Despite some issues, and after some discussion, we got beautiful quartz countertops installed! Some of the downsides: communication could be better. My husband walked through the process with the templator and was never informed of where the seams would be placed. The template showed no seams and a solid piece of quartz. At the installation though, we had two seams. I pushed back and requested a reinstall of one of the larger pieces so that it reduced the number of seams from 2 to 1. After some back and forth, we got it installed. I wish the templator made it clear what we were getting and to provide us an opportunity to change it rather than being surprised the day of. Communication with Rebecca at CCM was really clear. She set expectations about what the reinstall would look like, clarified with us that in order to make it one piece it would have to be curved (& not at 90 degree angles). We approved of that, and it turned out great. So happy to have worked with Rebecca and happy that CCM made it right. read more

If you're planning on a kitchen countertop installation through Home Depot or Lowe's, you'll almost certainly be working with California Crafted Marble as their installation partner. Ours was through Home Depot, and this review is based on that experience, which was NOT a good one. For starters, California Crafted Marble was supposed to contact me once everything was ordered through Home Depot. After 4 weeks, they had still not called or emailed, and so I had to initiate the process. This general lack of care on their part continued throughout. I had the unfortunate experience of being forced to work with a representative named Lorenzo. I had a number of specific questions about the job, in regard to scheduling and about the installation itself. Without exception, I found him to be rude, almost always condescending in his tone, and on several occasions, he lied to me outright about a number of important details. Any time I'd ask him any sort of direct question, he would invariably obfuscate and be as unspecific and vague as possible. I was genuinely baffled by this behavior, and yet it lasted throughout the entire experience from beginning to end. There were a number of attempts to bait-and-switch with new charges early on that were never part of the original quote, and that only added to my frustration. My experience with the measure tech was fine as was the final installation, however there were issues with the materials as they were prepped. In the one corner where two pieces are supposed to be cut such that the pattern flows seamlessly, the measurement/cut was/is off by 1/4". Similarly, the hole for the faucet was also off by the same amount - 1/4". Because we kept the original plywood from our previous counter, the location of the hole was important, but because the hole was off, we had to bore out the hole wider than the faucet which then required that I create an additional reinforcement piece underneath before it could be installed. Could we have rejected the materials for being cut incorrectly? Sure, but that would have started the clock all over, we would have had to wait an additional 4 weeks and I would have been forced to continue working with Lorenzo. The thought of that was unacceptable to me. In addition, there would be no guarantee that the pieces would be properly cut a second time. Perhaps other representatives at California Crafted Marble are more pleasant to work with, but if your job is through Home Depot, you might want to think twice. read more

As a veteran who served my country for over 30 years, I never expected to be treated with such disrespect. Now, I'm left with a $1,500 repair bill for damage their company caused to my new car. They manipulated the system and got away with it. Folks, if you can go another route, please do so. I worked with them because that's what they work with at Home Depot if you buy your stuff from them. first at all It took one week just for the guy to take measurements and to make sure my cabinets were leveled, then it took another week for them to call me back and let me know when the install was going to be. They set the install for 2 weeks after that, so the whole time was over about a month. So unless you have no rush or you don't mind working with a company with no sense of urgency maybe it will be okay for you. Cesar read more

