I would highly recommend this company. The gentlemen (whom I believe is the owner) was very good at communicating with me. He came the same day to do an in home estimate and the next day, moved my stuff. I told him I wanted this move done as soon as possible. My husband was out of town and I have a 15 month old, & 30 weeks pregnant. They charged me roughly $500 less then what other companies were offering for my move. The guys were all friendly and efficient. I am military so it's mandatory I provide weight tickets. although this isn't normally something they do, the owner was kind enough to go out of his way to provide them for me. (The closest weigh station is about 45 minutes from me, one way). I will definitely be using this company again in the future and I will be recommending this company to my friends. read more

There's a reason why this company has five stars and they proved that today yet again. I had A LOT of items to move out of a one bedroom condo and into another spot that was on the third floor (with no elevator). Many of the items that I had were heavy furniture items and it seemed like today would be a long day when I woke up and looked at everything. These guys got here on time and immediately started hustling to get stuff moved and packed into the truck. Within an hour over half of the FULL apartment was packed into the truck. They finished in just under 3.5 hours (including travel time to the new place). Everything was straightforward. They wrapped my big screen tv and even provided a large box to put my remaining loose items into. Lastly, they were professional. That's goes a long way with me. I will be using them on my next move for sure. I feel like a moving company with more people would have taken longer than these two took. I could not be more happy with Atlantic Movers. They were fantastic from start to finish. Igor came out to do the estimate. He was prompt and polite and gave a reasonable flat-rate for a big, complicated move. The day of the move Igor arrived with two trucks and two other guys. Igor is super responsive via email. I needed to move within a small window and Igor confirmed everything through email and his team arrived a little early but on time during moving day. there were 3 guys for a small 1-bedroom apartment and it took them about 4 hours to move to Virginia. you can't beat his prices anywhere and they handled all the furniture very well. I was running late meeting up with them at the new place but Igor took the initiative to go to the front desk and figure out where he needed to be. my apartment was already open so they were already moving stuff in before I even got there. how awesome is that! he didn't even slow down or anything to get more money. very honest and hard working. no other fees or hidden costs from what he quoted me in the first email. will definitely use again. Stop searching for a moving company and hire this one! After extensive (really, months-long!) research, I found one company that met my safety, reliability, and trustworthiness criteria. That was Atlantic Movers, and I hired them to move me from MD to NH. They were always fast to respond, whether I emailed or called. They asked what I was moving, sent me a quote, and that's what they charged me. No sudden price increases, no holding my stuff until I agreed to pay more, no shady dealings. They were upfront and honest. Equally important, they were incredibly efficient and effective. They said they'd be at my house at 8am on move day and at the new place in NH at 9am the next morning, and that's when they showed up. They were so careful loading my stuff, but were done so quickly! And every thing was offloaded with as much care and speed. Nothing was damaged. Not my furniture, not my packed goods (I did the packing, so if things had broken, that would have been on me to some degree, but nothing did!!), and not the apartment I moved out of or the one I moved into. These guys are fantastic. I had a long-distance move scheduled from Jacksonville, FL to Rockville. Their truck broke down the day they were supposed to make the 11-hour drive down to Florida. But instead of making me reschedule or bailing on me, these guys hopped on a flight, rented a truck, and showed up exactly when they were supposed to. Igor and Vladimir were all-business, but friendly and polite too. Plus they beat the competition hands down on price. So after having a great experience with these movers the last time I moved, I thought I would hire them again for an upcoming move. Their price point doubled and they refused to negotiate. I was able to get new movers with just as high of a rating for $75 less than their quote. It's unfortunate that they were so uncooperative, because I really wanted to use them again, but their prices are just not competitive. I have referred multiple friends and wrote a previous positive Yelp review, but unfortunately, I will no longer refer them or use their services. read more

