Decided to try FW based on a family members glowing recommendation. I normally do not go out for Breakfast so I was intrigued by the Farm to table Breakfast concept. We went on a Tuesday AM and it was practically empty.(unlike weekends when it is reportedly a madhouse) We were seated quickly and our Server was both friendly and nervous. We were on our own in terms of navigating our way through the extensive menu and finally decided on our meals. Ordered an Omelette with various meats and veggies sans mushrooms, and a breakfast wrap. Both items were good and ample but not out of the ordinary. All in the meal was $24 plus tip and from a value standpoint not worth it. Glad I tried it, it just is not my cup of tea, and I do not see myself returning. read more

LOVE this place. Great coffee, cool china, wonderful selection for both breakfast and lunch. Fresh juices are great. Tomato basil soup is excellent. Service is wonderful. Have never had a bad meal and I've been here plenty. I will say the wait on weekends is long- but if you are just a table of 2, they get you in because they have lots of counter seating and deuces. Very family -friendly place. read more

Delicious! Had the avocado toast and eggs. Did NOT disappoint! Yummy It was very busy. Had a ten minute wait which was understandable on Sunday, after church. But, might be good for others to know. Plenty of parking. Very clean. I even saw them sweeping behind furniture. read more

Great food! Southern style with health options! Put yourself in the wait list, as many people know this place is good!

We were given very inaccurate wait times (told 15 minutes; was actually 40+ minutes) and had very slow service. The food was pretty mediocre at best. We came away pretty disappointed after spending $33 on breakfast. The main redeeming quality was that our server was very nice and struck up a great, short conversation with us. read more

WOW, the food was amazing. My first time here and the menu had great variety ranging from simple to complex and a creative variety of health conscious dishes! read more

First watch is one of my favorite places for breakfast. Hubby and I come here at least once a month, we'd come more often if we didn't mind turning into fatties tho. The service is always excellent and the food is soooo yummy!! Today I ordered the lemon custard pancakes and my husband had the chickichanga. The pancakes were so fluffy and yummy and my husband said his meal was delicious too. We'll come back soon for more yummyness! read more

I had an amazing breakfast here! The atmosphere was just right. Not too loud and not too quiet for an early morning meal. My waitress Sky was absolutely phenomenal as she was there whenever I needed her. Their staff was very friendly and I will DEFINITELY come back. I wish I could have more servers like Sky!!!! read more

First Watch - The jump start was really good - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cary, North Carolina

Yes it's a chain but it's one of our favorite brunch spots in the triangle! It does get packed on weekends so I would advise downloading the app and reserving a table ahead of time. Their menu is extensive and has all your essentials. I like their French toast, multigrain pancakes (think huge), chickichanga and tri-athlete (healthy alternative and filling). It's also one of the few brunch spots that can serve a good cup of iced coffee. The kale tonic juice is also a must try for juice junkies read more

Why there aren't more great breakfast spots in Cary I'll never know. But this place has saved the day for us here. (I only wish they'd opened closer to us in West Cary, but I'm not complaining!) This place is the realest. Their coffee is fantastic. Avocado toast is perfection (you had me at Maldon salt). And their breakfast potatoes are what breakfast potatoes should be - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Their lunch options are pretty great too - in fact their Sweet Honey Pecan salad is pure salad goals. I'm borderline obsessed with it. (Sweet/tangy warm honey dijon dressing, avocado, chicken, pecans, bacon, etc...) I keep hearing good things about the lemon ricotta pancakes so I might have to give those a try next time. The place is a zoo at breakfast time on the weekends, so either go early (by 9am) or be prepared to wait. read more

There wasn't anything I didn't love about First Watch. I have had omelets, pancakes and French toast everything was delicious and quickly served. read more

