We recently had some leftover granite cut for a fireplace hearth and surround. Cassandra was very responsive, the estimator showed up to give a quote when they said they would, and follow up questions were answered promptly. The job was done as promised and we are so pleased with the outcome. Great job! read more

I chose Marjan Stone because they had remnants for small installations and because I was able to do a lot more online than I could do with the other companies I researched. They also had Saturday hours so I was able to look at remnants without missing work. I was able to set all appointments, sign the contract, make initial payment, etc. via the internet. Even though I picked out the remnant, I didn't see how the countertop was going to be laid out on the stone (I didn't ask, either), but whoever cut the stone did an amazing job! Better than I imagined. It has all of the "flow" lined up and looked sooooo amazing that I had to re-think a shelf I was planning on installing below the mirror and above the countertop so the whole countertop can be seen. read more

A three day job is taking two and a half months plus. This is the worst company to go with for countertops. Terrible customer service. They cut the stone inside and left fine white powder all over my whole house tracking it in and out on their shoes. I also had to clean off my kids toys and play area. When I brought it to their attention they came back to clean but broke a few irreplaceable things and still left a huge mess. They do not work with your schedule in any way, shape or form. They just want you to sign off on the project before you inspect their work. Still dealing with them due to very deep scratches in the new stone counter tops, an appointment they failed to keep, I don't expect it to get done. They will not install supports even if the counters over hang requires them, they will disconnect your Plumming and electrical but they won't put it back in. I've depleted all my vacation and sick leave on this project and now need to take unpaid time off because they won't work with my schedule. I suggest you look elsewhere for your countertops. Worst experience ever. read more

We had our granite countertops installed by Marjan Stone. There were a few bumps along the way but John Groissant, the General Manager, went above and beyond to remedy them. He's a top-notch guy; always available to answer and address any questions and concerns. I highly recommend working with John on your project. read more

We just had our 33-year-old countertops replaced with beautiful quartz by Marjan Stone as part of a kitchen remodel. There was a delay having to do with the stone breaking during fabrication, but once it was delivered and installed, we are very, very pleased with the result. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the delay. Initially, we had selected a different color of quartz but because I thought it would be too dark with the wenge cabinets, they were kind enough to let us change to a lighter colored quartz, which turned out to be even more beautiful than expected based on the sample in the showroom. They carry several brands of quartz as well as other countertops. We went with Hanstone Quartz, selected by our remodel contractor. The workers showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m., and were courteous and respectful. They cleaned up their mess and went over the final inspection with me and my husband to make sure we were happy with the result and to answer any questions we had about care and upkeep, etc. I highly recommend Marjan Stone for their quartz countertops. read more

It's a pleasure to be able to write this review for Marjan Stone on such an amazing job well done. We were recommended to Marjan Stone from word of mouth as we interviewed many fabricators prior to making our selection. Luckily, we made the right choice because Marjan Stone has been the highlight of our remodel. Everything from the professionalism, communication, cost, labor/installers, timing, etc has exceeded our expectations. The Stone installation in the kitchen, bar, fire place, and bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. Our designer is extremely picky and not once did he have to point out any issues or corrections to be made. In fact, they recommended ways to improve the look even if it was more work for them; great integrity. Remodeling can be extremely stressful, but working with Marjan Stone gave us piece of mind. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marjan Stone! Thank you for everything Hikmet and Crew. read more

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this company. They are disorganized and unreliable. I have wasted so much time waiting for them to show up for a scheduled appointment, calling to find out where they are and when they are coming, only to be bumped at the last minute--TWICE. The workers did not complete the job on the first try so I had to call and reschedule them to come back out and go through the whole process of waiting and calling all over again. In all fairness, the countertops look fine but the hassle of scheduling and with no one knowing what the heck is going on was more frustrating than it was worth. Will not use them again. read more

If there was a zero stars, this company would get it. They were hired by my contractor to fabricate and install countertops for our kitchen and one bathroom. They were late every time they came to the house (their first visit they were so late they asked if my neighbors would mind if the grinder was going between 10-12pm. They had to do one portion of the kitchen countertop twice and messed up the simplest cut on the side seam, in addition to trying to cover up chipping the granite and not telling us but just filling it in with calk. Their work is awful and for the amount of money we spent, it is a wonder to me how they are still in business. If you are thinking about stone fabricators and installers, DO NOT USE MARJAN. They are rude and unprofessional. Their idea of a discount on a terrible job is $0.00. read more

