Let's start with Yan is the image of this company. She's friendly, understanding, welcoming, and willing to go above and beyond. She even helped us when she was out of town. This is why she's the first person you see when you come into the showroom. Yan helped us navigate the different types of countertops and worked within our budget. We were new to working without a project manager and she helped us understand countertops and basic design. Installation went just ok. Juan was late all the time. However, he was very reasonable when we pointed out some changes that needed to be made. If anything needed to be fixed, he fixed it. We did not like that they cut on the site (our house) and dust blew everywhere. The installation took more days than what we were told. Honestly, I think they're slammed with installing 2 jobs a day. The major dings to this review are cutting quartz (silica) on site and working with Liz Flores while Yan was out of the office. That experience was horrible. If anything, that was our one regret. I would've pushed the job out until Yan returned to the office. The rolling eyes, the cold personality, the texting and passing the phone while the customer is talking to the salesperson, it was all rude and unprofessional. I would emphasize and double check that they fabricate and make the cuts at the shop. They didn't know what to say when I said that the crew cut the quartz on site. Lesson learned. Terrible Experience - Dishonest and Unprofessional We ordered Quartz Calacatta Michelangelo (AQ-7006), but due to staff error, were charged for the wrong material (Luxe AQ-P032) -- without our knowledge. Despite confirming the correct product by phone, they processed the wrong order and refused to take any responsibility. When we noticed the mistake, the manager denied being there (she was), denied the employee's error (paperwork proves it), and refused to check security footage. We lost $550 and got no apology, no credit, and no help. The owner wouldn't even speak with us. Horrible customer service, zero accountability, and very unprofessional. Terrible Experience - Stay Away from Rainbow Stone Cabinet This company stole our money and refused to take responsibility for their huge mistake. We went to Rainbow Stone Cabinet on August 14, 2025, and chose our cabinet style and the Quartz Calacatta Michelangelo (AQ-7006) countertop with Vicky Lau. Everything was confirmed and written down. Then, on August 28, 2025, we went back for an updated estimate with the same design and countertop. The employee made two major errors: He used the wrong date (8/14 instead of 8/28). He changed the countertop name to Luxe (AQ-P032) -- a completely different stone. We focused on slab availability, not realizing he had switched the name. The manager, Vicky Lau, said some sizes weren't available and told us to think about it. The next day, I called and confirmed we wanted the Michelangelo quartz with the correct sizes and number of slabs. But they processed the wrong order using the wrong slab name. We paid in full, and our contractor picked it up. Once the cutting started, I left work to check and was shocked -- it was NOT Michelangelo, it was the wrong slab completely. When we called the store, things got even worse: The manager denied being there that day (which is false). She denied her employee made any mistake, even though we had the estimate papers showing proof. She refused to check the security cameras to see what really happened. And worst of all, she treated us like liars instead of customers who trusted them. Because of their mistake, we lost $550. When we went back on October 18, 2025, to talk to the owner, they refused to give us his contact information. We asked the assistant to call him, and he refused to take any responsibility or give us a credit for their mistake. This company has no honesty, no professionalism, and no respect for customers. They made a mistake, took our money, and then tried to cover it up instead of fixing it. I will never recommend Rainbow Stone Cabinet to anyone. We were in the market for some quartz slabs for our kitchen & vanity counter replacement project and the countertop technician recommended Rainbow Stone and that's why we went to the showroom. The store was well stocked and prices were reasonable. The saleslady Yen helped us pick out the style and we placed the order and paid. However, when we walked to the yard to try to identify the actual slabs, she found out we had to pick from two different batches for the different size slabs we need so chances are the colors may not match perfectly. She went through the trouble of helping us identify another style that would work for us and replacing the invoice with the new style information without any complaint. In hind sight, we found the replacement style may work out better for us than the original selection anyway so that was a good thing. Frustrating experience. Selection of stone is fine. Worked with nice lady who