The team consisted of four movers who, upon arrival, walked through the premises to fully understand the scope of the job before getting started. They listened carefully and worked with precision and determination to ensure our move went smoothly. Every member of the team treated us with respect and inspired confidence in their work. They didn't allow me to lift a single thing -- not even a trash bag I had put together. I am so impressed that I can't wait to tell my friends, and I'm sure my husband will be recommending them to his coworkers as well. The movers even offered helpful advice on furniture placement, which made perfect sense after careful consideration. We have purchased our forever home, but if you are looking for a reliable, affordable, and professional moving crew, I highly recommend giving EZ Moving and Storage a call. Mr. Petro reviewed my inventory list, calculated the distance from point A to point B, and provided a more-than-fair quote with no added charges. The price he quoted was exactly what we paid. His team of two movers got everything down to the truck speedily, while Abba carefully wrapped up all of my larger and more valuable items. They made it to the new location pretty quickly, and also unpacked carefully and quickly. They had me inspect the truck once they were done just to ensure all of my belongings were out, and took care of the bill, which was exactly the rate we had agreed upon during scheduling. We also told them ahead of time we're in a townhouse with 3 flights of stairs and all the main furniture we needed to move (we did all the small and fragile items ourselves since we're moving 25 mins away). No lamps or dishes or decor. Literally boxes and furniture that was too heavy for us. We moved from a 1600sqft townhouse with 3 rooms.. I don't understand.l how this was such an insurmountable task. They spent 4 hours just in our 2 upstairs bedrooms which included standard items (king bed, 2 side tables, wardrobe, small dresser, daybed and 2 unassembled cribs) a lot of which we had shrink wrapped ourselves. They stood around wondering what the best way to get things downstairs was so my husband who was very frustrated by their pace just started doing it himself and exhausting himself which was why we hired them in the first place. 4 grown men who's job it is to move things should know how to do this. Our property isn't unique for Nova so I'm not sure where the confusion came from. We have 2 small kids and did a lot of the work to get things done for them but somehow these guys stretched it to an 11 hour day because gotta make that cash, right?! Then at the end My husband asked them to wait so he could double check if anything big was left and when he noticed they left a whole big tv box on our top level, they were driving away. Didn't even listen to him and had the nerve to say they would charge him for the box if we kept it. What?!! Soo much stuff was left for us after they left and they didn't put a single piece of furniture in the right place at our new house. We said "in the corner" and they put it 2 feet from the corner...moving with kids we have exhausted ourselves beyond belief getting moved and these people made the journey not only expensive but soooo very difficult. We had to go back and move extra thigh and clean for a few hours.. very stressful. Major waste and would absolutely never recommend them. Insane amount of up charges ($400 worth of tape as though they don't buy it in bulk). Never again! Our new house is a tornado of things none of which are in the right place and I'm so upset and overwhelmed. What's hilarious is that they wrapped everything like crazy but still broke a wheel from our fridge and just said "oh". No apologies, no offer to fix it, no we can take off something for you... nothing. Then $3000 later they asked if we wanted to tip on top of this nightmare of an experience...very bold, but the only tip I can offer is "Do better. Much better"

