I have 4 people to call out; Justyn: coordinated the whole thing, which was not easy, since we both had to deal with IKEA; IKEA dragged the whole thing out with their clunky processing of change orders (I ordered the countertops through IKEA as part of a kitchen remodel). Every stone countertop I have is from Marjan - I've been using them that long. Fantastic selection and service. Every installation has been top notch and extremely professional. For the smaller projects - they have a slab yard of odd pieces. All the cuts are made on sites, and you can get any type of cap/moulding edge you can think of. I recently remodeled my kitchen and visited Marjan Stone to select a quartz countertop. A staff member helped me look at different options, and I provided my kitchen design plans and email address. She told me she would send me a quote, but unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Since I was on a tight remodeling schedule, I went to another countertop supplier in Miramar. Their team was very responsive and provided a quote immediately. My fabricator was able to pick up the quartz slab the very next day, and the installation was completed without delay. In the end, my kitchen turned out beautiful, and I'm very happy with the final result. I only wish I had received the promised quote and communication from Marjan Stone. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do NOT work with this company. I was assigned this company to fabricate and install through Lowes. They came and measured. I paid them in full. They showed up to demo my countertops and install a new countertop. They demolished about 1/4 of my countertops, said they couldn't finish the job and left. So now I have a destroyed kitchen countertop with plastic grating sticking out and thousands of dollars worth of quartz countertop in their possession. They will not answer or return my calls. This is incredibly unethical. Do not do business with this company unless you want to risk being left with a half finished job and no communication, This is criminal. read more

Too bad this kitchen remodel was such a nightmare. I guess I'll get joy someday from the end result, but right now I feel like I'm fighting for my life. Justyn asked me " where is the original down payment of $7000?" What!? I paid it in June, I said. She said do you have receipts? Can I see your bank statements? I said where is the accountant that I gave it to!? the accountant is now gone, mmm really maybe the accountant is gone with my money? I provided all bank statements and receipts. No word back. They charged me $630 to put down a plywood countertop. But Steve said that he did it and would only charge me $350. Guess what? the countertop people won't take the $630 off and the Steve of course wants his $350! Arghhhh!! They recommended I use Burr Cabinets. The original quote was supposed to include something that you kinda need, an electrical junction box for the stove. When the stove guy came to install the stove, there was no place to plug it in so he had to leave. And then I get charged EXTRA for a junction box to be put in. don't you think that should've been in the original quote? Yes it should've. It just wasn't done, but I was being charged for it. ALSO Being charged for tile that I provided to put it down after they wrecked the original tile, how about I'm being charged EXTRA for drains for sinks that were obviously going to need to be installed if I had a sink before I'm gonna have a sink after, no?!. I will never ever ever get anything done ever again. I'll let it all fall down around around me or I'll move. What a nightmare. A MONTH over scheduled completion.. read more

