Excellent experience with these guys. Very friendly, efficient and careful. Great value. Moved from townhome into single family and picked up 40 boxes from a storage unit. Dago, David & Caesar were easy to work with. I highly recommend Global Moving. read more

Eygene, the owner, reached out to us, made an effort to find the missing box, and offered a fair resolution. We are happy with the professionalism with the company and the efforts the owner went through to correct the issues. read more

Global Moving Systems had horrible communication throughout the moving process. I moved across the country and was not told when my items would be delivered until a few hours beforehand the day of leaving me little time to run to the bank after being told I could not pay via credit card. I asked the man on the phone how much I owed and was told an amount. Movers arrived and demanded $400 additional dollars then what I was told on the phone leaving me to run to the atm or else they would not unload my furniture. Once the movers unloaded they realized a large portion of my couch was missing. I am now left to scramble to try to figure out how to get the remaining section of my couch. I do not recommend. read more

Global Moving Systems - Movers Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

I recently hired Global Moving Systems for a local move from Silver Spring, MD to Washington, DC and could not be happier with my experience! I found them using Yelp's Request a Quote and their pricing beat the four other companies I spoke to. They were up front with costs and provided clear communications about everything in regards to our move on their online quote system. They arrived on time with everything required for the move and took care of everything in a timely fashion. The two movers they sent over were complete professionals and made this process super easy for us. Can't recommend enough! read more

Rush and Nagii were phonemical. They promised to complete my move from VA to NJ and they delivered. They made sure they wrapped all the furniture and glass tables so no breakage. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a team that works very hard! I was so impressed how quickly they got all the boxes upstairs so quickly. They were on time to the departing destination and ahead of schedule to the final destination. Definitely a team I would reach out to in the future. read more

Moving from Loudoun County, VA to Richmond, VA we were overwhelmed with all of the moving options. Global moving systems was transparent and flexible (we changed our move date two weeks before the move) and the moving team (Dago, Alex and David) did an exceptional job. All items were moved quickly and safely and no damage was done to either the walls of our homes and all items arrived and were unpacked in damaged. I could not recommend this company and our specific moving team enough. We will definitely be using them for all future moves and recommending them to all of our family and friends in the area. read more

I needed a company to take some furniture and several boxes to my daughter's house. She lives in Baltimore in a neighborhood and on a street that are not easy to find. The three young men were in and out of our house in a very short period; obviously, they wasted no time at all. They had no difficulty locating our daughter's house, finding a parking space on her very narrow street, and unloading her things. The price was reasonable, and I recommend Global Moving Systems highly. read more

I spent almost 10,000 with these movers. We packed most of the house, but somehow I still spent $1000 on their boxes. They didn't break it destroy many items so that is definitely a plus, but I would definitely not recommend them. They gouge prices for sure, they gave me a quote of about $3000 but my move was $9,899. read more

They were on time and responsive till the end of the move. This was my first time hiring movers and I wasn't disappointed. I'd highly recommend their services. read more

WOW!!! Amazing service, value, and work. I was being very picky with what moving service I was going to go with for the movement of a peloton treadmill that I was purchasing. I've had a horrible experience where a company messed up a treadmill delivery, and the incline broke during the move. Using global moving systems was a totally different experience! They were very communicative, friendly, and did everything they could to make sure that I was satisfied. I asked them to make sure that they felt comfortable disassembling and reassembling the treadmill and they made sure to use the peloton instructions and disassemble it with care. They were a great value too (quoting $200 less than other fitness movers in the DMV!) Would definitely recommend and use them again! read more

I highly recommend Global Moving Services. We decided to use them after receiving several other quotes and reading so many positive reviews.  Right from the start, Yuriy was very responsive and answered all my my questions.  He was upfront about costs and sent a quote after our short phone call. When I requested he see my home to ensure the quote was accurate, we arranged a FaceTime call so he could readjust the quote if necessary.  Yuriy is definitely an expert mover as his original quote was spot on! The company's online system is great - we received reminder emails about the upcoming move as it got closer. The packers were scheduled to arrive between 8-10am, same for the movers.  Both days I received a call at 0730 with an ETA of 0800, and both days they arrived on time.   Nagi and his team did an outstanding job! There were 3 packers on day 1 and they worked non-stop!  Nagi, "Big" Nagi, and Camilla were friendly, super efficient and thorough about protecting our furniture and delicate items as they packed up our 2600 sq ft townhouse in Alexandria.  We moved into a single family home in Falls Church, about 10 minutes away.  Our 5-person move team included our 3 packers from the day before, plus Vladimir and Dago. Everyone loaded and unloaded everything quickly (and in one day!) making sure to ask where things should go...and then relocating without complaints when I changed my mind! Overall it was a great experience from start to finish and I highly recommend Global Moving Systems for your moving needs. read more

