But we weren't sure if that would transfer to 3 Day Kitchen & Bath, but our fears were unfounded. We did a complete renovation of what had to be the worst master bathroom in California - we were quoted a very competitive price and given a quick time frame. While the work wasn't completed as fast as promised, we will say the crew was the best. Everyone was respectful and knowledgeable. The work was first rate. "Please we are a family-owned business and it's holiday time. You wanted a written quote, right? Now you've got it so I gave you good customer service." Well, yes and no. I didn't receive any product samples, still don't know anything about the company or their experience with these type of jobs. And, the only reason I received a written quote was because I called the office after to tell them of my experience. I told the supervisor instead of pressuring me to change my review, he should maybe respond with a plan on how he was going to go forward and re-direct and re-train his employee. ********************************************************************************************************* I called this company to come out to my investment property and give me a quote to replace two showers in my bathrooms. A gentleman came out , he measured I said OK great this is what I'm thinking about these materials. He said OK great, he makes notes on a legal pad of paper. I said OK what are the next steps? Are you going to show me some examples of products? When will I receive the formal quote? He said this is it and gave me a verbal quote. I said so I'm not going to receive anything in writing? How do I know what materials you're using? What is the scope of work that you're doing? I find it hard to believe that this company will send someone out to scribble on a legal part of paper. Everyone has horror stories about remodeling projects. I myself have a horror story about a project gone awry on our condo some 13 years-ago. But I'm here to tell you that Ziv Attia, construction manager of 3 Day Kitchen and Bath, is the antithesis to all that. Ziv is the cure, along with Angel and crew. Before Ziv, I met with a CM from another company, and mostly what she did was point out things I couldn't do with my budget. When I told her I preferred someone who could instead show me what I could do with my budget, she continued suggesting ideas I couldn't do. So I was a little wary when I first met with Ziv. I told him I was looking for an ally, not an adversary, and he got it. From there to the end of the project, Ziv was an ally. I daresay a friend. I'm still dumbstruck by all that I was able to get done under my budget. But that's what Ziv does. He makes things work. He also might make you a little crazy with his youthful energy, but young people are supposed to do that. Getting us off our tired old asses is a part of their unwritten job. The bottom line is that he listens--then he acts. As in all processes such as remodeling, getting to the finish line presents challenges. There are a million details needing tending to, and we all know the saying about details, about the devil being in them. This is based on experience with their salesman. I did not use them for my small kitchen. He was on time. He immediately went from 0-60 telling me what he would do to my kitchen. He kept showing me pictures of other kitchens that were not relevant to my kitchen. I am almost 69 and do not want my soffet taken out for floor to ceiling cabinets. I don't want my fridge "built-in". It sits at the edge of the wall and I want to have it exposed for ease of cleaning and for magnetic items. Then he tells me January for a start date, UNLESS....I can make decisions quickly, then they can start in 2 weeks. I got exactly what I wanted for $12k less than their quote from a GC. Then we found 3 Day Kitchens. What they had to offer was just what we needed. They replaced 21 cabinet doors with invisible, noiseless hinges, and new handles. They replaced our nine old drawers with new drawers that pull fully out. Wow, we love those! They took out our old trash compactor that didn't work and put in a pull-out drawer that holds two trash cans, one for trash and one for recyclables. They put new facing on shelf faces and crown molding where the cabinets meet the ceiling. They took care of a couple other things we requested like a pull out cutting board and replacing some damages shelves. Everything looks great! I had 3 Day Kitchens reface my cabinet doors, and I can't believe the difference. My kitchen looks (and feels) like new. They do a lot more than just replace doors -- at my place, they added molding to the top of the cabinets for an updated, "finished" look; took out a wine rack I didn't like and replaced it with a cabinet and really cool shelves for displaying my knick-knacks; and replaced the cheap drawers that were falling apart with high-quality new ones. Of course I paid extra for some of these changes, but it was well worth it. The transformation -- from dark, dingy brown dated kitchen to a light and bright modern one --is amazing. In addition, everyone involved in the project was very professional, friendly and conscientious. This company is hands down the best. They did exactly as they said, within the time frame they estimated. There were a couple minor issues (they were short 2 handles & a drawer didn't close tightly) and they fixed them within the week. I had another estimate done by a different company & the other guy was like a used car salesman. He was wheeling & dealing the price with me. He came down $3,000 but even if he was cheaper, I would have paid the higher price for 3 Day Kitchens. It didn't matter, he could only match them. With 3 Day Kitchens they had an itemized estimate & the price "is what it is", which to me was a bargain after the 2nd guy! The doors are beautiful, the hinges they used are top quality & the new drawers are the best part. No more fighting with my old drawer tracks, trying to get the drawers to shut properly. Can I give six stars!? We have been through so much reno and have had countless trades in our home, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, carpenters, sales people, etc... No one, not a single contractor, compares to 3 Day Kitchens. We almost went with a competitor who's price was nearly double and that did not include counter tops. They asked us to do all of the demo and prep in order to get a price break. Even with this price break they would have been more expensive than 3 Day. We're so happy we did some research and did not go with them as their customer service (pushy and underhanded sales tactics) and product could not hold a candle to 3 Day. The competitor's materials and installation procedure were also very inferior compared to 3 Day. We have been very impressed with the quality of materials used by 3 Day Kitchens, as well as with their customer service. Dan, Dave, Glenn and all of their other associates have been nothing short of amazing. Going far above, above and beyond. We have designed a very contemporary kitchen and have asked for everything under the sun and all we've heard is "No problem, we can do that." Dan has been our primary contact and has been excellent with communication. Answering all of our questions or addressing our concerns within minutes. He has also been incredibly patient and friendly, dealing with our constant concerns about this or that. Always accommodating our assortment of changes or requests. I have never met a nicer person who has been so concerned with making his customers happy. Dave, the owner, has been helpful and accommodating through our many iterations, changes and requests as well. Glenn, the lead installer has been very attentive to all of our small and large requests throughout the installation process. Changing things on the fly as we ask for modifications, always with a great attitude and never once complaining. Their subcontractors have also been great. Victor their painter came out and sprayed our kitchen cabinets; however the gray that was there before kept coming through so he came back again and rolled the entire kitchen two more coats. Even after we insisted that things looked ok he said "No, Dan asked me to make it look good and It's my name on the paint job, it has to be right." Our counter tops are amazing and the amount of time and care they put into making sure we were happy with it was incredible. We had to have a Jumbo slab ordered so that we could have one big piece for the new island design, the guys made sure that the seam on the wrap around on the beam that goes through the slab was as tight as possible. Working on that 8 inch piece for a couple of hours alone. They grinded and buffed and grinded again until the piece was perfect. Installation of the sink was also precise and it looks beautiful. Once they finished the install all of the guys took out their phones to take pictures. They were truly proud of their work and that speaks volumes to the kind of care and passion these guys have for their craft. I cannot say enough good things about 3Day Kitchens. I can't wait to have friends and family come over and gawk at our beautiful kitchen. Save your time and your money and call 3Day Kitchens.
