YET AGAIN, another successful move with Elite movers! This makes our 3rd move using this company! The move was easy, quick, and professional and I'll tell you why. The speed of these employees is amazing. They loaded up heavy boxes, dressers, tv stands, beds, boxes of books without hesitation and with diligence. At no point did I think they were lallygagging! And they unload faster than they load. They had us in our new home within 1:15 min. They wrap up ALL furniture with materials that they bring. And pack the truck securely as well. I was NOT concerned about the security of my items one bit. And they worked well as a teams. Very professional and knowledgeable. The only constructive criticism I have is that our move was originally scheduled for 1 pm. Richard (owner) reached out and asked if they could come at 11:30 am WHICH WE WERE EXCITED ABOUT... so we made changes in our schedule so that we could be ready for them... but they didn't arrive until 12:30 pm. They responded immediately and were flexible with the dates and times I needed for a door to door move, moving me the same week of my request. I've been meaning to write this review for some time now! I searched for moving services around the Memorial Day holiday. Some places were booked as it was a popular weekend for moving. Not only was Elite Services available, but they had the most competitive pricing in the area. Richard was very friendly during our correspondence and I ended up choosing them in terms of availability, proximity, and price. Although I didn't have much furniture and was probably a small time customer for them, they treated the job as if it were as important as a bigger one. They arrived right on time and got straight to work. I was amazed at how fast they worked and I didn't have to lift a single finger. My boyfriend and I moved from an 800 sq ft. apartment in Ashburn (a 3rd floor apartment... so many stairs...) to a townhome in Centreville (again... MORE stairs... lots of them...) and the WHOLE move took them only THREE (3) hours!!! I don't know how they did it so fast. Honestly, I'm in shock! Selected Elite Movers after checking all the reviews and getting price quotes from multiple companies. Was a little hesitant because of the lack of confirmations but gave them a call the day before just to be sure everything was on schedule. Moving was schedule for 9:00 AM and I was surprised that they actually arrived on time and even called a little before to let me know. Hired 2 movers at a per hour basis, and dang they were fast. They had everything packed into the truck while I was still packing some last minute things. Most companies have people that work slow or take multiple breaks but we were all ready in less than 1.5 hours for a 800sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. They were also great at wrapping some of the furniture that could get scratched along the way and pointed out when something looked broken such as the feet on the dresser. Arrived at the new place, and they had their own roll-out mat to protect the floors while they moved stuff in. Everything went great as we had the boxes marked to which floor we wanted them placed. All in all, I am very satisfied with the service. Pricing was great and everything came in pristine condition. I am using them again to move some more furniture from a POD and plan to recommend to friends / family if they ask. read more

Very disappointed and misled from the reviews for this moving company. Our experience was the worst moving experience I've ever had. I moved with one roommate and my previous moves have included at least 3 people and took less than half the time. Before we got on the phone and complained to the owner Richard (who was understanding and helpful) it was taking the movers 3x as long to move anything. Richard came and helped us unpack at the next location and it was much much better. We discussed how upset we were when they finished. 2 guys arrived about 75 minutes late but went straight to work and didn't milk the clock. My only critique is that they need to move very slowly when passing furniture through doorways making absolutely sure no banging or rubbing occurs. They also need some experience when loading belongings into a storage facility so the owner can have reasonable access to items within it. My wife and I used Elite Movers yesterday to move us from our two bedroom apartment to our first home. Richard and his colleague who's name I think is Franky, did an excellent job with the entire move. They were polite and very professional. During both the loading and unloading, they took great care of our stuff while still moving quickly and efficiently. They taped up our couch and TVs. I thought the unloading phase would pose some problems since it was pouring out but that was not the case. Before unloading, they put down runners, which kept the floor dry. They moved quickly and took care not to bang up the walls. The rain was not a problem for this crew. They finished the whole move a little under 5 hours. I wanted to hire these guys based on their reviews. I am planning on moving myself via a rental truck and wanted to hire professional loaders which they advertise that they do. I sent an email asking, based on their professional experience, what a ballpark expectation of guys and hours are normal. Is it three guys for 8 hours, or is it three guys for 3 days. What I received back were two terse responses, one of which said "once again, we don't do that." Whoever is responding to the email doesn't leave their name nor should they be in a position to be the first impression of this business. For all the good reviews, I am running fast and far from any company that doesn't even begin to answer basic questions. Hopefully they will figure out and learn from this post that prospective clients often have questions before they hire. Beware of this sham and beware of the the spin provided by the company's representative. He says two estimates were provide. Not true at all. What was provided was an hourly rate. I moved from a basement apartment in Annandale VA (with stairs) to a one bed condo (without stairs) in Fairfax, VA. I had a small move but I did have a heavy mattress and a queen bed frame plus about 15 boxes. They moved it all in about an hour I think it was. They secured my breakable items and were kind and friendly. I was quoted $500 by Bookstore Movers (which I used before they charged an arm and a leg) and another company but Im happy with Elite. Not only that but I ended up having to postpone my move last minute and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend! read more

Used them for my move this weekend and they were awesome. Super fast, almost too fast because I was still packing when they arrived and I got nervous that I was in their way and slowing them down, but everything worked out in the end. I planned for 3 hrs like my last move, but they got it done in 2.5 hrs and I have a lot of heavy, large, antique furniture. The price you can't beat, especially considering how fast and friendly they are. The only issue was that they did not wrap my bed and I didn't notice until I saw them rest the side edge of the bed on the floor outside of my apartment. They showed up about 20 minutes late on the day of the move, which is no big deal, but they did not start the clock until they were actually in the apartment and ready to start packing. They did a great job moving everything into my new home, and were very attentive to where I wanted every piece of furniture and box placed in the house. These guys did such an amazing job! I was worried since their pricing was so much less than everyone else but they showed up a little earlier (about 15 minutes) than planned which worked out well. They called to confirm the address before they came out which I appreciated since our address was not always easy to find. We had only planned on two hours for the move since we were only moving down the street. It took a little longer than expected because they had to take apart our bed frame but when they put it back together they fixed a drawer that hadn't closed right for about a year! This company was AMAZING!!! We had to move out a week earlier than expected, so at the last minute I called these guys on a Thursday and was able to schedule 7am on Sunday no problem. We were in a 4th floor walk-up apartment, but that wasn't an issue at all. The two gentlemen who loaded up our truck for us did it so quickly, carefully, and with such ease - we were amazed! They made sure to wrap all the furniture in plastic and covered it all with moving blankets to prevent damage. Before starting the moving process (and hiring movers for the first time ever), I was worried that it'd be tough to choose a company among the gazillion choices in the greater DC area.
