I've used them twice now (back in 2022 and just now May 2024). Both times were completely seamless. No damage either time to furniture or house and everything is handled with care. Totally recommend them! read more

After calling around to a few companies in the DMV, we decided to choose Global due to their availability and affordability. Their online portal (much better interface than others) made it easy to build our item list and view the quote breakdown. After receiving a quote we were assigned a rep that I called several times who took the time to answer all my questions and get everything set up. Just want to note that Global was not pushy like some of the other companies I contacted. We did a local move between apartments in DC and had a great experience. The 3 man crew was friendly, efficient, & professional, they wrapped our furniture well and were communicative throughout. Our final price was right within the quoted range and overall I would use this company again in the future. Would definitely recommend! read more

GMS is definitely a diamond in the rough. I had just moved into my apartment two years prior and could not believe how much prices had gone up with inflation. Every company I called; they were not willing to hear how little stuff I had, that there was an elevator and I was only moving to the floor above or that I only had a one bedroom without much furniture. The owner - Evgeny was professional and actually listened to my predicament with me only having a week notice (prev movers disappeared and was unable to contact - G&C Moving). I was pleasantly impressed and surprised how mindful GMS were. They did little things that made the experience less stressful such as; they moved my doormat, set up my bedframe w/ mattresses and copied the staging of my living room like it was in my last place. I never asked them to do this. They even went over the time estimate proposed. They were so kind and thoughtful and cared about my things. I hope I encourage with my review anyone to use them or at least give them a chance because they were above stellar. You can't put a price on the care and respect they gave me. Thank you of Evgeny and Team read more

I needed help with a local move from Arlington to Fairfax. I looked up many moving companies and I chose Global Moving Systems because of how transparent and straightforward their quote request system was and how reasonable the pricing was. The account page with your quote has all their policy information, mentions specifically the 6% processing fee for credit cards, you can input all of your move info to determine pricing, and you can also message/chat them. They got back to me very quickly whenever I had questions using this chat system. The movers arrived within the time frame they said. We had two movers, Enkhe and Big Nagi. They were very friendly, fast and efficient. Enkhe had me look over all the information he was inputting into their phone app for the move and sign off on it. My move involved only moving larger furniture from a small 1 BR apartment but I had requested help moving to my new place as well as taking some furniture to a storage unit afterwards. The whole move including both locations took 3.5 hours. I was surprised by how quick they were. No damages and we were very happy with the results. Would definitely use again for future moves. read more

Global Moving Systems is a great moving company to work with. More specifically, Dago and Jose were incredible! They completed a move from a two-bedroom house to a two-bedroom condo in record time. Throughout the process they were communicative and helpful, and all my things made it into the new condo in excellent condition. This is the second time I have used this moving company and will absolutely be using them again if I need to move (and have no hesitation recommending them to other people)! read more

We just moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 story townhome. The crew at Global Moving Systems were very careful with our belongings and got everything to its destination without incident. The effort lasted longer than the company anticipated so the final bill was a few hundred dollars higher than we were quoted, but I believe this is completely understandable given the challenge presented by the stairs and the heavy weight of some of our items. Side note: We tipped our crew heavily given the difficulty of moving our furniture up several flights of stairs. I learned that some of our neighbors, who moved into the same style townhome, did not tip at all. I feel awful for their movers. Please... tip these guys! They are putting tremendous wear and tear on their bodies for our benefit, the least we can do is make sure they are receiving fair monetary compensation. read more

Movers were great - 2 day interstate move to NYC went very smoothly. Company was very responsive and helpful, even with some last minute changes. Great price too, compared to other quotes received. read more

Thanks a lot Global Moving needed our belongings moved into our new 2 bedroom apartment, up a couple sets of stairs. They came with a large truck, moved everything very quickly with no issues, and ended up charging us a lower price than we were quoted. Great service. read more

I'm giving 5 stars for the actual men who did the moving. Rush, Andrew and Guliermo were professional, efficient, friendly and hard working. I would give 1 star to Yuri the guy who promised we could do the whole move from NC to DC in one day. He under estimated greatly how long it would take to move out our 2 bedroom condo's worth of furniture and thus we lost our reservation at the loading dock at our new place. This caused us a lot of issues. When we called to talk to him, he pointed blame everywhere, told me he would call me back once he talked to someone and he never called back. read more

I've moved countless times all over the country in 30+ years of military service and this was, unequivocally, the most pleasant move ever. It started in the office with Anna who went above and beyond to make sure all my paperwork was sorted in time for my move. Then Rush, Vladimir and Naaji, arrived on time and executed my move quickly and seamlessly. Nothing broken, everything handled with care and assembled properly, no hidden fees, excellent value. Beyond that, they were such genuinely nice folks! I'm no pushover and I highly recommend this company. Gentlemen, it was so nice to meet you! Thank you for your help. I greatly appreciate the good work you did for me. Best of luck to you in the future! v/r Ellen read more