Marjan Stone did an excellent job from start to finish. Claudia helped me pick out the quartz for my kitchen counter top. Chris took the measurements and stopped by during the install as well. They had great prices compared to others. I would highly recommend this company. Very pleased with their excellent work and customer service. read more

We couldn't be happier with Marjan Stone. We bought a new house in November and had been planning a kitchen remodel for a very long time. We had narrowed down our material choice, a beautiful Quartz (Cambria Whitney) and were price shopping. We ended up at Marjan, where Charlie (owner) personally helped us. The prices were great, beating the big box stores and several other recommendations we were given. We like doing business with locally owned businesses so we went with Marjan. They even added in an under-mount sink at no charge. When the time came to take measurements, Edwin showed up to do the work. He was very professional, polite, courteous and provided some good recommendations on a couple of tricky spots. Marjan delivered our fully fabricated counters in just six business days and the install was flawless. My experience with Marjan was great, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality counters. read more

We just had a quartz countertop installed by Marjan, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We went to their showroom, and their prices seemed fair, so we had them out to do a measurement and a firm quote. Again, the price was really good, so we went with them. He gave us an install range when he took the measurements, and then they called a few days later to firm up the install date. From measurement to install was maybe two weeks. The guys that showed up to install were fantastic. They were pleasant and worked hard. And they were very proud of their work. Just before they were finished, they asked me to try to find the corner seam. I could not. These guys had just done a PERFECT job of seaming and coloring. Then they cleaned everything up and went on their way. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat!! Thanks Marjan. read more

Avoid, avoid, avoid. There customer service is terrible. I dealt with John DeSalvo and it was such a disappointing experience. After proving out several places for my Quartz kitchen counters I decided to us this company because of there positive reviews and there price was equal to everyone else. Once I signed the contract John would take about 3 days to respond to an email and had no interest in working with us. On our scheduled install date, they called me an hour before and said they won't make it! 1 hour notice l, not ok. Then trying to reschedule with them was a nightmare! They did absolutely nothing to make up for cancelling. If I had to do it over I would go with someone like Amazonia stone. read more

Don't take your expensive marble to these guys. Around July- October 2012, I had made the mistake of hiring Marjan Stone for kitchen marble counter installation. An unlevel installation required a second install. What a Rookie mistake. And they actually cut corners that were mismatched along the veins but their solution was to draw fake veins in with a Sharpie pen! It gets worse, my stone was installed scratched, and then sealed with with some white powder trapped under the sealer etc. Basically, the installers lack experience. Go somewhere else and save yourself some heartache. read more

6/2/2018 I absolutely love my quartz counter top from Marjan Stone! My husband and I spent the months weighing three benefits of tile vs stone for our kitchen counter tops. Finally, after three months of preparing food on the kitchen table and living between the old laminates placed in the living room and my brand new, beautiful countertop-less kitchen, we pulled the trigger and went back to IKEA to buy the quartz we loved. The work was contracted out to Marjan Stone and they took care of the rest. As I admire my Coastal Gray Quartz, I realize I should have done this three months ago. Marjan was amazing. The entire process took less than 10 days. They were on time or early for every appointment. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. We installed the cabinets (no rough top needed) and they did the rest. They supported and installed the 150lb cast iron sink with complaint. A seam was inevitable because our countertop is over 11 feet long, BUT I could barely see it. To my husband who HATES grout, this was a big plus. Disclosure, my dad is a contractor and when I have questions, I just put him on the phone. Marjan passed his test too. All in all, a FANTASTIC experience with the people and the product. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my kitchen and will go back to them for future work. read more

So glad I found this Company on next door. I got my frost white quartz countertop installed 10 days after placing the order. Not only were they fast, their prices are pretty reasonable (less than the average cost in the SD area), and also open to personal customization request. Marjan Stone also double checks their work to make sure there are no room for error. Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality of their work and the short time it took to install. Now, my kitchen looks like a showroom. read more

Marjan Stone is top notch. Claudia was helpful in choosing our quartz for our master bath remodel. John, the general manager, resolved a misunderstanding with professionalism. All time lines were met or early. Pancho and Adan did a fantastic job on the install. They were professional and took great care to cover my flooring and cleaned up afterwards. The only sign of them being there was my beautiful quartz. I would highly recommend Marjan Stone. I will use them again. read more

