Our history with Ford's Garage goes all the way back to when we first moved to Florida. After a long drive from Maryland with Apollo and Kaya, one of our first meals in St. Augustine was at Ford's Garage. We sat outside on the patio, decompressed after the trip and enjoyed exactly the kind of casual, comforting meal we needed. Peter is a former Ford dealer, so obviously the automotive décor, vintage memorabilia and old Ford above the bar were going to get his attention. But décor alone does not keep people coming back. We have returned many times because the food and overall experience have consistently delivered. On our latest visit, we wanted to experience some old favorites and look at the restaurant through a different lens because a new Ford's Garage is coming to the Beachwalk area where we live. We started with the Piston Onion Rings, which come stacked dramatically on a funnel. Crispy, golden and accompanied by ranch and Chipotle ketchup. Peter has tried more than once to duplicate the Chipotle ketchup at home, which should tell you how he feels about it. We also had Edsel's Hot Pretzels, which are large, warm and fluffy and served with beer cheese and honey mustard. The Ford's Pickles were Susan's department. They had a crispy coating and plenty of flavor. Peter is not a pickle fan, so he happily delegated that part of the review. For serious comfort food, the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt is outstanding. It combines brisket caramelized in bourbon barbecue sauce with sharp cheddar and bacon jam on grilled country white toast. Peter ordered the Model "A" Burger, topped with sharp cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon, pico de gallo, arugula, lettuce, tomato, red onion and a sunny side up egg. It is a lot of burger. The Ford branded brioche bun makes the presentation memorable, and fortunately the burger itself delivered just as strongly. Susan chose the Seared Ahi Tuna Bowl, and this may have been the surprise of the night. We simply did not expect a restaurant best known for burgers and American comfort food to prepare ahi tuna this well. It was served with jasmine rice, avocado, cucumber, pickled red onions and slaw. Very good. Our waiter was terrific and eventually convinced us to try the Brookie Sundae. We had already eaten more than enough. We ordered it anyway. Warm brownie, chewy chocolate chip cookie, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and Oreo crumble arrive together in a warm skillet. No regrets. The experience earned a 59 out of 60 Culinary Duo score and five stars. We also named Ford's Garage St. Augustine Best of the Best, awarded the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt our Best Dish Award, and gave the Brookie Sundae our Sweet Ending Award. Who will love Ford's Garage? Families. Burger lovers. Car enthusiasts. Groups looking for a fun casual meal. Couples who want an easygoing dinner. And apparently one couple where one person wants seared ahi tuna and the other wants bacon, cheese and an egg on a burger. We are particularly excited because Ford's Garage is coming to Beachwalk. Our future neighborhood location will need to earn its own review once it opens, but if it follows the example set in St. Augustine, Beachwalk and Beacon Lake residents have a lot to look forward to.

Ford's Garage was an awesome experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is one of the coolest things about this place. The vintage Ford and automotive theme is incredibly well done, with so many details throughout the restaurant that make it feel like you've stepped into an old-school garage. The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The service was just as impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel rushed. What really makes Ford's Garage stand out is the combination of great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. It's a great place to bring the family, meet up with friends, or just grab a burger and enjoy the automotive memorabilia. Definitely one of those restaurants that's more than just a meal, it's an experience. We'll absolutely be coming back!

John and I took far to long to visit this Ford's Garage location- we have been to a couple other locations around the state & knew we liked the vibe, the food, the decor. We had the kids during our visit and truthfully, Riley just doesn't do very good at restaurants (we will keep trying). Lilly loved trying foods! Our burgers were perfect, Riley did eat a fry- Lilly tried the mac and approved. Service was great, cups with lids, extra napkins- very attentive.

First time dining in at this location and it was great! We stopped in Friday night and managed to beat the dinner rush so were seated quickly. Our server was so kind, attentive and helpful as was the hostess and any other employee we encountered. Food came out quickly and everyone loved their meals. Cheese curds appetizer was really good and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely recommend! Plus our son loved looking at the cars all around.

No, I am not in the market to buy a Ford, but this spot is really rad with all the cool models all the way from the 30's and checkout all the refurbished automotive gear all the way to the restroom, so many awesome ideas here. The Estate Burger with fries and the Pulled Pork sandwich with Mac n' Cheese were both really delicious, not too dry on the meats and definitely hit my full tank lol The place is very well-maintained like a car garage and of course, the staff was very friendly, especially our server Ashley who went above and beyond during our visit. It was quite a great experience and we did have fun learning about Ford's history.

We were vacationing in the area and decided to try Fords garage. The atmosphere was so interesting down to every detail like the napkin rings to the bathroom sinks. All related to automobiles. The menu was very extensive and offered something for everyone. We decided on sirloin steak which came with two sides. It was cooked to perfection. My daughter tried the chicken bowl which was full of flavor. Our server was not the greatest when it came to attentiveness, but other than that it was a great experience. We would definitely go back.

Had a fantastic lunch at Ford's Garage in St. Augustine and it really exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere stood out right away. The whole garage themed setup is really cool with vintage style decor and a fun, laid back vibe that makes it feel more like an experience than just a place to eat. I ordered a burger and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor with fresh toppings that all came together really well. Definitely one of those burgers where you don't feel like you need to add or change anything because it's already done right. The service was just as good as the food. Rick was our server and he was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out right without rushing us. He checked in at the perfect times and really made the experience even better. The lunch prices were also a nice surprise. For the quality of food and portion sizes, it felt like a great value compared to a lot of other sit down spots in the area. My daughter had the chicken tenders and she really enjoyed them too, which is always a big win. They were crispy, tasty, and came out hot, so no complaints there at all. Overall, everything about the visit was great. Good food, great service, fun atmosphere, and solid prices. We would definitely come back again next time we're in St. Augustine.

