I grew up a professional military brat and even worked for some moving companies when I was a young lad so moving is definitely one thing I am well versed in. After reading reviews here, reflecting on my own experience with A.M. a few weeks ago and considering my knowledge of moving and packing I have to give Available Movers a full 5+ stars! If you are shopping for moving companies and you have minimal moving experiences or even none at all. Take some time to educate yourself on the process first and so your expectations are planted correctly in the first place. Originally I got an $80 p/h estimate with a $125 service fee. Ultimately I was charged $85 p/h but only a $110 service fee. The difference is negligible and I did not care about the difference. I have to also add that my original estimate was for a weekend that had already passed and not the same as my move out date wound up being. I'm particular and as I've pointed out already have a lot of moving experience. What I don't have is limitless strength and a 26' box truck. I did all the packing and cleared out small stuff and boxes in the weeks before the move. Available Movers came in moved all my big heavy stuff, I wanted them specifically for no packing, no disassembly and no re assembly. The stairs were a burden and take tons of time away but even still they got me out and back in a place 2 miles away in a little less than 4 hours so I was more than happy to pay for the 4 hours and tip the guys! I hired Available Movers & Storage for my move on 12/21/24. While the actual moving crew was efficient and hardworking, the poor management, hidden fees, and unresolved damage claim made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I gave them plenty of chances to resolve the issues, but at this point, I feel obligated to warn others. 1. Hidden Fees & Pricing Practices The initial quote did not include a fuel surcharge or credit card processing fees, yet both were added to my final invoice, increasing the total cost by $146. This feels deceptive--like a tactic to make their pricing appear more competitive upfront, only to tack on extra charges later. 2. Broken Table - No Resolution One of my stone tables broke during the move. While accidents happen, and I do believe the movers handled my furniture with care, what happened after is unacceptable. The company picked up my damaged tabletop on 2/3/25 for supposed repairs, but despite texting and emailing them throughout February, I have received no clear updates. I keep getting vague responses or silence. As of now, I don't even know if my table can be repaired or if I will ever get it back. 3. Unfulfilled Refund Promise & Overcharged for a Table That Was Never Moved I originally planned to have another marble table moved, but the crew didn't bring enough movers to lift it. While safety is absolutely the top priority, it was frustrating because I had mentioned this table in advance and expected it to be included in the move. Instead, they wanted to charge me an additional $200 to come back on another day to move it, which felt unreasonable given that it should have been accounted for in the initial plan. Since I declined, the table was never moved--but they still charged me $212.95 for it. They acknowledged the mistake and promised a refund, but I never received it. 4. Late Arrival The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8:30-9:00 AM, but they didn't show up until 9:30 AM. While delays can happen, I was given no proactive communication about the delay, which was inconvenient. 5. Poor Communication & Lack of Accountability While the movers themselves were great, management is a nightmare to deal with. I reached out multiple times via email and text to Laura throughout January and February, yet she either gave vague answers, made excuses, or ignored me entirely. In January, I was informed that they had a death in the family, so I was understanding and gave them extra time. However, I still expected occasional updates, especially since I was in constant back-and-forth text communication throughout February trying to get a status update on my broken table. Despite this, I was given no clear timeline, no repair confirmation, and no details on where my table was taken. 6. Recurring Issues in Other Reviews After my experience, I checked other reviews and found similar complaints from customers over the years--poor communication, hidden fees, and unresolved damage claims. It's disappointing that they are still engaging in the same problematic practices. 7. No Response to Formal Request - Forced to File a Dispute I formally emailed them on 3/1/25 requesting a written response by 3/6/25 regarding both my refund and my damaged table. When they failed to respond, I followed up again on 3/6/25, reminding them of my previous email. Still, no response. At this point, I am forced to file a credit card dispute to try and recover my money. I'll also continue pursuing answers regarding my table, but at this point, I don't know if I'll ever see it again. If the situation gets resolved, I will update this review. Final Thoughts The Good: The actual movers were hardworking and efficient. Despite the damage to my table, I recognize that they wrapped my furniture well and put in real effort. The Bad: Poor management, hidden fees, no accountability, and a lack of communication. I gave them plenty of time to resolve my issues, but they refused to take action. If you use this company, be prepared for potential issues with hidden charges and unresponsive management if you have any issues. read more

