Guy and his team are excellent. Hire PCD. They just finished installing hardwood floors, new baseboard, rebuilding an open staircase, and remodeling our master bath. We could not be happier. The project took just under four weeks. They were dealing with a 40-year-old house that had some surprises along the way. For example, after ripping out the carpet in one room it was apparent a cement slab was at least a half inch off level. Then there was the surprise that, after ripping out carpet and tile in one area, it was found that both overlayed a damaged wood floor. No problem, it was dealt with. Everyone we was a perfectionist. They did what they said they would do and showed up when they said they would. And importantly, when you have people in your house virtually every day for four weeks you better like them. We did. Guy is simply a nice person with a real desire to make the job right. Without hesitation, I give PCD a five star review. The owner, Guy, provides quality product at a fair price. He provided an estimated timeline and was able to meet or beat that timeline on each project that we had with him. He was honest during the process and provided practical ideas to make the project even better than I originally planned. He politely educated me when my ideas would probably not be worth the price tag, while I imagine that other contractors would gladly let me pay the extra money. He sincerely cared about the work he was doing and his team was always polite and respectful. The first project was a new shingle roof for my mother's house. He finished this project in 3 days so that the roof could be completed before the forecasted rain. The next projects were done in phases so that we could continue living in the house while the renovations took place. The complete project included a complete kitchen remodel, custom vanity in the bathroom, fireplace overhaul, new flooring and paint throughout the house, removal of an interior wall, new recessed lighting throughout, new cabinets in the hallway and laundry room, addition of a front patio, extension of a back patio with a pergola, raised garden beds and new sod. What a treat to find Guy and PCD. I had a drain line in my rental condo which failed, and required demolishing a bathroom to fix Jose did EXCELLENT work and both Guy and Jose stayed in such good contact and made the entire process as easy and smooth as possible for me. I believe they generally do much bigger jobs then mine, but I was treated as if I were their most important job and priority at all times. I've never experienced this kind of attention to detail and communication from any type of contractor before: multiple calls and pictures each day with updates (I was not on site) and work was always done when and how it had been presented. My husband and I needed our kitchen cabinets to be refaced. After meeting with Guy we decided to go with him and are very glad we did! We were originally going to go with white plastic veneer, but Guy suggested we might like to consider wood. We did, and absolutely love the wood doors and drawers, the color, and how much richer our kitchen looks because of it! Just stunning! In the process we did have a few problems, but Rafael fixed them and the kitchen looks amazing. He also surprised us with a large drawer that slides underneath where our kitchen stove top is, which we were not expecting. That may be one of our favorite additions in our new kitchen! We will definitely be using them for our next project sometime this spring. Rafael was in charge of the job and his workmanship is close to perfection.
