You get what you pay for. And honestly, when you come in with that mindset, this place is pretty good and the quality exceeded the cost paid. We got our olive green kitchen cabinets, kitchen island, and marble countertops here about a year ago and still am pretty satisfied today (no buyers remorse). Don't expect KD Cabinetry to provide world class luxury items but if you're not high maintenance about these things, their cabinets/countertops/kitchen items will work well for you and still look pretty nice. Tony was pretty attentive at providing knowledge to us and scheduling installation appointments. The installation guy did a fairly good job at installing. A few minor dents here and there but we got him to come back and patch it up. He left dirt marks on our kitchen countertops too but was also able to come back and clean that up when we complained about it. So yeah, we had to follow up with them to deal with these minor issues but at least they followed up with us to deal with it. And at half the price of competitors, honestly still worth the minor inconvenience. Thank youuuu! read more

Oh man I'm glad we did, we met with Annie, the nicest person we met with in the last three months, and the most intelligent one also... She helped us with the design of the new kitchen and gave me a price that I thought it's really good. The price including demolition of the old kitchen, removing everything, installing new kitchen, and countertop.... So we went with KD Cabinet and I'm really happy we did, They said this will take about 10 days from start to finish, and I was very skeptical about that. 10 days later exactly I have new kitchen, amazing quality cabinets, and amazing installation and attention to details... Then the counter top was spectacular finish... Tony was absolutely great to work with, honest all the way, No surprises what so ever, communication was probably the best part of this experience... Annie and tony were always in touch, giving us heads up for next day a head... I'm so happy with this place, I' ordering new cabinet and counter tops for my three bathrooms next week. I'm not saying KD is terrible, but I'm also not saying they're good. In all fairness, the the price is pretty decent, and the product itself would be good...if it was installed properly. If you're looking for something to replace old cabinets that are falling apart, and you don't care about details, I say go for it! If you're looking to put together your dream home, keep looking, this isn't what you're looking for. We were attracted by the price, and when we went to the showroom, the product looked pretty solid. Another thing I disliked...full price and 100% of the labor had to be paid upfront. This gives them zero incentive to be responsive. Some of their cabinet styles weren't in stock, so we went with the one they assured us was fully in stock. We couldn't wait to see our new kitchen. Fast forward to when we got our cabinets installed...gaps between doors are uneven, the installer went solely based off the ceiling and it looks like he didn't even attempt to install them straight. Other contractors have looked at it and said that regardless of the evenness of the ceiling, the cabinets should always be installed level. One is very noticeably lower than the others (see photo). Also, the person who came to install the quartz told me that the ground was uneven so he had to raise one side of the countertop way up (see photo next to window sill). I've tried several levels, and they have showed that the floor and the window are both level, so the only thing that isn't is the countertop, there was no need to raise one side, and now I have an obviously botched installation job. There are also gaps at the bases of the cabinets -- I contacted KD and asked them if they could please at least install trim to cover it, and I keep getting the runaround. Of course, they already have my money, so they are in no rush to help us or even address the issues. Also, I mentioned we picked this style because they said everything was in stock, right? Well apparently it wasn't. There was a side panel that was needed, and when they showed up they told us they'd have to install it next week. It has been three weeks, and we are still waiting. Like I said, you get what you pay for (except we didn't even get that), so keep in mind what you're willing to sacrifice before you continue. If you decide to use them, I really do hope you have better luck. read more

Great experience and quality of work! I worked with Mika and I would absolutely recommend designing your kitchen with her. When you arrive you need to know the dimensions of your kitchen layout and have an idea of what type of cabinets you want. I knew I wanted a lazy Susan, a cutout for a under counter microwave, a spice rack and a trash can cabinet. All cabinets and drawers are slow close and you can add top or bottom trim. I only did top trim. Mika was able to digitally draft up a kitchen design and then work through it with me. We would swap out cabinets and drawers to make it just what I was dreaming of. The one thing you need to know before coming here is that you need to pay for the cabinets on the spot. If you don't pay, and they sell out of a specific cabinet, you'll need to re-do your design. But with the prices they offer, it's a no brainer! Be ready to commit, you won't regret it! Plus with the re-measure, if you need to swap something out, you can. Once paid, they will send a guy out to re-measure. This was the only part of our experience that wasn't seamless. There were some communication issues with the guy who came out to re-measure. Mika was who I consistently turned to as she has great English and communication on skills. She was able to be the middle woman throughout the re-measure and install. The counters were really straightforward. Pick out the design you like in the store and the cabinet guys will cut and install the counters. Overall, I did not think I would be able to have such a high quuality of product and installation for the price that I paid. Incredible value and great group of people! read more