We just had our countertops installed through these guys and just wanted to put on a review to let everyone know that everything went perfect from beginning to end. They were very helpful in selecting the material (Claudia helped show us a lot of different choices) and finding the one that was right for our design as well as our budget. The installation happened right when it was supposed to, they were in and out in one day and cleaned everything up when they left. I would definitely recommend them to anyone or use them again for a future project. read more

Marjan Stone was an excellent experience. From my first phone call to the installation. When I first called they immediately gave me a very competent sales rep by the name of Cassandra. I felt like she was family the first 10 minutes of discussing my job. She took the time with me in the stoneyard to pick the right piece of stone for our laundry room. I was apprehensive at first thinking they wouldn't want to do the work because it's a small space. They treated me like they were doing my whole kitchen a (larger job). Then they sent Jeff who is excellent and he measured our laundry room with high tec up to date equipment. He was a very nice man I felt very comfortable with him in our home. A week later a team of young men came to install Raj and Ronnie. They were awesome. They did the work like true professionals. They entered our home with their masks on,they were gracious and humble I didn't feel like they were strangers or creepy guys in my house. I am very particular on who I invite into our home as far as service men. I've had some bad experiences where they have really bad body odor or just kind of crazy. These guys made you feel like they were family as well. Our job came out beautiful. It was painless working with Marjan stone. I highly recommend them. They are so easy to work with I'm inspired to update the stone in my kitchen. Thank you Marjan Stone. read more

When I first went to Marjan Stone to look at their granite, I was greeted by John who showed me all the choices. The gorgeous variety of high quality granite from Brazil was a little intimidating for a first time buyer. John was so helpful and answered all my questions. The granite was cut to perfection and installed to perfection, with an addition to my kitchen bay window that I had not asked for. Just this detail made quite a difference in the overall look of my new kitchen. STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL as well as the best price in town. The granite I chose from Brazil has hundreds of reflective specks that glow at night under kitchen lights. John made a personal visit several times to make sure the job was being done right. I would recommend Marjan Stone for their quality and efficiency and personal attention to detail and timeliness of installation. Work was completed on March 11, 2013. Carole Rains read more

Marjan Stone helped us select a beautiful quartz countertop for our kitchen, which we purchased from them, and they also fabricated a marble countertop for our master bath using a remnant slab we sourced at another yard. The initial consultation and measurements went very well. The fabrication and installation of the marble counter in the master went seamlessly and we were very pleased. They were able work miracles with a less-than-perfect slab, and we appreciated these efforts. We knew we took a risk with the slab, and they went above and beyond. We had debated about choosing quartz over granite for the kitchen, but the Marjan sales manager walked us through the pros and cons very professionally. They will go to great lengths to ensure that the finished product is done correctly. read more

Very pleased with Marjan Stone. This is the second job they've done for us. This job involved a granite fireplace surround and hearth. The existing fireplace was brick, surrounded by painted bookshelves and paneling. It was a very tight fit within the existing painted woodwork. Sean, the technician who measured the brick area, took extreme care to get the measurements exact. Ram, the installer, was very meticulous cutting the granite edge so that it fit perfectly. It looks as if the woodwork was installed around the granite, rather than vise versa. All of the Marjan staff were very courteous. We couldn't be more pleased. read more

We remodeled two of our bathrooms and had marble installed in both rooms. The company we hired did a great job at a very reasonable price. We then remodeled our hallway adding cabinets and needed a small counter 2x6... we didn't want to purchase an entire slab for this small job so we went to Marjan Stone where they advertise they sell remnants. We found the perfect small piece of marble and they said it would cost $144. They asked if we wanted fabrication and we said possibly. They sent someone over to measure and give us a quote. The counter had no cutouts and we wanted the basic simple edge. We got the quote within a couple days and was shocked. Fabrication for This simple counter was going to cost more than we paid for our master bathroom counter that is twice the size with two sink cutouts. We then told them we just wanted to purchase the marble remnant and were ready to purchase it for the $144 plus tax they quoted us. They told us the price would be $250 since we weren't having them do the fabrication.... which they never stated when we initially picked the stone. We went ahead and brought it because the stone was nice and we didn't want to buy a full slab. We then had the company who did our other counters do this one and paid less than half for fabrication that Marjan wanted to charge.... very disappointing. read more