From my initial telephone contact with Karey and our video walk through with Jon I was very impressed. Likewise, I was very pleased with the initial cost estimate that was provided to us. We did our due diligence and obtained two other estimates, both higher than the one from Prince. In fact, one was twice as high. We were a bit concerned about the great disparity. However, having been impressed with Karey and Jon and reading about the fundamental principles of their business we elected to go with Prince. I cannot say enough about the crew that handled our move. They called ahead of time to advise they were on the way - and on time ! Carlo, the team leader, was polite, responsive to our requests, flexible to add on a few things we needed to move, and his supervision of the other three members of the crew : Omar, Jeff and Mario. The care that the entire crew gave to our furniture, including some large, heavy wood pieces with glass shelves and doors, was extraordinary. The move was handled efficiently, effectively and expeditiously. Nothing was damaged ! The crew was great in moving things around to get them in the correct location. We were very pleased ! I have a 15 monitor work station that I am very hesitant about anyone touching let alone moving, but these guys handled it like a breeze, especially during a rainy day on top of everything else. In the past, I have done a few corporate (business) moves and have a high level of expectation from professional movers. Joe Brown exceeded every expectation I had. Moving is usually very stressful for me as I am a perfectionist, but Joe and his men made the entire process incredibly smooth and worry-free. They were extremely professional, and worked quickly without cutting corners. Joe (the owner) was on the property the entire time (as he promised) and he worked alongside his men. What impressed me most was how carefully they handled everything, especially my numerous, VERY heavy and ornate pieces of Victorian furniture. Every piece of furniture and every box was treated like it was their own. They wrapped and protected items properly, loaded everything securely, and they did not damage a single thing during the move. Additionally, the entire team was friendly, extremely respectful, and clearly very experienced. They communicated well with me and with each other as a team, stayed organized, and kept everything moving efficiently from start to finish. They truly care about doing the job correctly and making their customers happy. They moved me into my elderly mother's occupied house (not an easy task) and were also very respectful of her furnishings and her wishes. Joe has a very pleasant and calming demeanor and is very responsive to email and texts during the process. He provided me with a written estimate and a written "will not exceed amount" well ahead of the move and stuck to his estimate. His business style is rather informal compared to the big, interstate van lines, which frankly worried me a little, but there was nothing to be concerned about at all. They snapped a piano leg on the first move and ruined a 2nd on the subsequent move. The piano's finish is also ruined in five or six additional places, requiring a total refinishing. They also broke a mirror and one of two adjustable dumbbells. If you hire them, get the full-on insurance for total replacement value. You are going to need it.

We had a dedicated elevator, yet workers often brought items down only one or two at a time. I also saw team members on their phones or standing around in rooms and hallways instead of actively moving things. These delays added up quickly. The crew also misplaced parts of our bed frame, and the pieces had to be found before it could be reassembled. That alone added nearly an hour to the move. Because the move took much longer than expected, the final cost was significantly higher than the estimate we received. We were also charged based on an arrival time that was recorded as ten minutes earlier than when the crew actually arrived. The team was courteous, but given the inefficiency, added time, and higher final price, we would not use Bookstore Movers again. This is unfortunate, because we had been happy with them in previous moves.

I did end up paying for an additional hour, but it was WORTH it! I would recommend them and I would use them again. The next time I will be more realistic with myself about the time it will take and plan accordingly.

In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!

I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Thank you Josh, Ell and the other extremely kind and helpful maintenance helper that all I can remember is he has been with them for 4 years . I didn't want to get his name wrong. I called and was told I was on the schedule for regular refill two days after the storm. Storm comes with feet of snow. Suburban shows up says they won't deliver because of snow. Ok, that's understandable. Of course, it's why I called in the first place before the storm hit. I get the place plowed and then Suburban wants documentation that the bridge to my property is safe for their truck. This would be the same truck that has been crossing that bridge for the PAST FORTY YEARS! When a truck does show up, it's a driver who has delivered here many times before. He zips right in. When asked about the bridge, he says it's no problem.