Choose wisely! Between my husband and me, we have moved more than 15 times. In July of this year, we chose Available Moving & Storage to pack and move our household effects. It was, by far, the worst moving experience we have ever had. The President and Vice President of the company provided a reasonable quote after walking our property. We received quotes from several companies and the estimate given by Available Moving & Storage for the 38-mile move was the in the middle of the pack. However, by the end of our move, the final invoice was 32% greater than the estimate and our credit card was charged prior to any explanation of the increased amount. It wasn't until I called Available Movers & Storage that an explanation was provided. We were told that it can be difficult to provide accurate estimates for packing with a walk-thru. We mistakenly assumed that the owners of the company would be well versed in their industry and would be able to provide an estimate within 10% - 15% of the actual cost. We were sadly mistaken. Of all our previous moves, we have NEVER received an invoice that differed so drastically from the estimate. To minimalize the expense and protect our most valuable property, we packed roughly 30% of our household effects, including valuable books. As we unpacked, we discovered many of the boxes we had packed had been unpacked and repacked by the movers after leaving our property and without our consent. In one instance a bible from 1834 was severely damaged. We sent photos of the bible and the boxes that had clearly been opened and repacked to the President of the company. We received no comment or explanation from her. Much of our clothing was hung in garment boxes which in theory, is great. However, additional clothing and expensive curtains were thrown in the bottom of the boxes resulting in hefty dry-cleaning bills. Lastly, framed art and photographs were stacked upon each other without bubble wrap or other materials to separate each item. Unfortunately, we declined to purchase insurance - Big Mistake. Once again, we made several assumptions that proved to be wrong - that clothing and curtains would be packed properly, not stuffed in the bottom of a garment box, boxes packed by us would not be repacked by the movers, and framed pictures would be packed appropriately. Basically, we assumed Available Moving & Storage knew what they were doing. Lastly, our attempts to resolve the issues with the Pres/VP proved to be nerve wracking. For some reason, only the President was able to address our concerns. The VP could not/would not address our issues. I have never written a review good/bad/indifferent for any product or service. However, our experience was so frustrating and the final invoice was so egregious, I felt compelled to write this. Naturally, there are two sides to every story. Our advice to anyone reading this review is 1) do your research, 2) buy insurance (although we have never needed it until now), and 3) CHOOSE WISELY. There are so many other moving companies that provide service to Northern Virginia. No one should have to experience what we did. read more