Place was absolutely packed, which is normal for a decent brunch location here. The menu had just enough variety to be interesting, but I went with my old standby, Eggs Benedict. While we waited (and waited... the kitchen was backed up...) for our food, I noticed previous diners at our table had been creatively solving the bus'ing problem by stacking empty creamer tubs into the sugar dish... and basically any other crevice on the table they wouldn't be blown away. I was surprised the staff didn't catch it, but again... super busy. I think I'll wait a bit before popping back in... my Eggs Benedict were served hard-boiled and I was sad that was what awaited me at the end of our journey. By that point, I was too hungry to ask for new poached eggs so we just ate, paid, and left. Haven't written it completely off though! read more

Our meal today - Drinks: turmeric lemon aide and morning meditation Seasonal: millionaire's bacon Entrees: farm stand breakfast tacos and lemon ricotta pancakes Loved everything we got here. The original First Watch is from California, with fresh food being their motto - so it is wonderful to have this restaurant where unlike the brunch places around here that errs on the side of greasy, heavy, buttery and sweet - First Watch is refreshing in that it has lighter versions of the same type of foods found at e.g., Egg&I without sacrificing the portion sizing much. The fresh juices and drinks taste less sugary than other juices I've gotten here in Cary, so I'm very excited to have this as a brunch option. The lemon aide drink was a bit too astringent and sour for me, but if you love ginger and sparkling water, it's pretty good. The morning meditation drink, however, is AMAZING. Also, I love cholula (nothing fancy, just the Mexican style hot sauce that goes well with tacos), which is found on the tables here. I was able to substitute the beans with fresh fruit for my taco dish and although they ran out of millionaire's bacon (~11:30am Sat), they provided us regular bacon on the house (oh well)... Will be back to try next time. There is a nice patio with tables that doesn't face the parking street which is nice - maybe catches the sun a bit much. The set-up within the restaurant is open and modern, so it can get loud. I didn't mind the chaos though. Good location next to the Publix, etc. read more

Love their menu - one of the few places you will find where you can please the entire family (including the annoying family member who is tracking every aspect of their food consumption in preparation for a triathlon as well as the gluttonous piglet who wants to order a breakfast who's calories would be adequate to supply a small city for the day.....staff is always very friendly and nice....it is a big place that can handle a party of 2 or a group of 8 pretty well. It does get VERY busy during the Sunday after brunch hours. Great omelettes, power bowls, eggs Benedict, fresh juice concoctions, as well as all the usual breakfast staples. I have only one small pet peeve....we have been there probably 6-7 times now, usually in a group of 4-8 people and they have yet to be able to bring all our plates out at the same time. I'm not talking 7 plates out and another one 60 seconds later....it is almost always all the plates but 1, followed by a 5 minute wait for the last person. And it is never something exotic or crazy that gets delayed....it is bizarre and we actually joke about it now....I sometimes think maybe they have us on hidden camera and they are going to tell us we are being punked. Not really sure what that's about.....but everyone is real nice, responsive, and the food is good....so we just chalk it up to them being so busy and we consider it a funny quirk of the restaurant..... read more

This is a great breakfast restaurant. My wife and I frequent this place. We come here about twice a week. The manager and a couple of waitresses now recognize us and always stop and say hello. One of the waitresses knows exactly what we want. My wife gets the Farmhouse Skillet and I get the Tri Fecta. We both clean out plates every time. The prices are reasonable and the place is always clean. If you're up in the morning and want a good breakfast, come to this restaurant. I promise you will be satisfied and will not leave hungry. read more

Our server was Emma K. She is the best woman I have ever met. She is very nice and very patient. When we weren't sure what we wanted to order she guided us through the menu and was very helpful. When I first walked through the doors, Emma K greeted me right away. I had just failed my Calculus exam but when she smiled at me all the pain went away. Our food was made with love and it felt like home. When we left, she didn't even ask us to leave a review. I just had to share my lovely experience with the world. Personally, I would give her a 25% raise and two weeks of paid leave. I love you Emma K read more

Emma K. Was a clutchhhhh waiter. Amazing service fr. I felt blessed by her presence, and it felt like home without the abuse.

