Great company, who moved me same day between states. Very flexible, friendly and professional. Will use them again!

It had been a very long time since I last moved and the last company was all booked up on the date I was looking for assistance. So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism! read more

Worked with Potomac for my recent move within Hyattsville MD. The support team was helpful in providing an estimate and confirming date/arrival window for the moving team. Our movers - Eddie and Eduardo were on time, professional, and incredibly efficient. They had us packed us and moving into our new apartment within 4 hours. Price was within the range of the estimate and worth it for the time and service. Will definitely work with Potomac moving company again in the future. Highly recommend their services. Thanks again Eddie and Eduardo. Truly appreciate your help read more

PMC was invaluable for my move from one Arlington neighborhood to another. They worked hard, were professional and took good care of our belongings. Roberto was our crew lead and he was a great communicator and team leader. I was so comforted by their approach and impressed by their focus. I would recommend them without hesitation and will gladly call them on future moves. Andy M. Arlington, VA read more

extremely pushy company. they continued to spam me with text messages on my phone and messages on Yelp, phone calls, voicemails, emails, too many in less than a day time frame. In the beginning, I tried to respond but I got so overwhelmed with the amount and frequency while I was at work, that I just wanted them to stop so I decided to not go with them. they kept following up with me on the same thing over and over and pushing me to book with them. I have moved in different locations, gotten quotes and used other moving companies and never have I had this experience anywhere else. read more

Service was good for packing but extremely expensive. Beware. I just used them for packing. I couldn't afford the moving services.

Luis and Hector arrived on time and worked incredibly fast. We had a very tight move-out window from our building and they understood and worked hard to meet the deadline. They were professional and polite, and extremely careful with our belongings. Would absolutely hire them again. read more

They did a great job and were in and out in no time. They are pretty pricey, but the fact they mkved me out of my condo in the DMV, drove 100 plus miles and unloaded me in 5 hours says ALOT! read more

We were so lucky being able to secure a move with Potomac Moving Company. We had a family emergency and only had 2 weeks to move! Julie did a great job coordinating the move. She made sure all my questions were answered and was available during the move for assistance. The star of the show was Roberto! He managed the move efficiently and with attention to time so we weren't overspending. He made sure the team moved our items with care. Upon arrival, he verified the placement of the furniture and ensured all items were efficiently reassembled. He even tested the tv's before they left. We were absolutely exhausted at the end of the day, but Potomac Moving Company made a difficult task so much easier. Thank you all! read more

I literally hate moving, so hired them to pack up my house and move it into my storage container. They were quick to respond to my booking request, scheduled me immediately, reviewed my inventory, made changes last minute to accommodate my requests, made sure I had the right team and were transparent about pricing. They provide moving materials too which I really needed. Three gentlemen came to help me and they were polite, organized, smart, and strong. I had a lot of old furniture which was extremely heavy, two fridges which were also heavy, and they tackled everything. I mean, it was magical. They took care to make sure they didn't damage the house or my items as they packed and moved, and they got done on time - there was no down time. They were always on the move. They even cleaned up after themselves. Finally, what pushed me to love this company and the three gentlemen who came was that they also helped move some furniture back to my moms house - when they entered her home, they took off their shoes out of respect. I couldn't believe it. Such kind and considerate people. They were so helpful every step of the way, checking in on me, and making sure everything was done how I needed it to be done. You can tell this company hires a quality team - both administratively, and moving team - and they all work well together. I would 100% recommend them and will use them again myself in the future (though I hope I'm done with moving around!). Needless to say, worth every penny. Thank you so much for your help and kindness today. read more

I called Potomac because I had to move the remaining contents of two storage rooms to another, more accessible place. I'm mobility impaired and cannot stand for a long time, and the workers were very solicitous about moving my folding chair. They were on time (I was a trifle late) and they went about the moves very efficiently using both the equipment that they had brought and the equipment at the storage place for greater speed. Everything was accomplished quickly, I saw no signs of damage, and t was all done in less than four hours. I am very happy with the service that I got, and I gave them both tips. read more

The Potomac team was excellent and highly professional from start to finish. I strongly recommend them. They gave me a detailed estimate up front, were responsive with follow up questions and had a easy booking process. The team (3 movers) were equally professional. They showed up on time and dove right in immediately to start the job. I never saw them take a break or slacken their pace over a full 7 hours of move out / in. Roberto and his crew were fantastic throughout, everything was wrapped, protected, and moved with care. This is grueling work so i appreciate that even at the and of the day they took care of the details and made sure the job was done. Much appreciated. read more

Submitted a request for a quote via Yelp, In addition to filling out a form, they also asked to fill out a separate form on their website with the same exact information + phone number. Was extremely hesitant to submit this as im not sure why so much private info is necessary to get a free quote. On the forms, I had submitted three potential dates for the move date. Got an email response from them that they dont have availability on one day but then they didnt give any info on the other two days. They also didnt provide any pricing details which wasnt helpful. I responded instantly about the other dates and they just disappeared. Since I did not hear back, I went back to the initial Yelp chat to ask about the dates and pricing (for the third time). Got no response there either. What a complete waste of time. TLDR: Submitted two forms and inquiries on two separate platforms and all I got was a lazy response. Still have no clue what their pricing or availability is. read more

