We had a fire last October, Emergency packout has been the one positive experienc during this trying time. Armando, Osmar and the team were great packing up what was salvageable in our home. During the year and 4 months they had our belongings, we needed a few things, they had no problem bringing us what we needed. Devin, Jessica and the ladies in the office were also very easy to work with. They brought what was left of our belongings back, last week. They set and put together the big items. They had someone come out and fix the scrapes on my bed frame, and lastly I was reimbursed for my damaged fireplace. I understand people have "off" days and that must have been what I experienced. I have never heard about Emergency Packout Co before, but after the water disaster in our home, and with Manny from Home Perfect Restoration recommended them, I'm a big fan. Chris, with the crew arrived promptly and all the belongings from the dining room, family room, living room and kitchen were loaded into a Pods, which was conveniently posted in our driveway. On the unloading task back into our home, Alexis and the crew did it at the exact places, as it was filmed on the I-Pad, originally by Chris. At the end we made the pictures with Alexis and the crew as in one happy family. 2 summers ago I was living in a condo in University City with my roommates when a fire was sparked by a plumber's torch burning and damaging part of our unit. After the fire, the Emergency Packout Co presented themselves as the emergency responders to the site to help pack out our belongings to be kept, stored, and eventually cleaned and returned back to us. Upon meeting Mark and his team, everything seemed to be going well. The team was professional and my roommates and I were assured there was nothing to worry about and we would get all of our recoverable belongings back, it was just a matter of time to wait and have our belongings sorted, cleaned, and re-distributed back to us after payment by insurance was made to the EPC. I ended up getting almost everything back, which was great. However, there was one item that meant a lot to me: my black Asus laptop, which I had used throughout high school and into my first 2 years of college. This laptop meant a lot to me because of the countless memories of pictures, videos, files I had stored on it. Prior to the fire, I had it stored in the closet of my bedroom. My bedroom was one of the rooms unaffected by the fire's embers, and I only had smoke damage to my belongings. Rick was my accompanier into the condo after the fire, and was sincere, friendly, and assured that I would get all my belongings back after special fire-damage cleaning was performed. I followed up with the EPC a couple months later to see if they had seen my black laptop. Danny and Rick, who I had been in touch with, did not remember where it would be because their inventory tracking system marked everything in my room....but not my laptop? If I would have known there was a chance my laptop would be missing, I would have grabbed it right after the fire... Almost a year went by until my roommates and I finally disputed the insurance claims we had put through to pay for the cleaning fees for our belongings by the EPC, and I still remember that my laptop was nowhere to be found. I was very upset and to this day, I do not understand how a professional business like the EPC, with their advanced inventory tracking software and well-intentioned team could have misplaced such a personal belonging that meant so much to me, especially since they are dealing with very personal items from the homes of strangers. I never had the choice to choose who would be responsible for packing out my belongings and I'll never understand how this laptop was misplaced. I honestly can't think of any other reason. None of my other roommates had the issue of misplaced items that were recoverable after the fire.... Danny and Rick were nice and supportive throughout the whole process, however, after there seemed to be no trace of it at the storage facility where I picked up my belongings, no one seemed to have an answer or an inkling as to where my laptop was when they packed it out. I still remember going back to the house shortly after the fire just hoping it would be there and looking in my old bedroom of the vacated and stripped down condo. After some hassle and dispute of being ignored, they reached out to me and offered a credit of the monetary value of the laptop, which was considerate. Wow, this is one of those companies that you would give more than 5 stars if you could! Like other reviewers we had water damage and first met the crew the day of the flood. They came in and efficiently removed all of our belongings and set up a pod in the driveway for things we might need. They were friendly and respectful and assured us that they would bring us back any belongings that we found that we needed. When this restoration stretched on for months we asked if we could get our treadmill back and they brought it up right away. Today we had the pack back and again, the crew was wonderful. They were efficient and respectful of our belongings and moved things around when I asked. They also hauled away things we didn't need or want anymore! I wish I had everyone's name but Osmar was here every step of the way and couldn't have been more helpful. I believe it was Eduardo (I apologize if I have the name wrong) who was also overseeing the pack back and also was incredibly helpful. Even thought Armando wasn't here for every step he was so efficient in getting everything scheduled and made sure things went smoothly. And lastly I can't say enough about Kristy. She was my teammate in dealing with an impossible insurance adjuster and she never gave up. She worked so hard and kept me in the loop every step of the way until we finally were able to reach a resolution. So, this is one of those companies you probably never want to need but when you do they are the best! read more