was actually very patient as we went back and forth on stone. Rest of staff at front of store don't go out of their way to help you as they stare onto their computer monitors. Excited to get stone installed when we settled and paid for the stone. This is where it turns into a nightmare. Never on time for appointments. (They make you sign and acknowledge you will will pay for rescheduling penalty if you're not available). They were late for initial appointment (morning appointment and didn't show up until end of day). The installer would tell me he would show up on a day we settled on... but never showed up. This happened 3 times!!! I'm taking time out of my day from work and they don't show up or even call!! Pleaded with the management to help me out. Nothing! Asked for a price break... BAIT AND SWITCH I would give them zero stars if I could and I encourage everyone reading these reviews to read my review very carefully. Rainbow Stone did a classic "bait and switch" with our kitchen and bathroom remodel. You get what you pay for! Their prices are lower, but you get bad mismatched materials and installation. I went to their showroom in Chula Vista to select the exact granite slabs I wanted to ensure that there were not discolorations in the granite. I was encouraged to do this by Vicki, the sales person, and I paid for the slabs and they were marked with my name. However, those slabs were not used, and the slabs they used had horrible yellow lines that look like rust stains. The installer could have cared less and chose to place the yellow lines in the most focal part of the kitchen, the sink! Additionally, you are not told that the backsplash is pre-cut from a different slab entirely. In our case, the backsplash had a lot of grey in it, and the counters have no grey. It looks mismatched and ugly. read more

We're remodeling our bathrooms and kitchen. We've had fabulous service from Yan Smith at Rainbow Stone. She's been very helpful to us in helping choose the best quartz countertops for our remodels. They have a good selection of beautiful quartz as well as some granite. Yan is very efficient, friendly and effective. She also goes the extra mile for her customers. Today, we had a problem with the kitchen sink we ordered from another store. We went to Yan and she helped us. If the Miramar location doesn't have what you need, the Chula Vista location likely will. They're linked so she can check their inventory and let you know. This is the second time that we have used Rainbow Stone for a kitchen remodel. The first was for our condo a couple of years ago and the most recent for our current home. Both times, the quality of the cabinets was great. Since our first time, they have expnded their collection with more options of style and color. Daylight robbery. I walked into the store to buy a kitchen sink. First of all, they didn't have a big selection. So I wasn't sure whether to buy or not as the size may not fit. However when I talked with the sales agent, she communicated clearly that for a fee of 5% credit card charge, the sink is returnable. I repeated my question and this was confirmed. The installers deemed the sink to be small. We didn't open it. And I went to return it. And they slap a 30% return charge. Despite me trying to explain calmly, I was shown the fine print and was "laughed" at by the same sales person. Heavily insulting and insinuating exhibiting absolutely no respect for the customer. I hired a contractor who took me here and we picked out my cabinets and countertops and he paid with my CASH and spoke Spanish to the sales lady Liz the whole time while I was there. Worst customer service too. Liz is very RUDE she spoke Spanish to my contractor the whole time never asking me anything and clearly knows this order was for my home. I was the one picking out the colors. Come to find out that my contractor is a SCAMMER! His names Johnny Hernandez JP construction company. Once he got my money he shut his phone down and was never seen again, but he went the next day to return the countertops and got the cash, but not my cabinets. When I went to the store to speak to a manager about this. They didn't care at all. Vicky the manager didn't care one bit that this scammer was getting away with this. My cabinets were done and sitting in the warehouse, but they said they couldn't do anything for he paid cash and his name was in the invoice. They acknowledged I was there with him and I showed the manager how he shut his phone off and that we have a contract for my remodeling job in my home in santee. Now that this company knows everything I told them and all my evidence I showed them. They next day the crook came to there shop and sure enough returned my cabinets and got my CASH!!! I feel that the owner George should have steeped in and put the cabinets on hold or at least call the authorities when he showed up yesterday morning. Poor poor business and customer service. I'm sure that's why this crook