Great ambience , long line on the weekends though but the food is worth it. I've had their pancakes and their breakfast tacos and the Florentine Benedict all of which don't disappoint. Sometimes you feel rushed as the wait is so long and it's hard to relax but the food was definitely great at the Bradford Cary location read more

Went for breakfast today. The place was hopping, as usual. Used the app to "get in line" and were seated as soon as we walked in. I had a bacon/cheddar omelette (special order) and my husband had the traditional breakfast. Food came out quickly, was fresh and hot, and everything was delicious. Christine was our server, and she was delightful and very responsive. This seems to be one of the rare restaurants in the area that is not understaffed. Great way to kick off our day! read more

It starts with the greeting at the door. Everyone is so happy. Then to sit down and they greeted as fast as we were was amazing! Our server Bill was very recommending of some of the specials. I ended up getting the chorizo sandwich on the small menu and my partner got the crabs eggs Benedict. I can tell you I don't know if it was the service or the flavors? But that was one of the best dining experiences I have had!!! Thank you Bill and the First Watch staff read more

Consider that this place tends to be very busy especially on Sundays with the after church crowd. Yesterday was beautiful outside so when we put our name in for a table of 2 we didn't mind relaxing on their outdoor furniture. Only problem is that 10 mins became 20. Then we were escorted to a dirty table (dishes still there). The hostess complained "busboys don't take dishes anymore"- what?! The manager came over apologized - still had to ask for silverware - and our food took forever! My eggs were so cold I couldn't eat them. On a positive note I do love the avocado toast. This is the 3rd time we've gone these - all 3 times terrible service. read more

Kelly was really nice, an attentive waitress and accommodating. The food was great, we had the florentine bene and the trifecta with cold brew coffee. The syrup came out warm for the waffle, it was a nice touch. Everything was fresh and delicious. We sat near the kitchen and saw a lot of amazing looking dishes come out. I hope to be back again soon. read more

An overall poor experience and I cannot recommend them at all. We went here once pre-COVID and both my eggs and my husband's eggs were overcooked pretty badly. My husband's bacon was also unfortunately burned. It took 40 minutes to receive our food, and when we did, it was overcooked. The waitress was not attentive at all and we had to get out of our seats and get up to find her to tell her of the problem. This is not acceptable for a restaurant that wants our business. One day we were hungry and getting ready to go visit family, so we thought we would give them one more chance. We just wanted to get takeout to take with us. Arrived at the restaurant and was told extremely rudely by the person at the host stand that I needed a mask to pick up takeout. When I explained politely that I have a medical condition (which I do) that precluded wearing a mask, the staff member continued to talk over me and said, that doesn't matter. It is incredible in this day and age that a business that wants customers would treat someone with a (verifiable) medical condition so rudely. I am writing this so others with disabilities will be aware, you won't be treated kindly if you come here. We will never come here again, and advise others to stay away and keep their hard-earned money. read more

Big first watch fan over here! There wasn't a wait at all and everything went smoothly. They serve alcohol now?? amazing. I can't comment on the food because we never had the chance to be seated. We were told 20-30 minutes was the wait time, and while the place was reasonably busy I have seen worse. An hour and fifteen minutes later, and after watching the entire dining room change over and seeing people who arrived after us get seated first, we walked out in disgust. The manager offered up a lame excuse about how our name accidentally got taken off the list, but I asked the hostess multiple times during our wait, and she had no problem finding our name. What a waste of a perfectly nice Sunday morning. read more

We went for breakfast and unaware you could not build your own omelette. My wife had to order one of their signature omelettes and then inform the Server to deduct many items. Everything was "okay" but the portion was very small. I would suggest at least going to tryout it is a nice place with lots of seating. Next time we will try the Belgian Waffle and/or the French Toast, but not any of the omelettes. Great location, Service was good but they need to work on offering a basic omelette. read more