I could not be more disappointed with the counter top I received from this company. I worked with Roni, who I VERY specifically told that I wanted white countertops and NOT off white. after 4 weeks of anxiously waiting for our install date , come to find out the countertop is a BROWN COLOR. The countertop is so far from white that it's actually comical I called her to let her know how extremely disappointed I was and she basically told me sucks to suck and that in her opinion it is "white" I trusted her when I told her what our needs were, but that was my mistake trusting her to meet the client needs. These countertops have absolutely ruined the look of our bathroom. I truly don't even know what to say. It looks absolutely horrible. Extremely dissatisfied with California crafted Marble, after visiting Home Depot for cabinets in my kitchen Mike at Home Depot talked me into going with Home Depot for granite countertops. I Mike, who assured me my peninsula my kitchen would be one piece after talking to Lorenzo at California crafted Marble in Santee at his assured me four times in our conversation that I would not see a seam in the and he gave me three different excuses as to why he could not do the peninsula one piece even though my wife and I got three separate and all three estimates assured me, I would get a one piece but it was Nearly $1500 more. Should've gone higher bid because not only can you see the which the installer used color that was not in the pattern when they cut the two pieces that together, they chipped both edges all along the seam and then Adhered the two together, so you see chipped edges, extremely dissatisfied with both Home Depot and California crafted Marble very work. We had California crafted Marble send a different installer out to fix the seam and then installer look me dead in the eyes and said we can't fix this. We don't know how they chipped the edges. All they could do is make the surface smoother so we are stuck with these new granite countertops that we see every day. my recommendation is that you do not choose Home Depot because they will choose a lower end install . Please do your research and look at the looked at the reviews before I purchased through I would not have gone through Home Depot. I needed quartz remnant for a bathroom vanity that would match my shower and floor tile. So glad I found CCM. Nina scheduled me for a walk through the remnant yard and she even helped me choose a piece in the rain. She had a great eye and was able to let me know whether a piece was larger enough to use. They had a great selection and glad I brought my bathroom tiles to compare. I choose MSI smoked pearl which turned out perfect. Rebecca followed up and got me scheduled for measurements and install. The man that came out to measure was very condescending and there was a delay because of a broken machine which was out of their control. However, the office kept me updated and went above and beyond to get me scheduled asap. I made sure the vanity was level and secure for install and had my sink and faucet on site. CCM's remnant program saved us a considerable chunk of change on our project. There were tons of off cuts available to choose from, so it didn't feel like our options were limited by much. If you do stop by the yard to check out their inventory, BRING SUNGLASSES. The yard is hot and bright, and the surfaces are very reflective. The whole project went so smoothly. We had a terrible experience with CCM. They do not respect their customers. After waiting 5 weeks, they postponed the date for installation, and proposed another date that was 2 weeks away. They would not return our phone calls or negotiate with us in any way. We ended up cancelling the order and arranged for another vendor that was able to fulfill the entire job in 1 week. We even left a message for the owner of the company, Cody, to call us back. She never did. How's that for customer relations? Terrible! We had went through Home Depot when we were deciding on updating our kitchen. Home Depot had contracted with California Crafted Marble. After the estimate we were told it would be about 20 working days until installation. I had always wanted a durable kitchen area after having ugly white four-inch tiles with grout as our countertop for many years. We had black quartz counter tops installed yesterday. Ron and his son James were the installers. They were on time. They were professional, courteous, explained everything that they were going to do, and respected our home and dogs. They wore masks the entire time. They cleaned up inside and around the areas that they had to do construction. Both were very friendly, like old friends, and they wasted no time getting everything done. Ron asked questions about faucet placement and made sure we were confident with our choice before he cut the holes. It took about 7 hours for the whole job. The gentleman that did our estimate was great too. The counters are beautiful. I've attached photos - the rest of the kitchen isn't done yet. Mixed results. Disappointed and still waiting. CCM installed our kitchen and bath countertops last year. On the upside they are a distributor for Cambria and the product is absolutely stunning. On the downside, after a year we are still waiting for a piece of backsplash that was never installed. (Please see photo below. ) additionally, we wanted to keep our leftover sink cutouts from the installation to make cutting boards. CMM offered to make the cutting boards for us and we agreed. The cut out material left our home on the day of installation and CCM has never returned the cutting board cut outs. CCM has been to our home multiple times since the day of installation and we have mentioned the missing backsplash and cutting boards each time and yet here we are a year later still missing these items. We are also disappointed with the mixed quality of the seam work. Below are photos that include a beautiful join at one end of a seam and an uneven join at the end of the very same seam. I called yet again this week and was told my message would be taped to the appropriate employee's computer, but now days later, we're still waiting for our call to be returned... read more

We purchased 34 sf of Cambria Travella marble at approximately $100 sf. We received approximately 31sf because they did not give us the sink cut out section of approximately 3 sf. regardless of Us requesting it multiple times on multiple occasions! Our project manager Kris was rude and brushed me off every time I tried to contact her. We should get what we paid for, including remnants. We had a designated purpose for the cut out to use as an addition counter since our kitchen is so small. The installers were kind and friendly. read more