We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that trickled down to my office. It was already a stressful situation, but Emergency Packout was the shining light through the entire process. They arrived on time, packed everything in my office, and put everything back exactly as it was. Not only are they quick about it, but they are complete professional. The guys were great to talk to and made sure I knew what was going to take place. We elected to have the POD storage in our driveway and come tax time, we needed to get in so we can get some of our tax paperwork. Jessica set it up to not only get the POD open, but they made sure we got everything we needed before leaving. These guys are rock stars. Dan (President) is a super cool dude very understanding and helpful. Rick Phillips was our Project Manager and definitely an asset to the team. Super cool, professional and extremely helpful. It's clear customers come first at EPC. We had a flood and had to move items out so crews can come in and repair and reconstruct our home. The entire reconstruction process took about 5 months and EPC looked after our belongings. We got everything back in the same condition and with no dirt or dust! They took their time to wrap, cover and protect all of our belongings and were extremely responsive when we were ready to have out items moved back in. I love the fact that they wear shoe covers which not very many vendors do. They breakdown and put everything all back to together which is AWESOME! They moved about 95% of our items back into our home but our floor tiles were not in installed yet so we had exposed concrete subfloors with construction dirt and dust so Dan offered to put our sofa in his own personal storage space until we were ready to have them deliver it. I don't write many reviews on yelp, but need to give credit when credit is due. Emergency Packout has been one of those rare service companies that stand out amongst the best of the best. My Mom's home suffered from extensive smoke damage in which everything in her entire home had been effected. EPC was partnered with another restoration company we hired for the structural damage, and now we know why. They have the highest of standards and quality, they are detail oriented in everything they do, and the R&D they put into the technology and products is far ahead of any of the other companies in their industry. It's a weird feeling at first when strangers have to go through all your personal belongings to be packed up and stored somewhere you have no idea. Any worries were quickly erased when we noticed the care and attention the packers were giving to all of our items. From the way they used shoe covers to walk around, to the care they put into wrapping our fragile items, also they were very polite and could tell they cared about their job. It was easy for us to leave and run errands while leaving them to do the job. When we got all of our stuff back, we found it clean with no smoke residue and everything reassembled and put in exactly how it was before. Another thing that we found impressive was the use of the latest products and technology. They use bio and environmentally safe products to clean everything which makes us feel safe to not worry about allergies or reactions to chemicals when getting our stuff back. Also the use of 3D scanning when we had our initial walk through which documented the state of every room in the house which easily provides a record for any questions that might come up. They handled their part faster than any of the other companies dealing with our claim and everyone was surprised that we had the pack back in less than two weeks! They are very responsive to any of our calls and proactive in dealing with all of the intricacies that arise. One of the main issues that we came across, and that we imagine a lot of other people will come across is dealing with adjusters and insurance. Delays, disputes and payments are unfortunately a game that insurance companies like to play. We were disheartened when our insurance company were trying to delay and dispute a large portion of the job, but EPC helped us deal with them. EPC will only bill according to industry standards, and in the end our insurance company ended up paying for the entire job, but it took a lot of patience from us and EPC. They were very professional in dealing with a two month delay in payment. I would highly recommend EPC to anyone who has to deal with unfortunate circumstance of a home insurance claim. July 28th, 2016: Two summers ago, my roommates and I had a fire in our condo due to an accident caused by a plumber next door. As a result of smoke damage and asbestos, we were unable to take anything with us that day Mark and his team arrived the next day to help walk us through the restoration process and cataloged all of our belongings. They were very professional, and knew exactly what they were doing. Mark gave us a 3D rendering of the building as well as estimates of the damages. Seeing as how there was a lot of stuff in the house, the process took quite some time. I cannot speak to what my roommates think, but my experience with EPC was excellent. They communicated clearly, got things done in a timely manner and were more than willing to work with us and our questions. Chris from Emergency Packout was dispatched and sent once Home Perfect Emergency Services came to our home. From the very beginning we were blown away by their professionalism and state-of-the-art technology. Due to the extent of damage in our home it was necessary for us to remove our things from our home to complete the work. At first it was strange to have strangers going through our things and photographing every item but after an hour you watch how incredibly careful they are with each item and you begin the trust process! They catalog every item, each piece of art work on the walls is individually wrapped and packed, every piece of furniture is wrapped also. It's crazy the amount of work that went in to this move. The crew worked long hours and never complained! Not one item was mistreated or handled improperly. I even joked with them when they were wrapping something that was incredibly delicate that if you "break it you bought it"! These folks cared about us and our home. The first day at our home they went to eat out in their trucks and they had been so kind my wife and offered them to have lunch on our patio and relax. They even offered to buy our lunch! Chris and his crew were able to stay on track with our timeframe, never complained, were