If I could give them a minus 5, I certainly would! When Eugene came to my home to give me an estimate, I believed what he said. BOY, WAS I WRONG!! Every part of this move, after making the arrangements was HORRIBLE!!! My move was a long distance move to the state of Washington. When my things arrived, they were DAMAGED HUGELY. The movers put my hutch (both pieces) in the street. Unbeknownst to me, they picked up a rock from the street. When they put the two pieces together in the house. the rock was still attached and they made a GOUGE (not scratch) from front to back of my hutch. They tried to cover it by putting the top on the bottom incorrectly. When I straightened it out, I saw more gouges and some pretty deep scratches. There were about ten places where the finish had been knocked off. This was the tip of the iceberg. My dining table has scratches and gouges all over it. There were white markings on it. The table and hutch (just like all of my furniture) was in pristine shape. I am compulsive about taking care of my things. I had two other pieces in my dining room that also had multiple places where the finish was taken off. The estimates were $4280 to repair the dining room furniture. The living room furniture is all antique. There were 5 places where a piece of wood was knocked off of the couch. The fabric was also separated from the frame in 4 places. I have a piano that was made in 1891. There were only two of these pianos made- EVER. It is very ornate. I have had it for 40 years. It was in pristine shape. It now has pieces of wood knocked off of it. It is no longer worth anywhere close to the $20,500 that it was estimated. My king size headboard looked as though the bed frame was ripped off of it. There is now a 3 inch in diameter whole where the bed frame had been screwed into the headboard. My bedroom set is a mess! It is solid cherry wood. It has deep dents and pieces of finish knocked off in 14 places between the bed, 2 dressers and the night stand. There are multiple gouges (into the wood) and deep scratches. as well. My bedroom furniture alone will take $5200 to repair. This was a first, AS I HAD NEVER SEEN MOVERS THROW MY PERSIAN RUGS IN THE STREET!! They were so careless, that they were dropping things all over the place. I found pieces from my foreign money collection and my match collection in the street, the driveway, and the garage. They really did not seem to care. They knocked the leg off of my grandmother's 100 year old desk. They did not look for it when asked to! I have moved all over the world, and have moved probably 25 times in my life, and I HAVE NEVER HAD A MOVE THAT COMES ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THIS!! HE RUINED ALMOST EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE I OWN!! Now we come to the things that they lost. The most important thing that they lost was my wedding ring and 2 1/2 carat diamond engagement ring. My husband is deceased, so he cannot replace my rings and that makes them very special to me! I had had 4 jewelry boxes and I kept one with me. I lost the other four. He lost large professionally framed pictures that I had bought in my travels. He lost pictures from: Saudi Arabia, Russia, France, Egypt, and Austria! They also lost my dining room chandelier. I paid $800 for it more than 20 years ago. It was gorgeous! Eugene response was simply that there was nothing in the storage room. NO, I'M SORRY!! I recently went with Global Moving Systems to relocate my family of four from my 2 bedroom apartment from DC to Va Beach. I feel very lucky that i chose Global to help me in this complex move to our new home. When I initially started my search for movers in the DMV area who would do a long distance move, Global stood out with all of their 5 star reviews. My initial contact with them was via e-mail which eventually led to phone calls with their consultants Eugene and Julia regarding their opinions of the requirements of my move. I required two pick up locations and two delivery locations with a complicated exchange of a rather large 3 seat sofa. They were very competitive in pricing compared to the 3 other local companies that would do a long distance move i received quotes for. They were also the most flexible as well giving me two options which would be determined on the day of the move based on the truck size we would need to execute the move. on the day of the move they showed up with a crew of about 5 men and two trucks to help us unload our apartment. This caught us off guard because I thought i would have time to finish up packing as they loaded the downstairs of our apartment, but they were so fast and efficient that we were unable to keep up with them. It took them approximately 45 mins to access which truck my apartment would require, and load my goods onto the truck based on whether they were going into a storage unit or our new home. They were also very patient with us as we were not fully prepared for the move, and were of great assistance in helping us take apart a few of our belongings and pack as well. After loading the truck, 3 of the movers and the smaller truck went off to another job and two of the movers drove off to meet us at our next pick up location to exchange furniture we had in manasass, VA. Then after a long drive to Va Beach for our storage unit, where the movers patiently waited for our arrival since we were caught in traffic. The movers were great in organizing the storage unit in a way that I could access my belongings easily at a later time. Finally reached our new home, where they unloaded every box to the exact room we needed with the utmost care for the cleanliness of the house and the delicacy of some of our boxes. Eugene and his crew were all very courteous and respectful of us and our property, as well as having the utmost pride in their work. I just used Global Moving Systems last week and they did a great job. My sister recommended them to me after using them for her move earlier in 2021. Anna in the office was very helpful with all of my questions during the quote and booking process. When scheduling, I chose the morning slot and was given an 8-10am window during which the truck would arrive. The morning of the move, the dispatcher called at 7:30 to inform me the truck was ready to hit the road. Originally I'd been scheduled with 2 movers, but he happened to have 3 on hand that morning and confirmed the change with me before dispatching the team. The moving team was Rush, Ever, and Guillermo who were all wonderful. Rush called maybe 10 minutes out, and the team arrived promptly at 8am. They took care of getting the mattress into the cover I provided which was helpful. They had covers, boxes, packing stuff on hand if needed. They were all a pleasure to work with and got the job done smoothly and quickly and took care with all the fragile items. Credit due to them as the move involved two buildings with elevators and odd entrances, the heat in August, and a constantly barking dog. They were also kind enough to wear masks when requested (they were all vaccinated, but we are still being cautious for various reasons). A few notes that might be helpful to know: my move was local (within Alexandria VA); my one bedroom apartment building to one bedroom apt bldg took about 4 hours labor; there is 6% fee on card payments (no fee on cash); I shopped around for a few quotes and Global provided the most reasonable rates I found. This is the best moving service I have ever used. This was a local move, consisting of a lot of heavy, European furniture, from a third-floor condo in Loudoun County to a condo in Fairlington. I boxed up everything on my own. I had four well-known local moving companies come out in March to give estimates for an expected June/July move. Global's estimate was the most reasonable, by far. Complications with the sale of my property postposed the move until early September. Global could have adjusted their original estimate, but they didn't. In addition, Eugene, Alex, and Julia communicated with me throughout the summer and rescheduled the move date several times to meet the needs of my changing situation. On the day of the move, Max and his team showed up on time and worked diligently until the job was successfully completed. They were unbelievably professional, moving big pieces up and down stairs until they were exactly where I wanted them. They never complained or appeared irritated in the least with all of my requests. The space is tight in my new place and construction is happening in the kitchen, and the the team offered to come back if I needed anything moved around once the construction is completed. Truly, these guys went above and beyond to deliver quality service. There were no hidden charges, either, so the total bill was very close to the estimate. We purchased a few custom made furniture pieces from a custom furniture place in Purcelville, VA. I spoke with Julia about the move. She was very attentive to our needs, she was able to accomodate us on the day that we needed and provide us with the 3 men crew that we asked for. The pricing was reasonable and professionalism was obvious, not to mention reviews, bbb and dot. After having various experiences in the past I did my research and was happy with what I found. On the day of the move, Eugene was my foreman. He met me at the store along with his crew, They did a magnificent job wrapping my items. I had a few glass front pieces that needed some extra tlc and they got just that. Everything was well padded and professionally. There were some extra costs for packing supplies, but I was ready to pay them to make sure that my furniture made it safely. Considering that they were going from Purcellville all the way to Reisterstown, they made it there in timely fashion, got my items safely into my third floor apartment. Eugene and his crew were nice and professional the entire time. I was happy with the time, price and left them a sizable tip to show my appreciation. Professional service through and through. We hired GMS for a move from my wife's office downtown DC to our home in upper NWDC. There were many pieces of furniture there with glass tops -- very fragile. The move was further complicated by a major internal move, with 20 items, some quite large like a mid-century pine sideboard, that needed to be moved to the garage. Little Nagi and Big Nagi did the move, and an incredible job they did. Unfailingly polite and helpful, always in motion, always masked, and never complaining, even when we asked them to move a piece of furniture from one room to the other after they had moved it to the first room. They were early, which was a blessing, and used FaceTime to show us how the move was progressing and to make sure they were following our written directions correctly -- we didn't want to be in the house with them since we're still in the midst of the pandemic.. An added bonus was that they were backed by the indefatigable Anna in the office who was always available by email and phone to answer our many questions, deal with the office building management, and respond to our many worries about the move. The price was great, the service superlative, and the movers magnificent. My highest recommendation: I would never move locally without Global Moving Systems in my corner! read more