I had Potomac pack and move me and they were phenomenal. I've never had a moving company pack and move me with such care. Fernando was my crew chief on both days and you should definitely request him because he was so thorough and thoughtful. He even made sure my furniture was placed in the exact spot I wanted it. The entire crew on both days was great. I highly recommend! read more

I'm having trouble finding the right words to describe our experience with Potomac Moving Company, but "amazing" and "game changers" come to mind. This was an interstate move (DC to PA) in less-than-ideal conditions (we had to move an adult family member out of the apartment). The crew, Roberto and Harry, were empathetic, caring, and incredibly efficient with packing, loading, and unloading the one-bedroom apartment. I spent the day worrying (needlessly) that the storage unit I had rented was too small. The crew fit all of the items neatly and safely into a 5x10' unit with room to spare. I've never seen anything like it. I also want to give kudos to the front office. They were the first company to respond to my inquiry, answered all of my questions patiently, and kept us informed about when the crew was arriving. The value that we received for the price was off the charts. Put Potomac Moving Company at the top of your list. I would not hesitate to call them again for a move if the need arose. read more

Fast, careful and professional. Highly recommend these movers. Nothing seemed to phase them.

Jeff Kuznetsov and the whole team were fantastic! I'm located in Prince William VA and this is my second time using their company. If we ever move again, I will immediately call Jeff. I'd give six stars if I could! read more

Guys did a great job. Fast and efficient and helped me troubleshoot while they carefully maneuvered my property into a shipping pod. The were fast, professional, and had great communication. The movers were prompt and worked extremely fast. We had a slight hiccup when they finished at the first location and the movers left without me, but it all worked out. All of my belongings were kept in great condition and I was super impressed by how smooth the day went. read more

Terrific moving company! We moved 350 miles from the DC area to Charlotte, NC. The customer service reps were the best - Lisa and Julie were amazing setting up our move and giving us the best price available with any company. The moving crew moving us out in Virginia was the same crew that moved us into our new place in North Carolina. Good people, hard working, trustworthy. Highly recommended - all around great company. read more

The service I got was great. The movers were fast, careful and efficient. I couldn't have asked for more.

Three men showed up on time and worked very diligently to pack up many things in our kitchen, bathrooms, loft, and closets and did an excellent job in 2.5 hours. This was very helpful as we have been struggling with some serious health issues due to one adult having a compression fracture at this unfortunate time. I would recommend Potomac packing services for anyone struggling to pack things themselves. All employees were shirts identifying themselves as with the moving company were professional and efficient. read more

I don't move often but I have done 3 moves so far in my life. I've had so-so experiences until this time! Trust me when I say I did my research and comparison with 7 companies. I chose Potomac Movers and they were fantastic! From start to finish every step of the way they held my hand! They responded promptly to every question I had and boy did they deliver. Jeynar, Geraldo, and Jairo showed up on time, were very kind and professional and they worked hard climbing 3 flights of stairs plus 2 additional stairs in my apartment to move me out. They packed every piece of brand new furniture I had very well and I'm happy to report that absolutely nothing was damaged! Talk about a stress free move! They disassembled all my furniture and reassembled everything carefully and even put it exactly where I wanted it. This move, by far, was the best! Hats off to their attentiveness and superb customer service! If I ever do this again they're on my speed dial! You can trust these guys! Don't hesitate and give them a call! Fantastic cross-country move with Potomac! From Virginia to Massachusetts. Everything packed with incredible care, and the guys HUSTLED to move everything as quickly as possible. They also (miraculously!) fit everything onto one truck. Potomac was very helpful in providing options if a second truck was needed, but thankfully everything fit into one. I felt Potomac was really looking out for me and understood that there's a big price difference, and I was very happy to see them fit everything onto one truck. Stephanie was very helpful (and patient!) in answering my 500 questions during the scheduling process. Thanks, Potomac! read more

Sorry for the delayed review to those gentleman. Just been busy. We chose Potomac movers because they were the most transparent moving company out of all the companies we contacted. Their responses were quiet and detailed. Scheduling the movers easy. The movers were even 15 minutes early to the movie. The three gentleman were efficient and kind. Honest man who I would wholeheartedly trust with my belongings. They worked extremely hard and did a great job. In total spent about a 1150 but to me was a worth wild price. They were on time, and moved really quick. All the guys were very nice and professional. Will definitely use them again.

I am so grateful to have used Potomac Moving Company after reading so many positive reviews and wanted to share my own. I just moved on Aug 5th, and I was blown away by the entire service. Leading up to the move, Stephanie was super communicative and helpful with suggestions and estimations. Her quote was spot on, and updates were continuous in the days leading up to my move. Chris, and his 2 teammates, arrived at exactly the time agreed to. They very quickly pulled equipment they would need and followed me to my place. They listened intently to my requests for where items should go and made sure they validated its spot each time. They handled all of my belongings with the utmost of care. They were very respectful of my things. I ended up tipping them massively in cash because they earned it and probably more. I highly, highly recommend Potomac Moving Company! read more

This is the second time we've used them in six months. They were easy to schedule, on time, professional, careful, and great crews.