I was most excited about the kettle chips and they were the most disappointing... They were not warm and there weren't very many of them. The smoked burnt and melt was good. Kids meals were OK. The pretzels were good. Also the honey mustard was my favorite overall really nice and clean restaurant, but pretty expensive for the value.

Second time at Ford's Garage and just as good as the first time. Sat at the bar and was served by Arron and Kalina who were very attentive. The even answered a few questions that i had about this place. Excellent bartenders! The wife and I rode our Harley's up here from Flagler for another great lunch. Next we're going to try the one in Daytona Beach. Can't wait!

Went for early dinner in St. Augustine, FL. The place is really cool inside & is between 2 actual car dealerships. We both had the Model A It was huge & very good. It was cooked as ordered came out quickly. It had bacon, arugula, red onion, tomato & a fried egg on top. It was delicious but I had to eat with knife & fork. You can substitute for onion rings for an up charge. They were very good & the fries as well. I understand it's a chain. They've done a good job. Service was friendly & prompt. They have other things beside burgers too, big menu. I'd go back again for sure.

    Signature burger

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining there yesterday evening. My wife had the pulled pork with fries and I had the Signature burger with kettle chips. Both were delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff for a wonderful meal. Our experience was enhanced by our server Richard. He was very attentive and you could tell he likes engaging with people. We referred to him as "King Richard"! He is a true asset to the restaurant. We asked Richard to bring the manager to our table so we could tell him about our great experience. Kudos to the kitchen staff for a wonderful meal. Lindsay and Linda Johnson

I would have liked it even more if the earl grey shined thru a little more. My friend had the Madi Cola which was also good. A little too sweet for my palate but it was good! The drinks I had from here were the perfect mix of strong but kept to their profile of flavor that you expected in the description on the menu which I absolutely appreciated. I ordered two side dishes to enjoy as I had a bigger breakfast (I regret now because this is one of those places I wish I could've had the whole menu) I ended up with their Mac & cheese and their deviled eggs. Their Mac & cheese was absolutely delicious. The cheeses they used complemented themselves together beautifully. The crispy outside and the cheesy inside. I genuinely loved every moment of every single bite. The deviled eggs are a new experience I have never had before. They really add their own twist to them with blue cheese and I normally don't fancy a blue cheese but they absolutely knew what they were doing because it complemented the yolk so well. It was such a unique flavor I've never gotten to experience with deviled eggs. And I will never forget it! With everything said in done. I will mention or waitress forgot about us and never brought the sauce I asked for or checked in on us. But again this place carried so heavily with the food that they could have thrown the food at me and told me to get lost and I probably would've left with a smile on my face.

The service was excellent, and the food has that fresh, thoughtful, farm-to-table feel where you can tell care is going into what comes out of the kitchen. For me, one of the biggest highlights was how seriously they take gluten-free dining. I had warm, made-from-scratch gluten-free biscuits with pork belly and a peach bourbon jam, and oh my goodness -- absolutely to die for. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. It is not often that you find a gluten-free biscuit that feels like you are getting the full experience rather than settling for an alternative. I was also impressed by how many gluten-free options they offer. Even their po' boy can be battered with rice flour. Our waiter explained that the chef is gluten-free and that they are very mindful of guests with celiac disease, including separating food preparation when needed. That level of care is a huge plus. And it wasn't just the gluten-free food that impressed us. One friend ordered the meatloaf sandwich and received a seriously hearty piece of meatloaf. My husband had the BLT with pimento cheese on thick sourdough bread, and it was excellent. We also heard that the chicken and waffles, offered during dinner, are a must-try -- so that may be calling us back! The cocktail menu was another win. The drinks were creative, original, flavorful, and clearly thoughtfully crafted rather than just the standard options you see everywhere. Everyone in our group seemed genuinely happy with what they ordered, which says a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative drinks, fantastic food, and some of the best gluten-free options I've come across. Five stars all the way. Our server was top notch, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly but not trying to monopolize our table talk. We started with Cocktails which were all great. I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!

This place was AWESOME. If you're in town - you have to come here! We got a recommendation to come…read morehere from someone at Boat Drinks (another bar/restaurant in town) and I am so glad we did! Walking in, I loved the vibes! It gave modern tiki bar feeling, it was clean and felt very warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender and a very extensive and beautiful leather bound menu! I loved that haha! They had everything from classic tiki drinks, to modern, to drinks by liquor type, etc. It had the food menu, some information about the bar and how it came about. We ordered a few drinks: Bushido Rhapsody (DELICIOUS), Stars & Sarsaparilla (husband liked it) and their currently rotating tiki drink - Escape from Black Mountain, which serves 2 and is served in a cool mug of the bust of Pedro Menendez. You can purchase it as well! It was so good and felt never ending between the 2 of us drinking it. For food we ordered a couple of apps - Cajun Chicken Eggrolls and the Montenegro Meatballs. Both were fantastic!! If we didn't already have dinner plans, we would have stayed here for dinner! Definitely will be coming back here next time we are in town and every time after that!
