California Countertop did an amazing job with our kitchen from start to finish. They communicated with us constantly and answered all of our questions. The price was reasonable and competitive. Installation was easy and they did an amazing job. Very professional company and would absolutely recommend.

I don't understand the negative comments about customer service. We went into the store twice and were helped by different people exactly as I expected to be served. Yes the decision is difficult, as they have just about every kind of countertop you can imagine, and some you've never heard of. And yes the store is a bit difficult to find at first, but not impossible. And yes the pricing may be a little higher than some others, but this company ONLY does countertops, and they do it with precision. I came in with a sketch of my kitchen design, and was able to get quotes on different materials and colors immediately. When their expert came out to measure, he used the latest is laser technology to make sure everything fit perfectly. It even measures bumps and dents in the wall so they can cut the countertop accordingly. Installation was fast, friendly, and very professional. And yes there were small cut-outs made at the factory which matched certain quirks in my kitchen. The installers answered every question I had and offered several good tips on cleaning and maintenance.

CC was great to work with. From measuring, to timeline, and finished installed product, we'd definitely use them again!

4 stars because of communication. They did a great Jon with the project, but they have to work on calling back and giving updates.

Jon came to the house on time and carefully checked the shower faucet, explained clearly the problem and gave options to fix it. Jon has done an excellent job at my house! I had a great experience with All American Plumbing, particularly Iain and his apprentice, Steve…read more I originally called because our kitchen drain had become completely backed up. I had tried troubleshooting it myself and initially thought it might be a relatively simple clog, but it became pretty clear that it needed a professional. Iain thoroughly snaked the line and got everything flowing properly again. While he was working, he also pointed out that the plumbing under our kitchen sink had a lot of smaller sections, fittings, and connections that could be simplified to minimize future issues. What I really appreciated was that it never felt like an upsell. He mentioned it simply as something I might want to consider in the future. I was actually the one who asked whether he could just take care of it while he was already there. He even hesitated because he wasn't sure he had all the necessary parts on the truck, but checked and was able to get it done. The new setup under the sink looks dramatically cleaner, simpler, and stronger. Some of the old fittings were pretty finicky, so I'm especially glad I didn't continue trying to tackle it myself. Iain and Steve spent about three hours between clearing the drain, rebuilding the piping, and making sure everything was working correctly. The pricing was also very reasonable, and Iain actually reduced the original drain-cleaning charge after I added the additional work without me even asking. Both Iain and Steve were friendly, professional, and straightforward. I also really appreciated that Iain took the time to explain what he was doing and gave me some good advice for maintaining the drains going forward. It's hard to find a plumber you feel like you can trust, and this was one of those experiences where I finished the job feeling like I had found someone I would absolutely call again. Highly recommend Iain, Steve, and All American Plumbing.

The short story: George Baird provided excellent service,…read moresucceeding in clearing a drain that two other plumbers/technicians failed to clear. And they did it for a great price. I got the name of George Baird Drain Service from a friend who has used them on many occasions and said they have never let him down, The long story: My dad lives in a 2BA house in Clairemont that was built in 1960 (it has original plumbing, which is cast iron plumbing underneath a slab). The shower in the master bath and the tub in the guest bath both stopped draining last week. My dad called his whole home warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) who then sent out a local rooter service to clear the drains. The technician/plumber they sent out spent roughly *3 hours* there. He tried snaking the clog from multiple drains but was unsuccessful; he even put a camera down the drains to try to figure out the issue. In the end, this person told my dad that the only way to clear the clog would be for them to replace a portion of the cast iron piping with new PVC -- this would involve them breaking up the concrete slab in his bathroom floor, digging out dirt, replacing the piping, refilling the dirt, and then repairing the slab with new concrete. They quoted a cost of around $2400, and said that my dad would be responsible for hiring someone else to put in new flooring over the repaired concrete slab (suffice to say, that would cost him a bunch more money). I called a friend who is a property manager and asked him for his opinion; he recommended George Baird Drain service, who he said always did a great job when he called them out to unclog a unit. Taking his advice I did that. They sent someone out the first day to clear the drain and he was unsuccessful; but instead of giving up, he said that they had some people who sort of specialized in these old cast iron pipes and said the company would call later in the day to send one of those specialists out to try to clear it. True to their word they setup an appointment for one of these specialists to come out the next day. Sure enough this guy got the drain cleared, and he did so very quickly. It was as bunch of hair that came out, and now the drains have been running smoothly ever since. He said that these old cast iron pipes have a habit of creating clogs and so he wouldn't be surprised if every 1-2 years from here on out they end up clogging again. All I have to say is that if/when they do, I know who we'll be calling to unclog them, and that is George Baird Drain service.

I called Chris based on his yelp reviews and proximity to his business location. We talked on the phone and he guided me through the process of making sure it wasn't just thermal expansion at the water heater. He didn't want me to pay for a new prv if it wasn't needed. In other words, he wasn't concerned with making a buck. It turned out it was the prv and he sent Mark out the next morning with a new prv. Mark is a great guy. Very personable and he had the prv installed in no time. He also came in to check that all was good with the expansion tank on the water heater. The house water pressure is perfect and stable now. The price was fair and nothing like what it would have been with a big plumbing outfit. I highly recommend!

When the technician arrived, he took a quick look, flashed a light around, and glanced under the crawl space--but never actually went in to investigate. After a few minutes, he told me he couldn't find anything and suggested a costly camera inspection. At that point, I asked him a question about our dishwasher, and he ran a wire through it, pushing out a bit of food buildup. It was a small fix, and I was grateful for the help. Then came the shock--he told me I owed him $200. I was stunned. For what amounted to a flashlight glance and a quick poke at the dishwasher, it felt incredibly excessive. I was home alone and felt pressured to pay, but I walked away from that interaction feeling completely taken advantage of. Thankfully, we contacted a second plumber who actually took the time to go into the crawl space, snake the main line, and diagnose the real issue--without charging a dime for the inspection. He gave us a fair quote, fixed the problem properly, and even installed a two-way sewer cleanout. That's the kind of service that earns long-term trust. I don't normally write reviews like this, but I want others to know: do your homework. There are honest, hardworking professionals out there. Sadly, this company wasn't one of them. Reach out to Andy at Flow Right.