I will start off by saying that I am very stringent with my reviews and giving a five star review is an exception for me. This should tell how much I appreciated their moving services. Nagi and his crew helped us move interstate from Virginia to Michigan which is closer to 700 miles. They arrived for move on time and were highly professional and efficient in packing my items. They marked labels on all my boxes and provided me a copy of all the inventory and shipping items with the associated service charges. The crew was humble and polite. They were able to pack all my items in less than three hours which was a big win considering we had a lot of heavy and fragile items. Nagi coordinated the entire move very well and was always listening to our needs and instructions. Once packed, they were able to move my stuff within one business day to Michigan. Nagi and his crew arrived on time on the destination and professionally assembled and unloaded all my items within two hours. This experience left me with a big smile. Another special mention to Eugene who was the sales manager and he communicated directly with me regarding payment and was flexible with different modes of payment. I preferred online and he complied which was also highly appreciated. In the end, I will close by saying that I personally highly recommend Global Moving Systems for any move / storage needs around Virginia. They are professional and efficient movers with reasonable prices in the area. Interstate moves are stressful and knowing that you are in the hands of professionals definitely helps with peace of mind. P.S. If I ever decide to come back to Virginia, you know who will be coordinating my move :) read more

Updating review: The owner called me and personally apologized and offered to reimburse me $100 for the additional hour of labor. He truly cared that I was satisfied with choosing his company and I really appreciate the customer service. This company was ok. I gave them info about the size of my apartment and list of items and they quoted me a certain sized truck and time. All of my stuff didn't fit in the truck, which I understand they can't predict exactly, but I was hoping they would know what size truck would be needed based on moving experience. They also came at 10:30 when my arrive time was scheduled to be 9-10. They called ahead to let me know, but was still stressful because I had a time window for my loading dock reservation with the building. read more

One year ago, they helped me to move from the house to the apartment and this time they helped me moving back! I was pregnant and now I am back with my baby^^! Time flies but they are as efficient as before. Enkhe & Dagoberto helped me!! Enkhe even still remembered all the moving details about last time. He has good memories. I really appreciated the help!!! They are very good!! read more

I received a phone call and a check for the cost to replace my TV. I appreciate the effort to cover some of the damage caused by the move.

Fantastic company! Fast and professional communication, movers were extremely timely and efficient, price was very much in line with my expectations and the service they provided. No damages to my furniture nor any issues whatsoever. Would recommend anyone to use this company! read more

I called multiple moving companies before deciding on this one. Their high ratings and low hourly rate is what convinced me to go with them. And I am very glad I did. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone for a local move. For the Saturday that we were moving, they had a 3 hour minimum and a 1 hour travel fee. Their 16' truck and their 2 movers were all we needed to move everything out of our 1 bedroom apartment. Kuba and Bakha, our two movers, were on time and got to work right away. They were careful with our things and moved at a good pace. We had everything already packed and ready to move. All we needed help with was loading and unloading. We didn't need anything disassembled but they do help with that. It took them a total of 3 hours to load our stuff into their truck, drive to our new place, and unload everything. Before our scheduled move I had several questions that I sent via email. Evgeny and Anna were quick to respond and answered my questions thoroughly. It was very easy to get a quote through their website and make a reservation. When I wanted to confirm the information that I was being quoted online, I was able to talk to someone over the phone about it and nothing was different. It was straightforward pricing. There was a $50 deposit due to reserve our move that we paid via credit card (the money counted towards the 3 hour minimum). You have the option to pay the rest on the day of your move via credit card or cash. Since by credit card there would have been an additional fee (4-6%), we paid cash. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish. read more

Global Moving Systems not only met but exceeded our expectations. They called letting us know their arrival time and arrived right on time as scheduled. Enkhe, Kamilla, and Big Nagi we're great! They were fast and efficient. Enkhe notified us of any furniture that had scratches or tears prior to packing and loading. They also fixed a few of our pieces that they found needed some attention. Very friendly and warm. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. I would also use them again in the future! read more

