What can I say?! Had another fantastic experience with Prince Movers this weekend! They packed all of our stuff Friday and moved us today from Ashburn to Manassas, and everything went beautifully! For starters, Karey in the office is great! She really stays on top of everything and responds very quickly every time! The team this weekend were such a great group of guys who worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully to make everything go smoothly. They checked with me and followed my requests for packing, labeled everything and kept things organized. Max was the team leader who was extremely customer service oriented and made sure everything was the way we wanted. They then moved us today with extra helping hands. It started raining, sleeping and hailing in the middle of unloading and they never skipped a beat! Very professional with no complaints. Everyone had a positive attitude. We have started unpacking and are finding that everything was carefully boxed up but not overboard with extra unnecessary packaging. Each box was put in the correct room and labeled accordingly. We really cannot speak more highly of this group and company. Their prices are extremely reasonable and competitive. Interstate charged us so much more a few years ago. Ok, FOR THE RECORD I'M RATING THIS PLACE A 4.5! Since Yelp doesn't give half points, it will just have to be a 4. I just can't give a perfect 5... I reached out to Prince for a house move recently and they were really good. I ordered a team of 3 guys and they came in ready to roll. They were early and prompt which I loved because who wants to wait around all day. They placed a long rug down to protect the floors when moving around the houses. When going through the doors, the slow-walked the furniture out of the house to ensure that there was no major damage. My reasoning for the .5 knockoff was that one of the movers left a small gash in the wall when coming down the stairs. It wasn't too bad, but it was something that I had to patch up. Nothing to go crazy over but any damage could be the difference between getting a security deposit back or not. The guys did a great job and I would definitely recommend them for moving. read more

The 3 star review is for the estimate that I received ($855) vs. the actual cost (over $2,500). I figured the initial estimate was low and doubled it, but I NEVER imagined it would be 3 times the estimate. And that was with a friend and me pitching in to unload things from the truck at the destination! The company needs a better formula for calculating estimates. I provided as much information as I could and even stressed the amount of stuff that I had and that it all needed to be packed and moved. Excellent movers - no ifs not buts Came ontime, did not waste a single min, super efficient by picking up multiple boxes using helper ropes, drove very efficiently between both the houses. I had a super heavy fridge which they had to be moved from a house with several steps to another house with several steps. At the new place they had to swap it out and then move the old fridge again to a basement. Without any fuss they handled this super efficiently!! Are they the cheapest quote? 100% no but for the value they provide they outshine all the moving companies I have used in the 10 plus moves I have done over the last several years. However, we just had a little incident with one of our furniture pieces, and I contacted Jonathan who responded immediately and sent someone to help fix it. I had sent the message last night and the issue was resolved by 10am. This just reaffirmed the fact that Prince Movers' customer service is top tier and I realized it was about time for the 5 star review. The gentlemen that helped us move worked so hard, and were so friendly. Towards the end of the day we were chatting and making jokes - it was just a really positive experience overall. They were super efficient and fast. They arrived in the afternoon and left towards the evening and moved about 90% of our stuff (the 10% was just stuff we were not ready to move). Today, a 3-man crew (Marvin, OscarV and Joel) from Prince Movers completed our local/interstate move from Virginia to Maryland. The crew was very punctual, arriving to our gate right at 10:00am. They were professional, friendly, efficient and honest. Even with a ~50min travel time between the two locations, Marvin's crew was done within 3hrs 15min. They disassembled, shrink wrapped, padded furniture with blankets, moved, and reassembled everything so quickly. It was evident that they were moving as swiftly as possible and not intentionally going slow to extend the time (and pay). The rate was very reasonable ($170/hr) plus a flat $170 service fee (to account for their travel time and materials). There was a nominal 3.5% charge to pay with a card. Prince Movers...what a great experience! I have moved a lot in my years, but this was definitely one of the easiest, cleanest, and best moves I have had. They arrived promptly at 8am and although it took way longer than I expected, I have no complaints. There was nothing broken, everything was inspected very carefully during the move, and nothing was placed in the wrong room or area. I have had experiences where box labels weren't paid attention to and sorting was a drag, but I really just have to unpack everything and worry about nothing else. I called four different moving companies to get quotes for my move from my apartment to storage. Prince Movers responded the quickest, however that wasn't the primary reason for choosing them, though it was nice to get such a quick response. I ended up going with this company because while their rates were similar to other bids, they did not charge for the little extras. Many of the moving companies charged a flat hourly rate, but then things like wrapping furniture were extra. I was concerned about being nickel and dimed and not knowing what the final price would be until the move was already completed. In this case, I knew what the hourly rate was and so I felt more comfortable because that was the only number I had to worry about. I chose two movers instead of three. I thought this would save me money, and although I loved the two guys who came, had I to do it again, I probably would have gone with the three as I think it would have been completed a little faster and in the end, I would have saved money. That is not a negative on this company in any way, I simply mean it's a suggestion for you to do the math and see which way works best. I was able to explain how I wanted to have the larger pieces of furniture loaded last so that would go into the storage first. They were very easy to work with and communication was great. I felt very confident that my furniture was going to be well taken care of. I also thought that when they got to the storage facility, I would have to be the one to arrange it. But nope! They somehow made a 9x10 space feel huge, because there is still plenty of space left over. Another detail I noticed was that with the pieces of furniture they stood up (ie, I requested the stand the couch up on its side to create more space), they also taped to the wall or other objects to make sure nothing would fall over. They fully wrapped my couch. I didn't realize they would do that either. I had actually bought bags to cover it, but the wrapping was so good, I didn't use them. Ultimately, they were courteous, punctual, efficient, careful with my furniture, and very professional. Everything you can ask for from a moving company. I believe the name of one my movers was Francisco. He was awesome! When I get back to the DMV and move my stuff out of storage, I'll definitely call back Prince Movers to move me into my next place.
