I immediately got on the phone and called Zippy Shell DMV and described my situation, and shared dimensions and photos, and they said they saw no reason why they couldn't do what the others couldn't. 3 hours later, our storage unit was delivered, and as you can see, they tucked it expertly into my tight spot. When you have a storage unit for 4 months, it's great to not have it on the street, and not have it block your garage either. Well done!. Zippy Shell's units are also very nice, flat to the ground with barn style doors and even carpeting on the floor. And they price matched the competition. I called on Monday the 31st and asked how to cancel. I was asked if it was emptied and unlocked. I said it was emptied but my husband did not know he needed to take the lock off and I would do it. I was not told it had to be done before closing that day. I worked until 9pm and was not able to come and unlock it and leave the lock and keys until this morning at approximately 6:30 am. I received a call from Public Storage this morning saying since it is the 1st of the month I will have to pay an entire months worth of rent since I had not taken the lock off and returned the keys yesterday AND had I given them a heads up this would not have happened! I did call yesterday!! Charging people a whole months worth of rent for bringing the keys back on the 1st is ridiculous and very poor business practice! What ever happened to pro rating, you don't charge people a full months rent when they move in on the 10th or 15th, you pro rate it. I would be happy to pay for 1 days rent on the unit but asking me to pay an entire months rent on an empty unit when the keys were returned on the 1st is RIDICULOUS!!!! Do yourself a favor and DONT rent here!!!!!!!
