We did our due diligence and obtained two other estimates, both higher than the one from Prince. In fact, one was twice as high. We were a bit concerned about the great disparity. However, having been impressed with Karey and Jon and reading about the fundamental principles of their business we elected to go with Prince. They called ahead of time to advise they were on the way - and on time ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Carlo, the team leader, was polite, responsive to our requests, flexible to add on a few things we needed to move, and his supervision of the other three members of the crew : Omar, Jeff and Mario. The care that the entire crew gave to our furniture, including some large, heavy wood pieces with glass shelves and doors, was extraordinary. Wow. Amazing. These are the BEST movers that I've ever used. Jose, Manuel, Alessandro(?) and crew were extremely FAST and EFFICIENT!! We were moving within DC and I got quotes from Prince Movers, Mic's Moving, Bookstore Movers, and All My Sons Moving. Prince Movers had the initial best rate and their hourly rate was great - far less than the other companies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus, they were able to move us on a Saturday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our team was Carlos, Omar, Marvin, and Rafael. They showed up exactly on time, were polite, worked well together, and kept us fully informed of everything they were doing. One thing that was great is how they took time to prepare the home for the moving process, protecting floors, stairs, and other surfaces to make sure zero damage was done. The move stretched over two days and we were highly impressed with all of the team members professionalism, work ethic, and safe handling. Items were handled with great care and the team was very cognizant of ensuring no damage was done to any walls/flooring at both locations. All this was accomplished during a significant heat wave during July 2026 that saw heat indexes well over 100 degrees. You can't put a price on the value of saving your back when moving from one place to another, but Prince Movers was by far the most reasonable quote we received. These four guys: Carlos, Omar, Jeff, and Mario did an outstanding job with our move on June 15, 2026 from Heritage Hunt in Gainesville, Virginia to Falcons Landing in Potomac Falls, Virginia. They were courteous, extremely careful in wrapping and preparing our furniture (including glass shelving, mirrors, and artwork) for the move, and efficient. They arrived promptly at 8 AM and had our house packed out by noon. Furniture was reassembled and installed in our new home by 3 PM!! Not a scratch, not a bump. Finally getting to write this review although the move was done several months ago. This was the second time I used them. The move the first time was much smaller and the delivery was flawless. I could not give the highest rating this time as there were multiple issues with the move, of which I will not go into detail. In this business it should be expected that every move will not go as planned without any issues. The important thing is how the owner of the business responds to these issues. In my instance, the owner did everything above and beyond to make things right. I had heard scary stories of disreputable moving companies breaking things and holding items hostage until more fees were paid. Prince couldn't not have been further from this. The team showed up on time (with 10 minute heads up text), were courteous and friendly, took great care of our home and stuff, packed the truck swiftly but carefully, met us the next day on time at our new home, unloaded with care, and off they went. Omg DA BEST movers yall. Moving from DV to VA and my husband initially went with Prince Movers because they're local to the DMV and insured. We've just had not great luck with movers in DC and a lot of furniture or plants would show up to our new place broken. Also, you could tell these movers were just in it for the job for the money and honestly didn't care, especially when arriving an hour late to a scheduled appointment. So lemme just say, when we met Max and Tony on a Friday 8 am move appointment right before we found out the freight elevator near our apartment was broken and they didn't complain. Yall....these men were amazing! We had to literally walk a city block to another freight elevator and these dudes were running down the hall having a great time. Even with Max, Tony and my husband, an original 4 hour move turned into a 8+ hr move. T_T Dudes had a smile on their face, even when having to push a piece of our couch up six flights of stairs. Prince Movers was great prior, but have become terrible. The day before, Karey confirmed our reservation in writing. The time of the move, they did not show up or contact us. We contacted them, and had to wait over 3 hours for a substitute crew, which compounded delays, costs and problems. We were offered a small discount, which we said was still not enough, but they never remedied it. The crew was unprofessional. From the start, they were griping about the summer, their hours, us asking for any packing help, and their job, in Spanish - thinking we could not understand them. Despite just a little extra packing help needed, they griped about it and delayed the move not doing things while trying to make us do it for them. Then, without notice or discussion, they went in and started tossing items haphazardly in boxes; bottles stuffing liquids upside-down and sideways with electronics and other items. They damaged and folded up rugs and stuffed them into boxes, and slid furniture directly across the concrete. They packed electronics upside down, or with no padding in boxes, or items on top of bulbs and computer keyboards. They didn't wrap the things they packed or take proper protections, and they damaged things. They did not pack like the prior crew, or like any professional company we have had. They packed like disgruntled children. Despite most items already packed, and much of it already moved to storage before they came, they lackadaisically spent almost 5 hours to just do a partial load from the house, in a move to a condo. The previous time, a pro crew wrapped and packed everything carefully and quickly. This time, we could have gotten the same or better from a cheap labor Groupon. They refused our offer to buy them a meal, and insisted on going to their