GMS made my life a whole lot easier when the two gentlemen helped migrate everything from my old place to the new within 2.5 hours. They came very prepared with all their equipment to ensure nothing was damaged and made sure the big ticket items were deconstructed to avoid any damage to walls. Highly recommend these folks for the value. Pro Tip: schedule a move for the mornings to avoid any delays read more

Just hired these guys for my out of state move and they did a fantastic job! Rush and Vladimir were extremely quick, efficient, and friendly. They made sure my items were safeguarded, which I appreciated. Best moving service I've used to date and would highly recommend for your next move. read more

Pros: 1. Good communication from the company. Easy to book and update info on the platform 2. Movers showed up on time I had high hopes for them since everything seems quite professional. Sadly the experience went downhill since then. (The company may have better movers, but be aware you may end up with the same problematic pair I had.) Cons: 1. Inefficient/Slow/Shirking movers (could be any reason, cannot speak for their intention) eg. 1 When they opened the truck to get ready for the move, all materials that we never used (a huge pile of padding mats enough to move a whole house) were piled at the end of the truck, blocking the way to load. Took their sweet time to move these to the front of the truck. Obviously could be done ahead of time eg. 2 it's a extremely short move across a block (5 min walking distance) After they left the old place, I had enough time to check all the utilities, pick up the trash, walk through the hallway and elevator with building manager to sign off, get coffee, walk to the new place, and they still haven't moved a single item into the new place. More than 40 min! Again, with reserved loading dock and elevator so no interruptions from others. 2. Rude behavior During the unloading, I feel they've become even slower than before so I went downstairs to check. I saw the lead of the team wandered to the other end of the hallway. I asked "Are you looking for something?", thought he had some problems and were looking for the building staff. He SHOUTED back at me saying "I'm doing my job. What are you looking for?!" 3. Attempt to bill for things unused I chose to pay with card. The final bill showed up on the mover's phone. He tried to get me to agree to the total amount without showing details. I scrolled up before signing and noticed that he included a roll of tape and other packing materials in the bill, even though everything was already packed and shrink wrapped. He said the tape was "just a little" to hold some lose materials together. Did not leave the rest of the tape, as all my previous movers did. I don't mind paying for necessary materials, but trying to charge me more and not disclose this is not ok. 4. Demanding more tips even after I expressed that I'm not happy with the results Given previous 3 problems, I'm not keen on giving a big tip (which is not necessary to begin with). The lead mover, again, complained loudly while cornered me (petite female) in an elevator on our way down. Had it not been during day time in a busy building, I'd feel physically threatened. I understand it's hard physical work and would be happy to see the workers properly compensated. However, I'd rather have the company be upfront about the labor cost and avoid the situation where a thug mover tried to bully and shake down a customer. I chose an organized company instead of a contractor precisely for this reason. Apparently did not work out as expected this time. Just for reference, I moved last year, same situation, elevator to elevator apt, reserved parking and loading, took a full one hour less time. read more

Just finished a long day of moving and we couldn't be happier with our experience with Global Moving. Rush and his crew really took care of us today. You know that feeling when your just so overwhelmed with moving? Well, it all went away when Davlat, Alex and Viktor showed up! Our move was efficient, quick and thorough. I recommend Global Moving if you need to schedule a last minute local movement of furniture (living room & bedroom furniture, bistro set, 2 rugs, 3 boxes and a few miscellaneous items) in the afternoon/evening on Good Friday in the Washington DC metropolitan area! Please do what I did and select Global. However, if the representative hadn't lied about the methods of payment then it would be the top rating. That being said, I give the actual movers 5 Stars ! They did an excellent job read more

Dago and Jose moved things from my mom's house in VA to a consignment store and storage in PA. They were careful, efficient and patient even though they had to wait for me to arrive at the consignment store before continuing on our journey. They even helped me take up some items that I had transported in my minivan. They were also personable; not just with me but with the painters at my Mom's house and some other movers who were loading into a truck at the storage place. I highly recommend Global Moving Systems because of how easy it was to book with them online and from out of state and then entrusting your items to Dago and Jose! read more

This is my third time with GMS - and year after year, they gotten better and communication is much improved. I really appreciate Eugene and Andrew for their excellent customer service. The movers Mohammad and team was very efficient and timely. The pricing is also very reasonable. My belongings arrived within 3 days from Florida to Maryland---- it truly exceeded my expectations! Note for customers, worked with GMS with a viable time, and just go from there. Many thanks again! read more

