We were very happy with our experience with Regal Flooring. We were looking to replace worn carpet and outdated wood floors as well as baseboards and door casings. The showroom is packed with high quality products, particularly engineered hardwood. And the pricing was very competitive. The install was well-coordinated and smooth. Thanks again to Scott, Alex, Rob, Dan, Rodrigo, Roger, Junior, and Adam for getting everything done in a few weeks. The new engineered wood floors look great and so does the new trim. read more

Carpets replaced in our bedrooms by Regal Flooring. Exceptional installation. Hector the installer arrived promptly on the morning of install and worked tirelessly throughout the day to move furniture, remove old carpet and pads, and install the new pads and carpet. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Thanks to Sean at Regal for helping get started by coming to take measurements and helping us pick out the best carpet option for us at the shop. Next we will be looking to replace our floor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Highly recommend! My contractor recommended Scott when I wanted to rip up outdated hardwood flooring in 5 rooms with a more contemporary and clean look. Heather helped me select the flooring and was great. Scott did an amazing job coordinating to get a huge crew so minimal inconvenience for us. Alex was the crew leader and he was fantastic-- very attentive with a great sense of humor too. This was not an easy job and there were quite a few technical issues to overcome. They were professional and considerate. The flooring looks fantastic with only 2 weeks to do this whole job including coordinating with a demo and a new fireplace install. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I was so happy and impressed with Regal Flooring the first time I worked with them, but I was very disappointed the second time around, and I no longer recommend working with this business. First time, I was putting in hardwood flooring throughout my home. Fred was very attentive and I received top-notch service and beautiful floors. Last year, I finally moved forward with putting a carpet runner on the stairs. A small job but important to me. Fred remembered me, was all smiles and said he'd come out to measure. Then he told me to work with a gentleman whose name, I think, was "Chuck". I picked out samples to take home with me, and the gentleman wrote down my name, phone number and job information on a scrap of paper. When I went back days later to return the samples and let the gentleman know which carpet I'd selected, he didn't know who I was and couldn't find the scrap of paper with my information. So, I gave him the information again, and again he wrote it on a scrap of paper. I asked when Fred would come to measure. The gentleman didn't know. He said they'd call me. After about a week of waiting, I called the shop and spoke with the same gentleman, who again didn't know who I was and couldn't find my information. I asked to speak with Fred, and he said Fred was out of the country and he didn't know when Fred would return. The experience continued to go downhill, ultimately resulting in Fred's son calling me to schedule a measuring appointment, then calling me at the last minute to reschedule due to a family emergency. He said he'd call me later that day to reschedule, and I never heard from him again. Hey Fred, if you weren't interested in doing a very small job for me, I wish you'd been honest about it rather than waste my time. read more

We used Regal Flooring about 2 months ago to replace some aged carpet in our home. Fred was extremely helpful in finding a product and follow up communication. When we ran into a problem with the product that was out of his control, Fred went above and beyond to make it right. Their installer did a great job and we love our new carpet. I've come to expect terrible customer service these days, so finding a business with integrity is refreshing. I would strongly recommend you give them a visit. read more

Regal Flooring did an outstanding job of installing our Laminate flooring. Sean, Junior and Steven were awesome and they are exceptionally skillful and talented in their line of work. I had been to pretty much every flooring store in San Diego, and just couldn't find what I was looking for. I almost resorted to "winging it" and ordering flooring online. Then, my interior designer friend told me about this shop. Regal Flooring. She said she always goes to these guys for flooring because they have such great options and service and pricing. Wow am I glad she told me about them. They have the most fantastic collection of flooring. You can tell they are really thinking about what people want, current trends and the most popular classics. The show room is loaded with beautiful options. We found the most gorgeous wood flooring there. And the installation was flawless. It totally transformed our home. It's a small family run business too, which I love. The owner is Fred, and his two sons also help with customer service in the show room. They're all so nice, so helpful, and have such a welcoming positive vibe. It's in a beautiful shopping center near the beach too, with easy parking. Anyways, I'm so glad we found this hidden Gem! Our home now looks like it's out of a an interior design magazine. We're so happy : ) Thanks guys! read more

Fred the owner was very nice and his selection of wood flooring was very good quality at an affordable price. His cousin, Abe, and crew installed the wood in our 3 bedrooms and master closet. Their work was clean, fast and professional. They did an amazing job and Abe was very communicative throughout the process. We also ordered tiles from Fred and have met his tile subcontractor, Joe, who is also very nice. The tile work is scheduled for next month. We highly recommend Regal Flooring! read more

