Solana Flooring - Simple but just right! - Flooring Near Me - Solana Beach, California

Solana Flooring did an expert installation of Mamre Cascades oak throughout my home five years ago. To prepare, they made sure the surface was perfectly level, which meant grinding the 1968 cement slab in a few spots. Their thoroughness so impressed my general contractor, he told me he wished they worked for HIM! For some recent home repairs, painters had used blue 3M masking tape to tape Ram Board down throughout, to protect the wood floor. Weeks later, when the Ram Board was finally removed, I could see stripes of of sticky tape residue on my lovely wood floor. Aargh!! I tried several home methods, but it just would not come off. I didn't want to risk damaging the floor with steel wool. So I called Solana Flooring. The owner, Mik, came over that very day to take a look. The next day, two of his workers arrived, inspected the areas, and applied a specialized, professional oil product, rubbing the areas with a soft cloth. Every bit of the adhesive is gone, and my floor looks great. Professional, personalized installation and floor care - that's Solana Flooring read more

AVOID for all reasons. Please ask me about my experience :) too much to put here. not a star more than 1. Won't accept credit card, debit card, cashiers checks. Only cash. Held our flooring hostage and delayed project ultimately 3 days when he got our business initially because he promised a time. Shady. Go to Mighty Millworks or Miramar direct. Even picking up the flooring he send you out to Miramar to pick it up yourself. read more

Solana Flooring are professional perfectionists; as a retired dentist I appreciate that. From the design phase to final installation every step was completed with care, attention to detail and completed on time. They treated us and our house with respect, cleaning up with care like we actually lived there. When the painter arrived he was so impressed with the fit and finish he wanted to know who it was so he could refer to them because it made his job easy. We could not be more pleased with our new floor. read more

We replaced the carpet with a wood floor. We went to a few stores, and Solana Flooring was the best. First of all, when we went to the store, Jeanne listened to what we wanted. Then she went the extra mile to find the colors that matched the existing floor. During the installation, the crew found some structural issues in our house, but they knew what to do. It took more than the original estimated days to install all the floor, but it all went well (and no extra charge). The follow-up was great too. The floor looks so beautiful now. We highly recommend Solonar Flooring. read more

First Class Hardwood Floor and Installation It has been about a month since Solana Flooring has installed our Hardwood Floor in our town home and we could not be happier. From the time we began our search for the right floor for us, Solana Flooring gave us first class assistance with samples, product information and when we made our choice, the install couldn't have been smoother. Clean and detail oriented, professional from start to finish without a problem; we would very highly recommend them to all who want high quality flooring and workmanship. read more

Chose Solana Flooring to replace my existing carpet in a tri level home with many stairs. I initially was going to have some of the areas replaced with wood or a simulated wood. The samples in the showroom were more than enough to choose from with excellent, quality choices of all flooring materials I was interested in. Jeanne was wonderful to work with, very experienced and professional, and accommodating to my busy schedule. Mick, Whittney, and the installers all took part in making this process an overall remarkable experience. I would highly recommend using Solana Flooring for all flooring needs. read more

I had a upstairs toilet tank crack while sleeping, besides all the water damage to drywall, my complete flooring upstairs and downstairs had to be removed and replaced. I worked with Ryan and Dave. Overwhelmingly positive experience. ~900 sqft of demo, leveling, and new floors including a stair case. My final invoice came in a couple hundred less than what they bid, indicative of conservatism in bidding and honesty upon completion. Dave was knowledgable and direct, but still very polite. I accomplished with him in 30 minutes what took more than a few hours at other shops during the bid process. Ryan and his team were always available, polite, professional, and responsive. They quickly adapted to meet unforeseen delays and circumstances which are common during jobs like this. If you want people who do what they say they're going to do, how they say they will, and be positive to work with, Solana Flooring will hit the mark. read more

These guys know their flooring and work very hard to make every client happy. The team at Solana Flooring is wonderful. Upon visiting their store to look at their extensive collection of floor options, I received thorough, courteous, and expert advice on flooring types - they asked insightful questions of what I was seeking for flooring in look, style, maintenance, and other details to ensure they guided me to the most appropriate product. I wanted to install real hardwood flooring in my house, and they were so kind to bring half a dozen large board samples of different colors and plank sizes to my home so I could consider the options. Being able to see the flooring in the room settings and with the natural light was so helpful and it became so clear that some selections were not quite right and also very clear which wood was the "winner". Once I made my wood choice, they made the process very easy - I had an extensive house remodel project going, and Solana Flooring was so flexible on scheduling the installation, which revised a few times. But they made sure that everything was ready to go when I was ready, and the crew did a great job with leveling the slab before install to be sure everything was perfect for laying the floor. The install team powered through the work each day and finished ahead of schedule. The owner and project manager personally came to my home several times during the entire project to be sure that everything was looking good with the design layout (which way the planks should run), quality of the product and installation, and also to confer with the tile setter to be sure room transitions from wood to tile were perfectly aligned. My hardwood floors are beautiful and turned out exactly as I hoped. I would not hesitate to call upon or recommend Solana Flooring, what a terrific team! read more

Five stars aren't enough for us to rate Solana Flooring. We had them install luxury vinyl plank flooring and new baseboards throughout our two-story home. Dave Bone, the flooring specialist who runs the showroom and Mik Sziros, owner and head of the installation team (Elias and Gabriel) did an outstanding job. With a great attitude, these friendly and professional flooring experts created a great new look for our home. Solana Flooring installed hardwood flooring in my townhouse 5 years ago now. The floors continue to look fantastic and are my favorite home upgrade. They took out our gross old tile and carpet and installed engineered hardwoods all throughout my living room, dining room, 1 bedroom, a full flight of stairs and 3 landings. At the same time, we also had slate tiles added around our fireplace, and those look wonderful as well. The entire time, everyone we worked with was really nice and professional. I can't recommend Solana Flooring enough! Dave and Mik were great to work with. Dave quickly found what I was looking for. After calling Solana Flooring, I had Dave at my home giving me an estimate within a few hours. Their crew installed two bathrooms, a living, dining room and entry way. The tile work I wanted in the bathrooms were marble and mosaic glass - which was rather unique for them, but they completed the job without hesitation. Porcelain tiles that looked like wood grain were laid in the living/dining and entry rooms came out beautifully. Their workers were clean, respectful, and extremely proficient at tile cutting and laying. I couldn't have asked for better service. I highly recommend Solana Flooring to anyone interested in the highest quality craftmanship. read more

Dave and Mik provided us with a customized and personalized upscale flooring experience. We wanted to work with a small local shop that offered a more unique range of flooring. We also wanted more eco friendly choices. Dave showed me a type of carpet padding that is eco friendly and green. He also educated me about different carpet options that would work for pets and children. I really liked that Dave spent time to go over everything with me and that he is not some random sales person at a large box type setting. After selecting my choices of flooring, Mik then took over providing the installation. Mik actually comes out to supervise the job and spent a good deal of time out our home. He paid attention to small details and that made all the difference. We have renovated in the past and were blown away by the level of expertise shared between Dave and Mik. We are so happy with the results and feel that Solana Flooring did the best work. read more