took me there and did all the talking with Liz. I feel like she was in on it the whole time. We came here to pick out our countertop on the recommendation of our contractor. The front end of the store shows off model kitchens and living room spaces with their material. In the back, there's a warehouse with sample slabs (there are even buckets of sample chunks you can take home for free). Overall, the process was fast and easy. I just had to call in our order and send our information online. Our contractor picked it up with our invoice and all was done! The only thing is, I think they may be short staffed because when we went in person, there wasn't anyone walking around we could talk to or get help from. Vicky made the process easy, explaining the various options we had. Her proposal was accurate and her demeanor extremely helpful and friendly. We needed to find and install a counter as we were remodeling our kitchen. Vicky was quick and prompt on responding to messages and emails especially during the pandemic. She answered all my questions and gave me a quote for my specifications. Scheduling for the install and template was easy as well and they were flexible since we were still waiting on our cabinets from another place. We were able to move the install date since we completed the cabinets early. Their guys that do the install was pretty good and finished everything in a day. It's been about a year since we had our cabinets and countertops installed by Rainbow Stone. We are very happy with the quality of the cabinets and everything is still looking great! Last week, one of our family members were washing some big mugs and accidentally dropped one on the edge of the countertop. It created a small chip on the edge. I called Vicky too see if it was possible to repair it. She sent out a tech to look at it within the same week. He was able to perform a perfect repair. There are no signs that it was ever damaged. On top of that, they fixed it for free! Very impressed by Vicky and her teams customer service. I've been referring customers to Rainbow Stone since we had our cabinets and countertops installed. I highly recommend Rainbow Stone for countertops and installation. I purchased quartz countertops to be installed in my kitchen and two bathrooms towards the end of last year. I worked with Vicky Lau who helped with my purchase and scheduled my installation - she is great! This is the second time I've purchased countertops from Rainbow, they installed kitchen counters for me back in 2019 as well in my last home. Both times they did waterfall countertops that turned out great, and I was pleased with the overall outcome. Poor quality quartz. We bought the newest and most expensive Delicato prefab. Out of the four one had a discoloration. Since our cabinets were custom from another place, due to covid that took two months. We didn't and couldn't see this discoloration until our contractor had it flat on the table ready to cut. We tried to talk RS to exchange. They have only a 30 day exchange policy. There was zero willingness from the owner George. Vicky spoke to him over the phone in mandarin. I understand a bit and unfortunately not like Vicky tried to convince him either. I just don't like bad customer service and given a pandemic the owner could have offered something to have a happy customer. Zero willingness. I recommend so many others in the area that have a much better reputation. And we shall see how my countertops do in full sun as my kitchen has giant windows! read more

I had an all around bad experience with Rainbow Stone. Very poor communication, mediocre work, and really bad interactions with certain crew members and the owner. The were supposed to go out mid January and when the crew arrived they first told me they couldn't continue because my countertops weren't demo'd and 'no demo' had been written in my contract. I'll admit and take ownership that I signed a contract and 'no demo' had been written in but I didn't understand why my sales rep had written that in. When I asked my sales rep, Vicky, why she did this I didn't get much of a better answer other than 'you didn't ask for demo.' I would think a professional company would know to ask a client 'do you have an old countertop that needs to be removed' rather than just assume I didn't and write it in. They pushed back start date two weeks so they could add in a demo day. If this was the only issue I could have moved on but things got significantly worse after that. After my install which happened over the weekend of Jan.29th I wasn't pleased with the bathroom vanity. See pictures. I wanted the right side of the bathroom vanity shaved down some as it had an uneven look. I had a tough time understanding my installer due to language barrier but the gist was he thought it was fine and there was nothing to do as it was a pre-fab top. He tried to get me to sign a document at the end of the work and I told him I wouldn't sign a document