I just completed a move between apartments in DC and these guys made things a lot easier. The movers were super efficient packing up my furniture and some boxes. They also did a solid job wrapping up items so they weren't scuffed up in the move. I'd recommend Global for the moving job and the price point, which beat other companies by quite a lot. I got estimates from several other movers that were about twice as high for the same job. read more

Horrible moving experience. The estimated amount and time was 4-5 hrs, at 500-600 dollars for a local move. I ended up paying $850 with a credit card because of the movers were horrible. At the start of the day, I knew they were behind as it took 3 hrs to move a one bedroom apartment; and they made me leave a LOT of things behind as one of them stated, "we are behind." The movers and the company severely underestimated this. I stated everything upfront, there were absolutely zero surprises. I moved from a one bedroom apartment with an elevator, to a bigger one bedroom apartment with stairs. And that was stated. Again, no surprises. The movers made me choose what to leave behind, which is not what I paid for. If I boxed it and bagged it, it should be taken. But since they were behind for whatever reason, they panicked because the incoming apartment had stairs only. So I had to leave many items behind, and ended up paying $850 which was way over the estimate. I was kind enough to offer water and snacks, as they accepted, then got tired and said they needed a break. So the time was intentionally ran up, as they seemed to move faster up stairs, than they did with an elevator, and again, I left many items behind because for whatever reason they were that behind. It was truly a horrible experience and feeling to have to pay such an enormous amount of money, to not even have my items moved properly. I also asked for marked boxes to be placed in the appropriate location, they couldn't even do that. Because they were behind. And on my dime. I've moved an incredible amount of times; was organized, and for whatever reason they were incredibly slow on the departure; which forced me to have to leave things behind that they wouldn't take, because they "had to get moving". I paid for this service; and I was treated as if I were moving on my own. The fact this company is hiring movers who can lollygag and take their time on the departure; then rush at the end and charge double is incredibly unprofessional and no fault of my doing. I would like to be compensated in some way if this is a professional establishment. I had to re arrange other services due to them to take breaks. Again, the estimated time was 4-5 hrs and this took 845am to 3pm. read more

There are so many moving companies out there and Global Moving Systems is one of the best! We recently moved from Springfield to Woodbridge and the team was fantastic. Big shout out to Ilago, Jose, and Edwin for their friendly personalities and professional demeanors! They moved us out of our townhouse very efficiently and were super careful not to damage anything. We had yet to pack up the basement and we actually hired them two days later to finish the job (we thought we could pack up the basement ourselves but quickly realized we needed help!). It was great to hire them again. While we really don't want to move ever again, we would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone! Thank you, Ilago, Jose, and Edwin! read more

A friend of ours recommended Global Moving Systems to us for our move in Virginia and we could not have been happier. The team (Dago, Edwin and Jose) arrived early and finished the move in 4 hours. Global moving system is on time and reliable. The moving team come to help me move is very efficient. The stairs in my new place are narrow and high, the moving team are very smart and managed to move my large sofa and king size bed mattress upstairs. Highly recommended. Only one small problem, they did not use the floor mat to protect the floor and it was a little dirty after they finished the moving. read more

These guys were ALL OVER IT! From first contact on the phone until the last item was off the truck. They even stayed a few minutes after to help me with something really quickly that I couldn't have done myself! The crew that came and packed me up was fast, courteous and professional. I was lucky enough to get the same team for moving day and I'll tell you what! I couldn't have been more pleased. This was a team that wasn't good at their jobs, they are GREAT at them. I can't begin to praise Thea men enough. Without them I would have been in a bad spot. They are caring, clean, professional, and super competent. In one word, SUBLIME! Good job Global! Thanks and a shout out to my crew!!! read more

The movers, Enkhe and Big Nagi, were really amazing - they got everything in and out of our apartment so quickly, were very positive and flexible, and were very careful with our things. It was also a very reasonable price for a interstate move. We truly could not have done it ourselves and we appreciated their work so much! The one issue is that it did not seem like Global Moving Systems did a very good job communicating with the movers themselves. Though we confirmed with the company a couple times in the weeks leading up to our move that it was a 2-day move, when the movers arrived, they were under the impression that it was a 1-day move. They were able to change their schedule in order to accommodate us, which was very appreciated. We also called the company mid-move to report an issue with the elevator in our second spot, and when we spoke to the movers a few hours later, they still had not been notified. The company should do a better job of communicating with the movers on the ground so they can be informed and ready. read more