This was my first ever FULL kitchen remodel; and hunting for a countertop is no easy feat. I found Marjan stone on google, and immediately felt comfortable with Cassandra and the company. They had a great selection of new an remnant, and due to the fairly basic piece we needed she recommended looking at a remnant piece. I went down and looked at several pieces and made a decision; great price, great service! They came to make a template, and we're VERY prompt (so nice!!)Then oh no!!! The piece we had picked unknown at the time, had a cut in the back (we couldn't see) and was not going to work. Cassandra immediately called us, and thankfully we were able to get down there ASAP and pick a different piece, which was a 3cm instead of the 2, and they were so great not to charge us the difference!!!. The NEXT WEEK we got it installed!! Fast turn around, so grateful! The installers were also extremely prompt and courteous, they came in, very clean, very professional and did a wonderful job. I went with Marjan for a small kitchen remodel because they are a certified caesarstone installer which guarantees the lifetime warranty of the product. I called everyone on the San Diego list that was certified and all had a long lead times of at least 2+ weeks. I gave up hope until Cassandra called me back and was able to work her magic and accommodate our timeline. She was also available to walk-thru the job with me the very next day on short notice during lunch hour. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm was very assuring. To speed things along, she went ahead and placed the order for the slabs to be delivered on good faith before we were able to pass the deposit check to the measurer. She always followed up with me and responds right away. As if I'm not already impressed, it gets better- what started out as an issue with not having enough cabinet support for the new sink... Phyras and his partner were able to figure out a quick solution so that we did not have to reschedule our appointment which would have had an additional fee to come back out (understandably). This team went above and beyond as they could have easily finished the job much sooner had they not care about the quality of their work. There was even a supervisor who showed up later on to inspect their work. They worked through lunch time to get the job done and move onto the next since we took more time than anticipated. I am so very grateful for Marjan stone, not only their professionalism but everyone i've been in contact with so far seems to care and communicate. Highly highly recommend. IF YOU LIKE BEING LIED TO, GIVEN THE RUN AROUND , RUDE STAFF AND YOU OR YOUR CLIENT ACCEPTING SO SO WORK BECAUSE IT TOOK 6 WEEKS TO GET YOUR SLABS INSTALLED AND YOUR OVER IT THESES ARE THE CONTRACTORS FOR YOU!!! I am a licensed tile contractor who has been in the business for 20 years. Initially i asked Marjan for a price to just cut me some slab strips because i don't have machinery to cut long stone strips straight . And i was going to take and fabricate and install those strips into door casing for the shower. But they gave me a quote to fabricate and install the strips them self and it was a good price. At the time i had a lot going on and thought it would free me up to have them do it. At first all was good until i asked them what type of adhesive they were going to use to install the resin back marble strips. I was told silicone even after i pointed out to them silicone is flexible and it would move microscopically causing the grout work to fail. I told them i needed it to be an adhesive that hardened and was specific by the product manufacturer to bond to resin back stone, since polymer adhesive wont bond to them. At this point i was on day two of asking about this and i received and email from Amanda the project manager saying attached is the data sheet for the adhesive they use. I Immediately noticed the data sheet was laticrete LHT polymer thinset and was not spec to install resin back stone and i was very frustrated. I told them i guess i would have to provide epoxy adhesive and that i would rather eat the $150 it cost if thats what it took to insure the job was up to industry standards with correct product use. I received an email back with some back peddling they said they know epoxy thinset is what you have to use and they had told me that in the last email . But what the email said is attached is the data sheet for the adhesive we use the laticrete LHT and made reference to line 6 in the data sheet . At this point i started to feel that they were being fishy but i let it go because i had it in writing they would use epoxy thinset. Installation day arrived and it went something like this . They showed up with NO EPOXY THINSET and had missed measured 4 out the 8 strips and the job was dead in the water. I was told it was a mistake and they planned on showing up with epoxy thinset and the template guy had simply messed up when he measured. They had to buy a $1000 slab to re make all the pieces and promised they would show up with the right thinset. So another 2 1/2 weeks go by and installation day again. This is how it went the installer was complaining about having to use epoxy thinset and told me he installs all there stone with polymer thinset BEWARE OF THIS !!!! Not a single adhesive product manufacture, tile store, the TTA the TCNA or a shred of info online supports using polymer thinset on resin back stone. But i guess they have some magical pixie dust there putting in theres to defy the laws of science. Over all other than the installer complaining the day was going ok until the installer asked me if its ok that the strips were not lined up because he did not want to leave 2 clamps behind to hold them in place over night. I told him its ok only if he does not want to get paid. And he became very rude and told me hes not leaving his clamps . I told to him , this is there problem you guys took my money knew what the job scope was and should have thought about this. He told me to not talk about that to him so i decided to call the office to see what was the deal. I was told that its my fault because i made them use epoxy thinset and they dont leave clamps behind and hung up on me. In the end my customer had to supply 2 clamps she luckily had already and buy one from the installer to make sure the pieces stayed in place wile the adhesive dried. The quality of work was so so the installers refused to clean up the epoxy they got all over the stone and the walls and it was ultimately decided to accept the so so work because we had just waited 6 weeks for 14 sq.ft of slabs to be installed and we were over it and needed to move on. I put a lot of hard work into this shower and i am disappointed in the over all result of there work and having to deal with there business practices. The pics of the shower niche is my work and the close up pics of the slab is theres decide for your self how there quality stacks up. LOREN after Pepe complaining & cussing all day saying things like i hate f***ing using epoxy thinset. Plus trying to BS me saying the slab is bowed and thats why they wont line up , but really he just did not want to leave his clamps behind. I had enough so dont pull the bad word card grow up. I told Pepe i don't speak Italian after i said good day and the install was done and he kept at me and wouldn't leave me alone. BTW i am Italian too . And so is half my family. read more

We are 100% thrilled with our new quartz countertops from Marjan Stone! Cassandra was incredible every step of the way. She helped us select samples and then came to our house and advised on which colors would work best. She also proposed having a larger stone backsplash and putting a slab above the stove. She advised us on many small details we were unaware of, such as choosing the sink reveal. We are SO happy with the results. We absolutely love our new beautiful kitchen, and we wouldn't have had it without Cassandra's assistance and design ideas. We also want to give a big shout-out to the installers. The two installers were highly professional and meticulous in every way. Even though the counters were laser measured before the install, which added in a speedy install, some aspects needed to be addressed on site. In all cases the additional work involved precise measuring and cutting where no error could be made, or the slab would be unusable. I'm happy to announce the results were perfect with all cutout in exactly the right place. I watched closely as the counters were installed and whenever I had a concern or question, it has handled or explained fully. Stay away from those crooks! Even though I particularly confirmed with them the scope of work before signing the contract, they upped the quote by 40% after measurement. Additionally, they were lacking technicality of stone work. They did not have the engineering capability of hanging a big marble piece on the fireplace wall. I backed out of the contract because of the quote increase. I switched to Frank & Sciarrino Marbles, who had had years of experience under their belt to resolve the engineering of bolting big marble slabs. Marjan breached the contract. They lacked engineering capabilities. Despite BBB accreditation, do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Don't be fooled by those positive reviews on servicemagic.com - they are probably the only things Marjan is capable of fabricating. read more

