He pointed out potential issues with certain carpets that nobody else mentioned. I worked with Unique on two projects. Tops 3 things about Unique: - great service. The team really cares about the customers needs - fair pricing- we looked at installers who had no store fronts, thinking they'd charge less without the overhead and all, but uniques pricing was on par. Pricing is very competitive - They have a large range of flooring selections The second time i worked with unique (tony's my guy) was a flood situation. Tony picked up my distressed call on a sunday even though they aren't open that day. He came asap to survey the work and provided and estimate same day. He has great communication and follow up to make sure client needs are met. I cant ask for better service Lastly the dude that installs the floor (fred) really takes pride in his work. Had our homes floors done a little over a year ago and went with the LVP downstairs and LVP in both bathrooms and went with the thicker and heavier nylon carpet for upstairs w/LVP in upstairs bathroom vanity. I wish I would have primed and painted the floor boards in Downstairs bathroom because it's got a little water staining going on. I waited a while to write this but I have to give credit where it is due. Tony and his crew did solid work. I was a little bummed they used my garage for storage over Christmas break and blocked off my freezer but I got over it . Once they got the carpet up off the concrete slab I was amazed at how much my floors needed leveled and was a bit upset over not knowing that extra cost with that but I can understand how if you want perfectly level floors for best longevity, they will last and not pop up then, make sure they're leveled. They did a lot of water proofing tar on the slab where it needed it too. Tony had sent a father/son crew of 2 to knock it all out and I am delighted at how it turned out and is still holding up nice. They gave me a heads up on the soft spots on the upstairs floors and let me fix my own board replacements on old creaky first steps and floors around the bed upstairs. I even found a little surprise under the steps from '87 when the house was built. If you are deciding who to go with, give this business a call. read more

Good, but be careful! The salesperson, the carpet and the installation was very good. My gripe is that I was sold way more carpeting than was necessary to the tune of about 35 per cent overage. I had carefully measured my carpeting needs leaving 15 percent overage. I understand that 5 to 15 percent waste is typical. Tony, the owner who is a very nice guy came to my house. He didn't disagree with my calculation, but he put great doubt in my wife's mind that it was enough carpeting. Now I'm stuck with a large remnant. If I were you, I'd perhaps see what other vendors come up with as far as calculations for your job. read more

I replaced tile in a bathroom with laminate wood. The install was fine except that the quarter round for the base board was not provided and my husband had to go to Hone Depot to provide it for the worker. Is this typical for a flooring company to not have standard baseboard material?!?! The worker also installed the wrong baseboard after he had asked my husband. It was too tall and did not match the rest of the house so we had to remove it which left imperfections on the wall. I would not use this company again. read more