Dago and David were great! They were on time, friendly, and very careful with my things. The move was quick and stress-free with no issues plus the rate they offered was better than other moving companies I contacted. I would definitely use Global Moving Systems again. Thank you! read more

Want to reduce the headache of your move? Hire this moving service! I was so pleased with my moving crew and the work that they did. They were prompt and courteous right from the start. They wrapped our delicate items with care and skill. They asked for clarification when needed which was greatly appreciated but also they did not need a ton of guidance, just the right amount! One of the guys even fixed an issue we'd been having with our screen door, only took a minute but it was the thoughtfulness of it. Would highly recommend this moving service. read more

Bill, Andrew and Donato were very helpful for our move last month. Very professional, efficient and always making sure everything was handled carefully and properly. I used Global Moving Systems to move from DC to another state on the East Coast a few months ago. Their online platform provided transparency into the quotes and what to expect the day of the move. My movers Enkhe and Big Nagi were absolutely amazing. They arrived on time and were very patient as I wrapped up the last bit of packing. Moreover, my train was delayed, such that Enkhe and Big Nagi arrived at my new place half an hour before I did. I coordinated with my superintendent to open the door for them, and they started moving in my stuff before I arrived. Thank you for making a very stressful day seamless and for truly caring about your customers. read more

I had a great experience with this moving company from the moment I inquired to the day I actually moved. Very efficient and professional. I've moved 4 times in the last 6 years and know that a moving company can really make or break your moving experience. Global Moving Systems has definitely exceeded my expectations. On the day of, I had Rush and Ever assist with my move and they were fast, professional, and considerate of my requests. I will definitely use this company again for my future moves. read more

Pros: I was glad to be able to organize a move on short notice with this company when many other companies were booked. The company is transparent about its fees, even if some are exorbitant (see below). The company was responsive to my complaints (see below). Cons: Movers were totally unprofessional. They did not speak English well and did not follow instructions. One of my items was missing for several days after the move. I called the mover about it several times and he never responded. I later discovered it in my building's trash room! Company covers only $.60 per pound, so no incentive not to lose or damage things. There were some exorbitant charges. Company charges $100 for packing paper. They charged me $70 for packing tape. They charge $8 for a "picture box," but this is only one quarter of a box, so you're really paying $32 per picture. Company charges 6% fee to use debit card and does not accept checks. I brought a large amount of cash, but since this move came in way over budget it was all a waste and I paid $88 processing fee. Company could not tell me why they charge a 6% fee. I appreciate that the company made an adjustment to some of my charges based on the many issues I experienced. But I can't say it was a positive moving experience. read more

I find that the most stressful part of moving isn't packing nor unpacking, but rather it's finding the right movers to do the job. Moving companies often outsource their people so one person might have had a great experience with their guys but that doesn't mean you will get the same people. The only thing you can do for yourself is clearly communicate your budget and expectation for your move. The rest is really a little bit of luck and ensuring that the company you hire has insurance, and professional owners/managers. Since I've moved 4 times in the past 6 years, including cross country, let's just say I've become somewhat knowledgeable and know what to expect from good movers. I spent a week looking through all the diff options on Yelp. Reached out to about 6 companies for quotes and ended up booking Global Moving Systems. I exchanged messages with their owner on yelp and once I confirmed that I will book them, someone from their office reached out to me the very next day to confirm details. After the phone call, I received an email with a link to put down my deposit. It was fast, simple, and convenient to book them. My movers arrived on time, knew what they were doing, and they went straight to work without wasting any time. My bigger pieces of furniture were carefully wrapped and they disassembled my bed frame as well as the brass legs to my sofa to avoid denting them. Once we got to my new home they were just as efficient in moving my items in. Stacked up my boxes nicely and asked me where I wanted each item of furniture. They even helped me put up my curtains and ensure my rug and rug padding were straight and aligned in my living room. As I am unpacking and settling in, I did notice a small scratch on my tv stand and one on my bed frame. They are not big enough for me to be concerned about. If you're going to move, just expect to have some flaws from wear and tear. Overall, the move went as efficiently and smoothly as it can be. I'm very happy with them and would definitely use them again. read more