Searching for a moving company can be stressful and not ideal especially when moving during a pandemic. I looked into several options and right from my initial contact with Global I was impressed with their customer service. Anna was so quick to respond to me via email and by phone. She answered all of my questions in a very timely manner and made me feel like I was her only customer any time we connected. Other moving companies force you to communicate through email only, or through the message system on their web site which is very frustrating when you really need to talk about a move. My move was from one city to another city that was 4 hours away. Nagi and his moving crew arrived right on time which I sincerely appreciated considering the upcoming drive. I was incredibly impressed with how safe, efficient, careful and meticulous they were with moving my items out of my house, wrapping my furniture that required it, packing the moving truck and then unpacking everything at my destination. The price of the move was the best quote I received and the service was the absolute best from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this company for short or long distance moves. I was very pleased with my moving experience with these guys. The scheduling process was seamless. I was moving out of a two bedroom apartment in D.C. to a single family home in Silver Spring, MD. I had a lot of stuff and was worried that it might take 2 trips and the whole day to get the job done. The movers, very nice and professional, showed up on schedule and got started quickly. They didn't complain about anything (I had the service elevator reserved but we had to share it because of building maintenance that was going on). They wrapped my furniture professionally and promptly then loaded everything on their truck in under 2 and 1/2 hours. Again, the guys were very courteous and professional even after seeing the long and winding stairway that waited for them on the other end. I was worried the walls might get damaged because I had very tall chest of drawers and a very heavy oak dresser, but they got them upstairs seamlessly. They asked where I'd like my furniture placed, rearranged everything I asked them to and put my bed back together even though I didn't ask them to. We hired Global M S to move our townhome to a single family (16 miles) last week. Before the move Eugene, the owner, came to the house and inventoried every furniture boxs and odd sized items. He was extremely transparent about cost, time, level of effort. He even give us ideas on what we can do before the movers come to the house. Extremely transparent !! On the moving day G M S arrived exactly on time. Erik was the crew manager. He was accompanied by three additional crewmembers. Erik and his crew were extremely professional and did not rest a minute until it was all done. The 26 foot truck spotless! Erik surveyed the entire house before moving a single piece. He explained to me the prices they were going to use to load the truck and unload the truck. He gave me ideas of what needs to be wrapped up (delicate items and light colored furniture). Unloading the truck was even faster and better. We moved into a brand new home. They did not ding the walls or the floors or the furniture. Very professionally done and clearly not their first rodeo. Best experience I've had with movers! My booking experience with Julia and Eugene smooth (no hassle). They explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions prior to booking. The team, led by Max, was great! They arrived on time, were polite, professional, and efficient. They took great care in protecting all of the furniture from disassembly, to loading and unloading, and to re-assembly. I really appreciated the care they took in moving all of the furniture, especially the large pieces. They made sure there was no damage to any furniture and not a single scratch on the walls (and that was with a couple of flights of stairs moving heavy bedroom furniture). One thing I will mention to anyone that has less experience with movers, make sure you have plenty of tape! We didn't realize so much tape would be used in wrapping / protecting the furniture. We only had a 6 pack of tape, and Max was kind enough not to charge for the many additional rolls of tape he used. They made the move easy and as stress free as moving can be. Global Moving is fabulous! We originally looked into this company due to the many positive Yelp reviews, and they did not disappoint! We had a team of 3 men (Chris, Vadim, & Tomas) who moved us in roughly 5 hours - This was including everything in our 2-bedroom apartment, but also a stop to our large storage unit to pack that up and move it as well. They were not deterred by our 4th-level apartment with no elevator! The team was quick, efficient, and careful with all of our belongings. Nothing left behind, and no damage! Because of the longer move and time, we stopped to get and sandwich ring and lunch for us all - they were very appreciative, quickly ate, and promptly continued moving in our things. I know this is often typical, but they also set up our bed frames and put together some furniture that had to be undone - Thanks guys! All of this and the grand total was VERY reasonable! I have not found another company with similar prices. We will certainly use Global Moving again in the future! read more