The husband and wife owners came to my house. They were nice. They checked out the house to determine the price and asked for a credit card. As they walked out the husband said "by the way there is a credit card payment fee." That is something that should have been explained before I paid with a credit card. A few days before moving day the husband called and said he believes we need a bigger truck so that it all can get done in one day in one trip. I am not sure what changed from the day they quoted me with the 21' truck but now he says I need a 26' truck. Knowing that I want it done in one day, I have no choice but to agree. I ask how much will that cost and he says about $500. I get credit card alert for $669. Now I have paid well over $5k. The movers themselves were pretty efficient. They got there at 10am and loaded the truck until 2:40pm. When they unload they do a decent job except they break my office desk and don't tell me. They prop everything together like it's fine and I don't know until the next day that parts are no longer attached and are broken. I also get charged an extra $463 from the movers a few days later. I contact the owner multiple times where I am promised an email response back about my desk but I never receive anything and a refund for the extra charge. It's been over 10 days and no refund, so I had to file a charge dispute with my credit card. Now I'm just hoping they agree to give me back this money. I used this company 2x in the past. Their customer service has always been on point. Along with the movers they provide. The movers have always been respectful and professional. I have never had a problem and intend in using them again in my future move. Although i always, always make a point to pack everything ourselves that when they arrive all they have to do is load the truck and drop and go. As well as provide water or a sports drink and a nice tip. Cause as we all know moving is not an easy task. And we moved into a 3rd floor so you can just imagine. So, give them a try. This company was recommended to me by my mother in law who used them last year and had great things to say. After receiving ridiculous quote amounts from other companies, I decided to try Available Movers. Not only was the price great but the customer service from the beginning was excellent. Ismael and Marco arrived on time. They worked quickly and efficiently. All of my furniture was wrapped and safely transported. They were able to fit furniture in rooms I was afraid they wouldn't be able to get through the door but these guys offered to try first and succeeded. I usually don't write these reviews, but I have issues with companies that willfully lie about what they're going to charge you. There was an agreement that I would get charged $250 for my move, but they tacked on an extra $75 "service fee" without being transparent about it as I made the initial reservation. I didn't find out about this until I checked my credit card statement a month later. I was comparing the $250 charge among other moving companies, and they lied to me to get my business. The money doesn't matter. But the principle of being truthful to your customers does matter. You got my short-term business, but you've lost what could've been a loyal customer. The owner talks a good game and sounds friendly, but his actions speak volumes. Another questionable behavior I'd like to point out: I specifically told the owner that I needed at least a 30-minute call ahead of time so I could get to the location for transferring the couch I was moving. He called me five minutes before, and given his behavior with the service fee, I suspect he did that on purpose so the move would take longer and he could charge me more. If you do decide to use this company for your move, make sure you document all of your transactions and e-mails, along with 100% clarifying the final price to include the following: 1) Service Fees 2) Fuel Costs 3) Charges past the first hour 4) Whatever else you can think of read more

8 hours for a one bedroom apartment! So unprofessional service! My move crew was very Inexperienced and didn't have appropriate tools. I warned the company well in advance of the support I would require for my moving. They estimated from 3 to 4 hours. It took 8 hours and when they left my place the furniture was not all assembled. I had to hire a different professional to come in, finished what they couldn't and fix my bed that they assembly incorrectly. The movers were great and I had no complaints. BUT they are a shady company and their MO is to double charge and hope you don't notice. I used them in April 2018 and was double charged for the service. I paid for the min 3 hours of service at the time that I made the reservation. The move took 1 more hour than expected. The owner? spoke with me over the phone and asked how I would like to pay for the additional hour. I paid with the credit card that was on file. A few days later, I noticed I was charged twice, instead of just the cost of an additional hour. I was able to get refunded -- I thought it was just simply an error. No big deal. I used them again in April 2019 and, like before, the move went over the prepaid time slot. I was double charged AGAIN. I find it extremely hard to believe that it was an accident. As movers go, these people are OK. The good: The movers themselves were very good. Although they showed up more than an hour late (more on that later), they were very polite, efficient, careful and fast. I moved a one-bedroom from NE DC to Hyattsville in exactly two hours, which could have actually been a shorter time if not for a tricky apartment situation where we had to park and move the items from waaaay far away from the actual unit. The annoying: The customer service I received prior to my move was excellent. I spoke with Laura about the quote (I had a groupon, they charged me a service fee on top of the groupon) and she was very professional. The day of my move however, the service I received was super-annoying, bordering on bad. I called after the movers were an hour late and spoke to a man who said they had a certain window of time before they were actually considered late. I don't remember what he said the window was, but it was over an hour. They showed up about 90 minutes after they were scheduled and complained of traffic. Wow, at 9 a.m., that's a great surprise that you definitely shouldn't have planned for! Also, after the move was over, the mover called the office and I was put on the phone with Laura. She informed me that there was some document from Groupon that she hadn't received and she needed it immediately. Why she didn't mention that one of the other three times I'd spoken to her prior to my move, I'm not sure. I'm sitting in my new apartment without internet or computer access yet and she's demanding that I find some document for her. I find it and email it to her. No response back from her: thank you, you're all squared away, nothing. Not a super big deal, but kind of shows they care way more about you when trying to win your business than when you're an actual customer. read more

