I had multiple questions around pricing, back-and-forth with the slab yards, and he helped me navigate it all. The crew was efficient in installing the slab for our island and cleaned up everything afterwards. They also sealed the countertop before they left. The pricing was in line with what I'd expect for this type of install in San Diego.

Separately, we also had the cabinets refinished so I've included phtotos of the before and after for comparison. Martin was a pleasure to work with and he was very supportive of our questions. Once we had identified a few quartzite slabs that we liked, he joined my wife to take a look at them and make sure they matched what we were looking for. He interacted with the manager of the stone store to make sure they removed the slabs from the stack so my wife could clearly see all of the slab face. We ended up picking two slabs. Communication throughout the process was very professional and he helped us manage a challenge with the size of the sink and made sure that what we purchased would work for our situation. We had one question post-install and he quickly came back to address the issue without a problem. I am stunned by how good the countertops turned out and how smooth the whole process was (even factoring in having the kitchen a mess for a while during the painting process). I highly recommend Ponce Countertops.

I needed a remodel of my existing Hanex synthetic countertop in my RV/Sprinter van. I needed to…read moreshorten the counter length and cut a new cooktop opening. I thought this was a pretty straightforward job but I had a difficult time finding a company in San Diego to do this. No one wanted to pick up this job, not even the company that initially sold me the countertop and did the install! Hugo, the owner of HBoss, responded to my call/text right away, came and checked it out and was willing to the start the job the next day. He even helped me by referring a cabinet maker he knew and worked alongside him to help streamline the process. Hugo was incredibly easy to work with, always responding to my texts and calls in a timely manner, his work was clean and well done; and he definitely went above and beyond in many instances. I'm a perfectionist and his work lived up to my high standards. The color match was perfect, there are no visible seams, and he built up the edge to look exactly like its counterparts. There's a reason why he's called H-"Boss". His prices are also very reasonable and well worth the service he provides. If you need any work on your synthetic countertops--this is THE guy.

The existing top was cultured marble and definitely due for an upgrade. Because it was a smaller project, our sales rep, Jill, suggested using a remnant slab--an idea that saved us a lot of money. We found a beautiful quartz remnant that was the perfect color and size. Next, their technician came out to take final measurements and create a template for fabrication. He also recommended using leftover stone to cap the pony wall next to the vanity, which was a great suggestion. The installers did excellent work and handled everything smoothly, including swapping the plywood cutout from a round sink to a square one and mounting the sink we provided. When we're ready to redo our kitchen countertops, we'll definitely be calling California Countertop again.
