We just completed a full house remodel with Guy and PCD. Having built three houses from the ground up and having worked with many contractors, I give Guy my strong recommendation. Guy will not be the lowest bidder, so if cost is your only criterion, I'd say save your time. But cost and value are very different. Some things to keep in mind about Guy: --Guy does not charge a commission on materials. You can select materials from an vendor you like, you can get Guy's contractor discount, and that is all you will pay. Guy makes nothing on appliances, flooring, ceramic tile, or any other material purchases. --Guy is not one of these contractors who sends you a change order with additional charges every time you ask for something. In our year-long full house remodel, the number of change orders was zero. Not one. There were many things we asked for that Guy almost any other contractor would have charged extra to deliver: extra shelves, flooring upgrade, installation of items that we purchased independently. --When Guy sees something that he believes should be done, he simply does it-and absorbs the cost. Our kitchen counters were rather dated quartz. To save money, we had decided to reuse them. Guy was not happy with reinstalling the old countertop so he purchased and installed a new and beautiful premium quartzite countertop. He bought extra material so that he could match it to a new hearth (which also was not in the contract). When Guy installed new patio doors he also did landscaping that was not in the contract to make the doors more convenient and attractive. --Guy spends a great deal of time on the job site, is obsessive about detail, and responds immediately with any concerns or issues. When I sent Guy an SMS message he usually responded within ten minutes-and then dealt promptly with any issues. --Guy has assembled a simply outstanding team of professionals. From the ceramic tile installation to the flooring to the new stairway--everything was done by craftsmen who have mastered their craft and take pride in their work. Finally-and for me most important of all-Guy is absolutely honest. He is a good man who treats your project as if it were his own home. There is nothing more important when choosing a contractor than trust, and from the very start we knew that we could rely upon Guy to do the right thing-consistently. I just moved into this house and the master bathroom needed a complete remodel including shower, vanity, lighting and all new plumbing fixtures. Also added new flooring which PCD found an excellent match so living room and bedroom flooring was added to the scope of remodel. They also hung all my paintings and artwork. We hired Guy's team in 2020 to remodel our kitchen. This year we hired him to remodel our three bathrooms (the master, our kid's bathroom which involved taking out a door and wall and moving fixtures, and a half bath)and reface our fireplace. The work was incredible. Guy takes so much pride in his work and it's really important to him that they get it right for their client's needs. He guided us through the full process, came to pick out tile and counter tops, gave feedback on different fixtures and cabinets, created the layout and design, and is a wealth of knowledge and insight. He was patient and understanding as we needed to make adjustments to timelines and the project when a few areas didn't come out as I visualized at first and after we had a family emergency that we needed to have some privacy for and stop work for a bit. He was incredibly open and gracious in bringing his team back to make some adjustments prior to completing the projects. Right after we completed one bathroom, a family member in a wheelchair accidentally scratched three of the cabinets with their chair. Guy had his cabinet guy out a few days later and they replaced the cabinet doors at no cost. We worked in two phases and all expectations were met. Jose and Raul on his team are wonderful guys and really talented at their craft as well. We absolutely love our finished bathrooms and can't recommend Guy and his team enough. Our master bathroom is exactly as I imagined and is one of my favorite spaces in our house (in addition to the kitchen). Our kid's bathroom appears twice the size as it originally did and the space is better maximized. Guy is also just a genuinely great guy that you'd want to hang out with. We went with Guy and his crew for our kitchen addition/remodel. We interviewed a total of 4 contractors for this job. We had 1 who didn't submit a quote/proposal and out of the 3 Guy was not the cheapest. We decided to go with him because during the initial interview he actually took the time to understand what we wanted to do and I felt that gave him the ability to give us a proper quote for the job. I definitely did not want to go into a job and then have multiple change orders. Once permitting was completed (took 3 months for permit approval..typical) it took about 2 months to complete the job. It was quicker than I expected. While we were waiting for the permit to be approved we picked out countertops, flooring, backsplah, hardware, plumbing etc. This really helped speed things up as thibgs were chosen a head of time. Guy was communicative, easy to work with and his crew were professional, considerate and friendly. We're happy with