The movers were phenomenal and service was top quality. The estimated cost was where it was supposed to be and the gentleman I did the virtual estimate with was very competitive in price. The guys arrived early for loading and unloading, they worked fast and handled everything with care. I would hire this company every single time for a move. We messed up on our end so a warning for other clients, move your funds over to the payment account ahead of time if you are moving on a weekend. The banks are not open on Sunday and we had a difficult time trying to pay as they do not take checks. Lesson learned. read more

I used these guys today for my move. Super easy move within Arlington, easy communication I had no issues there. They showed up about 15 min early and finished about 20 min earlier than expected. Also the quote I was given was accurate. I usually expect to be under quoted and also expect to spend like $200 more at least but not the case here, it was very accurate quote. EZ Moving & Storage provided us with an excellent moving experience! Moving is awful, no matter when or where. We were moving from a home of 33 years, and it wasn't easy. I requested an estimate. Petro gave me a flat rate based on the listing of our home in which he could see the rooms and furniture in them. He said he would send 2 trucks and 5 men on the morning we requested. I checked in with Petro a couple of times just to confirm a few things like damage coverage. On our move date, the 2 trucks and five strong guys arrived shortly after 9 AM. They looked through the house which we had packed up and said that all looked ready. Then they immediately proceeded to carry box after box after box, followed by pieces of furniture, each wrapped well in blankets and secured with tape. They worked nonstop for about 5 hours on a very hot day. Then they jumped in the trucks and drove them 3 hours to our destination and began the whole process in reverse. At our new home they patiently reassembled our bed and dining table and would have done more assembling of beds, but we couldn't bring ourselves to ask them. Between 10:30 PM - 11 PM they were ready to pull out and head back to Northern Virginia. To a man, they were respectful, hard working, friendly, and helpful. Within one day, I was feverishly working to secure a professional, reliable moving company to coordinate a move for my 77-year-old MOM. It was a major downsize (2,500 square feet to 1 bed / 1 bath) for her. Upon initial observation, many things to pack and move in 3 bedrooms, 1 office, multiple bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, "Art Creation Space" and a garage. Connected with Petro to secure two dates to pack move: Thursday and Monday. Not a good initial positive experience with the team crew lead on Day 1. After speaking to the manager, that crew person was immediately removed. Later that afternoon, I reconnected with Petro to know more about the crew for Monday. "Great Guys; there may be a language barrier." Once on site at 9:30 AM on Monday (Day 2), with 2 trunks, a focused, respectful, efficient, respectful team of 5 worked in tandem to complete various tasks with care and compassion. The team was from Ukraine, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Provided them lunch and they quickly went back to work. The team was amenable to random, unpredicted requests and handled them with humor, ease and confidence. A stop for the team to refuel and recharge. Surprised that the new location could not accommodate the initial load, the team had to pivot and go back to the storage unit before 10 PM to unload furniture and personal items. The late PM thunderstorms (30+ minutes) did not dampen the positive spirits of the team nor their commitment to finish. Surprisingly, they were consistently quiet and non-disruptive after 11 PM including assembling furniture when entering the new dwelling for the first time. Done and ready to go at 12:27 AM! Fantastic! Found this great company through Yelp. All of my communication with Petro was through Yelp or email and it was easy. Never needed to call the office and it was super easy to say up this move. I had some challenges with scheduling but they were personal challenges that I had to figure out and I told Petro that I might not be able to book until a week before and he said that it was fine and he could get me in. I ended up booking 3 weeks before. The guys who were sent, Alex and Igor were top notch. They communicated well, they messaged me when they left and we're on the way indicating they'd be there in 30 minutes or less. They arrived earlier than the scheduled arrival time and they got to work quickly. This wasn't a terribly complicated move with not a lot of furniture but they took apart the one piece that needed to be taken care of so that they could move it easily when they got to my new location. There was a lot of traffic in between the two locations and it took a lot longer but they got right to work at the location I was moving to and brought everything in quickly and set up the furniture again as it was when they left the initial place. They are both super nice, super efficient, and assisted with every little detail along the way. If you're looking for good movers, consider this company and you won't go wrong. Before they left my original home, they asked me to walk around and make sure that everything was taken and nothing was left behind. They did