I had quartz countertops installed by California Crafted Marble through Home Depot. The price was good, relative to a few other quotes, mostly due to the fact that HD sells material by the sq ft rather than by the slab. The end results looks good with the exception of my dishwasher no longer fitting properly in the cabinet. It sticks out about 2 inches and requires modification to re-mount to the cabinet. My kitchen has an unorthodox layout with a shallow sink directly over the dishwasher. It was this way with the previous countertops, and it was this way when they came to measure. I had the new sink on hand when they measured, and I made sure to point out that fitting the sink correctly over the dishwasher was my main concern. Everything sounded like it was on track until the installers came and found that the sink was positioned wrong and impeded the dishwasher from sliding all the way back into the cabinet. Considering the new sink is smaller than the previous sink, I'm sure it could have been made to fit properly. If there was a problem, it should have been raised to me when the measurements were made, but it wasn't. It's a small oversight, but it gives my kitchen a permanent eyesore. read more

I had my LG Countertops contracted through Lowe's. BTW, I had to remove his name because his overbearing wife threatened me personally. First of all, their Estimator is an absolute LIAR. Yes, a liar. All of my dealings were with him and he lied, period. He came to my home to measure, and assured me that his installers only needed to shim the new countertops, no sub counter support required. We had a 6" overhang, he specifically assured me that the LG counters could go up to 10" unsupported. Then his template guy came and said yes, installing on the existing supports would not be a problem. He said, 7-10 business days it will be ready. 3 weeks later the installers came, 45m late. They insisted on installing a subcounter, despite what I told them 'the estimator' said. They also installed a 1/2" support over all the existing cabinet supports. They broke my trash stepping on the pedals, dented my stove which I offered to disconnect and move beforehand, and scuffed my newly refinished cupboards and cabinets with the 'dry fit'. They messed up the drywall pretty good too, thankfully the backsplash we installed covered that. So now my counter is over a 1/2" higher than it was supposed to be, showing the uneven stain lines from the old countertops we had, I have a broken dual trash can and hundreds of dollars of damage to my stove from Sears. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CCM, NOT. It has taken 6 weeks start to finish. When I spoke to 'the Estimator' regarding all the issues he said it 'wasn't his problem and he never told me they could install over the existing supports'. What a bold faced liar. All the damages were California Crafted Marble, period. Thankfully Lowe's settled with me personally and now they get to deal with this shady company. read more

VETERANS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I purchased countertops through Home Depot and California Crafted Marble was assigned the contract. Through the process I discovered that I was being overcharged for various items. Upon confronting California Crafted Marble with these discrepancies, they admitted to overcharging on several items (nearly $800 in overcharges). But instead of rectifying the situation, they chose to terminate the contract and declined to install the countertops. In what I now view as a desperate plea to have them complete the job, I informed them that I'm a disabled veteran and was in the process of selling my home and needed the project done. They were entirely unmoved by that fact. What I learned from this is if you hire California Crafted Marble and they overcharge you, you better just shut your mouth and pay up or they will simply refuse to provide the service they agreed to. I would advise anyone who cares about our military veterans or anyone who doesn't like being blatantly overcharged to avoid this company like the plague. The very best thing we can collectively do is avoid this company and eventually force them into closing their doors for good. Give them what they earned. read more