Had high hopes and chose Marjan over another installer, but unfortunately ended up regretting that decision. Communication was extremely lacking and poor. The confirmed install date was changed last second after our plumber had already disconnected all our sinks, and only even found out about date change because we called the afternoon before due to our emails asking for the show-up time were left unanswered for days. This left us w/o any plumbing for an additional day and us scrambling to reschedule plumber for the reconnect. One of the bathroom counters was fabricated too short and couldn't be installed leaving us w/o a downstairs bathroom and having to schedule plumber for an additional 3rd trip out. Waited days w/o receiving an update on the misfabricated countertop before finally calling again after another unanswered email. After finally hearing back, found out they didn't order a new slab to replace the one that was fabricated too short. Now another whole week lost and wasted. Additionally, we ordered a tile backsplash for the kitchen only to find out day of install that Marjan was only providing the material but not installing it. A very frustrating and disappointing experience. Most of the issues could've been avoided with proper and timely communication as well as more concern shown to the inconvenience that was caused to the paying customer. read more

I recently finished a kitchen remodel and had Marjan do the countertops, I was recommended to them by our cabinet guy. We were able to use some of their in stock granite and get it at a much lower price than what we were getting from other places. I am always worried that cheaper price means cheaper quality or cheaper service but we were getting close to our budget so we went with it. Now that it is installed, I will say it is very beautiful. It surely does not look or feel like the cheaper option. They did a custom upgraded edge for us , it was a little more, but it was worth it. The installers came out and finished everything in one day, cleaned up and left. I am planning on redoing a bath later and only hope they still have the same material in stock when I am ready. read more

Asking me to spend more than $100 on something is like having major surgery. I say this to warn that I research the crap out of everything before I buy. Unashamedly, I will roam the whole city like a cat in heat just to make sure I am getting the best deal. In the case of looking for a new stone countertop my search included three states. It took a few months, but eventually I came back to Marjan. Robert was informative, but not a pushy sales type. He responded right away to my emails and calls, even gave me his cell number. We got a great deal on materials only, which meant we only paid for what we used and not for the whole slap. The installation was fantastic. I wish I remembered the guys names. They measured several times to make sure my existing counter subsurface and level, making adjustments where needed. I was so impressed I treated the guys to Round Table pizza, but being the professionals they were, they did not want to eat until the job was done. Robert came out to check the work and then he also measured everything. I was happy the installers passed all the quality test, because they were able to enjoy lunch. My counters are beautiful and I would definitely recommend Marjan! read more

We can't say enough good things about Marjan stone. We had looked and looked for a affordable AND professional granite person to finish our kitchen remodel and when we visited Marjan, we knew we have found the right place. We had seen their granite work in a showroom and we were impressed with how well they had matched the seams on the corners, which many places are unable to do! We loved that they had a great selection of colors and that they only charge you for what you use and don't expect you to buy the whole slab if you didn't need it. The price was the best we found (forget about the overpriced granite at Home Depot or Lowes!!). They also have their own onsite fabricators, which was important to us. The contractor they used to install our granite was late to arrive and slow to install, but in the end, we didn't mind because it was just so beautiful! I would definitely recommend (and have!) Marjan to our friends...just wish they weren't so darn far away now that we live in Escondido and need to get granite for our new bathroom vanity. :-( read more

We had a total home remodel that included an kitchen island and countertops for the kitchen, laundry, powder bath, linen cabinet, master and guest bathrooms. We picked quartzite slabs. My general contractor had used Marjan previously and picked them over Marble Express due to the long lead times Marble Express had at that time. Marjan mislead my contractor as it took them nearly two months before they got to the job. They needed 3 slabs, but we ended up using 4.5 slabs (one of which they had to buy since they dropped a slab). We should have gone with Marble Express. Even after the nearly two months time that they had, they neglected to provide us an overlay diagram showing how the cuts would go on the slabs. On the first island delivery they cut out the wrong side so that needed to be redone with another slab. After all the issues we had with cracks, chips, etc., and after they cracked the laundry countertop, my contractor had Marble Express finish the job with the laundry countertop. The quality of the job by Marble Express compared to Marjan is like night and day. Clean edges with no chips or cracks vs un polished edges, cracks and chips. Seeing some of the pictures of what they did to others, I guess our job wasn't nearly as bad, but still not up to our expectations and Marble Express showed that our expectations could be met. read more
