Go to the better Buiness Bureau website and you''ll see lots of complaints. We, too, had a very bad experience. They put a hole in my wall, pulled moldings off of the entryway and broke a very expensive corbel on the front of the house. I've been chasing them for about a month and the supervisor (Eugene) has been giving me the run-around. I would advise that you not even consider using this company. Eugene says that his crew denies doing any of the damage. If the supervisor can't trust his crew to be honest with him, how can you trust the company to be honest with you? We've used Atlantic for our last four moves (all into gradually larger apartments) and have had great experiences each time. The movers are always on time, carefully wrap fragile furniture (free of additional charge!) and move everything quickly and efficiently. Perhaps most importantly in this age of "service fees," they are incredibly transparent about their pricing and are generally within range of their quoted estimate. Pro tip: you should let them know if you end up with more boxes than you originally anticipated so that they can add a larger truck and/or another man. Through absolutely no fault of theirs, the addition of five-ten large boxes over our estimate made the loading process a bit of a challenge this time around. Sorry guys! Stop reading reviews and use these guys! I reviewed dozens of moving companies before going with Atlantic movers. Igor was responsive to my messages and gave me the best quote. I went with them because of their reviews, and here I am to give them another 5 stars. I moved from the third floor of a 2100 sqft apartment with NO elevator. I was worried when I only saw 2 men because when I moved into the apartment, it took 3 men well over 6 hours. Igor and Constantine did it under 4! And part of that was waiting for a guy to move out of the loading dock area (to which Igor and his crew did not get upset about and were patient and kind). They were polite, quick, and efficient. They wrapped my furniture up and everything was in perfect condition when it arrived. I will always come to Igor if ever move again. And I will recommend them to anyone who asks. Igor's company moved me from DC to Miami 2 years ago and they were wonderful. Very thorough and patient. They did a site visit so they knew exactly what they were moving and quoted a fair price. Took them all day, probably close to 12 hours to move our stuff out and a similar amount to time to move our stuff into our new place in Miami. No complaints from them the entire time. Igor and his team were very responsive to all my questions and arrived earlier than expected on the moving day. They helped pack-up what was left in the house into the remaining boxes. They were quick, efficient, and friendly and got the job done. We made a stop on the way to the ultimate destination to pick up some more furniture and I wasn't charged extra. They scan my wife had a $3695 for a pre-payment and we never use their service. Because the broker told us that this move to Tennessee from Venice Florida would be no more than $8000. When the movers came they re-calculated our move at $14,000. Needless to say my wife and then knew she had been scammed. And had a meltdown like I have never seen before. We picked Atlantic Movers for our move because while they are clearly a small company run by just Igor from his cell phone, I was impressed by the fact that they didn't have a single review out of the 30 or so in their Yelp profile that wasn't 5 stars... that NEVER happens. I don't regret that decision for a second. Our 3 person moving crew led by Constantine was a bit late to the job (20-30 minutes), but Igor answered my phone call right about 15 minutes into the wait to let me know they were on their way. They unloaded our jam-packed 16' pod into our row house with 9 narrow steps and two 90 degree turns leading into it in less than 1.5 hrs and it didn't feel like they were rushing one bit... in fact... I felt they respected our belongings and took great care with them. We used a bit more of our 3 hour minimum to have them move our stuff around our 3 story rowhouse, including up an outdoor spiral staircase to the roof deck, but at about 2.5 hrs, we honestly ran out of stuff for them to do... they were that efficient and did all the work with a positive, courteous attitude. The crew was friendly, yet professional, paused for a brief thunderstorm so that our stuff didn't get soaked, and took appropriate breaks to hydrate and stay sharp instead of rushing through the move and potentially making a mistake from fatigue. I won't even call around next time I need a mover in the DMV area... Igor and his teams will be my first choice. read more

Fantastic movers!! Absolutely wonderful!! I shopped for almost a month looking for movers for my mom. We had her things in a large storage unit that needed to be moved to her new place 30 minutes away. I put in an online quote request and Igor called me back the same day... it was a Sunday! Very impressive. I took some time to think over the price quote. I even called around to other places and read so many reviews that I lost count. Hands down... Atlantic Movers had the best pricing and most positive reviews in the area. I called. We confirmed. They showed up! On time. And ready to start. None of that lulling around. I didn't ask for padding, since everything was already packed. To my surprise (based on past experiences) Igor didn't try to force me to buy anything extra that I didn't need or want. Thank goodness! They made sure to point out anything that was dirty or damaged before they put it in the truck. I must say, I was skeptical that they would be able to pack all of the items in that truck... but once again, to my surprise, they fit everything in there... with room to spare! Wow! Amazing! We hired Atlantic Movers to move our 2 bedroom apartment from McLean VA to Hartford CT in December 2018. From start to finish, Igor and his crew provided excellent, and cost effective services. Igor and his crew arrived on-time on the day of move. Truthfully, I was concerned when I saw only two movers including Igor. Soon I realized how efficient they moved. In about two hours, everything was loaded to the truck. "We will see you in CT around 5pm" said Igor. Because we were donating our sofa to Salvation Army, they may not come pick it up until early afternoon. Igor was accommodating to our schedule and open to deliver next day. An hour later, Salvation Army picked up our sofa, and we were back to our original schedule. Our new place is on 3rd floor without elevator so unloading was more labor intensive. Since I haven't hit the gym in the past week, I picked up some boxes to speed up the process. Nothing was damaged in this 350 miles move (that was a first since we always lost something in the move). This was my first time using movers and it was a terrible experience. First, I will never use moving broker ever again They are basically useless middlemen. I paid $1800 to move 10 boxes, a chair and a metal bakers rack and a total gym. I gave them the list of all my stuff,including a total gym unit. They assured me that all of that would fit in a 300 cu ft area. When the movers came to pick up, they told me the total gym would not fit and if I wanted to include it, it would cost me an extra $400. I refused to pay MORE. The driver tells me that my stuff would be delivered in 2-3 days. I did not get my stuff delivered until a month later. Atlantic told me that they have no control over when the movers deliver. However, they did inform that they have 30 business days to deliver. They delivered in 25 business days. Horrible experience. Deal with movers directly , don't t use a moving broker. read more
