First insight to the process. I worked with Madi to coordinate the move. We did a virtual call so he could review the inventory to create the quote. This is my fourth time using movers and this was the most seamless. He sent the quote with the initial estimate. Moving on to the actual move. The communication from the team was great. I received a call from Ivan letting me the arrival eta. The team ( Ivan, Diego, and Arthur) was amazing, they were friendly, professional and worked fast while being respectful of my items. I moved out of my 2bed into a 1bed from Mira Mesa to Clairemont and it was my first time using movers. Gotta say, it was totally worth it. I lived at my last place for 4 years and have accumulated a lot of things over the years (including furniture) that I wasn't prepared or willing to move myself. Chris and Michael showed up early to set up the truck and was helpful. They packed up so many things that I didn't even know was possible to get packed (including my 48" squishmellow hah). The moving process was much easier and less backbreaking with them packing/moving things than me doing it myself. Only reason I deducted a star is because the estimated moving time was 3 hours but the move ended up being closer to 5 hours instead. I paid in cash to save some money but ended up being $60 short because of the over time. Overall, 10/10 would hire movers again. I'm too old to move all these big furniture and boxes by myself with friends. read more

Everything with this company was easy as could be from the initial reservation, the TWO times I had to reschedule, the lovely young gentlemen that came to move my belongings, down to the the phone call the day after to make sure everything went well. This was the second company I hired for my partial condo move. The first one only had a 26 foot truck and no other options. I found this out only a few days before we were supposed to move the first time. We were only moving half of our belongings! I told them when I made the reservation. I was feeling a little stressed and came to yelp to get mover quotes from multiple movers. I ended up picking Sunshine Moving and was so grateful they were able to accommodate a next day move for a very reasonable price and they did a great job for us. The movers showed up early at the ABF location. I was so happy to see them as we were already there. They helped us unload the items from the container to their truck and then drove to our place. They did a great job and were very careful with our items. There is a 3 hour minimum but they were done well before then since we opted to do the unpacking of the boxes ourselves. They did help us bring the heavy items up the stairs and placed them in the location we requested. I would definitely use them again for our next move. read more

We walked through the entire place and Sam asked if I would like anything specially wrapped in plastic to ensure the items do not get damaged. From the very beginning Sunshine was very professional and courteous. I liked they fact that the owner took time to call me and walk through what I needed and from their experience in moving knew exactly what I would need to make the move that I required. On move day, they kept me informed when they would arrive and came on time. The movers were very courteous and worked with me on what would go where. And they were fast but very careful with my things. They completed early and my final cost was less than they had quoted originally. They got everything placed where I asked and moved things for me if it didn't work. Having had back surgery a year and a half ago, I can't do certain things and they accommodating me nicely. While my original experience with how the storage unit was packed was frustrating, the owner followed up, took responsibility, and sent a team back out to reorganize everything at no additional cost. The second team, Erkosh, Diego, and Rocky did a much better job organizing the unit, creating a walkway, properly placing furniture, and taking extra care with wrapping and securing items. In addition, the company offered a partial refund to make up for the inconvenience, which I appreciate. Overall, while the initial experience wasn't ideal, I do value the effort made to correct it and the level of customer service shown in resolving the issue. ---------------------- UPDATE: After posting my original review, the company reached out to me directly almost immediately and offered to come back and reorganize my storage unit at no additional cost. I do appreciate that they took responsibility and are working to resolve the situation. I will update this review again after the reorganization is completed to reflect the final outcome and overall experience with their customer service and follow-through. ---------------------------------------- I had a very disappointing experience with this moving service, especially considering the cost. For approximately $650 for about 3 hours of work, I expected a reasonable level of care, organization, and professionalism. While the team did move my belongings into the storage unit, the way everything was packed showed a clear lack of attention to detail. Large, fragile items like my flat-screen TVs were placed directly at the unit's entrance, making them vulnerable to damage. Boxes were stacked without any clear organization; many were turned around so that labels were not visible; and items were not arranged stably or logically. Several belongings I specifically wanted to keep accessible are now buried and difficult to reach. Additionally, some items were packed into boxes by the movers without any labels or indication of what was inside, making it even more difficult to locate essential items. Trash -- including food waste -- was also left behind in my cart, which created a strong odor and is completely unacceptable in a storage environment. I had communicated ahead of time that I was not feeling well, and I was reassured that the team would take care of everything so I wouldn't have to worry. I did briefly step away to get cash for payment and ensure nothing was left behind at the apartment, and when I returned, the truck had already been fully unloaded and packed into the unit. Despite this, I had provided clear instructions on how certain items (especially electronics) should be handled and stored, but they were not followed. I am only now able to fully assess the condition of the unit after recovering from illness, and the issues with how everything was packed are still clearly evident. Even without constant supervision, I expected a basic level of professionalism. Instead, the packing felt rushed and careless, and I now have to go back and reorganize the unit myself. We just had Sunshine moving move two beds and a couch and a recliner (just some of the bigger items amongst other furniture that was moved) from my in laws two story home to an ADU on our property. CALL THEM FIRST! I had the best experience with Madi and the Sunshine Movers team. I had to use them for moving a ton of potted plants from one house to another and then again to move furniture. They took great care in moving everything and the pots from the plants and plants themselves came over without a hitch! The furniture was so well packed that there was not even a single casualty! I had a terrible experience calling other companies, terrible customer service and overall I was getting so frustrated. When I called Sunshine Movers I was stunned at how quickly they got back to me and how fast I got a quote. *note: as a rule from my experience, you should always add a couple more hours than what is quoted to you. Never is the time less and if you add the coupe extra hours on your estimate you will be prepared for it. * Don't forget to tip your movers. Good moving experience with Sunshine movers! It was easy to get a quote and get scheduled less than a week before our move. We did get an afternoon slot, and when the movers morning job took longer than they estimated, we got a late start and didn't finish up till almost midnight. i Hired this company to move me. They came on a Saturday, and started moving my belongings.when the truck was loaded they went back inside and noticed that the valve for the icemaker was dripping and attempted to shut it off. When I came the next day, kitchen and the bedroom behind the kitchen were both flooded. I had to pay over $5,000 to have walls and carpet taken out and repaired. I asked them to help me on for it, but they refused, saying that it wasn't their fault. Please don't use this company, they are crooks! they also had young men that didn't know how to pack. read more
