A few months ago, we had a leak in the kitchen, which we thought it's not a big deal. After a while, leak damage turned out to be way bigger than we thought so we brought a Plumber friend that our pipe is bad and needs to be replaced. We did our remodel with Creative Design & Build and were introduced to Shiran. She was the 3rd person we had come to give us an estimate. She took a lot of time listening and measuring and trying to understand what we wanted to accomplish. We were so impressed by her that we didn't want anyone else but her for our project. She did a great job explaining the process and expectations on timelines for permits etc. We had to wait the longest for city permits to begin work. Once the permits were approved and work began it was about 3 months start to finish. As with every project there are hiccups, but our entire home was redone including restructuring the layout by taking down walls and adding new walls. We also opened the kitchen and living room space, complete kitchen remodel, and had a new master bathroom, master bedroom, and walk-in closets created. All rooms were painted and new floors throughout with small additions/changes to all other rooms. The advice Shiran had was always on point. Those she had work on our home construction, tile, etc all performed great craftsmanship! The tile work alone came out even better than expected. Shiran and her team also did little things for us that did not go unnoticed, and we are very grateful. Everyone that has seen our home before and now after can't believe the transformation. We hired Creative Design and Build because of their design to completion model. Everyone I talked to who hired individual contractors and managed their own project had terrible experiences. The typical story was low quality work and contractors disappearing for days or more who were difficult to get back to fix problems and complete the job on time. Creative's total accountability providing design, project management, construction supervision and constant communication is what sold me, and they delivered as promised. We set an aggressive timeframe of about 3 months that spanned Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, and the project was completed in about 3 1/2 months. The crew showed up at 8am every day and worked all day. A few times they even asked to work on Saturday. Our project included full house flooring, and master bath, kitchen and powder room remodel. All lighting downstairs and in the master bath was redone. Basically, whole house minus the spare bathroom. The process started with a home visit from Eden, a designer and project manager, to discuss ideas and scope. She was very helpful and collaborative giving us ideas we hadn't considered, while also respecting my sensibilities. She also helped with negotiation and agreement between my wife and I, who don't always agree. She quickly took measurements and drew out room layouts. She then quickly put together lifelike renderings to help us visualize and refine the design. Next, we met with Guy the owner, to talk pricing and finalize the contract. One of the cons I would point out is that the claim of working within your budget is a bit generous because there's definitely a lot of haggling and negotiation that goes on at this stage. Creative Design delivers premium services and results so overall, I consider our final pricing fair. I was willing to pay a premium price for the end product delivered on time to my satisfaction. During construction, the crew showed up religiously at 8 am every day and Eden, our project manager was in constant contact. She and the construction supervisors, Chris and Andres, visited the home to check in on work and me at least once and usually three times a week. Eden helped keep me on task for making material selections and the work crew on task and schedule. Overall, everything went well. We had some issues requiring rework and one change order initiated by us. Both were handled promptly. The rework required some extra materials that were covered by Creative Design at no cost to us and the change order was managed efficiently. Once the rework issues surfaced, Adres and Eden teamed up on project management and we saw them daily to ensure the schedule stayed on track and we were 100% happy with results. The attention they paid to us and our satisfaction was outstanding! Remodels are stressful and expensive. Your life is disrupted and the last thing you want is a product you're not happy with. I had a salesman come out this morning and I was shocked at his lack of knowledge. He would not give me any kind of a written quote when I asked him and said they didn't do those. He gave me a range of cost of between 18,000.00 and 22,000.00 but offered no brochure to show what would be included. Their Competitor Schugarmans set down with brochures and we went over all the options and cost differentials and made me feel quite comfortable with their work and showed pictures of the completed jobs that they have done. I would be very careful before you get into bed with Creative Design. I have a feeling that additional change order work would have been required...no change orders are requested by the other contractor and they give a flat price complete down to the penny. We purchased our home in San Diego last year and had plans to remodel our kitchen as soon as possible. After meeting with a number of contractors, we decided to go with Oded from Creative Design & Build due to reviews we found about the company, the price of the remodel and the ability to start the project a short time after contracting with them. Unfortunately due to supply chain issues with Thermador (we ordered the appliances in July 2021), we did not receive any of our appliances until January 2022. After receiving most of the appliances, we began our remodel. The project started off really well and the demolition was very quick. We removed a non-load bearing wall which really opened up the kitchen/family room. The contractors doing the work were very friendly and worked well with us on any requests we had. They modernized both rooms by smoothing out the texture on the walls and ceiling, installed new LED lighting, new flooring, new base boards and crown molding in both rooms. Overall the project took longer than originally planned, partly because some of the remaining appliances did not arrive in the timing as planned. It took us some time to figure out the color of the wood we wanted for the island cabinets and the wood on the custom range hood cover, however we are so happy we didn't rush into a decision on the color until we were completely satisfied it was what we wanted. Our project manager Oded did a great job to make our dream kitchen into a reality. He was very supportive and flexible when our appliances were delayed and was ready to start as soon as we knew we had what we needed. I very much appreciate all the team members who helped our kitchen. We love our new kitchen and it brings a smile to our face every time we walk into the room. So I've lived in this condo for ages (and will probably die here haha). It was time to update it (probably 10 years overdue). So I bit the bullet and went on the search for a contractor for a remodel of my condo. I was going to start with the kitchen, and two bathrooms. This was the first time going through this, so was not sure what to expect. All I knew was that (from listening to others with their remodel project) I will probably go through hell with