Azamat and David were great help in moving my 1BD out of DC into Arlington! They arrived on time, worked quickly, and were easy to talk to and work with. I also really appreciated the order detail page on their site that I could use to review the move and message Andy about questions for my move. I think it was my most stress-free move. Would definitely work them again. read more

I have moved around 7 times in the past 10 years and always had a bad experience. After searching forever I decided to go with Global Moving systems. This may have been the best decision of my life! I don't know where to begin. Since it is annoying to read several paragraphs I am going to pinpoint the highlights (I'm not a big reader) :) - The crew may be the nicest people on the planet. Eugene and crew are just kind people, which is hard to find around DC sometimes - They move super fast. They cleared out a pretty good sized one bedroom in 1 and and half hours AND we got kicked out of the loading zone for around 30 minutes since someone took the loading dock I reserved. You may think "oh that is too fast. They probably broke some stuff." Nope. Not one thing was scratched. AND they were walking the furniture down the road to not lose time after getting kicked out. - Extremely well priced - Usually I try to help movers during the process but I hurt my lower back. Eugene overheard me say that so when I asked him to help me move an extremely heavy piece, he did it himself and acknowledged I hurt my back. Long story short, I would give this company 10 stars out of 5 if I could. I never write reviews, but I felt the need to write one for Global Moving Systems. It is not everyday you find a moving company so awesome. If you are moving I highly suggest you get this company. You will thank me later :) read more

Our movers, Rush and Enhe, were incredibly helpful. Not only did they get all of our stuff moved over quickly and safely, they also helped with the reassembly of some of the more complicated pieces of furniture once we were in our new home. I appreciated how they were looking out for our best interests and on many occasions made suggestions on how to better pack more fragile items. We had an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend them. read more

Such a great moving company. Global Moving Systems made moving so easy and absolutely no hassle. Bynan and another mover were an absolute pleasure to work with. From the scheduling to finishing the move, GMS was a pleasure to work with. They are professional, clear, courteous, and diligent. When scheduling, GMS was prompt and helped me with some last minute changes (bigger truck, bigger crew, different time) and really put my mind at ease that everything would be taken care of. They also have an easy-to-navigate online scheduling system and automated emails to make it clear that everything about your scheduled move is in place. During the move itself, Bakha (sorry if I misspelled...) and crew were very professional and took extra care with wrapping, moving, and securing our belongings. Everything also moved quickly and we were finished ahead of when I had hoped. On top of all of the great service, the price was also transparent and fair. I'll recommend GMS to friends and definitely use again. One tip for GMS --- get new iPads! The check-in and check-out process was slow (but I did appreciate that you had the iPads available for easy signing and payment). read more

This was my first distance move having any sort of furniture, and Global Moving Systems did a great job - especially for someone moving no more (and likely less) than a studio's worth of stuff. Anna in the office was pretty responsive, and was very helpful answering all of my questions. Leading up to moving day, I was feeling pretty good. The actual day got off to a little bit of a rocky start, given that we had agreed on an arrival time of 7-8am, and I got a call at 7:30 that they were only just leaving and wouldn't be at my place for another 45 minutes. Given that I was doing a long distance move with a strict cutoff time in my new building, I was a little frustrated. However, once Rush and Vladimir arrived, they packed up my items very quickly and even help properly pack my fragile items like my TV and mirror. Due to traffic issues, the moving truck beat me to my new place. Rush and Vladimir were really great and didn't complain about the wait at all. Once we got there, they were quick to unload and bring everything into my new place. They even helped take the couch that I had pre-ordered to my new apartment up from the lobby to my unit, which they absolutely didn't have to do since it wasn't part of my original move. My only cons were that Rush did speed through the signature process, and that neither of them wore masks at any point (I'm vaccinated, so it wasn't a huge deal, but it didn't even look like they had them available if needed). However, in the grand scheme of the rest of the move, these weren't dealbreakers by any means. I would definitely recommend GMS to others! read more

These movers were great! They helped me move out of my 1-bedroom apartment and it was definitely a stressful day. They showed up on time in the morning and were ready to go. Rush and his crew did an amazing job! Grateful to have them as my movers (3 movers total). They called in advance to notify they were on their way and asked if any help with packaging was needed. I was very impressed at the commutation between the 3 movers and how quickly they moved. Will definitely use the company and Rush's crew again! read more