I recently moved with Global Moving Systems for a local move and booked them because of their affordability and recommendation from a friend. Their online application was very easy to use and receive a quote. Before the move they were very responsive in answering any questions I had. The day of the move, my movers were Nagi and Dago who were professional, timely, and efficient! I had a pretty small move but had a wide couch and awkwardly angled apartment that made it difficult to move but they handled it beautifully. Overall, I'm very impressed with how quick they able to move all my things and disassemble/reassemble my furniture. Would use this service again and recommend to a friend! read more

I decided to use Global Moving Systems based on all the good yelp reviews. While I was filling out the online quote request form, they gave me a call right away to get more specifics on our apartment inventory! I also liked how after my quote was confirmed, I could still update my inventory just in case I forgot something over the phone. I also liked how they emailed me a 5 day reminder and a 1 day reminder before our move day. Come move day, the crew called me with their ETA! Usually I don't get calls from movers until they've actually arrived so I was pleasantly surprised! They moved all our boxes out of our apartment so quickly and they wrapped all of our furniture with blankets to make sure nothing was scratched! When we got to our townhouse, they did a great job moving our furniture up all the stairs without scratching our newly painted walls! I highly recommend using these guys!! Thanks Global Moving Systems for making our move into our first home stress-free! read more

Came on time, Smooth move, no extra costs. Will hire them again.

Workers did a reasonably efficient job. Solid experience. Pricing model seems intentionally unintuitive, but that was to be expected tbh.

These people are amazing. If you're stressed about picking a mover, let this be the end of your search and hire them ASAP. We were moving back to NYC from DC - which doesn't sound like a super far move, but honestly is rougher than it seems - unless you have the right team behind you, which we did. I searched Yelp a TON for different moving companies and got many quotes. Ultimately I chose Global because of their responsiveness, friendliness, ease of booking, great reviews, competitive pricing and ability to accommodate our needs. We asked if they could provide packing services (yes this is bougie but once you have it you can't go back) and they were happy to make it happen. We didn't lift a finger, they packed everything perfectly and safely (dishes, art, clothes, everything). What I was most impressed with was their positive attitude and ability to adapt when the going got tough. We ran into a few issues (totally unrelated to our movers) and they weren't phased. Examples: - Our building only allowed them to park for 2 hours so they had to find street parking and walk our furniture there - Traffic was WILD getting back to NY - We didn't arrive in NY until close to midnight and they made it work, still moved us in fully and didn't seem bothered that it was an insanely long day - Some psychopath on my street was yelling at them and they just laughed it off like pros They also dealt with my type A-ness of wanting the rug switched around multiple times until I liked where it was placed. Both guys were young and skinny but STRONG AF. Loved them. Anna is also a gem and was so easy to coordinate with. I pray we don't have to move again for a LONG time - but if you're in the DMV area (or prob anywhere!) and looking for a mover - your search stops here. read more

Absolute garbage company! They damaged just about every piece of furniture I own, completely broke an expensive TV. Communicating with Andrew about the claims process was useless. I used them a couple years prior and had no damage and Anna was much better at communicating. This company has really gone downhill, avoid at all costs! I'm so mad all my furniture is disfigured and all they gave me was $200. Get full replacement insurance if you're moving across state and decide to use these morons. read more

We had a local move. The company kept us appraised of all stages of the move. They called 30 min before arrival to give us a heads up and arrived right on time. They did it again. The second move went very smoothly. Had some tricky pieces that needed attention and it was handled very professionally with zero bumps, scratches, or damage. Furniture was taken apart and reassembled perfectly. So pleased...gave each of the three movers a big tip! Being consistently good is hard to do. Recommend highly!!!! Nagi and Bat were amazing but disappointed in the fact that I ordered 3 men and a 24 foot truck and only 2 showed up. The company should have had a back up. It was not fair to Nagi and Bat and definitely not fair for the customer (us). I would expect an apology and some type of accommodation maybe on my next move. Poor Nagi and Bat had to lift a super heavy massage chair to the second floor. It is a miracle that they accomplished the feat without getting injured, damaging the chair, or damaging the house. Kudos to these two guys...buying them lunch and tipping them was not enough to make up fthe fact that two had to do the work of three men. read more

I had an amazing experience with Global Moving Systems. This month (May 2022) I was able to book a local move with them with just a few days' notice. Enkhe's team of movers (Enkhe, Big Nagi, and David) were awesome. They arrived early and handled my items with care. Nothing was broken, dinged, or scratched. The team was friendly, professional, and worked so quickly. The time/cost estimate was very accurate and affordable. Enkhe's team completed my move in just over 4 hours, which really impressed me because my furniture is heavy and my old place and new place both have several flights of stairs and no elevators. I will definitely use Global Moving Systems for my next move. They actually made my move stress-free and pleasant. I highly recommend them. read more
