I have absolutely no complaints about my moving process. Here & Now movers is now a company I will refer to friends and family. I want to thank them from start to finish. Scheduling this company and receiving a quote that was SPOT on, was amazing. The communication from Ana was perfect. She kept me in the loop about arrival time, send out a confirmation about my booking, and even helped me change my original date to something sooner. Originally, I was quoted a timeframe between 1-5pm, they showed up an hour EARLIER! To some this may have been the part where you panic, especially if you are running small items back and forth to your new place, to me?? This was PERFECT, because I was able to have a headstart for my long moving day. The truck was large enough, both movers came in and were polite, patient, and did not make me feel uncomfortable when handling my items. They wrapped all dressers, tv stands, coffee tables, and TVs and ensured everything was delivered carefully. No frills, no stalling for extra time (you do get charged hourly if you exceed your allowed time), and just straight to business. Great experience from the beginning. Maya fielded the phone call for a 2br to a 1br to a storage multi-destination move. She was courteous and answered all suggestions. Her quote was more on the high end based on hourly and number of people to show up for the move, but it tends to be better to quote higher than to low-ball and have hidden fees. On moving day Sayid and his colleague showed up fifteen minutes early in the morning, which is almost unheard of in this business. Though on the quiet side, they moved very carefully but purposefully with move, and came up with great solutions with moving large furnitures around the doors without damaging them. Final amount came out about 20% estimated, but then again it is because we didn't need for everything to be moved as we were only doing a local move in the same same apartment complex, and the storage was just down the street from us. Results may be different otherwise. In any case, amongst the easiest move I've experienced thanks to these guys. Very well done team Here & Now! read more

Communication leading up to the move was great, Maya was very prompt and explained everything in advance. Received a text when our movers were on the way on the day of, and the team made quick work of loading up the truck with stuff from our apartment. They did a good job with the challenging stairs in our new place, although there were a couple instances where they wasted time trying to fit a piece through the door that clearly needed to be disassembled first. We had a team of three, and while two of the guys were very efficient, the third seemed less experienced and was just puttering around not doing much in the last few hours. I'll add that my family and I also helped with bringing boxes, lifting furniture etc to speed things along, so it was kind of frustrating to feel that they weren't being as efficient as they could be. Overall we were satisfied enough with our service from Here & Now Movers, but in the future we may try another company. read more

The guys were very professional. The only thing is that there was snow earlier in the week and the salt was on the outside front porch. They teacked salt and melted snow in the house. Later when the saw me sweeping and mopping they put down some kind of pad that helped with tracking that stuff inside. I have old wooden floors and want to preserve their beauty. All in all, they did a great job wrapping up my furniture and carrying it carefully. I would use them again and definitely recommend them. read more

TL;DR 5/5 Stars! Amazing service and highly recommend! (*tip, book a month in advance) I'm definitely mainly on Yelp to review restaurants but I had to review this moving experience! This was my first time 1) hiring movers and 2) using Yelp to find the right company. I cannot stress how helpful Yelp and Here & Now Movers were in making the moving process more seamless! I was given multiple quote estimates once I filled out details of my move, and Here & Now were the cheapest! They had a decent amount of reviews, and very positive ones, might I add! So I contacted Here & Now Movers, and got in touch with Maya. She was super helpful and responsive - we settled on a date and time quickly. The quote she gave was the exact one I was billed at the end of the move, which is a testament to their reliability and transparency of their pricing (they provided complete breakdowns of the costs - by hour, by mover, and other i.e. if you needed extra materials from the movers like cardboard boxes). Overall the experience was fantastic - the movers Alex and Vlad came right on time, and called when they arrived. Not only were they professional and hard workers (they had energy and never stopped for a break for the hour+) but they were super friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to! Alex and Vlad were constantly checking in, such as asking which items to move (I live with my roommate who had their own separate boxes/furniture in the common room) and if I wanted to pack this or that in the truck as well. They did the same unloading everything into the new apartment, asking where they should place things, etc. They were careful with my belongings - tying up larger furniture in the truck and all to make sure it wouldn't shift during the drive. These guys were AMAZING!! I requested a quote and Maya responded immediately with the info. Very responsive with every question/inquiry I had. Pricing was excellent and cheaper than other places I was checking. She kept in touch by providing emails on the upcoming move date. I received texts when movers were on the way. Once they arrive we reviewed the contract and I signed. The movers were well equipped and prepared to move my items. I only had a bedroom and some items I the garage. They were very efficient and true professionals. They took apart the bed, removed the mirror from dresser and they wrapped and secured ALL items. Took about an hour and we moved to the new place where they were more efficient in moving items by using a hand truck with a box to hold more items. They put the bed back together. Moved the items into my new place. This moved very quickly and they were done in about an hour. All in all it took them 2 hours. Worth every dollar - which was a reasonable rate. Besides: one downside of my last moving company: skeevy guys who began our meeting with gross sexual innuendo and overtures (which stopped immediately when they entered my home and saw my guy there, thankfully). Going with a woman-owned company gave me hope that the movers would be appropriate (or someone would care if they weren't). Several weeks, post-move, I'm still unpacking. I can say without a doubt that Here & Now Movers were everything I could've hoped for: professional, quiet, quick, and thoughtful. Nothing was a problem for my moving team o' three (led by Vlad); everything was possible. They arranged furniture (well!), put items together without a hitch or a scratch, and left no messes, anywhere. There's very little to enjoy about moving day, but? UPDATE: We moved on Oct 31. The day of the move there were three guys who were above and beyond nice, respectful, careful, and hard working. They always asked to make sure that what we wanted to go in the storage were correct boxes. They also properly wrapped the dining table. It's not the most expensive table, but it is a sturdy and expandable table that can fit 6 to 11 easy. Once everyting was loaded on the truck, that was it. We didn't have to go with them to the storage place. With a lot more things for us to worry about, putting the boxes in the storage place is one less major activity for us to think of; phew. If you are looking for movers, don't pass on this company. Also, not to preach, but please be considerate with any movers you decide to work with. Please make sure to offer cold drinks, snacks. Be patient and don't bite their head off if they keep asking you for guidance and more guidance; better they do it right. read more

Syed and Alex were AMAZING! Absolutely wonderful to work with. They were very careful with my items and took care not to bump into walls. I also had one particularly difficult but special piece that was a large, heavy shelf that I was so hoping to have in my living room up one flight of tight stairs. It took time (and I'm sure a lot of muscle and energy) but Syed and Alex kept at it and figured out the angles to get it all the way up. I set up my move with Maya about a month before my move date. From getting a quote to scheduling the move it was seamless. Having been left in the lurch by previous movers in the past I was a little anxious that they might forget my move since it was set up so far in advance. I reached out to Maya and was happy to know that they still had my date. The guys were scheduled to arrive at 9 so I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up a little early. They were efficient and wrapped my furniture with care. When we got to the destination, they asked where I wanted my furniture placed and put everything in it's place.