that states I was pleased with the final result as I wasn't and I needed to follow up with my sales rep Vicky. He tried to tell me I 'had to sign' which I assured him I did not and he stormed out of my condo and was intense and aggressive. I left shortly after as I don't live in the condo and exited out of the side entrance of my building which was on Sat Jan.30. On Monday Feb.01 morning I received an email from my HOA scolding me for a mess the installers made and stating they would consider charging me for the cleanup crew they had sent out that morning. See attached. Monday, Feb.8th the owner, George, came out to assess and address these issues. Regarding the bathroom vanity, George again claimed that installation of a pre-fab resulted in the look and there was nothing to be done. He kept saying it was 'done perfectly' but then when I asked him, 'yeah, but does this look good or look off to you' he would get silent, smile, then not answer the question and again say it was done correctly. I asked why they went forward with install if it was going to look incorrect, if they knew what they had to offer was going to result in that look. When they came out and measured and examined the space I would have been fine if they said their particular products and process wasn't going to work with my bathroom setup. George simply said something to the effect of, 'You paid us to do this so we did it.' By the way multiple people have mentioned that the vanity looks off. Finally, when I showed him the pictures of the front of the building he immediately asks 'how can you prove this was us'. I had him review the pictures and showed a trail that clearly led to my unit and that it was brought to my attention two days after the work was done. He finally relented and said, 'OK, well if they charge you for cleanup we will pay.' He was so disingenuous in his manner and really had a stereotypical used car salesman affect and vibe that was really unpleasant. Also, I still have a stain in front of my unit as clearly whatever they used doesn't lift easily so I'm still dealing with that. What a nightmare. read more

My experience with Rainbow Stone Chula Vista was amazing. They had the perfect color quartz slabs to go with my new kitchen. Danitza was knowledgeable and very patient while I made my selection and they held my slabs until I was ready for the installation. Anthony was the fabricator and installer and he was also amazing. He went out of his way to make sure my slabs matched perfectly, even going back to the shop to make sure we had the best options. He and his crew installed all the slabs perfectly, including carrying the 6' x 3.5' slab up a flight of stairs and placed it perfectly into position with no damage to the slab or the crew. They were all very friendly and professional. They cleaned up afterwards and I am thrilled with the finished product. All that's left is for the back splash to be installed. read more

My name is Robert Clark owner at Clark Remodeling. I'm a general contractor! I went to rainbow stone because other contractors had told me that they have cheaper cabinets. So I thought to give it a try. The man was in a rush he would pacify My questions, and one of my questions was " you do have here" meaning, in stock, boxed ready to build cabinets. His answer was."yeah". I hand the man $4900 in cash.. can you tells me 14 day. I called me and said I need today. He refunded my cash. And then tried to pull the contract sales receipt, and I held the drawing in my hand. Keep in mind I had the same drawing from the CAD when I came in. He made minor changes. He tried to reach over the countertop and yank it from my hand. I said no I will keep this because I feel like my time was wasted. I did ask you if you had in stock. He made a fuss so I gave him his drawing. I told him they were unprofessional after he told me the client, the contractor that I was unprofessional! I've never been treated so poorly by company in my life. As I walked out the door, I said I bet KD cabinets around the corner is going to love this! I went back to KD where I've been for the last five years. As a contractor, I wanted to try something different. I will stick with KD cabinets. I ended up paying $3700. And KD cabinets had nothing bad to say they just smiled and give me a hell of a deal!!!! Please keep in mind I rarely post negative comments. But this one was extremely unprofessional. Updating my review. Customer support after installation is poor and cabinets do not have warranty. The lazy Susan has been giving us trouble since shortly after installing the cabinets. The door pops every time we close it. I called and the lady told me that there is no warranty and unfortunately she did not offer any extra help or options. Also, the cabinets have cracks now on them. The trim paint is coming off. Some of the doors become loose and we have to look for a longer screws to tighten the door. I called about this too and again, no warranty and no help offered. If they would at least be willing to meet us half way or fix these issues, I would not be writing this negative review. We are going to have to be extra careful with our cabinets so that they hopefully last us a while. read more