respectful, and were extremely kind and sympathetic of our feelings of being displaced. The day our things started arriving, shoes were removed, or booties were put on not to mar our new floors. They even put scratch resistant pads under each furniture item that I had planned to apply. It was crazy how spot on they were with item placement, down to how watch placement was on my dresser. Not one item was broken, scratched, or damaged. There were several times we were not able to be home when they were packing and we never hesitated to leave a key to gain entry. In today's day it is refreshing to be able to trust someone. I WISH we would have used this company!!! My neighbors used this company for their packout when their house flooded, and had nothing but GREAT things to say about them!! Nothing was lost or stolen and they were extremely professional. I unfortunately had a drunk driver drive into the side of our house at 2am in the morning and there was asbestos present after the impact... I used a company called 1-800-board up which is affiliated with America's restoration and Contents... It was the worst decision of my life... they were shady on every level... we have things unaccounted for and they are taking NO responsibilty for anything missing. I still have not received an inventory photo list of our things and they definitely didn't use 3D videos or anything modern. I called up Chris from Emergency Packout, and he was soooo nice and helpful. We didn't even use them, but he took time out of his busy day to try to help us...that says a lot!!!! Dan, Stephanie and the team from Emergency Packout Co took excellent care of my mom during her floor replacement. The leak, that turned into a restoration and remediation were really stressful. There team was amazing. They brought two containers and placed theon the driveway. My house flooded with sewage water two months ago and I have never been through the process of filing a homeowners insurance claim. The insurance was hard to deal with, most of the contractors were ok but unfortunately the restoration contractor I chose was a nightmare and did a terrible job putting my house back the way it was. Emergency pack out was the only contractor that did an awesome job, all of there crew was respectful and polite, and there process was very streamlined and efficient. The pack out and pack back went very smooth and both times they had 6-7 crew members at my house. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I had some water damage at my house and all of my belongings needed to be removed quickly so construction could begin. They did a great job of getting everything out and took a lot of care to make sure all of my belongings were well taken care of during the month of construction. When I was ready to move back in, they came out and moved everything back in and set up everything in my house just the way it was, even making the beds, helping me get my tv's all set up again and hanging pictures. They even made sure to vacuum and dust before they left. They were very professional, clean and helpful. As a project manager for a San Diego restoration contractor, there is now one aspect of the emergency services that I no longer have to worry about - Contents! I had a restaurant fire in Del Mar back in March and I needed packout support - the only problem, it was 10pm in the evening. Despite that their warehouse is in San Marcos and it was the middle of the night, both Stephanie and Dan arrived within an hour or so and their crew of 4 techs trickled in a few minutes after. Within 90 minutes they firing on all cylinders, inventorying salvageable and non-salvageable items while simultaneously packing out the kitchen contents. They also spearheaded the relocation of the kitchen range, I did not even have to get involved. I was busy getting the permits to put the sprinkler system in test mode anyhow. By the time I got back to the property in the morning, they had relocated the range to the one of the secure storage units they had delivered. The kitchen staff and front of-the-house employees kept their uniforms in the lockers that were exposed to the fire and soot. All the textiles had smoke damage. Stephanie arranged for the uniforms and personal affects to be restored and returned to each employee within two days. She personally delivered the individual pressed bundles, with individual names of each employee on the bundle, I guess she got their names from the locker by which the contents was stored/removed. As I understand it, State Farm could not extend coverage to the personal items (street clothes), but Stephanie took that in stride and took care of that aspect at no additional cost. The State Farm adjuster on the project explained that he likes working with EPC, that was confidence inspiring and put me as the PM at ease. Stephanie put together a whole list that defined what furniture was to be restored on site and what furniture was not feasible to restore (mostly Ikea stuff). They had the secure storage unit delivered and then stored off site. This was a complex project and I was ever so glad it did not all fall all in my plate - I would have been in the weeds. Between the ultrasonic cleaning, electronics cleaning, contents inventory, soft goods processing, along with the cleaning, sanitizing of salvageable contents - it would have been too much to handle with all the structural aspects I needed to worry about. If you are a San Diego PM in the Restoration space, and you have a messy one with artwork restoration, commercial appliances, furniture restoration, collectibles etc. that have been affected by fire, water, sewage and other hazardous conditions, you now know who to call. read more

I did not select Emergency Packout to take care of what was needed in my house -- removing ALL of my furnishings and personal items when a pipe burst in our home and ran unchecked for two days. My wife and I were, in fact, in the middle of Iceland when it happened -- how much removed could we be? But somehow our daughter-in-law knew whom to call, and the rest is emergency services history. Once we returned and were able to begin dealing with Chris and his team ourselves, their responsiveness and commitment to excellence was beyond expectations.
