Ok, my rating for the moment is strictly for the customer service. We are looking to do some work in the kitchen and just get overwhelmed when we walk into a place like this, as always. I felt we were going to have the same experience once again. I have to commend the sales rep, Preston for his outstanding customer service. My husband and I were grateful for his direction tips and suggestions. He walked us through our options after we discussed with him what we were looking for. When shopping for tiles for our bathroom and kitchen, we found Stone Systems. As a distributor they carry multiple brands and they happen to also sell the Porcelenosa brand that we liked a lot. So we ended up purchasing these gray tiles from them for a better price we could get working directly with Porcelenosa. Also their customer service is great. They are friendly and do not mind spending time and answering to questions. This was our first floor remodel so we had plenty of questions for them. read more

Recommended by our installer. We went to another slab yard prior and they were not as helpful. We arrived with paint colors but no idea what we wanted for a countertop. Cecilia was fantastic and patient. We went back a few weeks later with custom lobster tiles for behind the stove - and needed to choose the rest of the backsplash. Not sure how often Stone Systems delivers the wrong quartz slab to their fabricators, but I happened to be the end customer when this happened. Our countertop installer had ordered COMPAC Unique Calcatta which is white w/ grey and instead Stone Systems error provided us "Nebulous Gold" which is white with specks that looks like sandy, gold glitter! It's not even close!!! Unfortunately, we had demoed the kitchen based on original install day when we noticed the wrong slab. We then sent it back and took a hit with a 4-week set back so they can provide our fabricator with the correct slab. Back to square one. We were without an operating kitchen - no sink, no oven, no stove - which was costly for us and we still paid full-price for the replacement. With Stone Systems' error, a nice gesture would have been to see Stone Systems compensate with a bit of a discount for their mistake. When I called in to inquire about the error, they felt that replacing it was good enough. I don't believe they cared about the month-long inconvenience on our end and pretty much blew me off. I guess the remodel market is too good right now and they have enough business to not care about their customers. read more

Definitely found an amazing granite/quarts Store hidden off of Miramar Road. By far the best selection and nicest display I've seen of all of the different stores I visited. Jeanette was extremely helpful and accommodating of me and my two kids. Very low pressure yet very informative and gave me samples to bring home which helps immensely and was the only person to do this out of all the stores I visited. Thank you Jeanette for being so accommodating to my children and I it makes being a stay at home dad of two much less stressful when going out to stores like this. Stone Systems product - quartz countertops are complete CRAP. Their customer service is even worse, if that is possible. We have been stuck with their quartz countertops now since 2021. Chris has no idea what the hell he is doing. He thinks he does with his fancy little 'clean up' spray which does nothing to hide the obvious FLAWS AND MFR DEFECTS already on the countertops when delivered to our home. Since then, since we were NOT TOLD these countertops obviously require some time of seal, we have endured water stains and rings from just plain cold water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and God knows what else stains these very HIGH MAINTENANCE QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS!!!! Gee and all STONE SYSTEMS HAD TO DO WAS - YOU GOT IT - THEIR FING JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stone Systems was not in the least bit interested in rectifying the situation way back in 2021. WHY? well it is obvious - because they SUCK! In fact, CHRIS the total lame sales guy - blocked my number instead of handling the situation like a MAN!!!!!! HIS boss, even worse. NOW we have to pay to have someone COME TO OUR HOUSE to repair STONE SYSTEMS MISTAKES FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. Our recommendation???? do NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I walked in feeling frustrated as this is my third show room that I had seen and didn't get much help from thestaff at other stores. Right away Angela Approached me and ask how she could help. I told her my budget, what I was looking for and she showed me a ton of options within my price range. She also connected me with Jeanette who wrote up a quote for me instantly and gave me insight as to how to proceed with my contractor for my countertops. This place can be extremely overwhelming if left to our own devices. Thankfully, Jose came to save us from ourselves! He immediately took us to the slab yard indoors, asked what basis of color we want, carried the white shaker cabinet around for me, and elegantly and patiently held it up for photos when I needed it. He was honest about what lines of quartz would be more expensive and which would take longer to come in stock, and when we finally picked out a few we loved, he arranged the sample display so beautifully that it helped my boyfriend and me narrow down the pieces we wanted. read more

Stone systems helped us with our kitchen remodel. We originally visited them for backsplash ideas. Jeanette is our go-to person. She introduced us to a porcelain slab that looked exactly like an expensive marble. Wonderful absolutely wonderful. From there Jeanette helped us pick a porcelain tile for the kitchen floor. I can't speak more highly about Stone Systems, especially customer service. We purchased several quartz slabs there three years ago for our kitchen and bathroom. These were Polar Stone slabs that looked more like the real thing than anything we could find anywhere. We had actually gone there looking for stone from another manufacturer, and stumbled on the Polar Stone. Fast-forward three years and we had some staining on the stone that concerned us. Darned if Chris didn't come to check it out. Smile on his masked face. He figured out what the issue was and we quickly resolved it on the spot. A company proves its core values years if they show they care not just after the sale, but YEARS after the sale. And this was during one of his busiest periods...ever, when he had more important things to do than leave his store! read more