We are so happy to have had Global Moving Systems recommended to us. We had been living in our home for 18 years and had no idea what moving company to use. Our family recommended Global Moving Services and it turned out to a wonderful recommendation! Anna was helpful in setting up our move date and then rescheduling for us when Covid 19 began changing all our plans. On moving day, Yizhak, Bakt, Selvin and Nagi showed up on time and got right to work. They professionally wrapped our furniture, quickly loaded the truck and moved all our things into our new home. We looked at and spoke to alot of companies when we were planning our move. We got estimates back and compared prices. I kept coming back to Global moving because there estimate process was easy to follow, and they got back to me with a responsible price very quickly. I liked that there were no hidden charges, there were no complicated terms and I never felt pressued when speaking to anyone at Global moving. On the day of our move it was slightly hectic, as we had just gotten a puppy and were watching my 1yr old niece that day as well. When Eric and his guys showed up they were so nice and walked through the townhome and got right to work. I am extremely glad I selected Global Moving Systems for our move, which involved a shorter move of the furniture into storage and a 2.5 hour move from storage to our new house. Everything from booking with Yuriy, two moves, and furniture storage went extremely well and the prices for both moves were unbeatable. Unfortunately, I do not recall the names of the first moving team, but both teams were very professional, polite, and took very good care of both houses and furniture. Our most recent move was with Enkhe and his crew (Big Nagi, Andrew, and Kamilla). Everyone on the team was extremely polite, friendly, and courteous of caring for our house and belongings. I will add that this was not an easy move either, all of furniture is very bulky and heavy, most items had to be moved up or down stairs, and most of the furniture was in pieces and had to be put back together. I moved with Global Moving Systems just recently, and the experience was spectacular. The team that helped me was Enkhe, Big Nagi, and Ulzii. All of them were polite and friendly. Enkhe seemed to be the lead for the group, and he did a great job coordinating with me and ensuring everything was moved correctly. When we moved, we also left behind junk that I went back to trash. When Enkhe and I talked about what was moving and what was being left behind, he was very attentive. Everything was moved that was supposed to, and nothing else. They were professional and efficient through the whole process. The move itself was uneventful, which is the best you can hope for. Everything arrived safely, intact, and in the correct room as marked on the boxes. The move was also well within the timeframe provided, even though I forgot to mention items that we ended up moving. I hired Global Moving Systems to complete an out of state move, roughly 3 hours away. It was worth every penny! I moved from a 2 bed/2 bath to a 3 bed/2.5 bath townhome with a variety of furniture and a LOT of belongings. The team showed up 15 minutes prior to the 8-10am arrival window. Dago, David and Jose were incredibly professional and friendly. They worked with speed and care to complete my move out. I had anticipated the move out to be completed some time around 1 or 2pm, but they completed it by 11:30am! The move in was the same experience. They navigated stairs, tight corners and multiple home entrances with ease and care. I expected the entire move to be completed around 8pm, but we were done by 4pm. What could have been a very stressful experience ended up being a complete and total breeze. Baynaa and Jose were absolute rockstars. I had a difficult move. Let's face it, moving in Georgetown or DC in general sucks. I warned Global Moving Systems in advance when I requested a quote that the parking was going to suck since I was moving to M street. They picked up a sofa I bought off Facebook marketplace, I had heavy furniture, no street parking in front of the building, no parking lot, no driveway, the building I moved to is really old, and I live on the top floor (no escalators and narrow stairs). I'm so glad the weather wasn't humid and it didn't rain. Baynaa and Jose not only moved my stuff efficiently, they had a great attitude while doing it considering this move sucked logistically. Rest assured I won't be moving from my new place. Highly recommend Baynaa and Jose, though I hope you two don't get another client anytime soon that had such a ***** move as me. This was, by far, the easiest and smoothest moving experience I've had (and I've moved every year for the past 10 years!). Their moving quote was competitive and booking was a breeze (bonus points for a very nominal booking deposit too). On the day of the move I got a 30-min heads up phone call before they arrived, much appreciated. Jose, David, and Ever were courteous, friendly, and took great care of my belongings. When I pointed out items I was worried about, I was reassured that they would be packed with extra care. Absolutely nothing arrived damaged, and there wasn't a single smudge or mark on any walls or flooring (quite impressive). They worked efficiently without wasting time. The only complaint I have is I wish I'd been clearly notified about the credit card fee (6%) ahead of time so I could've gotten cash or a cashier's check instead. I will definitely consider hiring again for our next move. read more