We could not be more happy with Regal Flooring! Used them 1st time about 5 years back and after a slab leak, using them for a second time. Scott in the shop has been tremendous, but Clemente on the install is beyond phenomenal, give him a raise. A class act and truly a hard worker. Of all of the contractors and work we have had done over the past several years, Clemente and his team have worked harder than anyone, unreal dedication to the job and details! read more

We ordered carpet from here in September. This was honestly my favorite part of decorating a new home (and I hate interior designing...just not my forte). We walked in and were greeted by friendly staff. We told them what we were looking for and they invited us to just pull all the samples from the wall we liked and pile them up. So much fun! Then we told them our price point and they eliminated the samples that were over that. We were left with 7 samples, which they invited us to take home for a few days. We laid them out in the new space and saw them in different lights before choosing our favorite. They were able to schedule pretty quickly and were professionals when installing. There is only one seam you can see in our carpet, and they told us a few things we can do to make it less noticeable. I wouldn't recommend this place for tile, because we didn't have the best experience on that front, but carpet was solid. read more

My wood installer recommended Regal. I had been to several places and had really struggled to find a wood floor which I loved. They have a GREAT selection and the pricing is also excellent. I compared pricing on wood floors which I had seen at other stores and Regal was consistently better.... this made me feel comfortable buying a flooring which I had not seen elsewhere, but was of a similar price point. They do allow the warranty to be in effect when installed properly by a licensed person even if they do not do the install, which I appreciated! I am working with a general on a large project, and I wanted her to coordinate with her subs... and that all worked out. I picked California Classics, Mediterranean, Calypso. Loving it! read more

Awesome Design Service and Excellent Customer Service This is the best design center in all of San Diego. It is a family owned shop that really has the best customer service of all design centers I have been to. They spend the extra time to get to know you and help you select products that will work with your home. The prices are reasonable & comparitive to the bigger shops, but the design experience in helping you select is priceless! I purchased all of the carpet and tile for my home from Regal Flooring. I am now in the process of purchasing the Kitchen Backsplash from them (a natural stone / Glass tile combo). This was a challenging kitchen backsplash project but Victoria at this shop was willing to think about it over several days , come out to my house to see the rest of the decor I have, and come up with a pattern for my kitchen that will really work. I am so excited. Thank you. The owner Fred and his daughter Heather are also wonderful to work with. The shop has everything from the basics to the high end tiles, hardwood floors, carpets. They can get samples which is so helpful. read more

If you're looking for a company to source and install flooring, look no further! Regal Flooring is a family-owned business that lives up to all of the 5-star reviews you are reading here. We were referred to Regal Flooring and its owner, Fred, for our flooring project. We bought a house in La Costa back in April 2013 and the cheap laminate flooring that had been poorly installed was a mess. It was not installed correctly--namely, the concrete foundation was not prepared properly--and it had cracks and buckles everywhere. After obtaining multiple flooring estimates from local and national companies in the area, we were feeling disenchanted with the whole process. We couldn't get answers to our basic questions, and felt like we were getting the runaround and were setting ourselves up for disaster. In came Fred and Regal Flooring to the rescue. After I first contacted Fred, he immediately responded, set up a time to come take measurements in the next day or two, and took care to understand our budget and our goal for the project. He recommended a beautiful acacia flooring that was exactly what we were looking for, and was able to get us a great price on it. As a first-time homeowner and doing our first major project, we naturally had a lot of concerns and a lot of questions. Fred and his staff were patient, responsive, and extremely knowledgable and informative. Choosing them to do our flooring project was a no-brainer. Less than a month later, our entire project (1000 sq. ft. of engineered hardwood flooring in our downstairs) is done and we couldn't be happier! The job was completed on time and without issue. Our house is seriously transformed, and we are so appreciative of Fred and his team for delivering on their word. I also want to give a raving review for the installer, Sam, who was extremely competent, respectful, and accommodating. Nobody likes having strangers in their house for a week during remodeling, and we were especially wary because my wife is currently on maternity leave with our 3-month old daughter. But in line with the professionalism we experienced with Regal's sales staff, Sam the installer was a true gentleman and we were immediately comfortable with having him and his team in our home. If you're still reading this review, what more can I tell you? Pick up the phone and call Regal Flooring now! read more

Regal fluorine just finish my staircase and upstairs hallway. From the very beginning, I can tell you they were extremely professional, followed up on everything they said, showed up on time, checked in with me during the process to make sure that I was happy, and the result is high-quality work. I have not had good experiences with contractors in the past, but these guys are very much on top of their game. Scott, in the store, spent lots of time with us showing us our options and explaining every detail so that we can make an informed decision. Then Steve and Javier did the demolition and construction of the stairway, hallway, with a high-quality attention to detail. The end result; they definitely deserve five stars. read more