I have tried this place twice and both times had terrible experiences. I was shocked after the decent review one of my friends gave me about using them for their kitchen remodel. The first time was going with my mom. She wanted help picking out the new stone for her kitchen remodel. The sales people were nice enough. The store was nice enough. When our sales person asked a question to the owner, he was rude. We left, went right down the street and made a purchase from someone else less than 15 minutes after walking out, mostly because of the kind people at the other place. Today I called. I wanted to give them a second chance because there was one slab I really liked. I had to get this pricing over the phone, because the other one I selected had too much movement to match with the angles on the seams. I asked for pricing per slab, as my contractor wants me to buy 2 slabs for them to finish up our kitchen. This is during the COVID-19 quarantine and I was told they would not do business over the phone. This was by one of the owners. I am disgusted a company in a public health crisis would not alter their business as usual. Hung up and just emailed my contractor to send me to anyone else. I would never give my business to someone who doesn't work while keeping their people and their customers safe. Lost my business permanently. Lost my parents business permanently. I will tell everyone I know, that I was denied service because I am self isolating to avoid transmitting this to sick and elderly family members. Disgusting. read more

Thank goodness for Emily! As mentioned in prior reviews, its a bit overwhelming going into Stone Systems due to their large variety of quality counter-tops, back-splash, flooring, etc. The pro is that its a one stop shop for your remodel needs. They do not sell to the public so make sure you have your fabricators information handy. I looked at 6+ slab places in Mira Mesa and Chula Vista prior to making my way to Stone Systems and felt every place offered the same quality of slabs. Emily greeted me as soon as I walked into the business and was very helpful in the process of me trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my kitchen. Emily presented ideas and didn't give up until I was satisfied. Kudos to you Emily, keep doing what you do to make customers feel important and not rushed. @Stone Systems, you are lucky to have her as an employee that represents your company! read more

The selection of tiles is excellent. Prices are not noted so you have to bring each tile you are interested in to the front desk to have them look it up (fairly standard procedure for a some tile stores, but a pain when you have a several tiles you are interested in) They don't provide (or even sell) samples so bringing them home to see them in the space is not an option. In the end, they had a couple tiles I was looking for which had to be special ordered so I'm excited to see them! read more

Do not be fooled by this fancy store. They sold us a very expensive counter top, 3 slabs. It was defective. they don't honor the warranty. We have a huge crack on the counter. The internet have a mountain of complaints of eternal calacatta counter. Do not buy from this store. They are liars. The manager told me not to worry about the crack, it will be covered by the 25 year warranty. He never answered the phone after that. We also never got a copy of the warranty. They are the most dishonest people, selling defective products for high price. They don't return calls either. The staff lies just like the manager. Avoid this place. Go to Home Depot, or other outfits, where they stand behind the products and don't lie. read more

I found the best looking quartz in the biggest sizes which most looks like marble here. Their service and knowledge is un matched when looking for a quartz countertop. Unfortunately I have to give the company a one star based on customer service. The order I placed and expressed was of some urgency and I felt somehow this was not taken very seriously. So instead of stating they could not meet the deadline the sale was made and then the excuses began. Also when I asked about returns if the items were ordered in excess my question was simply overlooked. Through a lot of stress the tile came in and does look absolutely beautiful, but the juice wasn't worth the squeeze as they say. Specifically since there are other companies that can provide the same product. I also requested to return the overage I was told that they could not do this ( no idea why unopened boxes simply cannot be shipped back and refunded). After much to do I was told it would cost me 25 % restocking fee what supplier charges them to restock. I called the manufacturer directly and was told it was 15 % and that I could ship the items back on my own. So there it is there another lie. Overall I would not recommend this company and will have to go through legal channels as well as my card company. Btw at these price points ( I paid over $4000 for tile) a customer satisfaction on over all experience should be taken in to account rather than the possible commission being made by the sales person. Incredibly disappointed and won't be back for many of my other projects. read more

So I checked this place out at the recommendation of my contractor. Glad I did because the sample swatch of the Quartz counter top I thought I wanted was all wrong when I saw the entire slab. The staff were super helpful and polite and helped me pick out something else. The selection of tile and counter top surfaces is amazing. They have some beautiful high-end tile; they even told me I got a good deal on the floor tile I bought from another company. Very friendly, helpful and not pushy.