I used Atlantic Movers on August 31, 2015 to move from an apartment in Germantown MD to Frederick MD. I called a few weeks in advanced to set up my moving date and time. What I liked off that top was their rate , which was $70/ hr. The rate was the cheapest around. Yes I know I was taking a gamble because cheap is not always better but in this case it worked out absolutely fine. I also liked the fact that they are always available and they always answer their phone. I always like to have confirmation so I emailed them after I got off the phone with an inventory of my things, the price that we quoted , time and date . They came 9 am on the dot and worked like machines. We had 2 men assigned to us they really worked their butts off and got us moved in with travel time included in 3 hours. 3 freaking hours!!!! That's amazing. Everything made it through the move without breaking and they did not scratch up my new walls. They do not try to milk the clock at all. It was like I blinked they were here, then I blinked again and they were gone. We tipped our men because we were totally satisfied. I would totally recommend and use this company again. Short version: Truly excellent. Hands down, these guys are going to be my go-to company for all of my future moves. Long version: As you can tell by my profile, I typically don't do reviews. However, after today's experience with Atlantic Movers, I think I'll make an exception for Igor and his team. (I'm bad with names so I don't recall the names of the two other guys, so I'll refer to them collectively as Igor, Igor and his team, or Atlantic Movers.) We reached out to a few companies a few days ago, and they were the first to respond. Their rates are LOW, but at first, we weren't sure since we didn't want to add additional stress to our day just to save cash. However, after reading the prior reviews, we decided to give them a shot and we are really glad that we did. Our start time was scheduled for 8:30 this morning, but Igor and his team came early...and that's after they were stuck in trafffic. They came up, took quick inventory, and they started moving. By moving, I mean good, old fashioned moving. I've found that with previous companies, some go for efficiency, by using an "assembly-line" strategy, with one or two guys specializing in one station (e.g., packing, moving things into elevators, packing into truck, etc). I used to think that these assembly lines were the fastest strategy, but after seeing Igor's team, I was seriously surprised. Not only did they move incredibly quickly, they were careful and aware of their surroundings so as to not damage anything. We started at around 8:30am, and finished at 1pm, so it took roughly 4.5 hours. That's including the 1 hour travel time from Baltimore to Northern Virginia near DC, and the additional 1 hour that my girlfriend and I needed to clean the apartment so that we wouldn't have to drive back up to do that (we felt bad that we were causing the delay, so we told them that we would leave in an hour and meet them there, and that we would treat that hour as billable). We met up with them at our new place at 12 and found that they had already spoken with the leasing office, learned where they needed to go, and were beginning to unload by the loading dock. We are so surprised and appreciative that they took it upon themselves to figure out the next step. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that most other moving companies would milk the time and charge more - not Igor. As quickly and as smoothly as the first half, these guys seemingly effortlessly moved our things into our new apartment. At the end when we received the invoice, there no were surprises. As I'm finishing up my first review, I'm realizing how much I've written so far. If you've read up to this point, I'm guessing that you're either in the market for an upcoming move, or you're really bored. If you've got a move coming up, I really hope you consider Atlantic Movers. These guys deserve much more recognition than I think is out there. They are a professional and hardworking group of guys who won't charge any hidden fees or any crazy amounts that will force you to pay through the nose. If you're just bored, I'd personally go watch Netflix, but I highly encourage you to try out this company for any of your future moves. Timeliness, professionalism, and transparency seems to be hard to come by in this line of work, but Igor and his team have got all three. Combine that with the low rates and how quickly they can get you from A to B, I honestly don't think that there's a better company out there than Atlantic Movers. read more

Very good deal for the low cost. We have moved twice this year -- the previous time from out of state, using one moving company to load our Penske and then another company here in town to unload -- so I've seen a few companies work. They were on time, careful, and didn't scratch a thing at the new house. They got our stuff in a much smaller space than I thought possible; it must be some kind of magical clown-car-moving-truck. They did delay our move a couple days because it was pouring rain and our apartment complex was very muddy, but that's not their fault, and honestly it shows they respect us enough to not simply deliver a bunch of wet, muddy furniture to our new place. Bought a new house last December and called all the highly rated movers around Rockville MD, including Atlantic movers, for an estimate. The owner, Igor, came by 15 mins after my call, went through my house, and gave me a quote, which is the most competitive estimate I got. Of note, Igor gave me one firm quote for moving my home unlike that most of the movers charge you for the hours. And I really love it because it is straightforward with no surprise later on. We were not able to move until the end of this January. Very happy that Igor still honored his quote from last December and he and his guys provided an excellent moving experience for us. On the moving day, they came on time and started working immediately. They took no break and were very fast and efficient.
