 more for them to move up to the forth floor. They would not move if we didn't agree. Tell me how would you feel about THAT? They knew ahead of time when they gave me the quote, and when they agreed to move. Is this how they asked for tips? I would have given them tips because of the number of steps. In the end, we were charged 3.5 hours (half hour more than my initial estimate) plus $70. Also be aware, they charged 5% more for credit card which I don't believe it was communicated ahead of time. The 3 stars are for what they have communicated ahead of time and they eventually have completed the job. I could have given them fewer. read more

Another 5 Stars for RADA Express Movers. I compared a lot of movers on Yelp, but ended up going with RADA because of their near-perfect rating. They deserve this high rating. I had a great experience with Howard, Dustin and Max. They moved all my furniture and decor (so. much. stuff.) from my condo in Maryland to a large, third-floor elevator storage unit in Virginia. They adapted to the particular physical and logistical requirements of each location, and were very efficient. The initial contact, the quote and the scheduling were all clear and simple. They called ahead with their exact ETA, and got to work as soon as they arrived. They worked hard and kept the process moving from start to finish. They took great care of my stuff and clearly knew what they were doing, but were also open to my requests for how to load some of the things that were particularly fragile and/or sentimental. That put me at ease, and everything flowed well from there. The sign-off and payment process at the end was also clear and simple. After my move, they headed to a whole-house move in a very affluent area, so they handle all types of moves. I highly recommend them, and will use them again. Tom read more

5 stars - great experience, would hire again. I read through all the movers reviews in the area - here's a tip: don't look at the 5-star reviews. Look at all the 1/2/3-star reviews, and see what's the worst thing customers have to say about the company. I did this, and almost all the other movers had issues with breaking things, not being careful (sometimes), and overall lack of customer service when there are problems. Of course everyone gets a 5 star review when things go well, but you want to work with a company that won't screw you over when things aren't going as planned. These guys were on time, 100% professional, and did a good job moving all my stuff with a positive and professional attitude. They were also very, very careful with all the furniture - I had never seen any crew set things down so gently before. That said, we were paranoid about damages to our new house, so we did micromanage a bit, by staying present, onsite, directing traffic of boxes/etc, and did not let them go unsupervised. These guys are pros and probably would have done great without us there, but whoever you hire, if you care about your stuff, you should do the same - don't go run off and do other errands while strangers pack up your $50,000 china collection, come back after it's done, and cry on yelp when your stuff is broken/missing/etc. read more

I used Rada Express Movers to move from 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom. The 2 men from the company were super fast and strong and were able to move all my items in 3 hours. They even picked up my couch from the store which I was grateful for at no additional charge. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because my night stand had a Scratch on it that wasn't there prior to the move, thus I think the movers should be more careful. We realized Ray is the owner so we're good there. :) We did notice dirt on our sofa cushion after the move but Ray took our cushion and got it cleaned the same day (thank you, Ray). There were a lot of movers to choose from, but I am glad I went with RADA. First, they were very fast at responding to my initial quote request, their prices were great, and they didn't have any hidden fees that some other movers tack on. I also had to move out my date twice due to my home not being ready, and they were great to work with and super flexible. When the movers arrived, they had masks on and kept them on the entire them. The three men that came were very professional and fast. They left my old place and my new place with no scuffs on the walls and nothing damaged. Completely forgot to write this review. Hands down the greatest moving company I've ever had to work with. They were extremely professional, made sure to be extremely careful, & worked diligently. I had a short distance move from Arlington to Alexandria and it was quick and smooth. The day of move out, they called when they were about thirty minutes out and came exactly at the time they said they would. The got my furniture and boxes out in no time and made sure to wrap all furniture so that it doesnt damage or dirty the furniture in transit. I also had a couple of EXTREMELY heavy boxes and they picked it up like nothing. They also took NO breaks and didn't even waste a second. Because I'm a little OCD, I put on the top of the boxes where everything was going and without even asking, they put all the boxes & furniture in the right locations (helped TONS when unpacking btw). They made sure to take all the wrap from the sofas and furniture as well so I didnt have to throw them away on my own. During the move, we had a little issue with the elevator I reserved. A couple contractors used the elevators that we reserved for the day and kept saying they could use it (they cannot because the floors locked onto the level I was moving to) and kept unlocking to a different floor so someone would have to get the elevator by going around nonstop. I forgot the names of the gentlemen that helped me move but they stood up for me to make sure I wasn't wasting money waiting for the elevator that we reserved. The contractor was being extremely rude and the gentlemen helping me move made sure that he was not talking to a woman like that and put him in his place. They went above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect and neat and I would recommend them to ANYONE in the DMV area. read more

They showed up on time, wore masks the entire time, took great care not to damage anything and the most astonishing part... those guys hustled like I have never seen any moving company do before. I used them because my mother, daughter and myself are moving from one townhouse to another about a mile away and RADA took exactly 4 hours from start to finish. That is incredible for movers if you didn't know. I moved from an apartment to the townhouse I just moved out of and it took those movers (unfortunately I can't remember their name) almost double the time and the price.