Both moves were transfers within my apartment building. In response to my request to get the same team if possible, the new three-person team had the same foreman as the previous three-person team. They once again did an excellent job - called in advance, arrived early, and worked very quickly and efficiently. The foreman planned well which items should be moved between the two apartments in each trip to minimize the number of trips and the work time. The team members were both friendly and professional. As with my previous move, the cost of the job came in well under the estimate due to the team's speedy work. My two experiences with NewRay have been a refreshing contrast to my experiences with other movers over the years. I plan to continue to use them for any future moves.

I first requested a quote in late December before I even had a new apartment lined up. Their online tool made it easy to get an initial estimate without an in‑home visit, and Dasha (and sometimes Lilith) answered all my questions over the following weeks. A month later, when I was ready for an in‑person assessment, they honored my original quote even though my inventory had changed (many more smaller boxes, one less big piece of furniture). They visited on a Thursday and scheduled pickup for the next Tuesday. A team of three loaded everything in under two hours (right after Winter Storm Fern). I arrived in Seattle on Saturday, and the driver called 15 minutes after I had picked up my keys from the leasing office (I am not kidding). Despite my building having no loading dock, he found a workable spot, unloaded everything, and rebuilt my furniture solo in about 4.5 hours total. The original delivery window was up to two weeks, so four days was beyond anything I expected. I'm incredibly impressed and highly recommend DC Moving Inc for long‑distance moves.

Then he was so professional that he flipped us (and other drivers) off as he sped by. If that's how he drives, I don't want him anywhere near my personal property. I live in NoVA and will NEVER use or recommend this company. Hire better people.