Recently, we used Available Movers after they did a great job for my in-laws move. The team did a fantastic job for us - they worked hard and efficiently. When we saw that we were not going to get all the packing done, I called Zain and asked for packing help as well. We were in a bind and he sent guys over on only a few days notice. Throughout the move, not a single item broke. No walls were marked - everything went very smoothly. They priced the job fairly and when needed that last minute help, they still priced this work fairly. I used this company twice before and was happy with them. For this latest move in July 2019 I was far from happy with the job that they did. The two movers just tossed my stuff into storage with no regard to my valuables. Some boxes had either no lid or were crushed which I discovered after my storage was repacked by another company. I also want to point out that there were items in my unit that should have been taken to my new apartment. Every item was marked Apartment or Storage on it. I had several phone calls with Mr. Zain owner? About fixing this. He only wanted to offer repacking the storage unit but not taking the stuff that didn't belong there to my new place as well. He said he would have to pay the guys for 6 hours to do this. I said as long as he was not willing to do both then we had no deal and I would not remove my reviews of them. Great except with charging you. We have a dog and a new baby and used movers for the first time. They were on time and super fast moving us out of a 2 bed apt and into a 3 bed townhome. While the movers themselves were great, one didn't speak English and it was difficult to show them where things went, even though rooms and boxes were labeled. Billing was a nightmare. They took out $600 for an estimated 6 hours when I booked the move. Then it took less time and they charged me AGAIN for that time. It took many calls and emails to FINALLY receive a refund for the $600 they originally charged. If we ever move again, I would like them to do it BUT I will definitely not be giving my credit card info when I book it. read more

Mr. Khokhar would not honor the quote on his own sign, then he claimed that the "Small Move Special" on the company website was also unavailable. After using a credit card to reserve a move date for my small office, I was charged $299 instead of the $125 deposit. It took nearly a month to get a refund, which they never did issue despite repeated promises from both Mr. Khokhar and Laura Khokhar, I had to initiate a chargeback through my credit card company to get a refund. This moving company was so terrible I've been trying to write reviews anywhere to help people avoid having their items ruined during an already stressful time. 100% scam & ripoff. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe the experience. 1. They can't figure out when they are going to show up, promised 1pm, then said 4, called at 2 and said 2:30, showed up after 3:30. Threatening over the phone to not unload unless I overpaid by an hour+ charges. Unable to understand simple instructions on where to place items, 1 mover left during the loading phase (no idea where he went, lost?). I unloaded most of the items myself. Do not use them they are shady with charging you. We used them to move a table and bench. I spoke with Laura on the phone and was originally quoted 270$ for two movers, a truck and two hours. I asked Laura about possibly getting three movers, since the table was very heavy and it needed to be moved to the second floor of my house, she then quoted me $350. I decided to go with three movers, so my house would not be damaged. The day of the move, we found out they only had two movers and they came at 4pm (even though the pick up window was 1-3pm). I was confused why I was being charged $350, since this was not what we had agreed on. But I decided to be grateful for the table being delivered and tipped the movers and was going to let it go. Except when my credit card was charged twice I called the company to complain. Laura could not be reached, And would not return my emails. I was told over the phone 3x that my refund was being issued. It has been two weeks and the company still claims that is being processed. My next step is to report to my creditor. So overall, save the trouble and don't book here. They're so prompt before they take your money but then they play possum when they double charge you. read more