I've gotten so many outrageously expensive quotes for a kitchen remodel all around San Diego, and even looked into cabinet refacing... We were remodeling our house and looking at flooring at Lumber Liquidators next door. We saw that they sold flooring here so we went in. The flooring guy wasn't there, but the cabinet folks were. So we took a look around. The kitchen models looked great! I asked how much for an average small kitchen in total. He said maybe $5000 or more depending on cabinets and counter choices! I said really?? For cabinets and counters and everything? He said yes. Well a couple months later we had a leak in the kitchen and decided to rip out the new floor we put in and we called Tony to have him come to measure for free. He then put together a 3D model of exactly what the kitchen would look like after the reconfiguration. It was amazing. And he had the price all out in too. We made a few changes and they got started by the end of the week! They even did the demo for cheap! Awesome solid wood cabinets with soft close door hinges and drawer guides. We got white shaker cabinets with gray quartz counter tops. Super nice. Tony and his family were very helpful and even changed out one cabinet after we already installed it because I thought it would look better. No matter what use these guys! Seriously amazing work and quality products for a fraction of the price! We will be using them in the future. They are doing my next door neighbors house now too and are doing my inlaws house soon too! read more

They have pretty good quality stuff for reasonable prices. I bought new assembled cabinets, a stainless sink and countertops for about $5500. The countertops are just ok quality and only come in precut lengths so expect to deal with seams. Their install prices were pretty good (about $3500) but I already had a contractor lined up. My wife and I went there to look for bathroom vanities. The showroom is more like a dark warehouse where you can barely see what you are looking at. Their sales staff are unfriendly and act like they are doing you a favor to talk to you and answer questions. We had to talk to three different staff members before we got anyone to standup and wait on us. And when they finally did they were not consultative. Yes/no responses to our questions. I decided to remodel my kitchen and purchased my cabinets and granite from KD stone and Cabinets because the price and the quality were unbeatable. No complains about the product quality; the cabinets are made of wood, beautiful finish and paint work. Mika was the sales person that took my order. I spend almost $4,000 for my cabinets, slab and sink. The day I picked up my order, Mika gave me a small box with the cabinets' handles which I didn't count; everything else was given and counted by another employee. When I got home I noticed one of the slab's corner was broken and they had glued back together. I did not make a deal about it because I knew I was going to ended up cutting the slab anyway. A few days after when I was installing the handles I realized I was 12 handles short and emailed Mika but since I didn't heard from her I decided to give her a call. I let her know that my order was missing 12 handles to what she responded that since my order had been given to me already I needed to pay for those 12 missing handles which I had payed for already with my order. I emailed her again to let her know about I was not happy with the idea of having to buy more handles and fortunately she was able to resolved the issue. So, my recommendation to other people... 1. Make sure you figure out how many doors and drawer you order and make sure they give you all the handles for all of them 2. Make sure you check your slabs especially if they are white because the glue they used to glue back the broken piece in mine was also white 3. FYI the cabinets come in pieces and you have to put together unless you ask for that service ($25 to put each cabinet together) or if you have them do the installation which I believe cost $75 per cabinet read more

This contractor may be cheap but they do a very rush job with poor workmanship. They installed my mother's kitchen cabinet with wrong panels so there are no holes to support the board. The cabinet drawer was put in crooked, and the baseboard was not nailed in. Their workers claimed they are experienced in cabinet and tiles but their final product was rough and they do not pay attention to details. If you want to save money then fine, but if you want to save stress and headache, pay a little more and hire someone else. read more

This place is terrible. I am extremely upset with how the install went at my location. We originally had the install scheduled for the 12th. I took off an entire day of work so that this could happen. You guys canceled. Said the install would happen on the next night after I said I couldn't take another day off. Your installers were late, and didn't finish part of the job until 9pm. They said they had to come back to finish the backsplash the next day because they were never informed that one was needed! We were more than willing to allow this. Then after they left, we realize that the two slabs installed did not match! see the image below. I called and was told that there was no way that could have happened. I sent photos and then Tony called back and said the installers would be there at 9am on Saturday to uninstall the wrong slab and reinstall the correct one. Saturday comes along and after numerous calls to Tony, your installers were three hours late. They said Tony never told them to arrive at 9am. Then we were told that another installer needed to finish the job on Monday. This is ridiculous. I have wasted upwards of 10 hours of my time. Not to mention the numerous calls made to your company. The said they would call back and never did because they said they forgot. You offered a $250 reimbursement, which is not acceptable but we decided to take it. It is now a month later and we still have not received the reimbursement. I have called multiple times, requesting to speak with Tony. He has ignored my calls. Please for the sake of your well being, do not use this company. read more

Can't say enough about KFD and Tony. A really great experience with this company. We ordered our cabinents from tony and we were given a pretty solid discount. The cabinets arrived very quickly and we went to pick them up. A few of the cabinents were damaged and Tony immediately had them replaced. As we installed cabinets if we had any issues they were resolved very quickly by KFD. The price was great. We also bought the handles here and they were much cheaper than a lot of stores on miramar or home depot and lowes. My dad was installing our cabinets and Tony gave him a lot of advice about design and they turned out just great. I would highly recommend KFD for purchasing your cabinets. I can't say anything about their installation as we installed our own cabinets but for purchasing they are very easy to work with and very affordable for high quality cabinets. read more