delays, inventory issues, unexpected costs, and shady contractors. So I started my journey last December 2021. I researched on Yelp, compiled a long list of potential contractors, researched more, sent initial inquiries, whittled it down to final 3 contractors that I would meet with. So I met with the 3 contractors. All of them seemed good. I made it a point to go through all of them before I'd make my decision. The Project Manager from CDB was Adam Nasini. I will elaborate specifically why I went with CDB (which was the second contractor I met with). The first contractor seemed fine at first. She gave some good ideas on what to do with each room. She sent the estimate pretty quickly. What took them out of the running for me was that she completely forgot to include one of the bathroom. That was a red flag that she probably would not be detail oriented. She never got back to me on a corrected estimate. The last contractor seemed good. Had some ideas on the design. The main vibe I got from them was "you buy the stuff and we'll put it in. We'll even pick up the stuff if needed" So this brings me my I chose CDB over all the others. Adam came across as very passionate with what he does (some times too much haha). He was very passionate and creative on what could be done. I pretty got really good vibes from him him and felt he would be a good fit as a contractor. He was the only one who that followed up with me to see if I made a decision on who to go with. Even before I made my decision, he suggest I come down to the office and he came show me designs and the showroom, and a more closer estimate, and no pressure whatsoever. I like what they had and the estimate was fair. I made my decision to go with CBD but had delays on starting which was more on my part because I was waiting on loan approval and also HOA approval for architectural improvement. The actual remodel did not start until May. In the meantime, I picked out my tile and quartz slab for the kitchen countertop. Adam had a great eye on design and was really helpful in picking out backsplash and tile design. We started on the kitchen and guest bathroom. Overall, it went pretty smooth although it took slightly longer than expected, but still good as they worked on two things at once. The kitchen stood out as it turned out better than I expected. The cabinet were custom built, and used real wood. Very sturdy and some shelves were pull-outs. They also built a nice pull out spice rack. The countertop was the real star. It was precision cut on-site and was a perfect fit. The tile work was impeccable. The guest bathroom was great too. The tile work was exceptional. I like that they build a shampoo niche. Once the kitchen and guest bathroom was finished, they then started on master bathroom. This only took 3 weeks which was fantastic. This was even with the roadblock of finding the double vanity was damaged and I was scrambling to get a replacement. That was they only inventory issue I had. The master bathroom turned out great. They were able to add an outlet for an electric bidet. I am completely happy with the work and overall experience. I didn't go through a living hell that others were experiencing. Sure it sucked living out of a small fridge for a few weeks and using the Blackstone in the patio but it was temporary and well worth the wait. And they were no surprises on costs. It remained at the quote they gave me. I highly recommend Creative Design and Build, especially if Adam is your Project Manager. He was on-site almost every day overseeing the progress. He always gave me status updates, answered questions on potential orders. He always remembers all the to-do tasks that I've noticed and nothing slipped by or was forgotten. Thumbs up! read more

We set up an appointment time for the following week to meet at my condo. When Adam arrived, he shared his vision of the conceptual design he had in mind. I was impressed by his passion and drive. It was evident he loves the design process, and genuinely has his clients best interests in mind. We met a week later in his office. The 3D model of his proposal for my reimagined kitchen was awesome. He had every detail and cost breakdown of the project for me to review. I decided to go forward and sign a contract. Three weeks later, the project began. Adam worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was clearly explained throughout the project. He is methodical and a stickler for details. He treated my remodel like it was his own. Adam texted me to confirm what time the work crew would arrive each day, and gave me updates as they occurred. Adam's core values are reflected in everything he does; honesty, integrity, trustworthiness and ethical behavior. These attributes set him part from the others. It is a long review. I wrote it on Oct 16, 2023. I promise to keep this review posted if anything happens later, even if I don't think there will be. So, if you saw this review five or even ten years later, it means how well they did the job. I bought an old house (~1450 sqft) that had not been upgraded for more than 30 years. Everything was old. The ceiling was low. There were a lot of old-fashioned designs that did not function well and did not look nice either. Ben helped me with this whole home renovation started at the end of July. We finished in the middle of October, which was longer than expected. But it was because the materials we ordered at the beginning of the project got delayed. I felt lucky because we ordered almost everything at the beginning as Ben suggested. Otherwise, it would have been delayed more. When people do the renovation, the two most important things might be the function and budget. I have to say CDB is not cheap, but it was worth the money. During the renovation, there was always something that happened unpredicted. Unlike other contracts that might charge you for each small addition, they tried their best to fix it without charging me more. There are several things I think worth pointing out: 1. I am not a native English speaker. Many of my friends had concerns about my contract with an American guy. They were worried that there might be some miscommunications that might have bad effects on the project. I had to say, yes, it did happen several times when I thought Ben understood me, but actually not quite. I was frustrated and thought I might need to spend more money on it. Fortunately, Ben is very understanding and easy to work with. He helped me to fix the issue every time without any complaints. 2. I wanted a curbless shower. However, the workers got confused and made a ramp instead. I was not happy and frustrated when I saw it because I did not want that. However, it was halfway done. I felt very stressed and pissed off. Because I had little to no knowledge of renovation. I was not sure if it was my fault for not making it clear or not. Luckily, I had Ben as the project manager. He had them redo it completely. And now, I have a dream curbless shower(Please check out the picture to see how beautiful it is). 3. Ben is very considerate and helpful. He helped me to pick up all the material based on my budget, and needs, as well as the style I liked. He also helped me to get discount prices from the vendors, including doors, windows, etc. He also has good taste in style. With his help, It turned out to be such a beautiful project. I would go back to Ben for any future project and recommend him as a good candidate to anyone who is considering remodeling. read more