the same thing when they arrived at my new home and had me check and make sure everything was here and that the furniture was set up to my liking. I chose EZ Moving because Petro was the only person who was willing a) to visit my house so he could b) offer a flat rate. It was a local move (Annandale to Oakton), and because we were downsizing from a big house to a much smaller townhouse, we had two deliveries: one to the new TH and one to a storage facility. All of it went off without a hitch. His guys (five of them) showed up on time and with two trucks. I have a lot of fragile stuff (antique china cabinet; valuable artwork; numerous flat screen TVs), and they did an outstanding job of carefully wrapping each item. As far as I can tell, every single piece arrived intact (and without any damage to either my old house or my new one). Moving is stressful enough without adding the worry of whether your movers will show on time, and take care to do it right. EZ Moving is excellent and it's all about the owner, Petro. He is dependable and true to his word - involved in every aspect of the business and there every day as the first to arrive and the last to leave. We booked EZ Moving to do a complete cross-country move for a pretty large household, including packing, transport, and unloading. We got quotes from 4 other companies, a combination of larger national companies and smaller local ones. All the representatives were really nice, professional, seemed trustworthy, although Petro stood out from the start as very responsible and personable. The cost estimates were within a reasonable range and it was a tough choice. We went with EZ Moving because we wanted a local company that would load everything and transport it directly; the national companies seemed to sub-contract and switch to larger trucks and we didn't want to have our belongings loaded and unloaded so many times. We also needed our car transported. That helped narrow our decision to EZ Moving, who also provided one of the lower cost estimates. After we confirmed we wanted to book there was a little silence until we had a signed contract and that initially worried me, but Petro was just busy with a few back-to-back jobs and everything was confirmed with no issue. Petro started to check in more as we got closer to the move date. On packing day he and his friendly, polite team arrived on schedule and worked fast to get the house packed. Time got a bit tight during the second day as they finished packing and had to figure out how to load everything, but it all happened as promised. Later when unpacking we saw a few items were packed less carefully but overall the packing was excellent. Also, nothing was broken, damaged, or went missing. Petro personally drove cross-country in a stunningly quick three days and had some more cheerful, nice gentlemen ready to help him unpack at our destination. This company is horrible they broke out bed and then tried to over charged us and their employee are not competent, & very disrespectful.

Booked EZ Moving two days ago for a shared townhouse to studio move, and will be rating their service three stars for the following reasons: PROS 1. Hardworking movers: They worked quickly and were flexible with most requests/extensions to moving time. They also dissembled and assembled three pieces of furniture for me. 2. Free protective materials: Movers took the time to drape and wrap fragile furniture items. 3. Pricing: I do not know if this is true as I was simply told, but I had apparently received a discount. It was much appreciated if true. Additionally, they were not the cheapest quote I received, but were towards the lower end. I definitely booked them based on both price and reviews. CONS 1. Lack of communication between team members: The liaison requested that I reschedule my move earlier, which I agreed to. On moving day, movers arrived late because the liaison did not communicate the schedule change and I missed my elevator reservation. 2. Unresponsive liaison (Petro): I had to follow up multiple times for answers to my questions. I also did not receive a proper booking service document until hours before my move. No liability forms were provided as well. Not sure if this is common amongst moving companies. The liaison also stopped responding to me after confirming the schedule change. When I asked about the delay come moving day, I received no communication from the liaison and I assumed I had gotten scammed until one of the movers called an hour later. I found this pretty unprofessional on the liaison's part. 3. Mishandling of items: I instructed the movers to keep the boxes upright to keep items inside intact; however, I saw them turning the boxes on their side during the move. When unpacking my record player, I found the plate and cord dislodged due to this even though I had labeled the box fragile. My cabinet also had sides that came apart. It was the last furniture item to be moved, so it may have been due to the lack of time. Fortunately, this was easily remedied after they left. If you are thinking of booking EZ Moving be wary of my above experiences, especially when it comes to communication. Definitely book for more time as I had to extend for another hour, though this was first experience with booking a moving company and it may have been a first time error on my part. Be repeatedly clear about moving instructions as well. The movers are very nice. read more