Price Per Hour: I got estimates from three different movers. Two of the moving companies charged between $120 and $130 per hour. All had various travel charges and fuel charges. My friend used Available Movers (AM) and told me he wasn't sure what he paid but he knew it was under $100 per hour. I called AM and they were very polite and cordial. When I told AM my friend Steve used them, AM informed me that Steve paid $109 per hour and he would give me the same rate. I later found out that Steve paid $89 per hour because he found his receipt from his move in his email. I had already agreed to $109 and I didn't want to call back and stir the pot. Besides, I live on the 3rd and 4th floor of a building and Steve lived on the 1st floor. I let the per hour price go because they still came in cheaper than the others. Time Estimate: After telling each moving company the amount of square footage, the number of stairs, and a general description of the amount of stuff I have, each gave me a different amount of time for a team of 3 guys. One place told me it would take at least 10 hours. One place said between 8 and 10. AM told me between 5 and 7. At the time, I thought this low time estimate was a mark of the companies speed and efficiency. I later found out that this was just a tactic to keep their estimate low and attractive. Time to move: In total, my move took 11 hours and two trips with the truck. To the credit of the movers, they packed the truck like champion Tetris players. I have never seen such a tightly packed truck. However, I feel the movers spent too much time trying to figure out how to pack the truck tightly. I was only moving 2.5 miles away and it would have gone faster if they would have focused less on packing and more on speed. After all, I am paying by the hour. The moving crew: The crew was an hour late. Besides that, what a great bunch of guys. They were careful, polite, and for the most part, efficient. Besides the previously mentioned truck packing issue, they were very good. Perhaps they could have been a little more speedy but I can't blame them too much. My condo is on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building and its 52 steps from the very top to the bottom. Hidden charges: When i told AM i wanted to pay with a credit card, I was informed that i would be charged a 3% fee. I was never charged this fee in the end. After about 7.5 hours, I get a call from AM stating that after 8 hours they are going to start charging me time and a half ($164 per hour). AM said its because they like to pay the guys extra on long days and that it is a company policy. I told AM that i would not be paying extra because I was not informed of this policy when I committed to the service. I also informed AM that the rate that I pay has no bearing on how much he pays his crew. He agreed to waive the time and a half charge because I was not initially informed of the policy. At this point AM tells me they will be adding charges for plastic wrap and tape that were not included in the initial estimate. $30 for plastic wrap, $30 for tape. In my first conversation with AM, tape and plastic wrap was part of their service and there was no additional charge for it on my first quote. I let this slide as well seeing that this guy was not going to stop until he got a little extra out of me. After the move was complete, the lead mover handed me his phone. AM tells me that he had already precharged my credit card earlier in the evening for 14 hours of work because the lead mover told him that it could potentially take that long. He said I would receive a receipt with the final price and that I would receive a credit back on my account for the difference. AM charged $1869 to my card on the 31st. On the 8th, i check my statement and there was no credit. Also, I hadn't received my final itemized receipt. I called AM and asked for a status. AM told me that he would be sending the final receipt out and he would be refunding me about $250. I then told AM that it should be considerably more that $250. AM then tells me "oh right, what did I tell you your final charge was?" I told him it should be around $1400ish. He said, "Right, I will credit you $350." I told him, do not credit anything until you send me my final itemized receipt. So I jump on Excel and add everything up the way I see it, including tax, including 3% CC fee. It came out to $1342. He later calls me back and said he would be refunding me $485. This was close enough so I let it slide. The final bill did not include 5% tax and it did not include 3% CC fee. It did however, include an increased fuel charge from the initial estimate (understandable) and $60 for tape and plastic wrap. Here is the thing, AM was never argumentative or rude. It just seemed to me that he was waiting for me to miss something. Hoping I would forget about this or that. I am sure many people do. Moving is stressful. If you use these guys, make sure you have a paper trail!! read more