the work that Guy and his crew did and we are definitely enjoying our kitchen. Would totally recommend him for your next job...definitely worth getting a quote for him at least. This is my very first review on Yelp and Guy and his team of professionals have earned it with flying color! They have remodeled my kitchen,laundry room, butler's pantry and wine closet recently pretty much within 6 weeks. I wanted to minimize the kitchen downtime as I cook a lot, so efficient execution of the remodel project was second on my priorities right after quality. I am very happy to report that Guy and his team were able to deliver both and more. I was able to cook in my brand new kitchen right after 4 weeks just as Guy had promised. That was pretty impressive considering the size of my kitchen and all the custom work on the cabinetry. I was overwhelmed initially by the many decisions I had to make regarding the various design aspects, the slabs, appliances, plumbing fixtures and various hardwares I had to select. Guy went above and beyond in guiding me through the process and even accompanied me to the various vendors so that I could take advantage of his contractor discount. Guy and his team take pride in their work and honor their quality promise. There was no 30 page contract to sign, no change orders either. Given my limited time frame, I didn't have everything penciled out going into the project, but they worked with me and listened and responded quickly to my inputs/feedback throughout the process and all within the agreed upon pricing. I have dealt with a few contractors before for my previous houses, and in two occasions I had to resort to complaining with BBB in order to get them to perform and I ended up spending more money and waiting much longer than planned. Several months ago I was awakened by a large water leak coming from several spots on the ceiling of my bedroom and just missing the bed, The ceiling was bubbling with water. The large patio above the master had failed and rain was in the forecast for weeks. I had several estimates--many of them incomprehensible, incomplete patch jobs that would have looked awful and not long lasting, and some no shows- From the moment I met Guy I knew I had found the right person for the job. Not only was he thorough in his explanation of what was needed and gave me a fair price on the spot but also I felt assured that he understood the quality and look I was after. He and his team got to work completely rebuilding the patio from the rafters and improved on all the problems that caused it to fail- They added extra drains, improved the tilt for water run off and with the new tile he helped me choose, the patio looks amazing! They also did a great job patching the bedroom ceiling. It actually added value to my house to have this new updated beautiful patio! As luck would have it, several weeks later my second patio started to leak-- I called Guy and they got to work on it right away-- Months later and many rains after, no problems at all-- I have since hired his team to update my ADU and remodel two bathrooms. If somebody is looking for a quality job, this is a company that will provide it. I have been working with PCD remodeling and Guy Azolay for years already. The company did few major jobs for us, including emergency water damage repairs, leaking roof and walls repair, bathroom floor tiles installed (absolutely amazing job!), carpeting, painting inside the house, plumbing. This week they finished other large project at my house. They fixed and painted patio cover, and fixed balcony. They actually ended up to basically build a brand new balcony because when repairs started, it became obvious that everything must be removed and rebuild. What I like about this business, that everything is always done on time. If contractors are scheduled to come at 9 am, they will be there. When I have questions, I call Guy, and he answers right away. When we had a water damage that happened right before New Year Eve, he will be at my house within 30 minutes after I called him. Price wise they are very reasonable. We had 3 more estimates from different contractors, and PCD prices were somewhere in the middle. They are not cheap, but they worth every dollar that you spend. Guy is very knowledgeable, helps us during selecting the fixtures, always responsive and reachable on phone, is blessed with a great team of professionals, does first time right designs, very flexible for last minute changes and modifications, thinks from customer perspective, great sense of humor. Guy respects customers and their needs since remodeling is such a time consuming, always learning, multiple selection options, expensive and once in a lifetime event for customers like me. Guy went beyond customer satisfaction when he accepted my request to replace the vessel sink to under mount sink even after mounting the vessel sink and i used it for couple of days. Only after few weeks did we realize that vessel sinks are not a suitable option for kids bathroom. One thing for customers who are reading this message is to always ask for a electrical outlet near the potty seat for future use. Lessons Learnt: 1. Always ask the lead time to procure the fixture before selecting the fixture. I had to change my selection twice. 2. Vessel sink is not for household use.