I chose Regal Flooring as they had a significant price difference than their competitors. I was nervous about spending a significant amount of money without meeting people or seeing the business. I searched the BBB to find they have a high rating so took the plunge. The communication via chat as I awaited the arrival of my delivery was great and kept my concern down. The day the floor arrived at the warehouse the 3rd party said i had to wait until the next week. I called Regal and they "made it happen" I was able to pick up my flooring as planned. I appreciate the extra effort to take care of me as a customer and saving money is always a significant bonus! read more

Thanks to the team at Regal for the amazing job they did on our stairs. I hate carpet on stairs! They ripped it up and laid down some awesome laminate plank and we are super happy! Regal Flooring is the only flooring center you should consider! My wife and I decided to pull out all of the hardwood in our house and lay down new French oak. We visited numerous shops, looked at all kinds of materials, and settled on working with Rrgal Flooring. I knew Regal was the right place after having Fred, the owner, over to review the project. Fred has deep experience in this business and was able to identify details in our old house that changed the material we decided to use. There were door jam variances, numerous other technical details that Fred knew, others never brought up. His installment crew was amazing. Abe, Latif and company did am incredible job, very detail oriented. They finished ahead of schedule! I have never seen a crew work so hard. Regal's prices were fair too, and Fred even had a special finish guy come in for some last minute details around the fireplace and garage door entry that were more specific. The whole experience was great, thank you Fred, we are now enjoying the beautiful floors for the holidays. read more

We were buying a new house and knew we wanted to get hardwoods installed upstairs. The builder was charging an arm and a leg so we had the builder install carpet and we said we'd get someone to install the hardwood after we bought the home. We called around and got three estimates. Regal flooring was not the very cheapest (all were in same close range), but at the end of the day it didn't come down to only price. We thought we wanted the stairs to be wood also. Scott and Dan met us at the model homes and discussed with us in detail the advantages and options available to redo the stairs. Unfortunately due to design of the house and budget it wasn't really feasible in the near term to do the stairs. However, we did hire Scott and Regal to do the hardwoods on the whole second level of our new home. We penciled in the target date of occupancy and asked that because we wanted the house done quickly - so we could actually live in it - could we get 2 crews of guys to work on the floors to get it done 2X as quick. Scott said we could - as we were scheduling out a month plus - as the house wasn't quite finished yet. This was a big deal for us - as we were transitioning from Chicago. Regal's two crew started promptly the day after we took possession. The crew was on time, polite, hard working, diligent and cleaned up daily. The crew started by taking out the brand new pad and carpet and neatly rolled it. They knew we were going to donate the carpet to habitat for humanity so they were careful about taking it out in large pieces, rolling it and they even measured the pieces as required by Habitat. It was great that we were able to benefit a worthy cause with our newly ripped out new carpet and we got the support of the team to do that... The hardwoods were installed in less time than originally estimated. I believe the original estimate was 8 - 10 days - as it was appx 2000 sq ft. The crew worked 6 days a week and the work was done in 6 days. We'd scheduled the movers for day 8 and told the crew that - so we all knew that if the trim wasn't done by then - they'd be working around the movers... ;) I love my new floors, they match the hardwood downstairs perfectly. The entire team was effective, conscientious about their work and the floors are beautiful. There was tile and travertine that the floors had to butt up against and the transitions were all handled very well. The guys even touched up the paint in the areas where there were inevitable dings. Towards the end of the job, Fred the owner stopped by to check on the progress - which was appreciated. Knowing the whole team cares about the delivery / installation is huge. Lastly, knowing this is a family run business makes this purchase even more satisfying. I very strongly urge you to contact Regal floors for your work. We will be going to regal when we need to redo the carpet on the stairs and would strongly encourage others to give them a shot for their flooring needs as well. read more

Expected soooooo much more from this highly recommended business. They dropped the ball so many times, it's like they don't know how to play ball; or where the ball is: or care where the ball is; A long history of satisfied customers has just come to an end; maybe because the owner is phasing out and his son is taking over without the same ethics or attention to detail. I will advise my realtor, friends, neighbors, relatives, anyone who is considering REGAL to RECONSIDER, or they will be living a nightmare when renovating. Should not be allowed into your home without booties and hand washing, even then; should not be invited into your home. What happened to my 10 star service? when I paid more than 10 stars worth of service I did not receive. Shameful read more