I originally chose Available movers because of the reviews, ignoring the ones that were negative. Benefit of the doubt? After I had agreed upon the quote, the manager (Zain?) called me for a $129 and then the company placed a hold on my account for $429 before the move occurred. The movers came on time and started working. Though I caught them leaning on furniture in the back of the truck texting a few times, they worked pretty well. They scoffed at having to take boxes up to the fourth floor and ended up leaving a bunch of fourth floor boxes on the second hidden amongst the rest. Ok, no biggie. I even started moving stuff out into the new house just to help and save time. Time=$ The issue I have is with the management and the customer service. They charged me more than what was quoted for the final move and didn't refund the hold of $429. I emailed them with a breakdown of charges and what I was supposed to be charged. The manager never returned my phone calls and I finally received an email back from Laura assuring me that they would refund me. They still didn't refund me the full amount back so I overpaid for the move, on top of nice tips for both of the movers. I wasn't pleased with having to chase them down, having my calls ignored, and then still being overcharged despite the contract. So just heed my warning with this company and pay attention to your deposit, hold amount, and final charge. *****I have to update this review. After reading my post, Available Movers contacted me in regards to me being overcharged. After I sent copies of receipts and a breakdown of costs, the owner refunded me the amount that I was owed! Moving is always a stressful experience and dealing with Available Movers certainly did nothing to alleviate my stress! I scheduled movers several weeks in advance for a Thursday move. I never heard from them regarding what time to expect them, so I call them up and am told 4 pm. Not ideal, but fine. Then it keeps getting pushed later and later until finally, it is going to be too late for them to come at all! (I was moving things to a storage unit and there is no access after 10 pm, which I didn't think would be a problem when I scheduled this). So then they are supposed to show up at 6 am the next day and don't show until 6:45 which was cutting it really close when I had to do the walk through and pass papers that same morning! They were also very sketchy with the billing. The person I dealt with on the phone was extremely difficult and tried to charge me for 4 hrs of labor when it was less than 3! I will say that the 2 guys who finally showed up were great! Very quick and efficient, which was especially important since everything kept getting pushed back and they took good care my furniture, wrapping even the cheap-o bookcase in plastic. But it was not worth the hassle! Definitely looking for another company when I close on my next place and have to get everything back out of storage! read more

One of my co-workers recommended this company because she had use them in the past. After using them myself, I would never recommend them to anyone. My complaint is not about the workers themselves. The three guys who actually did the packing and moving did a wonderful job! They were fast and efficient and packed everything nicely. Great group of guys. This company is very fortunate to have these guys working for them. My complaint is about how the business is run. Very dishonest. If you go with this company, keep track of every minute. The gentleman I negotiated with (not sure if he is the owner) seemed a bit sketchy. If you do not keep track, they will overcharge you and make it sound legit. Also, I still have not received a refund for the boxes I purchased at Home Depot despite several email and phone calls to him. Do not purchase your boxes unless you don't care about being refunded for them. I honestly don't care about the $20 I spent purchasing the boxes, it's the principal of the matter. Don't advertise free boxes and then insist I purchase my own (I even offered to drive to their office myself to pick up the free boxes) and not refund me. Not a honest way to run a business. Unfortunate situation that I used them for my move. Will definitely not be using them again nor will I be recommending them to anyone. read more

Beware!!! DO NOT buy this Groupon deal! First of all, I paid the 250 on Groupon and called for an appt. Woman answered but said she was too busy and would call me back but never did. Then the owner, a male, answered and told me that they were too busy and to cancel the Groupon and would give me a better deal for 300!? Unfortunately I had a time crunch so I just went for the "deal." On the day of, they called my husband to say they're sending an extra guy last minute for another $100?!!!! Says it was a "deal". The third guy was apparently already on his way so they were going to charge us regardless but my husband was clearly not happy about this last minute decision wo even notifying us prior. So he sends him for an additional $60. Total scam!!! I hardly ever write a one star review but seriously?!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you care about your home, possessions, and time, I strongly advise against using this company. First: I made it VERY clear I needed the movers at my condo by 10am, I had restricted moving hours because it was a condo. The movers showed up ONE HOUR LATE. I had other friends helping and they had to sit around and wait and waste their time. I didn't receive any type of warning they would show up late. Second: The movers they sent me spoke literally no english, I could not communicate with them. I kept trying to tell them where to put things and they didnt know what rooms I meant, I had to walk with them through the house I was moving to in order to show every room every time they moved an item. Third: L-A-Z-Y. On a number of occasions I caught the workers sitting in the back of their truck watching videos on their phones when they were supposed to be moving me out of my condo, they wasted at least 30 minutes doing this. Unbelievable. It took them 3 hours to move my 1 bedroom apartment out, and only 1 hour at the new house because at the new house I was able to stand next to the truck and watch them so they couldn't waste time. Fourth: They scratched my BRAND NEW wood floors in my house by pushing furniture and boxes on it. Fifth: I told them not to wrap certain furniture I didn't care about, and wrap others I did care about. They wrapped the ones I didn't want wrapped, and didn't wrap the ones I cared about. They damaged an antique table I own. This all stems from the fact that neither spoke english and didn't understand my instructions. SIXTH: The owner tried to charge me for an EXTRA HOUR because he was trying to count from the time the movers were supposed to show up instead of the time they actually showed up. I had to argue with him to have him adjust the time they moved us. Do not use this company. read more