Before I get into the details, the gist of this review is that Rainbow Stone (RS) should reimburse us for the multiple pieces of quartz that we bought and now have no use for. The time and frustration and they added to our lives is unbelievable--and they have shown no sense of regret or apologized for the great inconvenience they caused. Not to mention I'm pregnant, which the employees were aware of, and this situation added a lot of stress for me during a time where I should be taking it easy. We selected Sahara Galaxy quartz for the counters in our bathrooms and kitchen. The contractor and his team picked the quartz up for us and installed it. Everything looked great until we noticed that the large peninsula piece where our barstools are was a very noticeable different color from the rest of the pieces...we're talking about a 50% difference in color. The large piece almost looked white compared to the beige of the rest of the Sahara Galaxy. I contacted the contractor and let him know this color difference was unacceptable. I met our contractor at RS a couple days later and explained to the employees what was going on (and showed them photos) and they agreed that while the color could vary slightly, that difference was way too much. They had one peninsula left in the store that was labeled "Sahara Galaxy." When they showed it to me, I told them repeatedly that it didn't look as sparkly as the pieces at, but they assured us that it was the right color. Our contractor paid for this because to be honest, at first I thought it was his fault for not noticing the color difference. The new piece was installed and, again, it was a completely different color with a greatly noticeable contrast at the seam. Very frustrated, I contacted RS the next day and spoke with Layla. I told her what was going on and sent her photos of both the first and second piece of peninsula that did not match the rest of the quartz we had. She said that the contractors should have matched it when they picked it up. BUT, if you take a piece of the correct color and hold it over the piece that is wrong, it looks SO similar. It's not until you cut the seam and glue them together that you notice the difference. Sept. 3 is when I emailed Layla the samples of the mismatched quartz. I had to go to the store again because Layla asked if I would bring in a piece of the correct color so that RS's driver could take it to the manufacturer to match it for us. Layla told me that her driver would go to the manufacturer early the next week and she'd let me know. I followed up on Sept. 17. Layla responded that the driver hasn't been up to the vendor that week and she'd ask to see if he knew when he was scheduled to go there next. Okay, but why wasn't I kept apprised of what was going on? I heard nothing again so I followed up on Sept. 19. Layla responded that the driver was supposed to go to the vendor today (the 19th) and that he'd let her know when he gets there. I heard NOTHING. Sept. 22 I emailed Layla to follow up. No response. Sept. 24 I followed up. No response. Sept. 26 I followed up and FINALLY received a response. "I'm sorry but our driver hasn't gone to that vendor. When he went up that day, I thought he was going to that vendor but I got my vendors mixed up. Unfortunately, we haven't had orders so we haven't drove up in a few days." But, you have a paying customer that needs a mistake fixed and you have repeatedly told me that the driver would go there to check for us. And, it took a week to tell me this? As a results, my husband had to drive FOUR HOURS on a Saturday to the City of Industry where the vendor is located to find the pieces that we needed. Plus, RS said that because we were purchasing directly from the manufacturer, they wouldn't pick up the pieces for us and we'd have to find our own way to get the stone to San Diego. THANKS AGAIN, GUYS! So, our contractor spent six hours of his Monday driving back and forth to pick it up for us. RS WAS nice enough to provide us with a code (#2008) that we needed to ensure we got the same color when we visited the vendor. That code is what should have been used BY RS in the first place to match all of our quartz when the original order was put together. When RS put together our order, they had all the pieces of Sahara Galaxy that they needed for our bathrooms and most of our kitchen from one shipment/lot (#2008). However, the only two peninsula pieces that they had in the store were OLDER ones. Rather than doing their due diligence and ordering a piece from the same shipment/lot as the rest of the pieces in our order, they threw in an old slab and hoped it would match. Twice! The mismatching of our kitchen quartz was completely their fault.