preferred restaurant, which was the opposite direction. Then, despite that this was just a very close local in-town move to a condo about 14 minutes away, the crew disappeared with our stuff for the better part of an hour and half - easily including an hour meal break. When they reappeared, Francisco was rude, and lied he didn't know where it was, and thought it was a ground floor (despite that the reservation said otherwise and we reviewed Google maps/street view with him on his phone prior). He couldn't find perfect parking (because not only did they not start when scheduled, but took more than an hour off while parking became filled up with people coming home from work). And, to save themselves a few feet walk from a curb, they parked the truck blocking one entire lane of a side street, and made the intersection dangerous. Then they dumped our items in stacks - right up to the door or stairs, so we could not even walk or or get to things, and they tried to not even reassemble furniture or electronics they took apart, and did not even test out TVs and monitors as they should have, rushing to go. They damaged our door; chipped, scratched and damaged our railing, and then stacked boxes in front of it apparently to hide the damage so we couldn't find it until later. They damaged an expensive exercise machine, leather chairs, a TV, office chairs, and much more. Their damages prevented disabled people from medically necessary items. Francisco tried to intimidate us from making complaints, and even lied or refuted damages - even despite his own pictures, or witnessing them damaging parts. To refute breaking electric chairs, Francisco fiddled with them and argued they were plugged in a surge protector prior, but were now plugged directly into the wall, arguing they were now getting too much more electricity! And, trying to argue against the screen damage that matched his thumb, he argued he only lifted our TV (and all TVs he has ever moved!) by gripping them from the top! Francisco then issued me a bill for a local move to a condo that was as big or more than the prior bill - more than MULITPLE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS - despite that the prior involved more movers, from a full house to a full house, disassembling and assembling more furniture, packing much more of the house, charges for packing materials, and much more property (that we already had taken to storage in advance of this move). And, he tried to refuse me the promised discount, and then argued against his owner's own offer. Then, Francisco tried to rush me to sign and pay his false bill, before he filled it all out, and to prevent me from seeing or filling out other forms - and he tried to falsely bill me for time, and even tried to bill me for their hour-long meal break. And, despite my making note of concerns on the documents, Prince Movers, let alone its owner, did not even attempt to follow-up, or seemingly care at all. It's so sad what has happened to this company, and how it apparently cannot be trusted and has turned to disreputable business practices and staff. We had the pleasure of working with Henry's team for a move. We used them to both do some packing and help with the move. They finished the packing of a 3 level townhouse in just over 3 hours and did a phenomenal job to set up for the move, which originally was going to be two days later. However, with snow in the forecast we moved the moving date to the next day and they were incredibly flexible. They arrived early the next morning and packed everything up and moved it to the new house and then unloaded in a pretty bad snow storm. They were competitively priced and to be honest I think I got even more value than they charged. The new house was lined with carpeting for them to walk on and they loaded everything in to the new house with no issues whatsoever. Another stellar move with Prince Movers. This was my third move with the company and easily the smoothest, most convenient move I have ever had. (And that's saying a LOT because I move frequently; usually every 1 to 2 years) The guys reached called me about 45 minutes ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive. They arrived exactly when they said they would, ready to work and ready to go. They handled my belongings gently and carefully, they were careful not to damage my property or my residence as they moved my belongings, and I was surprised to find that they had also proactively assembled my furniture. I did not ask them to do it, nor did I expect it, but I was so happy to have one less thing to do. I also want to give a shout out to Karey. I had some issues with my previous move and she handled it so professionally that I couldn't help but give the company another try. I'm so glad I did. Alex and his crew did a wonderful job taking care of my items when moving me. They were punctual. They went the extra mile to wrap my furniture, and while it took a while to get everything loaded and unloaded, there didn't ever seem to be a time when the crew wasn't moving. This was the most disappointing and upsetting move I have ever experienced. Not only did the company fail to stay within the time frame they guaranteed, but they also did not honor the terms of their contract regarding the protection and handling of my property. Items were packed carelessly, with glass treated as if it were plastic and plastic treated as if it were glass. Additionally, their crew used my specialized medical equipment as makeshift dollies, resulting in further damage to valuable and expensive items. One of the workers also used inappropriate and unprofessional language while speaking in Spanish, apparently assuming I would not understand. I understood every word. This is egregious. There is no circumstance where it is acceptable to speak about a customer in that manner, in any language, regardless of whether you believe they can understand you or not. The worker called me "Puta". They damaged my heirloom china cabinet and, despite promising to repair it and cover the damage, they have failed to follow through or respond to multiple inquiries. Their lack of accountability has been extremely unprofessional. I strongly do NOT recommend this company. I encourage others to look elsewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To clarify, this is NOT a fake review. I am a dissatisfied customer simply seeking for the company to correct the damage they caused.
