When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

We loved the results, and were satisfied with all of the team who were pleasant, professional and did fantastic work. I had a very specific vision with choosing the materials, updating the layout, and paying attention to the details -- and Darrell made sure everything turned out right. His crew was very professional and did an excellent job with taking care of the details in the renovation project. I was most impressed when they laid down thick cardboard on the floor to prevent any scratching during the construction. They really take care of their clients. It's also re-assuring to know that they have a 15 year warranty. After the initial install of my kitchen sink faucet, I noticed a drip leak the next day, and the crew immediately came back to address the problem. We've had no leak since then, and everything is working great.

Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

In the last seven months, we started design and build our beautiful ADU. All started with interviewing about five companies, we decided to go with this company from few reasons. Their price is fair, they are very knowledgeable and they took us to few ongoing projects but on top of that, they are like an open book. Their architect worked with us closely to make sure the design meet our expectation, engineering took about three weeks and we submitted a permit. The city took about 2 1/2 months to approve. Start to finish of the construction took three months, that is much quicker than we expected!! The crew was very respectful, clean and efficient. The project manager was on top of everything and updated us 3 to 4 times. Overall, we are super happy with the results of having an ADU in our property. read more

Working with Ilai on our detached garage project was a truly positive experience. From the beginning, he was responsive, easy to communicate with, and kept us well-informed throughout the process. In N Out Remodeling did a kitchen remodel for me in 2022. Recently, one of the kitchen drawers was loose so I called them to request their services to take a look at the drawer and provide me with an estimate. Ilai came over within a couple of days and told me what needed to be done. A few days later, two of their employees came over and within the hour the kitchen drawers were fixed and reinforced so as not to repeat. They were all very friendly and professional. The initial design was good, but together we landed on something even better because they actually listened and engaged. Never once felt like we were being told what to do. Timeline and contractor coordination? On point. There was a moment where a trade was running behind and we raised it -- they took the feedback well and kept things moving. There was also a moment where we pushed back on the slab count and rather than brushing us off, they looped in the right people to work it through with us. That's just good business. What really stands out though is the design thoughtfulness. They respected our very specific taste while also gently steering us toward choices we'd love long-term. His crew was very professional and did an excellent job with taking care of the details in the renovation project. I was most impressed when they laid down thick cardboard on the floor to prevent any scratching during the construction. They really take care of their clients. It's also re-assuring to know that they have a 15 year warranty. After the initial install of my kitchen sink faucet, I noticed a drip leak the next day, and the crew immediately came back to address the problem. We've had no leak since then, and everything is working great.
