I had an absolutely incredible experience with American Moving and Storage--truly a five-star move from start to finish. Not a single ding, scratch, or mark on any wall in either house, which honestly felt like a miracle given how much was moved. Everything was packed with such care and precision--it was clear they really know what they're doing. Every item arrived in perfect condition. The entire crew was professional, courteous, and clearly experienced. The initial process was fantastic. Bryce walked us through everything and indicated that how we packed seemed good. Where things went sideways was during the move and the post move. The initial quote was about 20% less than our actual bill. That's a bit of a miss. They also broke a piece of our antique pool table and essentially replied with"if you find someone to fix it we will pay" - unclear why we even paid for the additional insurance - don't recommend doing so for your move. The pool table move was also included in the initial quote, but didn't end up in the final invoice, creating some additional chaos for us. The team also left our house with a pile of "we won't move that" which never came up during our initial discussion. Overall they are 'good'. The business prides themselves on hitting the mark with quotes and providing extra service (e.g., tv boxes, wardrobe boxes, etc.) and they fall short. We did receive a slight refund based on the missed quote but it all felt forced and hard fought on our end. The "well insurance won't pay for that" line and the email stating we signed a document the day of delivery stating everything was fine, left us feeling like we got taken. Overall, just be thoughtful about using them. Left us feeling underwhelmed and a little oversold. read more

I used American Moving & Storage for a local move and they were awesome! Mike was very communicative leading up to the move and called to confirm the day before. The team of movers were very efficient and careful in moving all of my items. Nothing broke-wahoo! They brought wardrobe boxes free of charge too. The price was higher than movers I used in the past, but those movers also caused damage to my house which I can thankfully say was avoided by this team of movers. I used American Moving Company for an Arlington to Arlington move and have nothing but good things to say about them. I contacted them kinda close to my move date but they were able to accommodate me. The movers arrived on time and worked fast, we were able to keep the entire move under two hours. I called about five places and this they quoted me the lowest and kept to that price. read more

This company is the B.E.S.T! *Incredibly* professional, courteous, careful with our possessions (a 12-hour - local - move with not 1 single mishap!), responsive/reachable from the initial conversation and estimate, through move day, and including their picking up of our used boxes and packing paper, we COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED!! scratched up my new furniture and appliances to include bending dining table legs, took doors off refrigerator, after watching YouTube and still couldn't figure it out, one guy held the door still attached by a cord and other 2 moved refrigerator, dropped my refrigerator breaking ice maker, put holes in a wall and a door, didn't say anything, left my dresser laying on its side to hide the damage caused to side. the company only paid me what they were liable for which was .60 cents a pound. barely covered the cost of the refrigerator, everything had just been bought within last 2 years, which is why I hired them in the first place. All they offered was $3000.00, when it was their employees that were negligent. plus they filed the move on the insurance claim so they still got paid for this bogus move that they didn't deserve a dime for, I called and complained about the way they were handling my stuff and they damaged even more stuff afterwards. read more

Bryce, Nick, Jack, even the owner of the company are absolutely AMAZING to work with - so accommodating, flexible, and responsive. We felt so very well taken care of throughout the moving process. They gave us a quote which ended up being super close to what we ultimately paid, no hidden fees or surprise charges, they even gave us a load of free boxes so that we could get a jump start on packing (which we wanted to do). The movers were efficient, didn't break a single item, everything arrived at our new house, and they re-assembled furniture such as a complicated elliptical and office desk with ease. American Moving and Storage moved us to NC at the end of April (2017). The movers were efficient, careful and courteous. They made sure the floors were covered in both houses to there were no scratches or marks as the furniture was moved in and out. And they made sure to clean up before leaving. Their attention to detail is impeccable and all of my furniture and other items got to my new home in perfect condition. Everything was not only packed with the utmost care, but with tremendous efficiency so that unpacking everything was a breeze. It was placed carefully and methodically and everything was wrapped and protected extremely well. Start to finish, our entire move was so easy because of Mike and his team. I called Mike after being referred to him, and he worked with my timeline of closing on a new construction. We had been burnt by movers before, so I called to check that we were on the books and was reassured weeks in advance. A couple days before the move, Mike reached out to coordinate the day of and any last minute details. I had them wrap some things for storage as well and the do an excellent job of wrapping things securely so they won't get damaged in storage and they are super good at figuring out the best way to pack it tight and high so I could get a smaller storage space. read more

This is the moving company you should choose! They responded quickly to meet our tight moving time line. Mike was incredibly easy to work with sending a crew who was professional and friendly; they were workhorses, wrapping and moving our furniture exactly at the 3 hours and price they estimated. We stored our furniture at their site for a week until we were able to move in to our new house. The same crew moved our furniture in - not one piece damaged or broken.
