I have a 15 monitor work station that I am very hesitant about anyone touching let alone moving, but these guys handled it like a breeze, especially during a rainy day on top of everything else. Prince Movers had the initial best rate and their hourly rate was great - far less than the other companies. Plus, they were able to move us on a Saturday. Our team was Carlos, Omar, Marvin, and Rafael. They showed up exactly on time, were polite, worked well together, and kept us fully informed of everything they were doing. One thing that was great is how they took time to prepare the home for the moving process, protecting floors, stairs, and other surfaces to make sure zero damage was done. Their wrapping of items was great - you can definitely tell that they care about protecting your items. Moving is always a pain, but Prince Movers and the team were awesome from the first quote to the final hand shakes with the team. I would recommend them to anybody and I will definitely use them again.

So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!

We discussed my budget and he adjusted the move's focus so that the final bill was right where I needed it to be. I have never had another mover be so flexible and conscientious about cost. They even went above and beyond in disposing of an old piece of furniture that we ran out of room to store. I have also had past moves with them that were very short notice and small. I also saw team members on their phones or standing around in rooms and hallways instead of actively moving things. These delays added up quickly. The crew also misplaced parts of our bed frame, and the pieces had to be found before it could be reassembled. That alone added nearly an hour to the move. Because the move took much longer than expected, the final cost was significantly higher than the estimate we received. We were also charged based on an arrival time that was recorded as ten minutes earlier than when the crew actually arrived. The team was courteous, but given the inefficiency, added time, and higher final price, we would not use Bookstore Movers again. This is unfortunate, because we had been happy with them in previous moves.

The truck was large enough, both movers came in and were polite, patient, and did not make me feel uncomfortable when handling my items. As I read all of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I have to wonder how I could have had the…read moreexperience I had. Could I have avoided the stressful outcome I endured by just asking them upfront if they would move all of my boxes? If they would stay on the job until it was finished? It may sound silly to ask this of a moving company, but read on. I'll start by saying that the three men who handled my move were mostly professional and careful for the eleven or so hours that they worked. Also, I significantly underestimated the number of boxes I had to move. Serena was very helpful when I initially contacted the company. I provided an inventory of my belongings and some photographs and she worked out a quote that was agreeable. On moving day, her team showed up on time. They were all personable and receptive to my requests. By early afternoon, the moving van was filled up ... but there were still about a hundred boxes in the old house. Suppose the new house didn't have enough room for everything? I asked if they could help me take the remaining items to a storage facility. They pointed out that by the time the van was unloaded, regular offices hours at those facilities would be over. The new house was about a 20 minute drive from the old house. I left in my car and the movers left in their van at around the same time. I arrived at the new house expecting them to be right behind me. For quite a while, they didn't show. I tried calling them but they didn't answer. After about 45 minutes, they arrived. They took a break for lunch. That's fine. Why didn't they just tell me? I labelled each of my boxes with the name of the room where I wanted it to go. For the most part the movers put the boxes in the correct rooms. However, the next morning I could not locate my toothbrush, razor, and a number of other items so I had to purchase replacements. They also dented a wall when moving the couch. They compensated for this by deducting a credit from my total bill. Sometime between 7:30 and 8:00 pm, the men had finished unloading the moving van. The boxes were distributed fairly evenly throughout the house and there was still free space remaining in each room. The team leader started preparing my bill, so I thought they were done for the day. I settled the bill and anxiously tried to figure out how I was going to get the rest of my boxes moved. Was I going to call another moving company? Rent a cargo van? Over the next week and a half, I made ten trips, usually after work, from my old house to the new one, squeezing as many boxes as I could into my little sedan. I finally got the last of the boxes moved. Not fun for an old guy with a bad back. The entire episode left me exhausted and wondering if somehow things could have been handled better. A few days after completing the second stage of my move (and nearly two weeks after the first stage) I received a voice mail message from Serena. She wanted to know how things went. She already knew there had been an issue with me having too many boxes for one trip because one of the movers had called the office on the day of the move to advise her. In her message Serena said that the office was currently closed for a holiday but that I could call her on her dedicated line. Unfortunately, she didn't realize that her line had been switched off for the holiday and was not accepting messages. A day or two later we did manage to connect. Serena was careful to ask me just a few general questions so as to avoid suggesting that anything had been handled improperly. At the same time, she wanted to know what had happened and what options, if any, I was given. I eventually told Serena that none of the movers offered to make a second trip to collect the rest of my boxes and I believed that was because they did not work after 8:00 or 9:00 pm. Serena assured me that sometimes they worked past midnight. They keep working until the job was done. Except in my case. She also agreed that the three men could have moved the last set of boxes within 90 to 120 minutes. Serena told me she would discuss the matter with the movers and get back to me. But I never heard back from her. I still don't know what to make of this entire affair. I work in customer service and I use all of my resources to ensure the all of my clients' needs are fulfilled. That's what they depend on my for. Of course, if I knew there was an option of making one more relatively short trip to complete the job, I would have gladly taken it. The company would have gotten more money, the movers would have received larger tips, and I wouldn't have faced the ordeal of moving a hundred boxes a dozen at a time by myself. Ouch!

We asked them to assemble our relatively simple bed frame. They told us that it was "too complicated". All said, they did half of a job in an hour and charged us for the full two hour minimum. When we asked for a 50 percent refund, they declined to provide it, although they claimed "they stand by their work".