I ordered the fabrication of two vanity pieces from their remnants, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. Their remnant collection is quite big, and I believe you could probably find good deals for bigger projects there as well. I took the measurements myself for the order, which I was a bit nervous about since one of the pieces had to fit between two walls. When I went to pick up the order, the cuts were absolutely spot on, the surface was flawless, and I got two Silestone vanity tops with undermount sink cut-outs and mitered edge profiles for $880. One of the tops is already installed and looks absolutely stunning. Chris came and measured and provided the bid and completed the contract. He was super easy to work with and very accommodating. Lorenzo was our project manager and kept me apprised of updates on our project. He was always accessible and was patient with my questions. Gerardo coordinated the final measure and the team who performed the installation. We had some last minute updates with demo and he resolved the situation which eliminated the anxiety. Mike was the measure tech and was super helpful with recommendations. Our install team was spectacular: Jose, Francisco, and Bullmado were true professionals and had impeccable attention to detail. If I could give zero stars I would... I finally convinced my husband to let me get granite for our kitchen and get rid of the hideous 6x6" white tile that seems to permeate SoCal counters. We searched around for a few months, got several quotes and because of the awkward spacing of our kitchen and poor layout of our kitchen sink, we were told we would need two slabs no matter what we did. Considering this information we tried to find the most economical option for us We went to Dixieline (National City) and had Diana come out to measure and everything was wonderful. She seemed to go above and beyond, answered all my questions, and seemed so wonderful. We finally went in, picked out a stone called Azul Platino (https://www.arizonatile.com/en/products/granite/azul-platino) from their selection from Arizona Tile and called it good. We paid (in full of course) and waited for CCM to contact us and set up a day to come out and measure. Now, this is where I will take responsibility...our sink was backordered and our counters were already out so I had to reschedule a week later than what I had anticipated. I was left with the crappy fence post plywood the builders used as our sub top (I kid you not...fence posts). The guys finally came out and they were super nice and very professional. Really, really fantastic. Got it measured in no time and they were nice enough to put down fresh plywood sub tops for me. I was told 5-10 business days and they would be back to install! Yay!! SO exciting! This was on a Tuesday and a few days later I got a phone call from Rebecca asking me if I had ever come to pick out my stone. Well...yes I did. I picked it out when I ordered at Dixieline. I told her the name of the stone and she seemed to get it. So I wait and I wait for a follow up phone call to reschedule an install. We get to day 6-7 and I have heard nothing from them about coming back out. I call Rebecca again and she tells me that it is in line for production and that Alicia would be calling me soon. She gave me a tentative date which would have put me at a total wait time of 13-14 business days. Now normally I wouldn't have minded much, but we were going out of town on that 13-14th day and would be gone the remainder of the month. I had been CRYSTAL clear the entire time that I needed them installed before we left town, and I had been told it shouldn't be a problem. Rebecca said she would work on it and call me back by the end of business day. Nothing...I call the next day and speak to her again. She tried very hard to assure me she was doing everything she could to get me scheduled but it seemed like they had a sudden rush. Again, not a big deal but communication during a remodel is essential and I am making all the effort thus far. I'm having to call them for everything. Rebecca asks me to call Alicia since she is in charge of scheduling. I leave her 2 messages and never heard a word from her. So here we are Friday before a Monday holiday and its almost closing time. I reach out to Diana again at Dixieline and let her know about the situation. She sends emails and manages to get a response from Rebecca, however there was nothing that could be done. Fast forward to the following Tuesday after the holiday, I am still having to call them to get answers. I don't usually get upset about stuff, but this really chapped my hide. Suddenly now they have a fabrication machine down and are backlogged. Again, had this been communicated I would not have been as upset as I am. But it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to respond to a phone call, voice mail or email. Too little, too late in my opinion. I'm sure I will never hear a word from California Crafted Marble. I did hear back from Diana at Dixieline as I expected and she's going to forward it on to Rebecca. Very, very disappointed in the entire experience. Never, ever again. read more

My husband and I just remodeled our guest bathroom and was referred to CA Crafted Marble by Dixieline. We visited the site to pick out a remnant slab. Everything went smoothly until it came time to schedule the templating and the install. First, David, the person in charge of scheduling, rarely answers his phone or responds to messages. Second, when he says he has your work scheduled, he actually doesn't and you don't find that out until you call the day before the work date to try and find out what's going on. Third, there's a two to three week wait at every step of scheduling, so getting your countertop installed takes months. Finally, when your countertop is installed, you find that multiple obvious blemishes are present. Ah, this is why they told you not to come on sight to plan the cuts and instead sent you a far away picture of the layout...I'm very unhappy with the experience and will not be using this company for my master bath remodel. read more