My daughter completed a major home remodel a few months ago. She chose a different stone fabricator who came in with a lower bid and she was not happy with the result. When I was planning to install quartz countertops, she strongly suggested that I use Marjan and I've been very glad I took her advice. The first point of contact, Robert Eder, was friendly, professional and efficient. The man (Steve?) who came to do the measuring was top notch. I was told that fabrication would take about two weeks and it was exactly as promised. The installers were as friendly and efficient as the others had been and actually left the place cleaner than it been when they arrived. The seams are absolutely invisible. Horrible experience with Marjan Stone. Not only did they breach their contract and showed zero good faith, but they were also extremely difficult to receive correspondence from and once they did respond, they lacked professionalism or even basic care or concern for their clients based on the mistakes that their employees repeatedly made. During the installation of our countertops, Marjan Stones template's and fabricators miss-measured and miss-cut the stone twice. TEMPLATE DATE : MARCH 28TH INSTALL DATE : MAY 12TH 6.5 WEEKS FROM TEMPLATE TO INSTALL 3.5 WEEKS PAST CONTRACTED TIMELINE 24 + DAYS PAST CONTRACTED AMOUNT Their outlined contract terms are as follows, per their contract: Installation Time : Our standard turnaround time is 2-3 weeks from the day of template.  Items that might extend the turnaround time are:  not receiving customer's deposit, material arrival to Marjan's facility, waiting on detail information (i.e. edge type, splash height, sink template, stove specifications, faucet holes or customer's approval of slab layout).  Exceptions for the standard turnaround time apply for jobs that have complicated edge details, radius work and large projects.  Our project had no failures on our end to deliver any information or financial obligation requested and/or needed of items specified above. Marjan Stone was extremely unprofessional with respect to responding to emails, phone calls or accepting any responsibility for the delay. They continued to claim that the issues and delays were  everyone's fault but theirs. We tried to impress upon them the financial gravity of their contract breach, in that if our son, daughter in-law and their two children (4 yrs and 3 months), did not have a place to stay free of charge during the three and a half weeks beyond the completion date due to Marjon Stones negligence, out of pocket housing would have been a minimum $3000. That direct financial estimate doesn't even include the the hardships faced by the families and their children for being displaced for a considerably longer length of time than estimated. The cost of the project was $3426.00, we asked for  a 50% refund. We knew this was high, again, trying to impress upon them the financial toll, not to mention their mistakes held up completion of all of the other work for the other contractors who were responsible for other portions of the kitchen remodel, trying to get some compensation back. In the end they offered us a discount on a future project. Not only would we never use them again, we caution anyone considering this business to think twice before doing so. read more

Stay away from this company if you want good quality work! From the beginning they lied to us about our kitchen quartz. I was told that the person doing the template would give us some say in where the seam would go, but when he came to measure, he told us the fabricator was the one who made this decision. We did not like where the seam was. When the pieces were delivered, one of them was too long and it was cut on the job site. This cut was not as smooth as the cuts made by the machinery at the shop. This resulted in a jagged seam that is rough to the touch in a place where I did not want it! The company will not return my emails. Jeff the rep that came here to measure specifically discussed with my husband he would have the measurement allow for the mirror. Now Amanda with your company told us considering my husband initialed the sheet presented to him that it is our problem. Since when is it our responsiblity to be sure he knows how to measure correctly? We were offered to have it removed and recut. The job is beautiful now and we have had things re repaired before and it was a nightmare. A new smaller mirror is $421.00 we will pay to have it installed. read more

I am very happy with the work that Marjan Stone provided for my kitchen countertop replacement. I have an older home and had to coordinate with a separate drywaller to do some drywall installation after demo. They made me aware that this would need to happen after demo prior to measuring for fabrication- got a bit busy trying to coordinate it all but it came out great. Upon the initial site visit Robert gave me an estimate and it was only about $100 more than the original blind quote (the additional cost was for the edge treatment.). Marjan did a 2 bathroom counter upgrade for us in summer 2011. Very happy with the result and John was easy to work with. We used pre-fab counters since the dimensions worked out and this was the cheaper solution. There were a couple of hitches on the install but acceptable solutions were found. One piece of granite in the shower area needed silicone rather than the latex caulk they used which died after a few months. read more

I am a hairdresser who doesn't make the money to pay my mortgage if I'm not at work so I needed people who could rebuild my home while I was at work. Marjan Stone did an amazing job perfectly without me having to miss a minute of work. They were trustworthy (with the lockbox code to my home) and impeccable in communicating every step of the job with me. They even matched the Home Depot Sale price that came up after I had them give me an estimate, which was an over and above step of customer service and I really appreciated it. Money was very tight as I had no expectations for a kitchen remodel but the 4000 gallons of hot water that flooded my home destroyed everything and I was a wreck. They took good care of me and did not take advantage of me. I wish I could say that about the other companies who repaired my home but I cannot. Marjan Stone holds themselves to a level of integrity that I wish all businesses did but sadly I found most others don't.