We didn't plan our move-out very well, and somehow happened upon American Smart Moving when frantically looking for a moving company at the last minute. The operations staff was so cheerful, calm and accommodating when I called, and was able to work out a plan to move our household goods within a week to storage (so we could sell our house in NoVA). The moving team showed up EARLY, set up the truck and the drop cloths and had all of our things packed and out of the house within their planned time. They also unloaded everything at storage with the same dispatch and professionalism. Six weeks later, and again demonstrating their commitment to quality and care for their clients, the same crew showed up early again, packed all of our belongings back into their truck and hauled it 120 miles to our new home. Their unloading was just as professional and patient as the loading. It was a very long day, but they got us all moved in and were still smiling when they left. We hired this great company back in June to complete our move from Aldie, VA to Western Massachusetts. Clara who answered our initial call sent us the information and set up our appointment to have someone come out physically to give us the quote. We worked out our details and set up our moving dates. We were concerned about the timing and the distance we needed to cover since many moving parts were involved in the form of closing dates, 2 week layover and the final destination up to MA. I can go on and on but let me say this. This company is professional, courteous, prompt and caring. They showed up on time, both times. They wrapped everything with care and inventoried every box/furnitures. Also moved all the items with care at both locations. The only thing I regret is that I forgot the names of all the great people who showed up and took care of our belongings. I used American smart movers 6/2/2025, They give you excellent service. For the low price that they charge compared to some of other moving company's. And I was very impressed of their professional service. They make moving seem fun, and helped take a huge stressful load off me. I was unsure if they could move my hospital bed. But like everything else, they had taken it apart, wrapped it up, and put onto truck. So everything is loaded within 3hours. I was too meet them at my new location. When I arrived, the property mgr. Said my movers done came and gone. He say they do good work and fast. I enter into my place. They done put my cold foods in the fridge/freezer. Hung my clothing up in the closet, and done put my hospital bed back together. Awesome!! This is who you need when hiring a moving service. Alex and his team arrived early for my move. They set to work at once, marking which items were to go to the house and which were to go to storage. The storage items were wrapped in bubble wrap and paper which was left on in the storage unit for continuous protection. The items to go to the house were wrapped in blankets, cardboard, and plastic. Everything was seriously protected and loaded into the truck methodically and quickly. This team obviously takes pride in their work. They were very polite and they asked me to check to make sure all the items I needed to move were prepared and loaded. I was very impressed that they moved quickly and efficiently with safety and protection always in mind. They removed every bit of trash at end of the move and discarded an old mattress for me too. Alex and his crew were professional and polite. They were very careful with my belongings. Even though it was a short distance move it required a full day with the packing, loading, unloading and some unpacking. Liz in the office was very easy to work with. Both moves were transfers within my apartment building. In response to my request to get the same team if possible, the new three-person team had the same foreman as the previous three-person team. They once again did an excellent job - called in advance, arrived early, and worked very quickly and efficiently. The foreman planned well which items should be moved between the two apartments in each trip to minimize the number of trips and the work time. The team members were both friendly and professional. As with my previous move, the cost of the job came in well under the estimate due to the team's speedy work. My two experiences with NewRay have been a refreshing contrast to my experiences with other movers over the years. I plan to continue to use them for any future moves.

They disassembled larger furniture, carefully wrapped everything to prevent damage, and even safely moved several of my large houseplants, including some that are over 7 feet tall. TJ and his team completed our recent move - a four-bedroom, four-level home - in under five hours, which was incredibly impressive. If you're moving a larger home (three bedrooms or more), I'd recommend hiring four movers instead of three. We did that for our second move, and the extra person made a noticeable difference in how quickly and smoothly everything went. I wouldn't hesitate to use ARS Movers again and highly recommend them.

They reel you in with a low quote, then bully you after your belongings are on the lawn by doubling the price and forcing you to give them $1600 in cash to load your belongings. Then although they stated the belongs would be delivered the next day, indeed it took 19 more days of complete stress and major expense before they delivered and with a demand of another $1565 in cash before unloading the truck. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

They poorly packed my stuff into my two storage units. Some things broke or were smooshed. They stole extra $40 from me and gave me a poor lie for why they did it. They had to send me a $40 check after I called them out on it. Their boss wouldn't believe me and defended them, almost to the point of scolding me for accusing them of stealing... only for their lead mover to apologize to me with a weak ass lie. Edited to elaborate, since Susan continues to be in disbelief and refuses to think it's possible her employees would do such a thing and to make all of you potential customers aware of my experience: I counted out my cash out loud maybe 3x. The lead mover saw that I had multiple $20 bills amounting to hundreds of dollars. I laid some of the $20s in piles on my vehicle dashboard and counted out the cash to the amount that I owed, rounded to the nearest $20. When I gave him the money to count, he gave a fake sigh and shook his head and said I was $40 short. I didn't believe him and asked him to count again. He said I owed $40 more. So, I gave it, but I felt lied to. After that, I still tipped them smh. I shouldn't have. He left and I recounted all my money. Now I was short $40, meaning if we subtracted what I owed to them from what I withdrew from the ATM and also subtracted the tip, I should not be missing extra $40. I did the math multiple times and brought it up to Susan and the company. They accused me of lying and trying to steal from THEM. Susan said "it's only $40! I'll just send you a check. It's only $40." (Mover's name here) later texted me and apologized and said he got confused. He said when he counted the money, he set the $40 aside in his sock because it was tip. That's why he asked for $40 more. That doesn't make sense? When he counted the money in front of me, he never put any money in his sock. He just counted the money and looked me dead in the eyes and said I owed $40 more. I also didn't include tip until AFTER he said I owed $40 more and we settled what I owed first. Susan, the reason why I didn't pick up when you called today (8/10/26) is because you showed me months ago that you are argumentative and not interested in listening to me or believing me. I already know you're gonna argue like before and probably pressure me to take my review down. I took months to post this review because I knew you'd do this, call me and claim I'm lying or have your business confused with another. But if you thought that, if you truly couldn't find me in your data base, then why did you call me just now? Looks like I was in your data base after all.