These people, are the WORST!!!! They are scammer, cheaters, liars. They quote one price over the phone, then show up the morning of the move with a contract with well-hidden prices. They send non-English speaking people so that you can't ask questions and you are pretty much held hostage to sign bc you need to move your stuff. The verbal agreement was for 1250 and then they charged the cc 2043.25, the day BEFORE you sign the written contract for the upped price. They are scam artists who are very good and playing the game. They know exactly that people are in a pinch on moving day. They call DURING THE MOVE, furniture is on 95, and demand EVEN MORE MONEY!!!! the Balls of these gross people. This company is excellent! The movers showed up right on time at 8:00 A.M., and the movers were fast, efficient, yet safe while moving boxes and furniture. With only two movers, it was impressive how quickly they finished loading a truck load of gear. The price for the movers was very reasonable, and I highly recommend this moving company! read more

I purchased new bedroom furniture and wanted to donate the old furniture so I hired Available Movers to come remove 5 pieces (bed/mattress, dresser/mirror, 2 side tables). What a mistake that was! The owner, ZAIN, is a professional liar and that's where the professionalism ends. He charged me 3 times the amount he quoted and tacked on extra charges like fuel surcharge and travel time which he never mentioned in his quote. You can't talk to him because all he wants to do is make excuses and argue. The movers weren't so bad except they showed up late and didn't speak English. Their photos are misleading - no one wore a uniform and they drove a rental truck. I ended up paying a premium price for substandard service...DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. read more

When I first contacted this company I was a little worried on how the service might be just because the prices are so good it seemed like it must be too good to be true, but after today's move I am 100% satisfied and impressed. I moved from a 1 bed 1 bath apt and had probably 70 boxes plus furniture. The 2 guys that came out were fantastic. They were very friendly and their work ethic was great. Super fast and efficient at what they do....they wrap everything up for you as well so nothing get scratched. So glad I went with this company afterall....phenomenal. read more

My move was a not for the weak and Available Movers did it with care and efficiency. The staff was super pro and worked like robots. Laura was the person who set up the initial plan and we were happy with her support as she was honest and clear about expectations. The cost wasn't free, it was reasonable and we were more than happy with the investment. The amount of work completed by the staff was amazing and saved us double in what we spent at least not to mention the hassle. The moving STAFF was/is amazing and should be credited with our highest compliments. Not a scratch on anything, they left maybe an inch of empty space in the entire volume of the truck. Oh and add, they wrapped pretty much everything that wasn't a cardboard box. Will recommend Available Movers to others for sure. NO REGRETS! read more

I had four moves with Available Movers this summer. The crews were great, and the written estimates I was given were complete. I've no problem with my credit card being billed prior to each of the moves, but I was billed in error THREE times. I called after move Number Two for adjustment, which was made without an issue. I called after move Number Three for another adjustment (double billed on the estimate and not even the exact same amount). I called after move Number Four requesting an audit. I received my final refund that same day, but had I not been paying attention to my Visa card I would have OVERPAID BY ABOUT 25%! One error I understand, two errors raise my eyebrows, but three errors equaling about 25% is unacceptable. read more

Overcharged my Credit Card. Every time you call them they will say we are doing the refund immediately. All is fake promise. Called Owner Zian at least 5 to 10 times and every time same answer, your money will not go anywhere but doesn't bother to give it back too. Did BBB complaint for same. read more

I would HIGHLY recommend Available Movers in Sterling, Virgina!! My management company pulled a fast own and was making us move out by noon or else was going to charge us a $1,000 a day extra fee. ( Kerpec Management is the terrible company, I unfortunately leased from.) None the less, Zain from Available Movers found a solution and helped me move out a day early than I was originally scheduled to.
